They hide your bill from you so that you get a late fee My bill was 2 weeks late when it was ready and it had a late fee. They trick you into a low monthly bill and then hike your prices up. I would not suggest to put your stuff here.

Awesome guy,nice, polite, he is on top of it. Knows his stuff, no waiting, no helping HIM with computer, shows YOU exactly where unit is, you do not need to help him. He knows, knows units, knows computer, knows which locks. I spent maybe 10 min, and left knowing everything I needed to, key to unit, and smile on my face. Can't get no better, thank you for knowing your job. A++ this is for cube smart on American rd. Thanks for hiring a great guy!

The 5 star review goes to the facility and Flavio. I had thought about giving it a 3 star but that is not fair being my issue was with Fred. He was rude and seemed like I was interrupting his time when I walked through the door. He screwed up my paperwork and my unit and also kept my card on file after being told not to. Once I realized what had happened I spoke with Flavio about what his manager did, I was extremely upset, i apologized about my language, he kept his cool and was completely professional. He fixed the issue immediately and assured me that I would never have that issue with another employee there. To this day, i only deal with Flavio. I recommend American road cubesmart and dealing with Flavio.

I utilized one location on North Main in Rockford IL and my experience was HORRIBLE! My unit, along with others, has been broken into at least twice! We were promised after the first time they would fix all the issues, but did nothing! The only reason I'm giving more than 1 star is because the new location I switched to has been awesome! Secure, very helpful and it was a smooth transition.

I had a unit here and within moving out I was told I was saw on camera moving a bed and cabinet to the garbage. I NEVER had a cabinet in my unit. Also my beds are at my home. The manager argued with me. And said she was going to check the cameras again. It was there before I was even there. Then she began to tell me the the spring in the track is broke. She said it will take 3 weeks to get someone out to fix, so they can verify that I moved out and cleaned it. DONT GO HERE!!! Minus four stars!! Update: after I spoke with the manager she said that it would be 3 weeks until they can get someone out there to open the door. Then the next day I get a email saying the confirmed my move out. So the manager was trying to get to pay another months rent for NOTHING!! Is she doing this to everyone? And is she pocketing this money?? Everything about this is very fishy!!

Christina at the Rockford location off Alpine Rd helped us so much! We traveled 75 miles with a rented van to our unit only to realize we had forgotten the key to the lock! Christina couldn't leave her post to cut it open for us (she was the sole person working that day) but she did not rest until she found someone who could help us and got us into our unit within an hour. Please Check reviews As Christins Leviskas review states her words are very true the management doesn't know the meaning of quality customer service! The General Manager Mellissa Is very unprofessional very unpleasant , I've had my unit since October of 2021 and had problem with the Manager repeatedly calling my phone for payment (which if i choose to make a late payment this is my business as this is my storage unit). And also was told by her that she would not stop call me until I gave her an exact date of when I would be making my payment (which then i told her she would be locking the number because i don't have to do any such thing). And now im having issue with my rent being unexpectedly increase for no reason which goes against my leasing contract and is a violation so if its not corrected I will be forced to pursue legal advice. So yes for the reviewers you would be better off not dealing with the drama Cubsmart has to offer I usually deal with U-Haul storage and have never had not one of the issues I've mentioned which is why I will be relocating my things immediately.

Dash at the front desk is so down to earth. I am amazed how easy it was to arrange my storage without leaving my apartment. I searched for "storage" on google maps, there was a CubeSmart nearby, I clicked "website" found special pricing for online orders; the online pricing is cheap, so I clicked through signing the contract and in a few minutes I had my storage. I opted for month to month so I am not tied to this particular location, and I can also opt to move stuff to one of their climate controlled areas if I want to do that later. I downloaded the CubeSmart app to manage the particulars of my account. My email asking about a move-in detail was answered right away. I also had a brief phone conversation and can vouch for the professionalism at their office. Move in was seamless. If I have to make use of storage in the future I will look for CubeSmart first.

In the middle of a pandemic, Cubesmart raises rent by 15%. Did your expenses go up 15%? Inflation is a lot less than that. I dont understand the logic (Unless you're just trying to show a profit for your investors or get a nice bonus). Great until you lose your customers. Understand this... Many people who want to work can't work right now because of a pandemic. Getting greedy right now will just force people elsewhere. I called the local office to voice my concern. All they have to say is that they will put a lien on my property in the storage unit if I wouldn't pay the increase. Opportunistic thieves! Very impersonal business who could care less about their customers. Use another storage company.

I rented a unit on 11/15. Hour after I had two trucks of stuff to store. I arrive at the unit and there is still stuff in it from the previous person. Go to the front desk to find the manager stepped out and will be back shortly. This was around 1pm. I ended up waiting just over a hour until the manager showed up. I also didn’t have a lock in the unit like it said I would when I booked the unit. While waiting one hour I called customer service 4 times. Each time I talked to customer service they said they could not reach the manager and left a voicemail. Now I’m speaking with the manager in the office I look at the security camera tv and none of the cameras are working. I ask the manager if the outside security cameras work and they said no it has been an ongoing issue. When I arrived the security gate was open too. I asked about that and they said someone ran into it and it is waiting to be fixed. So seeing all that I canceled my reservation because the only thing protecting my personal belongings in the unit at this facility would be a pad lock. It would be a better piece of mind if all that worked! When leaving the office I glanced at a couple security cameras and the two wires going to the camera had put cut! **Update when the “owner” responses to your review with the email to contact with issues the don’t respond!

My husband and I decided to store there because we received a massive storage unit for an excellent price. We have had our belongings in there for almost a year with no complaints until it was time to move. When we went to get ALL OF OUR PERSONAL ITEMS they were ALL FULL OF MOLD. Even items packed away in boxes had remnants of it! Looking at the wall of the unit, it clearly had water damage and was also full of mold. EVERY SINGLE ITEM had to be disinfected and most thrown away, including but not limited to, baby items (I am expecting) like lightly used (expensive) rocker, kitchen table, entertainment center, clothes and new rugs. When we called them to complain, they did NOTHING. Not willing to help in any way. Granted, I know it is corporate and the managers hands are tied on certain aspects but we did not receive any sort of apology or even have them offer any sort of help or compensation. My husband said the lady he spoke with was very rude and "matter of fact" and definitely had a "too bad" mentality. I now have to replace all of these items which is annoying considering I would have just gotten rid of all of it and not paid for a year of storage if I planned on replacing. I am understanding to a point but at this rate, I would have been better off selling all of my items or storing them outside in a tent.

Although the Location I actually had my things stored at was the N Main Location. I had to come to this location to get the moving truck they offer for their customers.... Despite the crappy level of customer service at the N Main facility from Phyllis and Shane. Justin was PHENOMENAL!! He made my issue his issue and really tried to make a horrible situation into a good one. He offered feasible solutions to the hectic problem the other facility created... JUSTIN ROCKS!!!

Customers service was excellent but when reserving on line the amount you expect to pay at check out is false.they don't tell you about the 10$ mandatory insurance fee. The first month is NOT FREE! FALSE ADVERTISING! I did however rent because I believed what there website said and it was last minute. I will however have someone to retrieve my stuff next month. TELL THE TRUTH!! BUYER BEWARE

The facility was really nice! The halls were easy to navigate, very clean, and well lit! We were shown where our unit was and given all the information we needed. Our unit was tidy and good sized. Move in was a snap! :)
