The easiest self storage facility. I didn’t even have to go into the office. I did it all online and I was able to enter the facility within minutes. Also, the security system is a big +24 hour surveillance there’s no way anyone can burglarize your unit and not be caught

Mice are everywhere and they don’t care at all, we needed to empty everything in the garbage, all what they were asking was is the storage empty or they will charge us ???? Do not put your staff here unless you want it to be eaten and pooped by mice!

The best thing about this facility is Mike who works in the office. Otherwise, it has been a horrible experience. I have had rain come into my unit, rodent droppings all over and debris falling from the ceiling. You're forced to buy their insurance but the insurance won't cover anything. The manager there is very unpleasant and now they want to raise my rent $28. They once told me I could move my stuff to a different Locker but they won't help me move it so I would have to pay a company to come move my things to a different unit in the same facility when I already had to pay a company to move my things there to begin with. I am very disappointed with my experience there and except for occasional help from Mike in the office, there are no accommodations for anything that goes wrong.

Expect MANY rate increases often. Payment keeps going up but services never change. Management is non responsive. Even region manager doesn’t get back to you. During winter the snow service just goes down the middle of the property and pushes snow up against your doors so you can’t get in. I am disabled at the moment and I was told tough, there is a shovel dig it out yourself. They also don’t understand the cook county parking tax that is for motor vehicles. I get charged the tax every month even though I don’t park a motor vehicle. I have multiple units here and don’t always get a warm and fuzzy feeling here about being secure. They get your money each month, that’s all they care about. The rest is up to you.

I have rented enough storage spaces in my life for my motorcycle that I know all the right questions to ask. Unfortunately I was completely lied to by PUBLIC STORAGE who is a direct competitor of CUBESMART. I made sure to ask for the price not just for the first month but every subsequent month so I knew what I was in for. The guy completely lied to me at PUBLIC STORAGE. He neglected to mention there was a $12 per month rental tax that he had to charge me once I got the first bill. This was totally bait and switch. For the exact 5 x 10 space at CubeSmart it was literally $32 less a month than PUBLIC STOAGE. So would you rather pay $32 a month less for the same space? I think you know the answer.

I was racially profiled by the manager and then got same response from district manager when I voiced my complaint. I Know when it happens as it's happened my whole life being of color. However when I tried to complain I got the good ol boy response. I happily took my money to safeguard who it turns out have better prices and a lot better customer service.

Signing up for a unit online was easy, the office staff was very helpful the day I checked in, the location had appropriate locks to sell to me, the unit was in very good condition, the area felt very safe and secure, and I was able to access my unit at any time night or day easily. Even at the end, when I cleaned out my unit as part of an apartment move, I didn't have to follow-up with CubeSmart later to end my use of their service -- instead, they called me the day after I cleaned out the unit and took care of process for me! CubeSmart was wonderful every step of the way!

I like that I was able to choose the unit to my liking of those that were available. I also like that there are security cameras throughout the location. The fact there there is a median on Algonquin Rd.in front of the entrance makes getting in and out of this location easy. Kudos to Pascale for making this a smooth transition and for being very accommodating.
