The rental process over the website & talking to a representative on the phone was easy. Completing the paperwork via email and links was simple. BEFORE you sign though, check woth your homeowners insurance to see if specifically yiur contents stored offsite at CubeSmart Storage ( and give the address) is covered. If so get a certificate of insurance and present it at the signing. They otherwise charge a monthly fee for insurance and depending on what you're storing the limit could be inadequate. And yes, I am a insurance professional.

Wish I could give negative stars. This is the most unprofessional company I've delt with in my life. No one that works here has any clue what's going on or how to operate a business. None of their employees communicate with eachother or leave any kind of notes. I've spent hundreds of unnecessary dollars extra because they are clueless here and just charge for no reason. I will be clearing out my unit this weekend. I'd suggest storing your valuables in a Dumpster before this place.

I reserved my cube. I went over on the date I reserved it for and they had canceled my reservation. They said they texted to confirm. I listed my home number, so that does not receive texts. The new rate was higher. Cubes are nice and clean, but pissed I will be paying a higher rate as long as I keep my things there.

Some of the clothing in my unit became mildewed or moldy. I think this is because water leaked into it, possibly from the roof. I had placed too large Damp Rid containers in the unit to lower humidity.

I really appreciated working with Lola. She walked me around showing some available units, talked to me without a sales pitch, helped me get a good price and was friendly during the paperwork. But what really impressed me was that she while she was the only one on duty, she ignored the phone while dealing with me. I am sorry for the person who tried to call but they can call back. I wasn’t sure from where to get a storage unit. I had just moved from the East Coast. I am so happy that I chose this CubeSmart location. Rob (manager) and Lola (general manager) were respectful and accommodating. After initially getting an online discount I was reserved a unit. Considering my situation, Lola helped to make sure that my reserved unit was changed to another location in the complex to meet my needs. As with any move, not everything went exactly as planned. Lola didn’t anticipate my moves. She asked specifically what she and Rob could do to help me. She didn’t hesitate to make sure that my needs were met as the fluid situation changed. I’m not only pleased that I chose CubeSmart, but this location on North Ave. Rob and Lola were A+ professionals. I would highly recommend their services.

Manager was pushy when trying to have me sign for a unit after viewing it. It was DISGUSTING. The insides smelled musty and there were noticeable dents and gouges in the wall. And unless you had a specific circle lock, you HAD to buy theirs. “Company policy”. Yeah, no. Screw that! I have a library full of books and other sensitive documents/ items that needed a safe place from moisture and break-ins, which the manager willingly admitted! If you have anything you want to be protected, go to the U Store it on Schmale in Wheaton. They provide you with the lock and keys to use, AND it was cheaper.

I rented here four years ago and it was completely different. How about saying hello to the customer before burying the customer with terms and conditions. I will not rent here again.

I've only been using Cubesmart for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. This location is very neat and clean and seems quite secure. My initial rental visit was very easy and very painless. After initially reserving the unit online, my actual rental visit was less than 10 min start to finish and I had everything I needed to get into my unit. Although their stand hours of 6am to 10pm are mostly sufficient, the only thing I'd like to see changed is longer hours, especially on the "PM" side extended. Even 2 hours until midnight would be extremely helpful. Overall, I'm very happy with this storage facility.
