They claimed to offer first month free, but you’ll get a call after you move in telling you you have to pay or move out of the unit. That sucked to deal with. I understand we have a housing crises here and I have nothing against someone having to live in a storage facility, but at least sweeping up the needles from the hallway would be helpful. I’m also guessing that might be why they’ve got a rat problem. Location is convenient though.

Disgusting. They have a rat infestation. It’s unsanitary and unsafe. They don’t care. I complained last summer, so they were well aware. This summer I complained after 2 months of being away and seeing 1000s of droppings and urine covering everything in my unit as well as gnawed plastic bags and boxes and damage to wicker furniture and clothing that were used for nesting. Tyler, the manager told me they didn’t realize their pest control person wasn’t doing their job for months. What? Am I supposed to be sympathetic? They took no personal responsibility or accountability in maintaining the facility and providing safe, secure storage. I asked Tyler if they could give me a courtesy of one months rent as I’ve been storing there for a while. Moving is a pain and I assumed the issue would be resolved and would compensate me for at least cleaning my space nevermind the damage done to my belongings. They refused any help or compensation. I was told to file a claim with my rental insurance, which doesn’t cover rodent damage and infestation. I spent hundreds of dollars on new containers, disinfectant, cleaning supplies, PPE to protect myself from airborne viruses, a new storage unit at another facility, time off of work to move a 10x15 by myself on short notice and a Uhaul/gas. Their complimentary truck is not offered if you move out… go figure. I spent 14 hours disinfecting for transport and I had to trash a large number of items. I moved out of my unit before the 1st, but I had to leave the garbage bags full of biohazardous material as well as 1000s of droppings in my unit as there is no accessible dumpster on site and I wasn’t putting that in my vehicle. Two other tenants on my hall moved out and also left hazardous waste and hundreds of droppings in the hall which for several days was never cleaned up. I had to sidestep a disgusting minefield or feces to even get things down the hall. I received an email saying I would be charged a full months rent and a $150 cleaning fee if I didn’t come dispose of the garbage bags, which were neatly left in the unit for them to dispose of since they created the problem! The least they could do especially with all of the loss I experienced in cleaning out my unit was to dispose of the rat feces damaged items themselves. I told them to provide PPE. Instead I get a notice back w a bill for $300+, no other word, never any apology. This place is filthy! And the management is garbage. The homeless encampment across the street also rents units and they regularly come inside to do hygiene in the bathroom and no one cleans it up. No offense but rats are sometimes brought in with peoples belongings. There was a viral outbreak in that same community that had to be quarantined and closed off years ago. It smells awful everywhere in the facility. It’s never thoroughly cleaned. The management doesn’t care. There was one person there named William who seemed to care a little bit, but I think he’s gone. All this place cares about is your money and the bottom line. Ultimately they don’t care about you or your precious belongings. Insurance is required but it doesn’t even cover the damage from pests which is a give in for a storage facility to preventing and managing. Avoid this place like the plague literally!!!! If you find a deal online, it’s not worth it because your items will become damaged and no one will compensate or help you but will instead charge you to clean up their mess. I’m filing a civil suit and have also talked to the health department.

It’s a storage facility I have been using my whole college career in Nola. The prices are always decent if not low! Rates barely change so don’t worry. The staff look tired but truly understanding and nice. If you need to negotiate they have good staff look. Definitely get climate control even if you think you don’t need it. Just cover your belongings to reduce the usual storage unit smell! Other than that 10/10 recommend. The second smallest unit can hold a queen bed, 7 large black and yellow bins from Home Depot, a mini fridge, and you’ll still have room left over.

Professional staff. Flat carts are available, and facilities were quite secure. I did get the one month free as bargained for. Small moving truck available (I didn’t use it.) Charged $20 to cut my lock for my move out since I forgot to bring my key. Warning: rats damaged some of our stuff, especially leather and books. Staff seemed unfazed by this fact; but, provided link to make a claim on the protection plan that I purchased from them. Haven’t made claim yet. Recommend using mouse/rat proof storage media-not cardboard or plastic trash bags. Have not encountered this issue at numerous other storage facilities

I'm writing this review as a warning to others: beware of the rat infestation at Spacebox. I've had two separate storage units with this company, and both times my belongings were damaged due to rodent activity. The facilities may look clean and well-maintained, but the reality is that rats are a serious problem here. When I moved my items out of storage, I was horrified to find rat droppings everywhere. My clothes and furniture were contaminated, and even after taking precautions, I still ended up with a rat in my new apartment. It's been a week since I moved in, and I'm left wondering what kind of damage it may have done in that time. The worst part is that I was caught off guard because the facility itself appears clean and well-managed. The staff is friendly, and the amenities are decent. But the rat problem is a deal-breaker. I'm sharing my experience so that others can avoid the same nightmare. Don't risk your belongings and your peace of mind - choose a different storage facility. As evidence, I've attached a photo of a rat I spotted in one of the hallways. It's not something I want anyone else to have to deal with.

Don’t walk RUN away from this poorly managed storage facility. The manager on duty has horrible customer service and it is RAT INFESTED. My daughter has had 3 incidents of rodents getting into her unit and upon further inspection there are rat droppings throughout the facility

Great for college students!! Very cheap and even the smallest one was still big for the amount of stuff I had! Great price for a college student as well, especially including a portion of insurance on it. The only caveat is that if you have a space with the open space at the top, mice will get in. They luckily didn’t get through much, but did chew on a few things I had. Luckily, nothing important, but I would try and claim the bottom storage spaces!

Couldn’t recommend this place more!! Not only is the facility basically spotless and air-conditioned, the staff are extremely helpful and nice! They gave me a tour and shared any and everything that I could possibly need. They also gave me a truck to use to help move my belongs for 8 hours! Stored here before and I guess it was okay but it's right next to a homeless encampment. Was told by staff that there were lots of burglaries last year because of 24 hour access to anyone claiming to have a business. Sadly recommended this to a friend. They rented and ended up having their stuff damaged by mice. I had them store a bin for me, it came back with six live mice in it and destroyed items. But I thought maybe a fluke. Came back today at around 12:22 PM. Drunken or drug adled people walking around everywhere. Homeless people entering the building with garbage bags and several gallons of water. Sat in office and patiently waited for conversation of staff to end. He was so leaned back in seat so far at first I didn't realize he was there. Got several calls myself and answered after third call (phone on vibrate) and said "sorry no cell phone zone at storage." and hung up to be polite. At no point did the guy say he would be with me in a moment. Then he looked at me with a sour expression and said "what do you want." I said a 5 by 10 unit. Still no enthusiasm on his part. I told him about my concerns and he was not helpful. Then I told him I was going to go with another storage unit. He said it's not his fault people are moving in. I said the main problem is your attitude. And he said "well have a nice day" in a nasty way. Previous customer service with Tyler (a different man) was pleasant and fun. Please retrain or replace this individual at desk on May 31st at 12:22. Will never rent from or recommend again. Good price but I guess you get what you pay for. Extra storage in Terrytown is much cheaper and worth the drive for five star service and five star reviews. Note actually went with a place in Metairie because Extra Storage only has ground floor units, and I worry about flooding. Place in Metairie was much cheaper actually got a 7.5 by 10 for $64 with first month free they had a 5 by 10 for $55 compared to this places $84. So not even a good price. If you can stand a 10-20 minute drive find a place out of the city. So much better options.

First time I got to this storage, I parked right in front of the office in the parking lot right next to a black car. I was in a Uhaul truck. I parked right in between the parking spot lanes. Suddenly, a gentleman in the black car opened his door and hit my rental truck. He yelled that I parked too close and asked for me to move. As I got out of my rental truck to check what he was talking about, it was obvious that he was parked almost on top of the parking line and had almost 3 feet of space on the other side. He was actually the one parked too close. I thought he was a customer of the storage. He finally got out of his car and ended up being an employee of the storage (he was the one who opened the office door with his key). He was clearly in the wrong, and he was a very rude employee. This happened on 1/20/24 at 1:15pm. I hope that your employees are a lot more polite going forward and acknowledge when they are in the wrong. I am glad I ended up not going in to get a new storage room.

I booked a special rate (2 months @ $50% off for $35 each with a truck. I had 2 verbal conversations agreeing to the details I booked. I was told the truck was not available for the 5x5 units. And the 50% off was a fluke, as well. Needless to say, that was not the case. I canceled my reservation and left.

Very friendly and helpful manager or assistant manager (not sure which one he is honestly) is about the only positive thing that I can stay about this establishment. They continue to advertise that free use of the facility moving van comes along with renting a storage unit even though the van has been unusable for months and doesn't appear to be being fixed or replaced anytime soon which is rather disappointing. Then along with the facility not being accessible 24 hours as other places are they recently changed their hours again and are now closing two hours earlier. On top of now closing at 8pm the security guard is rather rude about making you leave. My friend (single mother with her two children under 2 years old) accidentally left her keys in our unit upstairs and the guard refused to let her go get her keys because she was ready to go home, my friend had to call someone to come pick her and her children up from the facility to bring them home without the children's car seats. The next day we were receiving calls about her car being towed if she did not come retrieve it and that she wasn't supposed to leave her vehicle in the lot overnight! Insane! Thankfully the kind manager mentioned previously decided not to call the tow truck company once explained the situation.

New building, punch code security, clean, they have pull carts free for use, and a moving truck free for move in. Yes free - you just need to reserve it. Great rates and the manager, Tyler, was really helpful. It was recommended to me. I will recommend it to everyone. 10/10

ON 3/27/2022 R ABOUT MY UNIT WAS VANDALISE.I WAS TOLD BY TYLER POOLE THAT HE NEEDED A FULL REPORT INSTEAD OF JUST A POLICE ITEM #.THE OFFICER WHO CAME OUT TOLD THAT THE ITEM# WOULD DO.BUT I COULD GO AND GET A FULL REPORT. TODAY 5/3/2022 I PICK UP THAT REPORT AT A COST TO ME FOR 25.00 THE SAME THING WAS SAID I JUST THE ITEM # WHEN I GOT BACK OVER TO SPACEBOX IMAN COULD NOT FIND ANY PAPERWORK THAT WAS COPIED ON 3/27/22 .GOOD THAT I KEPT ALL OF THE ORIGINAL. THIS HAS BEEN A LONG EXPERIENCE THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. NOW HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I GET COMPENSATE FOR MY PROPERTY.

I just rented a small storage unit from this Earhart location. Price is very competitive, facility is clean and the managers Tyler and Iman were very helpful, patient and professional. If you need a storage unit you should definitely explore this location.

Moving from NYC and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Friendly and helpful staff (I lost my key and they cut me in, no problem) safe environment, great location, and immaculate facilities with HUGE flatbed carts. I wish I had more stuff to store here. Highly recommended.

I leased a rental unit with Spacebox recently and my husband and I received the highest level of superior customer service! The manager Tyler was extremely helpful and thorough when explaining all of the rules associated with the property. This is by far the BEST and MOST SECURE rental company in the city of New Orleans. Not to mention, the most affordable!

I don’t like Spacebox they said they was 24 hours and they not I was lock out of the Storage twice My stuff was water damage. Nobody told me anything about it. I had to walk in and find out.
