I wish I could leave 0 stars seriously. They make you pay for insurance on your storage but when something goes wrong it’s not covered I have about 4k or more worth of damage property from water to mildew that I was just told I will not be covered for. I am so upset and feel that is unfair what are we paying for it for. I have fairly new products that’s damage and they can only tell me they apologize. lol is this a joke seriously. I have more pictures I just rather not even post I’m so upset.

If they did a much better job at communicating their prices and stayed actually competitive within our Market it would work but they're all about making money they're not about having people have somewhere that's affordable for them to rent and also there's no communication whatsoever. They let you know what the last minute that your rate is increase 20 to $30 when you come in to pay

Yesterday I rented my second unit. Upon inspection, no pull down rope. I went back to the office to report this. “ I’ll take care of it right now” I was told. Today still no rope on 1338 D . I went back to office again; nobody there. I left.

Beware of this facility before you rent from them. The storage unit that I rented was nothing what I expected. It was poorly lit (primarily dark), small hallway and it was not climate controlled, as advertised. The people were terrific but the space was not well suited for moving furniture in and out of. Moreover, the price/month was 25% more expensive than the Uhaul down the street which is 100 times better in terms of cleanliness, access, and light. Lastly, and I was disappointed by this, when I explained that the facility would not meet my needs, they declined to refund me my first month's rental. Go check out the available space before you rent from them!

My first unit has a door that won't stay up. I have to try and prop it open to go in or out. Makes it hard to work in there. The day I moved in a gentleman used a clamp so it would stay up, but I have to prop it with something I have stored. I wasn't told about having to provide renters insurance when I called about renting. I have it and could have provided the form. I was told about it when I actually showed up with a load. I was charged an extra fee that month for their coverage. I guess I missed the part about the access hours. I've had a lot going on with packing and storing and drove up with a load at 4 AM one morning. That's on me. I just wish you had 24/7 access. Apparently I overlooked the hours......again, not your fault, but it would be nice to have a bigger window when it's accessible. Specially in the heat of the summer. My review isn't meant to be sour grapes and shouldn't be taken as nasty or angry..... that's not my intention. The people here are nice and the prices are right. I would still recommend it to someone. The issues are little things, but valid to bring up.

The only negative is the inability to take partial payments towards future billings, For example If I owe $85 a month and I pay a $100 hoping the additional $15 will be applied to next months billing, currently your system is unable to do that.

I reserved and paid for the unit online because there was one unit left. Online it says I can change the reservation date by calling in. I called, no one answered, I left a message, no one called me back. I called the office and was told that the date could not be changed because I paid online. Needless to say, I won’t be using this unit beyond the 30 days I have paid for.

Pros: Customer service and in person desk clerk were very nice. UNIT price *prior* to additional fees was very reasonable after discount. Able to get unit quickly (I booked same day). Gated facility with personalized code for entry and exit even though it's not 24/7 access. Cons: Unit is very expensive to me for the size unless you are recieving a discount. You are forced to get their insurance vs being able to provide your own. Smaller units are not weather controlled. You do not have 24 hr access to your unit. Employees do not make it clear that "no access after 10pm" not only means you cant ACCESS the facility through their gate, it ALSO means if you are inside their facility after 10 pm YOU ARE LOCKED INSIDE AND CANNOT EXIT!!!!!! I've never heard of trapping someone IN. I was told no access after 10 which, whatever fine, I'll make that work but I had no clue when I brought in my last load at 9:40 that I was about to be trapped inside. I tried to exit at 10:05pm and after entering my code several times I realized the keypad said "no late exit". I called the cubesmart number to see if they had an emergency after hours operator who could wirelessly enter a code to let me out or something and nope, no after hours option. I then called the non emergency police line for them to come and let me out and was told they have to do this regularly because people arent told the "no access" rules also means "no exit". First and hopefully last experience dealing with a place that locks you IN as well as out after a certain time.

Staff is EXTREMELY helpful & VERY knowledgeable about what they do! I had made a frantic special trip out to CubeSmart after work tonight to make sure that I could speak to someone about my gate code. I've only had my Cube for a few months, but I'm preparing to move in a few months, so I'm organizing my belongings. Unfortunately, I'd not been able to get into the front gate using my code. I spoke to a very patient employee, and he was able to VERY quickly help me with my issue. I HIGHLY recommend CubeSmart for their unbeaten customer service!!!

This location has a policy that you can only reserve 8 days in advance. Was looking for a place to store my sons college things but would have to wait until only 8 days in advance to confirm if they had a unit. Would not take a deposit or anything on the phone / web - only in person. This does not work if you are out of town and child does not have a way to get there. Too bad their inflexibility lost them my business. I will pay more to make sure I have a spot confirmed before I drive all the way to Peoria

I was supposed to receive a 10% discount on my rent, and after verbally confirming with them multiple times that I was receiving the discount, the bill ended up showing the full amount. They had never added the discount as they claimed they had. I was also not told that for the first month, the amount due would be double what it normally should be because of administrative fees and insurance. Had they told us the first time we were there that we needed to show proof of renter's insurance, we would have brought it and avoided a $10/month fee. There is also a fee to pay the bill online. This is just another way for them to squeeze every dollar out of their renters. I will be taking my storage items elsewhere.

Everything as you would expect. Nothing to be overwhelmed about, rent a space and pay the price, pretty much like any other storage place. There is a one time "administrative fee" of $24 that you aren't told about until you are signing up. There are "specials" but the person writing me up was not on the same page as the person who quoted me a price and showed me the space. There were multiple specials so the person writing me up had to ask the other which one he told me about. This whole process was kind of cheesy.

April (the manager) was courteous and helpful. She explained the process and showed me the opening that was available for my trailer. The driveways are extra wide for manuvering a trailer. The Storage Facility is located on a secure dead-end street. I recommend this facility which is located just off of Route 6 and N Allen Rd.

Looking for a storage facility to store my bike during the winter months. I chose this site mainly for the proximity to where I live. The site is clean with clean rest rooms adjacent to the office that you gain access from the outside which is convenient. The Site Manager who's name is Jenny I felt was informative,. The whole process was professionally done by her. Another plus is the location, right at the Allen Rd / Hwy 6 Interchange close to Walmart and Menards. .
