My experience with CubeSmart in Countryside was profoundly disappointing. As a first-time renter, I expected clear communication and efficient customer support, but unfortunately, neither was provided. The initial email with directions on how to access the storage unit was vague and lacked essential details. Prior to heading to the facility, I contacted customer service for clarification, but they were unable to provide the necessary information to locate my unit. Upon arrival, I discovered that the map of the facility was equally confusing. Even more concerning, customer service—both on-site and over the phone—seemed completely unable to interpret the map or assist me effectively. This lack of organization and poor customer service created a significant inconvenience. Despite multiple attempts to reach a resolution, including providing evidence of my on-time arrival and the numerous calls I made for assistance, no solutions or compensation were offered. The apparent indifference and lack of accountability demonstrated by CubeSmart's staff were deeply frustrating and unprofessional. This was my first—and will undoubtedly be my last—experience with CubeSmart. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options to avoid the stress and inefficiency I encountered. Customer service and clear communication are basic expectations, and CubeSmart failed to meet them in every respect.

Awesome on site support, good facility. Raised my price from 390 to 480 within 4 months of me being there. Yes price increases happens at all lockers, waiting until weather starts getting colder and then raising the price by 25% is a very bad way to do business and questionably ethical.

I love how clean and well kept-up this place is. Best part is it is temp and humidity controlled. :)?????? I do admit the creeping prices every 2 years will stab you in the wallet eventually. Rented a unit that I thought I needed it. Canceled four days later and was told no refunds. I was never informed this, and I never moved anything in the storage.Worst of all there is no way to contact corporate. Their indoors are dark, and smells like must. Total ripoff. Go somewhere else! Thanks for taking $170!! Edit: The email they put in their replies is not valid. It keeps getting rejected. Some reputable place alright. Don't get a unit here

I had an issue with my reservation. I called ahead of time that day and made a reservation with customer service. I asked the Mgr if he needed the link that was sent to me. He stated he didn't he would be able to look it up. I moved into the unit, everything seemed to be ok. Until I signed into my account and saw the price and a different name. I called and was told that I would have to move to another unit. This was really an inconvenience for me. That day I went to the location to find out what else could be done. Of course nothing but he would give me a week to move. Not cool at all

Went in this morning to pick up a couple moving box kits. Whoever the person was working there just sat in his chair the whole time as I was struggling to carry the boxes, open the door and load my car! He couldn’t even be bothered to ask if I needed help! Edit: They called and refunded me after providing a zero star review. I will update to 3 stars but I can't in good faith go higher for a companies who has policies which require public complaint for reasonable action. The employee that I interacted with was very nice and professional. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had the cube for less than 24 hours. Realized it wasn't going to work, never moved anything in and they charged me $200 for zero use. Complete racket. Don't go here.

I have always been worried about storing my stuff at a storage facility due to rodents or mildew issues and loosing things that are valuable to me. However, thanks to Janie my feelings have gone away. Janie made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in the door and even gave me a tour of the entire facility. I can honestly say that this CUBESMART in Countryside is very very CLEAN!!!! Every time I go there the staff ensure the place is well kept! I might also mention the service is always professional no matter how busy the team is. Very well put together staff! Highly recommend for all Your storage needs!

Great customer service! We were interested in the 5x10 unit and reserved in online. When we went in to fill out the paperwork, Janie showed us a few units to choose from. She answered all of our questions. Five stars for Janie! I’m taking away one star away because when I was ready to pay, I was surprised I had to pay an additional $12/month just for insurance on top of the $81 for the unit. This was not stated online. I paid it, but felt a bit deceived since this was never mentioned when I reserved it online.

Everyone knows that moving can be a mess. I went to 3 different storage facilities and was not impressed. There were issues with the smell of all the competitor facilities. When I walked into CubeSmart I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg first off and secondly, I was frustrated so it was going to take a lot to make me happy. Well, it wasn't so bad after all. Janie helped me and she was refreshing. Very helpful and patient. She was understanding and was ready to help! Janie made the experience an awesome one! If you need to store something, go to CubeSmart and ask for Janie, you will be glad you did!
