This place is great. Very clean. I rented a 5×10×8 unit on the ground floor. It's very spacious and close to a loading zone. The staff is very professional and courteous. Their hours are reasonable and there is code access after hours. There is a decent amount of parking for the location. And it's right across the street from a Thrift Store in the event you want to donate items.

They have a great staff in the office on duty if you have questions or need something like boxes or tape or any questions. The facility is spotless , the bathroom is very well kept as well. I highly recommend people not to use the Master lock they are trying to sell you. They can be picked in 2mns. And locked back. You will never know that someone has visited. Go on line see a demonstration. Buy instead 2 Abus DISKUS 20/70 on Amazon. Read the reviews. Unpickable. I tried to post this information 4 months ago and was told to remove the post or face eviction. Apart from that climate control is ineftive on 2nd and 3nd floor as the thermostat is kept too high and too low. Thie storage business in general is very poorly regulated and this ownership does pretty much what they want, especially when moving to a less expensive unit advertised on line. Local staff are foot soldiers implementing corporate policies going above their heads, rates and down sizing.

Dalia and Roy are extremely helpful, warm and friendly. The contents of my units (2) pertain mostly to the aging snd passing gif my parents, and I have often entered the facility somewhat emotional. They are both very caring and gentle, an atmosphere not to be expected in a place typically cold and stark. I love going there just to see Roy aand Dalia, even if I did not have to deal with my debris and bulk. Dalia even stayed late recently so that I could access the bay, schedule to close 20 min before I arrived.

This was one of the friendliest and cleanest storage facilities I've ever used or visited. The carts were all in good working order and the spaces are new and in good shape. The location is secure, and there is a special loading dock available in the back to pull in a truck, as well as an alternate side entrance, so it was very easy to access in multiple ways. Plus there is ample parking and always enough carts. Loading dock was opened and then locked promptly at business open and close so we always felt secure on the days we were sorting and packing and moving out. Staff went out of their way to check on us when loading and unloading and even offered to make the dumpster available when we moved out. (Good thing it is locked otherwise to ensure there was space available.) They were patient with us when we needed to spread out a bit to sort out our stuff, and when we had one problem with billing and they worked with us to sort it out. Make sure you set up closet moth traps (you can buy at Home Depot down the street) in your unit if you have any fabric items. And be aware that if you get a promotional price, that price will be raised after a certain number of months and then again once a year. If you ask Roy the manager he is happy to explain corporate's practices on rental increases so you can be prepared.

I had a large unit that was mostly empty and I needed to move into a smaller unite. The staff was extremely helpful. They helped me figure out what size was right for me, so I could save the most money. Then they got me a dolly, brought over a cart, and even brought me a bottle of water to stay hydrated while I worked on the move. When I was done, I had a few scraps and broken items left, and the staff allowed me to put a few flat items in their dumpster, saving me a lot of time and trouble hauling around trash in my car. I would highly recommend CubeSmart, especially this location.

Couldn't be run by nicer people. Its a very clean, well run facility by people who are incredibly kind and accommodating. I'll also cosign on the music. Heard some classic Hall & Oates when I came in and that always puts me in a good mood!

Courteous and helpful staff. Roy went out of his way to be helpful. Very clean, well lit and plenty of carts. Keep a unit for a little over a year. Would recommend Cube Smart with no hesitation.

I ran into this store to pick up boxes for my upcoming move and Jeff was extremely helpful. He helped me pick out the right type of boxes and quantity. I will definitely be back for anything else I might need as the customer service was perfect. Yesterday, I came back and opened a storage locker, once again Jeff was a huge help and now I have a safe place for my items. Thank you for all your assistance - everything worked out perfectly.

I needed to transfer from my current unit to a smaller unit. The entire process of changing my account took just a few minutes, and Mr. McLellan was very helpful, making sure that all the original settings like auto-pay etc were still correct.

What a great storage unit. We have had our stuff in there for five years now. Climate controlled. Clean. Plays the worst music over the radio through the whole place so you want to get out of there fast. If you want to store your things indoors in a place that is blasting evanessence over the speakers this is the place for you.

I was in hurry with a last minute move and I went to the Public Storage facility on Green Bay rd. Huge mistake! I was treated to very high pressure sales and lied to repeatedly. I moved out in less than two weeks and came to the Evanston Cube Smart. It was much cleaner, and much more convenient to access once you are on the grounds, The manager Sue was great and the transaction was completed in a fraction of the time with no hassle whatsoever. Highly recommended.

I checked out this location out a few weeks ago and was amazed at the service, cleanliness and friendliness of their employee. I also visited other facilities other than CubeSmart... not impressed by their competitors. Came back today (Sunday) and met with Frank Hamma who did an amazing job checking me in and helping me sort through the paperwork and did a fantastic job explaining the necessary information. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family in the future!

We needed a storage space because of a move and we had a bad experience at Public Storage nearby so we inquired about CubeSmart and the place was great. The staff is really great, super friendly and helpful and the facility is incredibly clean and secure. I highly recommend CubeSmart if you are looking for storage in this area.

Cube Smart on Oakton Avenue in Evanston, IL is the best storage facility by far in the area immediately in Evanston and the near surrounding neighborhoods. The manager, Sue Harms, was helpful, cheerful and very patient with my husband and me as we struggles with finding a storage place that we could like and trust. This is the very cleanest, best maintained, best monitored facility in the area. The move itself was painless due to the professionalism of Jay Movers, whom had been recommended by Sue, and by the easy access to our unit.

Sue, the attendant that signed me up, was supremely helpful and nice! I like the personal touch that they have here. Facilities are climate controlled and clean. THe security features of the storage facilities are nice and modern. I like the fact that the storage is under video surveillance. My only problem was the elevator was broken one day when i was trying to move some stuff into my unit.

I was really absolutely dreading having to get a storage unit! When I found United Storage on Oakton all that changed: Really Friendly Helpful Staff (Bobbie is GREAT!) Clean, well-lit place with Great Music and an outstanding location! I cannot tell you what a difference this has made, making a horrible job into a very pleasant experience... Well done United Storage!
