There is no management on site at the Warrenville location. I rented my unit over the phone and was assured I could move in that night: I showed up with a packed load and found a bank of snow and ice blocking the unit. It was impossible to access. I called the store the following morning and was reassigned to another spot. I returned that night to again find an inaccessible unit blocked by a snow drift and ice. I then canceled my rental, and was assured my money would be refunded. A month later, I got a bill emailed. Not only had they not refunded my money, but they didn’t even cancel the rental. When I called, I was assured that they had to mail me a paper check with the refund and that they would cancel the reservation now. I’ll believe it when I see it. Will NOT recommend.

My review keeps getting removed. We’ve been renting a storage unit at the Warrenville location for about a year now. The last 7 months the gate has not worked. We called about it and were told it happens all the time and they had an order in to have it replaced. We never did see it closed again. Yesterday, our storage unit was broken into and items missing. A kind customer tried reaching someone and eventually called the police. Who came out and had to call Naperville location, to be transferred to the Aurora location to have someone come out over an hour later. When we were finally informed, nothing had been done to secure unit and they had no idea what DAY someone could come to repair it. The guy behind the desk would only show the view of one camera, which doesn’t have the best picture and at night you can see absolutely nothing except the flood light shining into it. I had to request a new unit, it wasn’t offered to me. I was told the lock was ok, it wasn’t and I had to again ask for a new one. After moving units we noticed many cameras at all the gates. We asked if they saw anyone on those cameras and they stated they never looked at any of the other ones and didn’t know. We were not given the correct number for corporate and then they refused to give us the correct one. We can’t get ahold of anyone. Overall this entire experience has been very rdisheartening and disappointing

A very good friend of mine had some atv’s stored in his storage locker. He went there pulled them out and started a few to put them for sale and magically they were stolen that night right from his locker. No where in the pics did it show any garage numbers or anything so its weird how they magically knew what garage to break in to and stole 2 out of the 3 that were in there. And to top it all of when police went to pull camera footage there was magically a set of floodlights pointed at the camera to blind it. Huh seems fishy. Almost like guy at counter told his friends what locker it was. Will not return any calls or are willing to help out with this situation either. Don’t go here. Better off storing belongings in an abandoned garage somewhere.

Families all shapes and sizes welcome, free of charge come out to the local Carnival (Warrenville CubeSmart) for a free clown show. Place is ran by crooks. The other night we had 2 quads stolen out of our unit. All of a sudden the fog lights are shining directly into the cameras? All of a sudden management forgot how to answer telephones? If you are spending money here you are making one of the most uneducated choices of your life. Wipe Warrenville CubeSmart off the map. Unbelievable.

My friends storage unit was broken into and it's not a simple lock being broken it was pried open from the bottom and everything was taken and no one at this facility will answer the phone or give him any information in regards to the break-in and there are cameras EVERYWHERE its something real real shady about this place and its staff of employees and I recommend that no one patronizes this business

Had a bad experience here. After my property was stolen out of my LOCKED storage unit, they were not cooperative in assisting me with getting my items back. They stopped returning my phone calls as well. Horribly unprofessional service and horrible place to store your things. Steer clear.

If I could give it negative stars I would. Where do I Begin…. First they don’t get back to you second they don’t care about you… all there “cameras” can’t see anything because of the “light” “ security gate” were you used to have to put a pin in to get is now just open and they don’t care and if someone breaks in to your stuff you better have your own camera because they don’t give a careand will not pick up your call or be there I would never recommend this place to anyone that is trying to store anything because there is absolutely no peace of mind of having a storage locker here. You have better luck renting a shed in your own backyard because this place and the managers don’t care what happens.

I would 100% absolutely never recommend this place to anybody, they only want your money and do not care about keeping your belongings secure, there are so many other storage facilities nearby that will take the effort as a REPUTABLE business to help out paying customers. Everything was as expected. Instructions were very clear and the unit was cleaned and ready for us. The main gate was wide open from the time we came, until we left so that felt a bit unsafe. Especially since this was our first time and we were planning on using the storage for our business. Also - I wasn’t aware that $12 monthly fees for insurance is mandatory - I already have another insurance for my business so not sure why I am paying for this separately? Other than that, the place is easy to find, staff is very helpful and friendly. Storage units are nice. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no insight help - I was told that the Aurora location handles admin for the Warrenville location. And they start to shut down around 5:30 (6pm closing time…). So just keep that in mind.

Never received a call or notice that my payment hadn't gone through. When I finally noticed myself, I paid it and expected the lock on my unit to be removed as the office was supposed to be open. Couldn't get ahold of them. Come to find out the hours they updated literally 3 weeks ago were wrong. Contacted an agent who gave me a number to call to get the lock removed and the representative refused. So now, I'm 10 days from moving, had borrowed a truck on my one day off to transport things to the unit, and I can't access it. Extremely frustrated and now looking elsewhere for storage options.

We needed short term storage and found CubeSmart to be reasonably priced; they provided month-to-month options; and were responsive to our inquiries. Their staff were polite, efficient, and met our needs all for a reasonable price. The space was as described but the hidden fees (administration fee, lock fee (that I couldn't delete from cart), etc.) that surpassed my 1 month rate. My only other grip was the spider webs/spiders in the corner of the unit and the light was missing but the small 5x10 unit could be well lit with natural light from the sun during the day. I just can't visit after sundown.

This was my first time storing at cube smart, and it has been a great experience so far. Shar helped me, and she was very nice and knowledgeable, making me feel at ease and confident that I was getting quality service by evaluating my needs and answered all of my questions. I would recommend for the great customer service alone! I also like the security feature of having a locked passcode gate, in addition to the individually locked unit.

Been renting storage many years, but this is my first time storing with Cubesmart. I started renting a few months back, but hadn’t been to the locker since I move in. Stopped by the office today to ask for help getting in the gate and not only did Shar greet me at the door and offer me a water, but she also knew exactly who I was by name. Just off of our first encounter months ago. I was blown away and jokingly told her I was gonna have to find another storage because it was creepy that she remembered me. She looks at me and goes, “Well sir, that’s always an option. There are many other competitors around. Just remember, you don’t get this type of quality service just anywhere now!” And she is definitely right! If you’re looking for storage and great service, look no further...

It's a storage place, not much more to say. The roads in this place are narrow and slopes in the middle. It's also hard to maneuver around other people's cars and good luck getting a big moving truck in there let alone a trailer.

Mike was amazing. He showed me the facility and took us on a tour on the golf cart. In the office we set up the monthly withdraw from my account so I would not have to do it later. When I arrived, he helped me unload my car and made sure the codes worked. Well illuminated and a safe place to store anything and everything!

Needed to store my boat on short notice. Was able to get in the same day on a Saturday. Prices were fair and service was outstanding. After speaking with Michael and getting the storage space squared away, I felt much better about leaving my boat at the storage space. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for storage.
