This place was really nice when we first moved into years ago. Since we moved in two years ago they have raised our monthly rate over $100 in two years. What we were paying $285 for you can get online for $114 now. The roof leaks under their units and it’s poorly managed.

The Manager At Lake Zurich is an excellent manager for Cubesmart The building is always clean Cubesmart has several sizes of storage units. The only negative side is the prices increase in rate very quickly. I think a customer who is loyal, has been with Cubesmart for at least a year should be able to get a discount for using Cubesmart for storage

Served its purpose. Now no longer need the storage unit.. Rating consideration: 10 for the people working here and whom I communicated on phone with. They were friendly and great to work with. They were professional. Etc etc. However... 3 for the rules being un-friendly to its customers. I.e. the very short time frame over other storage facilities for when they will lock and trash your property in their bailey exposure care... Shame. Also the lack of prorating month/days unused for refund... Again their rules add up to appear to be greedy and unfriendly to its customers. Summary, people were great, but the corporate "rules" were greedy and nearly unreasonable

*** updated review since it has been taking over by cube smart. Since it was taken over by cube smart in the past year my bill has gone from 66 to 104 with a price increase every 5 to 6 months. This is supposed to be climate controlled but the heat was broken during the winter for a few weeks and we were never informed! *(when this was life storage) Cassia & Raquel are super helpful. We signed up for a unit and got it no problems. Very clean and bright!

By far the best storage facility I’ve ever been to. It’s great that I can drive my car inside to load/unload, which is very much a plus especially when it’s raining or snowing. Cassia then store manager makes sure that the entire facility is clean, she is very professional and approachable. I would definitely recommend this place.

I rented a storage unit at Life Storage (Lake Zurich location) in September 2019. When renting the storage unit I was told that a truck was available to customers who have storage units at no charge for the first 20 miles and that is a mileage charge for anything over 20 miles. I thought that was pretty nice for them to offer a truck for customers to use. Well, now (in January) I went to take them up on their offer and I was now told it would be $20 to “rent” the truck. I was reluctantly alright with that so I went ahead and reserved it. I then went to pick it up and I was now told it was $29.95 plus $19.95 for an insurance waiver. Since I was there I again reluctantly went ahead with the rental. When returning the truck I was now told there would be a mileage fee of .89/mile!! Now I am angry. I have been totally misled by their scam. I drove the truck exactly 20 miles so my original offer should have not cost me a penny and I end up getting ripped off for $67.70! I complained to the person working the front desk and asked to talk to the manager. I was told that the manager would not talk with me. I would be very leery about doing business with this company. There are plenty of other storage companies to do business with that I am sure are much more ethical. This place is totally misleading. I don’t like complaining about companies because everyone has a bad day but this was a case where I was misled one time after another. Do yourself a favor and find someone else if you are thinking of doing business with them.

She even suggested I take the units with skylight which I absolutely love! Makes it easy for me to get around inside the unit when I’m arranging my items for sale. The people that have units here are very nice which make me feel I’m in a really nice warehouse place. I’m very happy with my experience renting a storage space at Life Storage that I actually decided to rent a second unit just a few days ago (the first one was a few months ago)! The location is very convenient, I love the fact that you can actually drive-in so when it’s raining or thunderstorming you (and your stuff) won’t get wet. The place is very clean, they have sufficient lighting and push carts available. It’s also very reasonably priced. Cassia the store manager is very friendly and very professional. If I have questions she is always easy to reach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a storage unit!

Why do they have so many 5-star reviews? Because they, amazing to me, ask you to leave a *5 star review on your initial visit* and then try to watch you do it. Staring off, the clerk insisted on giving an hour's worth of excruciating and unnecessary detail when beginning my lease. On move-in day, the access door didn't work while we were paying several hundred dollars an hour for the movers. After 45 minutes+ on the phone with "corporate," someone local finally arrived to open it. It was in the upper 90ºs on move-in day and inside the "climate controlled" storage area, it was easily 20º warmer. On move-out day, I needed to access the office from the storage area (again, with movers on the clock) but the clerk had forgotten to unlock the door. One call to "corporate" later, the door was opened. The manager (Jim?), while no doubt well-intentioned, does not seem to know how to give a simple "yes" or "no." The cliche of telling you how to build a clock when you ask what time it is applies. The facility itself is clean, well-lit, and, access doors aside, well maintained. In my opinion, all other aspects were found wanting.

I dropped in because I was curious about the new facility just to check things out. Cassia happened to be the one working that day and was both extremely helpful and friendly. She was able to give me a tour of the facility and explain the differences between the different units in a way that was very easy to understand. She also has a great feel for the facility and which parts you need extra dust shields for and which parts never really have any issues. The prices were very reasonable and she told me that they were even price matching the Cube Smart down the street if they happened to have a comparable unit for a lower price. The facility is clean and organized and even has a drive through loading bay so you don't have to load and unload in the rain or snow or other inclement weather. That combined with the pricing and helpfulness of employees makes me not hesitate to use this facility for any self storage needs I might have.

Good rates, clean,staff friendly and knowledgeable. Security and access great! Security locks for units way better than extra storage space in Wauconda and our rate there went up over $30 in 8 months

Stopped in for a few boxes but the manager, Heather, was so friendly, she talked me into taking a tour of the facility. Really nice place. They have a huge drive-in garage making it easy for loading and unloading. I dont need storage at the moment, but when i do i know exactly where im going!

Convenient location, right off Main St. The young lady that works there was very friendly and knowledgeable. Plus a free use of their moving van when you rent a storage locker.

Came to this life storage and the customer service was FANTASTIC! Heather, the office associate assisted me with getting set up.
