The freight elevator is ancient. It requires a lot of effort to use, and will smash your arm/fingers if you make a mistake. I also noticed one of the loading bay doors is not functional right now. Given this is a key feature for storage facilities, I would expect a repair person to be brought in immediately. I got the feeling that it will take a while before this is repaired. My first impression is making me wonder if this was the right storage facility for me. I hope view changes over time.

I had been renting a unit from this Cubesmart since approximately 2012 when Kenny was the manager. I had a lower level unit so I needed to use the main freight lift near the 3 over head doors. I didn’t really have a problem until this past March when someone cut off the padlock I had been using and stole some items. Amy was kind enough to bring it to my attention and offered a replacement lock free of charge. Apparently someone piggy backed into the building and stayed after hours. My issue is the upper management offered nothing in terms of compensation for any of my belongings. What was stolen was worth around $300 so not worth filing a police report report over. Additionally, the facility uses very old (analog) surveillance equipment so not able to gather any useful footage. The upper management would not file a police report even though it is their property that was trespassed. I asked if he could maybe take something off a few months of my rent, which he didn’t. I guess he isn’t familiar with the leaky bucket theory and holding onto existing customers. Lastly, their freight elevator is in need of serious repairs. Overall the business has not invested any resources into updating their equipment. I no longer have trust in their ability to protect my valuables and have cancelled my agreement with them after 12 years. Beware of what you store in this facility. Many new businesses (Easy Storage) in the immediate area offer newer buildings with updated security at a considerably lower price.

I reserved a unit this past Saturday 5/4/24. I had to move in on a Sunday when the office wasn’t open. The building and units themselves are awesome, the fact that it’s temp controlled was a dealbreaker and they came through. My biggest gripe is that whoever numbered the units, must be dyslexic or something. They make no sense whatsoever. It took me and my partner 25 mins to find my unit. Can’t even see my unit number on the map they provide. Also, I got my unit during a special, first month free and then 40% off. They say there’s a $29 administrative fee as you’re going through the steps. I thought that was going to be all I had to pay. Once you get to the payment page though, they have you paying a fee or this and a fee for that, a protection plan AND a lock. What I thought was going to be $29, wound up being almost $70. It’s not that I’m mad about the charges, they’re somewhat understandable, however, it’s not made clear in the beginning until you’re on the payment page. I wound up calling when I was there yesterday due to being lost just to see if there was an after hours number for questions. I just called the main number that was in the email sent to me and left a message. This morning at 10am she called back to make sure everything went smoothly and if I had any questions. She also said she agrees that the numbers are confusing. Not really much can change but hopefully y’all could make sure people know what they’re going to have to pay for the first month so they’re not caught completely off guard like I was.

The storage units are fine, but the price hikes are sort of nuts. Anyone looking for a long-term unit should be aware that they will hike your monthly rate every year with minimal notice. Ours went up roughly $30/year, and if you’re not watching your statements it’s easy to miss the change.

We wanted to rent a unit at this location because we saw a lot of business options on the site (we have our own online store). One of the main conditions for us was taking deliveries and being able to have them held by the staff until we could pick them up. But everything they write on the website is not true. We went to the office and were told that was impossible! And that the staff would not take that responsibility. We are very disappointed since everything on the website was perfect for our request!

Had to rent a small storage container last minute. This place is around the corner from me and in a good location all around. Renting a unit was an easy online process. You can easily get lost in this facility as it’s a maze of units. Only bummer is you are forced to buy their insurance ($12-$25) + they sell you their lock for $18. In all I paid $108 initially the. $42 per month for a 5x5 unit. Employee working there, Kolby, was nice and informative

I have been renting a Cube Smart back in 2012. The people who work there are incredible and that is why I stayed as long as I did. Colbly, Kenny, and John would always go out of their way to make sure all of my needs were attended to. As much as I was there, they were like family and always upbeat and positive. The reason for my rating, in spite of the great experience with the staff, is that the facility is old and dark. When I was in a street-level unit, there was a hard rain and the water soaked through the outside wall and into all of the units in the area. I thought I was good because I had the insurance offered required by Cube Smart but was told that they did not cover water damage that did not originate in the building. I moved into another unit shortly after this happened. In addition, the rent has consistently gone up, sometimes two times per year, to the point where I can no longer afford the rent. For the prices being charged, the facility should be state-of-the-art, but it is in really poor condition. Some of the bay doors were not working when I moved out and there always seemed to be something that was not working.

the customer service over the last 2 years i have experienced here has been excellent. really attentive employees that have assisted me with any concerns that i have had. facility is also clean and easy to access, with hand carts readily available when needed. everyone that works here has given me amazing service! i recently worked with Kenny who helped me out on my final move out day after 2 years with these guys. i highly recommend this cubesmart location to anyone looking for a safe storage space with excellent customer service.

I had a cordial and smooth visit to CubeSmart. Colby, who helped my in-law to set my visit up over the internet by supplying detailed info about what to expect, and Jon, who showed me around CubeSmart, helped me pick my unit, purchase my lock, and set up my automatic payment schedule. Jon even gave me bottled tea when I told him needed to take my pills. The storage facility is modern and spotless. They offer packing and locks for storage. I was extended every courtesy by both Jon and Colby, I would highly recommend this facility.

The staff is terrible the place is dirty and extremely cold. Even though they have 2 elevators there was almost always at least 1 that didn't work. The prices are a bit high compared to similar places. After leaving a few mins late they fence in the parking lot so you have to call and then wait on them to open gate. This is the CubeSmart on diversy just past Pulaski. They only have 2 loading docks which were almost always occupied.

The signup process was simple and straightforward with no hard sells. The month-to-month contract is great, no weird first/last month situations like at Public Storage. If you want to cancel, just let them know before your next bill renewal and move everything out. The senior manager at this location (Bill?) was very helpful and showed me around the property and explained how the gates and loading dock worked. Thanks for a great experience.

Terrible service. They just chase numbers. Melisa, Kenny, and Antoinette is super cool, but they dont explain specials (refer a friend is only a percentage of the person's locker referring, and they dont call back unless you are upgrading or buying. My friend has been there for 6 years and attests to same treatment but plays the move around game that one is forced into.) No customer loyalty rewards. Price goes up every 6 months unless you move into a special on internet. Clean facility and cool staff but doesn't compensate for lack of knowledge and price chasing. Very sad. Loved to stored with my team or friend but will look for another facility that can maintain customer relations and fluency.

I had a wonderful experience at CubeSmart's N Western location. My belongings were being delivered by a moving company with which I was incredibly frustrated, but Toni and Josh were extreme not helpful, kind, and flexible and made my experience a lot less stressful than it would have otherwise been. They have excellent customer service and really care about people. I am so grateful for them. I will definitely recommend this location to anyone who asks!

Just rented a 5' X 10' locker at CubeSmart Storage on Western Avenue a little over a week ago. The location is perfect for us and even though I was told the locker I rented was really far from the elevator, it wasn't bad at all. Getting the administrative paper work taken care of, paying for the insurance, admin fee, and $1 for the first month was all done in less than 10 minutes. Then one of the girls on staff that afternoon gave my wife and I a quick tour of the facility...lots of twists and turns, but somehow I didn't get lost once. Employees were quick and friendly and answered any questions we had and made themselves available to make sure we didn't have any questions or get lost while we unloaded the UHaul truck and that my door code worked so I didn't get locked out. The locker I rented is climate and humidity controlled all year which is a big plus for winter or hot summer day pickups or drops offs and to keep our wood furniture from warping and my bowling balls from cracking. It will also be great to store seasonal sports equipment like bowling balls, golf clubs, hunting and fishing equipment (I wouldn't leave any firearms there and I don't know if that is even legal), and for keeping all of our camping/outdoor picnic stuff together and easy to find. The price wasn't bad when all was said and done, and having a locker will give me some peace of mind that my furniture and other items that I need to store somewhere, or items that I can pick up and drop off there after a weekend of use, will really help us to get a lot of things organized and consolidated. We just don't have storage space for everything at our house, and we do plan on moving in the next year so we can slowly consolidate our items that we want to keep into the storage facility over time, throw away what we don't need, and then when we find the perfect place and our situation is settled and it is time to move, most of our items will already be boxed up and ready to load into a truck. The facility was very clean and neat, very silent since there aren't a lot of people there other than the few people at the front desk, and the few people popping in and out to move an item or two. This was a little creepy at first with the motion activated lights that make that slight humming noise going on and off as I walked through the twists and turns of the hallways to and from my locker. I got over it quick enough, I've seen too many horror movies, and I always have a personal protection device if I got into any trouble, but there are cameras everywhere and the people at the counter can monitor who is coming and going at all times. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is that there are only three parking spots you can back into to unload by the elevator, and this area is not indoor and barely covered. If I did have to load and unload a truck in the middle of winter, or a snow or rain storm, I would not be a happy camper. Also there is only one restroom at the front office which can be hard to navigate to from within the maze and I was told some people are shaving and cleaning themselves in there as if it was a truck stop shower area...gross. Means there possibly may be homeless people squatting in their storage units...sad...but also dangerous for them and me, not knowing their mental health or state of mind if I run into one or my neighbor's storage door just starts opening up while I'm moving stuff in. My first thought is going to be for my safety and I don't want to be in any kind of self defense tragedy. With all of the cameras everywhere, I think the staff knows who is in the building and where so I felt safe. Overall, very hassle free move in, very friendly and helpful staff, great location and very reasonably priced. Just a little creepy, if your not used to being a mouse in a maze.

This is my first experience with CubeSmart but it’s been great so far. They made everything very easy during a stressful move from out of town and I’ve had no issues with anything during the time I’ve been renting. When it came time to move my stuff out of storage to a new apartment recently, I decided to still rent a much smaller unit to have some additional seasonal storage. Rather than choose a different company closer to my new place, I chose to keep renting from this CubeSmart location. It’s a slightly longer drive to retrieve things, but it’s been such a positive experience and the team here made it so easy to switch units that I don’t really want to look elsewhere.

Moving is not one of the top ten things I enjoy in life but after reviewing prices, locations and reviews of a few storage places I am please I chose CubeSmart Storage. The manager took the time to show me various storage sizes and locations within the building to help me make the appropriate decision. He also went over established procedures, thus, leaving nothing up to chance. He runs a tight ship, as some would say, which I appreciate. His facility is clean, all lighting worked and doors in excellent condition and a clean and well stocked (bathroom tissue). In closing, his professional attitude and witty humor made the experience worth the cost. First of all let me start off with THANK YOU MALISSA & Kenneth! CubeSmart did a great job when choosing their Associates to represent their company. I was facing a last minute emergency in which I needed immediate occupancy FAST! As soon as I walked in the door (1st thing Monday morning) I was delightfully greeted by both Malissa, and Kenneth. You would have thought it was a Friday with their upbeat personality. Malissa gave me a great tour of the facility that was clean, and updated since CubeSmart purchase of location. Even though I was a previous tenant with previous company, I was very impressed with the updates. I was so impressed & Grateful to Malissa whom went Above & Beyond protocol seeing to it that I received the best price for my limited budget during my emergency. I am absolutely amazed that Malissa had me ready/set/and signed within 30 minutes flat/WOW:-) This includes the convenience of electronic agreement as opposed to the annihilating paperwork agreements, whew! To me this means the world due that I am in customer service myself, and I am all to aware that it is rare to find such great assistance, especially during a last minute emergency. This facility is both clean and safe with 24Hr video surveillance, electronic code access, and added security requiring photo ID when choosing to access storage through office. (I have had my fair share of other companies who allow just anyone to waltz in/through, and do whatever) When it comes to having peace of mind, knowing that your valuables are safe & secure with 24Hr Video Surveillance: This is the place! When it comes to your own safety while accessing your storage 24HRs a day: This is the place! When it comes to easy access with both ramps, and automated garage doors: This is the place! Great location for storage. Staff is super nice and the location is really clean and maintained. I've been at the facility for over a year now and when I started there it was just transitioning to the new CubeSmart management. I've seen many small improvements over the last year even though the location was nice to begin with. I've always felt pretty comfortable at the location in terms of security and there are usually carts available during non-peak times. Some of the docks can get busy at certain times but most of the time it has not been a problem. Pricing has been competative to other locations and they generally do give better pricing for lockers that are more out of the way versus easy dock access but that means that you can select some lockers that are closer to the dock and pay for it if you choose.

The storage space is good and is clean. We have a lock on our unit that we own, but they constantly place their company logo stickers on the lock. We have to remove the stickers which can be annoying simply for the fact they shouldn't be there to begin with. They do like to raise the prices here often and with short notice.

We are one month in on a 5x5x8 unit here. I think with the insurance and everything it's just over $40 a month - we are on the second floor. The gentleman that helped us get everything set up was very nice. He walked us to the unit - showed us how to use the lifts and made some people just hanging out in the loading dock move their truck so we could park there. The unit is supposed to be a 5x5x8 - when he took us to the unit it had a lock on it so he opened one across from it and gave us that one - it's a 4x5x8. When questioned the gentleman was nice about it, but offered saying "I didn't build the place." Yes, correct, but you did charge us for it. People have a tendency to just have locked cars with nothing in them in the spaces for unloading your crap which is super annoying for when you actually want to use your storage space. Seems alright so far.
