I will say it was easy to book online. I moved in on a weekend while they were closed and everything was ready and set when I arrived ro mu until. But 5 months in they increased my storage fee by $24 with only 30 days notice. Right at Christmas time too. I've rented before and never had a rent increased less than a year of renting. Will be moving out when weather conditions are better and wii not rent with them again. I feel like they give you a good rate to get you in then boom no longer a deal.

This was the absolute worst experience ever. I have never left a bad review but I have also never been locked in a storage facility with my sister while two employees just watched even after the police were called. Management never called back to this day, it's been 9 days. This is a huge safety issue.

I do not care for having to get out to open the lift gate to the loading bay manually once I'm inside the entry gate. Once I pull out of the loading bay I have to get out to manually let the gate down again. In inclement weather this will be a huge inconvenience.

We easily reserved the size storage we wanted online. The manager Michael was very helpful and thorough, making sure we knew everything. We got to see the specific storage unit first to make sure it was truly the size we had in mind, and the paperwork was quick. Facility was neat, clean, and accessible. We didn't need any supplies yet, but those were available for purchase in the office. Our first two dropoff loads went so quickly and easily. We chose a climate controlled unit so I didn’t have to worry about older VHS tapes melting in a hot summer storage unit. Great experience so far!

I moved my things out of CubeSmart and there was rodent urine and excrement everywhere. I ended up having to throw so many things away. CubeSmart didn't care. Their insurance does not cover this kind of damage. They hide rodent damage in the Wear and Tear section of the CubeSmart contract. They won't return phone calls or emails. I would've never put my things in this storage facility if I would've known they cannot control rodents.

Leaking roofs and rodent infestation! We chose CubeSmart because they were marketing themselves as a better storage facility. A few months after our putting everything we own into our storage unit, we noticed some dripping from leaks in the roof and mouse droppings. The manager at Cubesmart assured us they would take care of it and told us we could claim any damage on our insurance through their 3rd party. Lies! When the movers came to empty our unit, EVERYTHING was covered in mouse poop. The leaking from the ceiling and the mice ruined some large pieces of furniture. There were mice in some of our furniture and even nests in plastic storage bins! The insurance that is combined with the Cubesmart contract denied our claim stating rodent damage to this extent as part of their 'wear and tear' clause. The manager at Cubesmart knew about all of this and lied. He will not even give me the contact information for his superiors, just a number to a general automated phone line. We probably won't see any kind of compensation or even apology from Cubesmart but we can warn other people to think twice before moving your things here. They do not care if your things get ruined because of their gross mismanagement and their insurance WILL NOT cover damage done to your items. *UPDATE* the message CubeSmart attached to my review was worthless. I emailed them and they never responded

Like clockwork, they increased my rate about 30 percent at month 3 and gave me less than 30 days notice. We found another location that was 10% cheaper, newer and significantly closer to our home. The staff was nice, but trying to navigate the push door with the hard leg turn down the ramp (without the cart falling down the staircase drop off directly in front of the door was a complete nightmare each time we loaded or unloaded anything.

Easy to reserve on web, personable manager, relatively clean facility, nice lighting makes facility easier to use at night. Bluetooth access to open gate works well from a long distance. The Bluetooth access is really nice now in the summer but should be even nicer to use in the winter or during freezing rain events.

The transaction was fast and easy. But most especially because the man in charge walked me through the process from going to the front of the facility to put my access code in to showing me the elevator, giving pointers to remember how to go to my unit to showing how to properly open and close the door to my storage unit. Then he showed me how to leave the facility and the panel to put my access code to leave. Then m to of that, he gave me a card with all the necessary numbers to access my unit. I like this CubeSmart self storage, I've never had any problems. The staff is extremely nice, the property is very very clean I haven't even seen a spider inside of there. I also can say that the pricing is very very affordable for such a great location and no nonsense approach to my storage needs. I needed to get a larger unit they made it SOOOO super easy to make the switch if I ever need storage after this time I'll definitely only be looking here. A+ team.

I was originally going to rent at the downer grove location but the man there didn't seem like he was in the mood to help. His answers were short and i felt like he was just trying to get me to leave. So i left and started towards the woodridge location but they had a sign up saying that they were away. I couldn't wait so I headed over to the bolingbrook location and I met with michael and he stood up and greeted me with a smile already something i didn't get from the downers grove location. I explained to him how i felt at the downers grove location and he apologized and assured me that i will not receive that level of service at this location. michael has held up his end and this has been a great experience. Thank you michael for all of your hard work and great customer service!!

Made a reservation online. I was contacted shortly afterwards and everything was clearly explained to me. When I got to the site... it was hassle free. Tom, the manager at the facility was informative and to the point. I like that. I was especially impressed when he rattled off some lengthy addendums flawlessly and from memory.

My experience with Cube Smart was great from making the reservation to actually unloading and storing into the unit. It was one of the coldest weekends this winter but being able to pull a truck into the bay was an absolute miracle! Seriously I couldn't be more pleased with Cube Smart and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Have rented a storage unit here for nearly four years. The rates are very reasonable and the service is very professional. We recently terminated our agreement because we don't need the space any longer. Suzy was actually working late on the Sunday afternoon we emptied out the unit, and was very helpful. If you are in need of additional storage, I would recommend this store.
