Great customer service but had 2 rate increases in one year and 4 months, one being about 6 months after I moved in. I had an online rate(supposedly locked in) when I secured the storage unit. I inquired to the DM about the rate increases but he did not respond. Lack of communication is a problem for me.

Do not rent a storage unit from this location or any cubesmart location for thar matter. It seems like it may be a good option, DO NOT DO IT. I rented a unit in June, placed all of my belongs in the unit from a 3 bdrm, 2 bth house. On November 29th, 2024 my unit and along with at least 20 other units were robbed. Someone cut the lock off my unit and others and took whatever they wanted. The facility has a secure gate around it with gate code access only. How did the thief get through the gate to have access to the units first and second how and why were the security cameras down suddenly and not working? So now it's a mystery of how it happened, who did it and why?! A police report was filed and the police was supposed to issue me a case number so an insurance claim could be filed theough cubesmart. I never received a case number, a copy of the police report nor have I heard back from the police concerning finding my items. I was instructed to go on Facebook market place and look to see if someone was trying to sell my stolen items on there and to go to the pawn shops in the area and ask around if anyone was trying to sell my items! And he requested receipts for all of the electronics that were stolen. Like What!?! Firsr Who has receipts for TV's purchased over the years and gaming systems, xbox and Wii, that were gifts!? Second NO that's not my job to search, investigate and recover items stolen from my "secure" storage unit. I reached back out to Ashley the store manager and she didn't seem the least bit bothered or even concerned. Didn't offer to start the insurance claim or reach out to the police to get an update on the investigation. I'm still waiting on Feb 15, 2025 to hear back from the douglasville sheriff's department and to start an insurance claim to recover at least half of what was taken from me. I will come back and update this review. This location could definitely learn a thing or two about caring for their customers and protecting the customers and their belongs. Oh and I failed to mention the pricing. I reserved my unit online and selected the locked in rate so the unit price wouldn't change, about 4 or 5 months in the price increased from $156 to $208. How and how? It's not an apartment or the housing market where the rates fluctuate. It's a storage unit it with false advertising!

Been here for a year and never met a worker on premises. Every time I need someone the office is closed. I call and I told there’s no staff for the location. This location is pathetic, but I blame myself because there was nobody there the day I paid for it!!!!! And to top it all off my rate was always different for what? My unit didn’t change

I met a great young lady today at CubeSmart Self Storage. I had been waiting for my granddaughter for about 45 minutes and had to use the facilities. So I walked into the office and asked if I could use the restroom. The young lady in question, stood up immediately and guided me to the restroom with a smile. Just incase anyone is wondering, her name is "Willa!" I hope I got that right. And, on top of all of that the main thing is, the most important thing is that the bathroom was very nice and clean! And, it even smelled fresh! Great job "Willa!"

Friday evening, I called the store manager, Haniyyah. She was very cold and distant to me. She made me feel as though I couldn't remember a thing we discussed. I have been sick in 2018. This can be proven, and they have been going up steadily on the smallest box there. Still, I paid it. I'm trying to get better, and empty it out. I told her, but she made me feel like the worst person on the face of the earth. She didn't have to do that, no matter what she may be going thru, don't take it out on a person who may not realize the problem! All they know is, the rent keeps going up! I rent the smallest unit there! I never was late! CubeSmart bought up a bunch of those units around Metro Atlanta. It's not easy in this town! Rates for rentals and storage units have skyrocketed! Still, for someone who have paid on a consistent basis, I don't understand why I was talked to by this female like this on Friday as if I didn't remember the dialogue we had two months prior. She was rude to me as well. In fact, she remembered NOTHING AT ALL. Never mind what I said to her. It went right out the window. I believe in not burning bridges but in her case, it doesn't matter at all. She started in on me with no reason. So customers mean nothing?? I'm confused!! When it was 4 Seasons, they weren't like this! The lady I talked to then was much nicer.

Manager very professional, very helpful, very friendly. Facility is well maintained and clean. DO NOT care for corporate policy of continually raising rent on longer term customers. To be honest that seems unfair and sleazy. Longer term customers should get some consideration for their continued business and not be taken advantage of with rate increases that rise above and beyond standard rates!!

First off let me say this i almost lost hope. I was looking for a storage unit not too far from my house that had the special going on and every time I would go to this particular spot they were always closed. I just so happen to ride down lee st. Headed home and saw this hidden gem on my right side. I immediately went in I was greeted aa soon as I walked in and everyone was so friendly. I worked with Haniyyah and she was sooooo Amazing . Haniyyah made sure to make my process easy, stress free & fast. She was willing to go step by step showing me different units and which ones would be a fit for my needs. Her spirit was beautiful and she sold me at the door when I met her. I’m so glad that I made that turn on lee st. I would highly recommend. If I could give 10 stars I would. Kuddos to Haniyyah and the young man that works with her. Y’all are awesome and y’all rock ! I haven’t been to CubeSmart since February. Moved out before my billing cycle told Christina because Jae had already left this company, (She was the best), and she walked with me to check the unit. Everything was great and we walked back to the office. Why did I receive a bill saying I had more than 1000 in back rent? I thought after 31 days you get auctioned. No one does property checks anymore? There isn’t even a lock on the unit. So I was never moved out the system and some how my balance keeps going up. This is the first communication from CubeSmart I’ve had since I left. I didn’t even receive calls. Idk who the new person is but auctions are probably backed wayyyyy up if I’m getting a 1000 dollar bill and I moved out back in February. Regardless it doesn’t hurt me or my credit more so the AR for that store. Goodness CubeSmart gets worse and worse. High turn over AND closures of stores. Y’all better run while you can. ??

I needed a unit for a few months while I was moving. The process to reserve a unit and sign the lease was extremely easy and took less than 10 minutes. I was able to move into my unit the next day without needing to speak to anybody. But I did make a stop into the office to return the temporary lock and the manager was very nice. Move out was just as simple. I sent an email to the manager and they sent me my proof of move out the next morning. I really appreciate your help and will recommend this specific location to anybody in the area that I know is looking for a storage unit. NOTE TO CONSUMERS: Please note, I only needed this unit for less than 2 months and so I was able to take advantage of promotional pricing without having my rent go up at all. But if you read the fine print it does say that your initial rent rate is only temporary and they will increase it over time. This is a common practice for all storage unit places. Just be aware of what you're signing.

The parking lot is so dark with only one light at the door. The motion lights don't work like they are supposed to. I signed up with Cubesmart because of the rate and I was told it would not change. It was supposedly locked in because when I signed up I did everything online. However, I just received notice that my rate is going from $166.00 to $216.00. Are you kidding me??!! Plus I have requested to speak to a store manager twice, I still have not received a phone call and that was over a week ago. I will be ending my services with them and going somewhere that is safer, and honest. **UPDATE** THE "BRANCH" MANAGER IS THE RUDEST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO BE TRAINED PROPERLY AND SHOWN HOW TO INTERACT WITH CUSTOMERS APPROPRIATELY!! SHE MOST CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT BE BRANCH MANAGER!!

BEWARE!!! 40% INCREASE EVERY 90 DAYS!!! I’ve been renting at CubeSmart for 3 months and my rate increased dramatically, $105! Upon renting I took an online deal for 35% off, THAT IS STILL CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED, but will no longer apply. When I spoke to a store manager I was told that there was completion in the area so the rates were increasing and that they can raise them at any time per the contract. While I understand inflation the increase, to me, has not been justified. I reached out to a regional manger and have yet to get any response and it’s been over 2 weeks. DO NOT fall for the online promotions!! Your rate will increase after 90 days and that was echoed to me by the store manger. Seems like they get you in under the reduced rate and then lay on dramatic increases knowing how difficult it can be to move out. Truly unfortunate circumstance that they put you in.

UPDATE 11/2022: Well, it was too good to be true. I was told that my monies would be refunded to me by Jae, and never could reach ReKaya again. Because I was told to pay, even though I was moving-out the next day. I called, left messages, was in the office, left messages for "Stephanie," as per Jae, sent email and no one has responded with my refund, yet you billed me for December ???????. Very Poor customer service. 10/2022 It's a little pricier than I would like, but it's nice, roomy, clean, well secured, & the Administrative Assistant ReKaya is a very nice & friendly individual.

From Sept 2022: Your Manager is AMAZING ! Very detailed and patient Edit:February 12th 2024, this ‘new manager’ TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Haniyyah Williams. Not only does she refuse to answer the phone during business hours, I left a voice message and she immediately replied with an email stating the phones weren’t working :I had additional questions in the email and when I replied with my questions no answer. I had to submit a reservation request just to get a call and that’s when I asked my questions regarding the prorated amount. Now all of the sudden when a new reservation is requested all of the sudden the phone works Per our conversation : she stated I could pay a prorated amount based on the day I moved out. My last day was the 8th , I sent an email on the 11th with a picture stating my storage was empty. She called me on the 12th demanding for payment . I was just hospitalized due to a car wreck and didn’t have any of that info credit card on me and I told her that on the 15th I would not only get paid but also have that card on me. She told me that I would be responsible for paying the WHOLE MONTH for an empty storage. I said please move me out and if you need payment to move me out. I will have all of that on the 15th, she said no I will be responsible for paying the whole month and she will be sending me to collections if I don’t pay in that moment. Mind you I have been there for almost over 1 year with continuous rent increases never ONCE did I complain or was late and she had the audacity to tell me she was sending me to collections over $42 while I was laying in a hospital bed with my ID and CC in an unknown location because I fainted on the scene. She hung up on me, I have been emailing and calling no response

My overall experience at Cube Smart (Lithia Springs, Lee Rd.) has been great. It’s a clean facility and I never had any issues with security concerns or pests. Unfortunately, I could not continue to rent here due to the extreme increase in rental costs. My renewal amount nearly doubled. This however is not a reflection of the staff, who have always been helpful and polite. Naomi, in particular was wonderful and made my move out process hassle-free. She would be the only reason I would consider renting from Cube Smart in the future.

Cube smart over a 12 month period increased my rent 3 times and it went up to $195 for a small outside unit. It was cheaper for me to purchase a large storage building in my back yard twice the size and with an upstairs storage loft for $160 month

I'm very pleased with the quality of service and professionalism, not to mention I got a note that is failed to attach my lock properly and if I couldn't fix the problem they would cut my lock and replace it. While that would have been a pain, I caused the problem, and I'd much rather buy a new lock than lose my valuables!! Thanks Cube Smart!

My review is low because prices have gone up two times in the middle of a pandemic. While other companies are offering a percentage break, yall are giving out percentage increases. My unit went from being $86 to now $112 according to this letter I just got. This absolutely ridiculous. How do yall think this is ok? Tiwauna is best! I visited Cubesmart today to pay for my unit but I left my bank card at home. She was so patient and professional throughout the process and she even gave me a Cubesmart cardholder to attach to the back of my cell phone so that I can keep up with my card. I called before coming and she was just as courteous on the phone. It is nice to meet employees who go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.

I initially signed up for the storage unit online, I made a reservation for a 10 x 15. Once I came to the location to look at the unit they told me that they did not have any 10 x 15’s available even though I had a reservation. They did however say that they had a 10 x 20 available, looking at the storage unit size I could tell it was not 20 feet long. I told the lady that there’s no way that this unit is 20 feet long she informed me that it is, I had to go and get a tape measure from my truck to show her that it was indeed 15 feet long. She told me that they would have to fix it in their computer and then I can come back the next day and reserve the unit, which I did. While setting up my account they try to force me into purchasing insurance from them, only after inquiring did I find I can use my homeowners insurance. I requested that my account be set up on auto pay, after one month I received a notice that my payment was still due. I called the location and the lady was apologetic and told me she would get the auto pay set up for me. After the second monthly payment was due I received a past due notice for the previous month, I called the location and the gentleman told me that they cannot set up auto pay over the phone and that the lady I spoke to the first time was misinformed. He then told me he can waive the late fee in a tone which was not so friendly as if I was the one who made the mistake. I ended up calling the corporate number to get the auto pay situation resolved, and by the way the gentleman who said he would waive the late fee never did that. I went ahead and paid it anyways, if it was not a burden to move all my things out of there I would have done so immediately I will never do business with this location ever again.

One of the worst scenarios happened. I went to go get my stuff out of storage and to my surprise, there was a red lock on my storage. I could not get into my storage. My account is up to date and has been for weeks. I live in California. I came to get My stuff. When choosing this facility, I was assured that if any complications arised they have an emergency personnel who could be dispatched to deal with these situations. I understand human error happens, I was not only inconvenienced but also disrespected. There was no sort of compromise or care towards this unfortunate situation. The Manager Decourdey Harris gave so many excuses and refused to speak with me even after the operator Nick asked him to explain to me why accessing my storage unit the same night would be a problem.His excuse he gave the operator was that he was 30 miles away. I had just driven 110 miles from Columbus Ga to the Lithia Springs location. I literally gave these people my personal information, which I did not have to. I let them know I had to get to the airport at 6am Jan 27 to fly back to California. The only solution was that the storage would be open the next day at 9:30 a.m. I arrived at the facility at 6pm Jan 26, 2020. It was a very reasonable request especially since it was still early in the evening. My account has been up to date since Jan 6. It is Jan 27. This facility definitely needs someone to come in and handle management who dont value customers. Hopefully this gets to Jessica Thomas or Corporate to handle this.

CubeSmart price gouging is unreasonable and unacceptable. A 10’10 $210 another lady was paying $300 for exactly the same unit. There’s no reason why you should have the take up a high rate every year for a storage unit it’s not like you’re living in there companies have to understand That we don’t make enough for the coast of inflation. Also the fact that I should been prorated for 6 days because I left the unit on the 24th which I mentioned this to the clerk. Please don’t go to CubeSmart other companies price match.

I got 2 storage spaces due to availability, one here and one with a different company. This place is like the Hilton, and the other is a motel six. And I pay the same price. Its nuts. This place is so clean, there's a bathroom if you need it, the temperature is the climate control is good, and the place doesn't smell funky. The other place does. I price checked everywhere from douglasville to the perimeter up to mableton. This is the best space for the money. Highly recommended.

Staff was wonderful! I went to check out the units before renting and Quansye was super helpful. Showed me multiple sizes and answered all my questions. Was really knowledgeable and upfront about the process. I was really impressed at the time. Place seemed really clean and secure. Got a deal on the price and was able to rent their truck to move my stuff as well! Ms Ruth was great checking me in on move in day as well. Nice clean and friendly facility. Thats the good. I have a 40 foot camper that needs to be stored. They assured me that they had a spot. They did have a spot but good luck getting it in or out. I even tried one if their pricier 50 foot spots. Here is a little secret folks: no matter how good a driver you are, if your parking spot has no room left or right, you will never get your rig in or out without smashing into the vehicles on either side. That parking spots also have insufficient angles. If you have a very small rig then this is your place. Just hate being told that they can accommodate me only to find out that they cant.

This is a very well-kept facility. The staff there (Ms. Ruth and Mr. Chris) goes above and beyond to make sure that every tent recieves the finest quality of customer service. I have been renting a storage from this facility for over eight years so that alone should speak for it self, but also it is alway keep clean, nice, and neat. I haven't had any problems out of the time that I have been at the storage and I love the fact that they have 24 hour security with the local sheriff officers that patrols the premises at night. If you are looking for a place to store your valuable belonging and feel comforted that they are safe then I would definitely recommend Cube Smart Self Storage in Lithia Springs GA.
