Actually ZERO stars, but you're forced to pick one to post review. Horrible Experience from day 1. Would not return calls. Had to make several trips to the store. When had a leak in storage unit and puddles of water found inside on my containers. Couldn't even get me plastic to cover stuff had to buy stuff then offered another unit but after requesting help due to me having to rent a uhaul and people to move stuff, they declined and even denied discounting my storage fees. I left my key for maintenance to fix the roof and after 2 months and multiple calls NOTHING. Then another month went by I then emailed and reached out to corporate online with NO response or phone number to call. After a week the local store called to tell me that the unit has been fixed to pick up my key. Well they went in with duct tape and glue it up, poor patch job and had the audacity to send a notice of monthly price increase! Never got a call from higher ups even after requesting a call and never got a discount fir the 3 months my unit was being rained in... Avoid this sham of a place at all cost!

I recently was getting ready to cancel with Cubesmart. While getting set up was smooth, and all my belongings were safe, canceling with them was not great. I tried to submit a cancelation request ahead of time, but I wasn't allowed to until all my things were out. Fair enough. The manager told me I had 5 days to cancel. So I removed my belongings. But when I went to cancel on the 5th day, I was charged for another month. Thinking it was just a simple miscommunication, I expected an easy refund since clearly I had no intention of staying another month. Not only was I refused a refund, there was no explanation given as to why I couldn't be refunded for a unit I was literally not even able to use since it was canceled. As of today, it has been almost a week and the district manager has not called me, even though I was promised a phone call. Update- The general manager of this particular cubesmart was very apologetic and made things right with me. They gave me a full refund and I will say, one thing I didn't mention previously was that the manager was empathetic and understanding with my situation. She was helpful in getting this sorted out, for which I will say my outlook on the situation has improved.

She clearly explained pricing, sizing of units and insurance fees. We had a unit in less than 20 minutes with the first month off. I was truly blown away by her professionality and personality. March 2023--I unfortunately did not have a good experience. It's a task to find someone in the office during "office hours" and they rarely answer the phone. The unit that I moved into was dirty and didn't close all the way. I put in a work order to get it fixed and during the 4 months that I was there it never happened. Because of that, I never put more than a box in my unit, so I paid $200 for 4 months, for a box. I asked them repeatedly to get it fixed and they never did. This is my first and last storage experience. Update it is 5/24/23 and I sent an email to the one listed below in their response a few days after the original posting and I still have heard nothing. They do not put customer service as a high priority so do not believe their response below.

I wish I could’ve gave it 0 stars. I rented a storage from them and when I went to get all my stuff out the storage the rats had eaten everything I own. I was paying insurance on my storage along with the storage fee. I paid my storage and insurance fee every month on time.i weren’t ever late. I filed a claim within 2 minutes I get an email back saying that they denied my claim because they don’t cover rodents; they only cover anything damaged or loss which confused me because everything I had in that storage was damaged and I loss it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to rent from them because they don’t care about nothing but money.

Worst storage facilities around Shreveport. Quoted me a rate of $49.99 and then 3 months later doubled it. The customer service lady said they have the right to do that so they do. I had reservations at another storage unit that fell through because no one was there when I got there 30 mins before they closed. So I had to Google Search for another storage nearby that was still opened. I found Public Storage and they closed at 6pm, I got there at 5:45, 5:50pm and was praying they had some climate controlled storage units available and they did. Ms. Kathy worked with me and got me in there before they closed. I really appreciated her taking the time to get me signed in and into a unit when it was so close to closing. Highlights of my 4 years at this facility include 2 water leaks in my first unit causing damage to the contents both times an a/c leak in the replacement unit I was given after the second water leak. When I vacated, the attendant told me I would be getting a partial refund on the last month’s rent due to being out before the 15th. Today, I called the billing department for an update on the status and to get more information. I was told that the company does not do prorated rent. The manager was very warm and professional and assisted us with a good rate and tour of the facility. Access in and out of the gate is smooth and easy, the room temperature is appropriate and feels very safe even in later hours, and the facility is above-expected safe and clean—I feel comfortable letting my toddler run around. Would definitely recommend.

Discount Self Storage is convenient and easy to get to. Very clean and well maintained. I have been a customer for over 2 and 1/2 years. This location is well lit and has a code access for entering, which gives a great safety feature if you are coming and going. I have received great customer service from Ben Evans, who is usually on site daily and has been a great help with any questions that I have had.
