What a disgusting management! I just signed a contract with them to store my truck and I left USA for vocation. 3 days after they emailed me that The employee who helped me didnt know state laws and Did a mistake. They want to tow my truck unless I came back from abroad and move out my truck. We have a contract! And I dont care about your employee have experince or no ! I didnt hire him and It was not my fault! They treatining me about towing away my truck in owners expense! I will claim you guys small claims court if you guys did tow my truck. Here is I have proof That it is not my mistake. Do you think that we immigrants are stupid? Do you think that we immigrants just a joke for you! I am feeling some racism here too! I parked the spot that you gave me. I will see you guys in court if something happened to my truck!

Because of Illinois state law it was discovered that I could not store my boat due to it being registered in another state. In the duration of seeking this information the associate named Lee went above and beyond as he searched for another location that would be able to take my boat. He not only found a place within reasonable distance , he also found one that was 2/3 cheaper. This guy's a real lifesaver. Polite and knowledgeable. I never heard of CubeSmart before this experience but will go to them when I need them in the future. This guy needs a raise.

Beyond horrible experience at this location. We store cars at various CubeSmart locations throughout the state. I called on 12/27 and spoke with Lee to let them know I would be there 12/28 to pick up a car. He gave me various times he would be at the store. I arrived at 11am. The store lights were all off but the side door was unlocked. I called the two local stores for help and luckily a gentleman at the Elk Grove location was able to drive over and help us out after waiting for 3 hours to give Lee time to return from his long break and or even showing up to work today. This was a terrible experience and it is not on CubeSmart but the local employee who manages the location. With a heads up the day before this should have never happened.

Horrible experiences! Locked in their yard with no way out for 40 min today. Monthly rate jacked 2 months after move in... absolutely no communication from corporate or management about procedures that have changed to leave the yard as they have been changed from when I first moved in. I had to call the police department because I was being detained illegally. Me and another customer finally figured out there is a hidden keypad between two poles you cannot see and are not notified about. We were beeping our horns and banging on the garage doors and nobody came out to help us.... TONS OF ROACHES!!! I now have to leave my possessions outside till all the roaches leave. DO NOT USE, TONS OF BUGS AND MICE!!!

Shelly and John are GREAT!!! I'm not just saying this to help their reviews. After driving 24 hours I didn't feel up to talking or having a drawn out conversation, but Shelly got on her Harley (golf cart) and made my visit the funniest and the most fun time of my day. The staff is generally friendly. We were told for months (years) that there was a waiting list for a large storage shed when there was no list. We finally got one reserved, they turned us away from signing the lease, then gave it to someone else. Very disappointing

I have been with Cube Smart for over seven years. Cube Smart has been a great company to work with. Any issues are dealt with immediately. I have a front side unit adjacent to Mt. Prospect Road , after I moved in to the unit, I noticed there was no security camera protecting the front side units, so I mentioned this flaw to the staff and the staff put in a request for a camera and within a couple of months we had a nice security camera. I see the staff mainly Shelly and Raz all the time, they are both very kind and professional people to associate with.

This place may be a bit tricky with the high landing to the front gate but me and my family used this storage area for when we were going through rough times. Well rates for the area and plenty secure with operating camera's, the works. Lost a family member who owned a unit here and the service has been beyond five stars to make sure everything is taken care of properly and professionally. If I ever return to Des Plaines, I know where I am taking the things I need to store.

Customer service is 50/50... One lady is really cool, the other one sucks.. Also, had a check mailed to them recently for monthly payment, check was cashed, but they claim they didn't do it. Still owed a month, plus whomever fraudulently cashed my check without posting it towards my monthly rent. Be very vigilant when dealing with this particular location.

I picked the location because the rate was right. Another location was farther out and hard a free moving truck use which would have been great here, but that was only negative. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even letting me use a step ladder to stack my storage bins to the top. Easy directions on how to get in and out, paper work very self explanatory. I feel like my things are safe and I'm avoiding the chaos and cost of downtown city storage.

Can't speak to any of the other CubeSmart locations, however, I must say that the service provided by the management of the CubeSmart in Des Plaines, being Miss Tammy and Miss Pascale, was 2nd to none. Besides the courteous handling with a smile of the routine tasks, additionally, a month after storing my car, I had carelessly lost a package intended for a friend that had spare car keys and my garage space number and the gate pass code, and my subsequent request, as a precaution, to relocate my vehicle to a separate space, changing my locks, and of course changing the pass code -- that request was immediately accommodated without hesitation. Thank you and hope to be doing business again in the future.

I have had 3 units at this location for about 7 months while my house is being built. Positive: The units are decent size for the price. Negative: 1. The front security gate is almost always broken. I went to one of my units by myself one day and was so nervous because there was a van of 2 men sitting there, with no open units the entire 45 min I was there. No idea why they were there, but the reality is there was nothing keeping them out. 2. mice, mice, mice. We found mouse poop in one of our units when it was still warm out. I immediately called and was told they will not do anything unless I am there during normal business hours and I have them come and inspect the evidence. They would not even take a photo I took as evidence. We recently cleared out one unit and upon getting loading the boxes we found a stench. Upon getting the boxes home we found almost all of them had mouse poop in them and stunk of what I am guessing is urine. These were simply boxes of clothes and toys....I am not even sure how to get all of this cleaned. It was nothing short of an infestation. We rented another unit at another company a few years ago - we had it for almost 2 years with a few couches in it and never had a problem. I think there is a major mouse issue at this location and as a result I am going to be out money and time trying to clean my 3 large units of stuff. I just wish companies would be more concerned with their customer's belongings. My kids could not wait to get some of their toys out and now they cannot even play with them. Stuffed animals I don't even know what to do with. Just bad business.

I had arrived 15 minutes before closing, needing a r.v. parking spot. The computer system at that location had crashed. Tammy, the woman who was there, didn't say sorry the system crashed and we're closing. Instead, she got tech support on the phone, and had them help her get the system back up and running, in order to accommodate my needs. Wonderful people, fantastic work ethics, and stellar service. A+ overall. Affordable prices. Safe location. Kept some of my stuff here for a year while i was stationed overseas. Very professional and good customer service. Management really takes care of the place. It is awesome that you can setup autopay online. Ask for military discount.

I've been using Cubesmart storage services a little over a year now and I absolutely love the Customer Service provided at this location. The Store Manager, Patty, is truly amazing. She makes sure your up to date on any changes and is always offers the best price for any units/services/rentals required. Saved money and good location. I have rented from them before and have always loved the care and service I have received. The units are always clean along with all areas around the facility. The do maintenance to upgrade the facility such as paving and doors to the units. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a storage unit.
