There is always something broken. A door, an elevator. A safety arm - always something that doesn’t work. It takes months for anything to get fixed too. But that only matters if you can even access the building because at all hours there’s always big a** moving trucks taking up all the space with zero care - they’ll even park you in and make you wait. Every weekend I go I have to make 3-4 attempts to even access the garage area because it’s packed. I’ve tried at 7/8am 12pm 5pm even 8pm and there’s constantly other people here. I dread coming to this place for what should be a quick visit. Not to mention they will raise the rent every 6 months like clockwork without any improvements or upgrades or anything. I’m 1 more bad trip from immediately cancelling and moving my stuff elsewhere. The headache of this place isn’t worth the good location.

This storage facility is amazingly clean. Felt very comfortable leaving our furniture, photos, etc here as we were between homes for a year (much longer than we expected). This is truly a heat/cool climate control and most definitely was worth the extra money. Being able to pull into the facility to unload was also a major attraction that other facilities did not have. The office staff (Brian) was always helpful and friendly. We used another location for a short term auto storage as this location was at capacity. Similar experience there. Wish there were more CubeSmart facilities across the country. We looked at a competitor's location before selecting this CubeSmart Wheaton location and it was dirty, hot, smelled of mildew and had a very sketchy feel to it. Climate control at other locations means an entirely different thing.

Pros: Staff was super friendly. Units are inside and temperature controlled with garage(bay) that has keypad access to drive on. Plenty of carts for people to use. Cons: Was there for 2.5 years and rent went up by approx. 40% by the end (Steadily in monthly increments). The bay is kinda small can really only fit 4-5 normal sized cars with people parking to make room (if a U-Haul shows up lucky to fit three, can get blocked in).

The staff at Cubesmart in Wheaton, IL (Marcy and Brian) are helpful and willing to go the extra mile to keep customers happy. From the time I requested a storage locker --and they were able to find one for me near the elevator-- until the time I moved out of my storage locker, I have nothing but good things to say about the staff there and how they handle customer needs and requests. Due to some circumstances with bad weather, not to mention some complications that may be attributable to the Covid-19 pandemic, they also found ways to help me mitigate the cost on the final month before moving out, which I thought was spectacular given the current economic climate when it is important for me to stretch a limited budget as far as it will go. My storage locker was clean when I moved in and-- besides a bit of heavy traffic with cars parking inside the loading bay area on weekends--there wasn't much problem when I needed access to my locker. In general, it also seems to be one of the more affordable storage facilities around. In the future, if I need to store some of my belongings again, I will be looking to Cubesmart again.

You can reach a manager in person during a normal span of work hours and on weekends. There are different sizes of cubicles and the monthly rate is reasonable (at this point). We like that our rental fee is deducted directly from our account. If the managers enforced the requirement that everyone at the premises wear a mask properly, we would have rated the facility a 10.

I arrived mid-morning, and the woman at the front desk was already expecting me and had everything up in my unit and ready to go. The facility was new, clean, and well lit. I've rented a few storage units in years' past, and I've learned not to expect much. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the experience was at CubeSmart. I couldn't be happier with the facility and service.

Made the reservation on the phone but once I got there I was told it was required to have renters insurance on the unit which was another $12 a month. This is a super nice facility! Clean, well lit, seems safe. What I did not like is that they have a $24 administrative fee the first month that is not listed on their website, and they require you to pay for insurance (an additional $12/month fee). They said that if my homeowners insurance covered storage units, that they could waive the fee, but they'd have to see it that day. Of course, this was never mentioned on the website or in the lengthy phone call I had with the manager the day I booked it. Since I was out of town, that was impossible. Very frustrating, seems deceitful at best. I expressed my concerns with the person there that day, and she just shrugged her shoulders.

The location and service are great. Wish they provided locks like other storage places do sometimes for convenience. They try to sell insurance but if you have renters, personal property insurance it will cover you.

First time renting any kind of storage locker and I can't believe how easy and affordable it is with CubeSmart. Special mention goes to Brian who walked us through every step. He was friendly and extremely helpful. I feel confident leaving my stuff in his hands. Highly recommend!

Looks clean and new, but for me it ended there. Girl at desk came across as not being interested in helping. Then when I said I have a boat, it was a straight out..."Nope, can't help!". Ummm... she didnt even ask me how big it is. I said it looks like it would fit in a spot they have for autos. To which I was told the owner doesn't want boats there. Well alrighty... I'll spend my money elsewhere. Is this a car showroom or a storage facility???

Excellent location for storing my car. Easy entry, very clean and very secure. The manager was very helpful she seems to go out of her way for all the clients.

Griselda and Brian were very helpful and provided a tour of their garage storage facility - which is impressive. It would be nice to have a lower monthly rate to store my car, but it’s a top notch facility with a washing bay and industrial vacuum cleaner.

If you can help it, don't load or unload on the weekends. Considering the crowds and waiting everybody was very polite and even helpful in trying to get things moving along.

My Mom and I enjoyed the service of Zareeta! We were looking in January of this year and she walked my Mom through, made suggestions on how to arrange boxes and really took care of my Mom. Then I came in and saw the same manager (Zareeta), she remembered my Mom which made it all the greatest on the customer service end. Both of us rented and we're happy customers. Also, Griselda's customer service is remarkable. She ans Brian are a treasure. Brian's an excellent replacement for the other manager. He met my Mom and treated her sweetly as well! Owners of this property should be very pleased with their store's ambassadors!

I really enjoyed the service of the team at Wheaton! It's a new store and at first I didn't understand why it was taking so long to build but I am glad it's in our neighboorhood. Griselda was very personable and opens the door! What great hospitality! Thank you for building this location.

Overall a nice place. Parking spots are great and access is convenient. Beautiful car logos on the walls. Does not appear to be managed well. The price of a parking spot changes all of the time. New customers often get a better rate than existing customers. This doesn't seem fair or good business practice. The heat has also been turned down so it is chilly in the garage. Cubesmart blames these 2 problems on the owners. Also told customers in October there would be lockers available to parking spot renters. Has not happened yet.

Giving 1 star because of the Rude cube smart. I have called Cubesmart many times and people live in Lorraine apartment many times to lower the volume of their alarm system which beeps 24/7 and we were told like month back that headquarters are working on it. My question is what if u start an alarm in front of your fancy lavish houses how would you feel when you can't sleep in the night or can't open your door because you hear that door alarm 24/7? Do you guys have civic responsibility among the residents live next door? I would do never any business with cubesmart because of this issue. And I am working with residents next door to bring a legal notice.
