My experience as a first time storage unit renter was really pleasant all because SALES REPRESENTATIVE CHRISTINE!!! She was patient, helpful and pleasant. I changed my mind about 7 times and she drove the buggy to those locations whatever hesitation.. So when I was about to close the deal, I changed my mind and looked at additional unit several times. Christine is a great asset to Cube Smart Self Storage. Also Christine was another factor of me signing the contract because I was shopping around for rates, cleanliness and knowledge…and after Cube being my 3rd stop, I had no reason to go back to the other 2 competitors or the other 1 after Cube Smart and Christine’s expertise.

It's bad enough these companies hike the monthly rate up yearly, because their own industry says that's what they can do. This particular location is understaffed, to the point that in the last 5 months of stopping in to pay the rent, they have the office closed for "lunch" at the most random of times. Either I sit around and wait, or I reschedule another entire day around what should be a 5 minute process

2 issues: sneaky predatory price increases and mice/stink bugs. They will start you off at promo price and rise your rent by 10$ every few months so you don’t notice. I started at 80/m ended my contract at 180$/m, and if you rent the same unit tomorrow, it’ll be 90$. Wasn’t notified specifically about rent increases, but it was reflected in the invoice. Wouldn’t have any issues if today’s rent was anywhere close to what mine was. ..Mice infested, items damaged over 3 years of storage. Mouse feces in every cardboard box. Clothes damaged/nested in. Stink bug nests and dead bodies everywhere.

Compared 5 storage facilities cube smart had the best monthly pricing as well as a first month incentive. Toured the facility and liked the fact you could drive through the enclosed units for ease of loading or unloading into the unit. Also liked the use of the freight elevator. Jason provided phenomenal customer service. I’m a new customer and he went, in my opinion, above and beyond the providing of regular service. On my move in day, the act port door key pad on the climate controlled building was not working, due to the previous night’s storm. Jason waited for me to show up before taking his lunch break. He let me and my movers in, which saved me a lot of time and money. He is also very polite and was able to answer all of my questions.

Horrible experience, Location has rats present and upon detection was told by manager of store to contact protection plan since I paid for storage insurance. Protection plan stated they do not cover rodent damage or money for cleaning fees. Manger did nothing to assist with incident in any way. Told manager I would be leaving storage unit before the 4th. I left storage unit days ago and my card was still automatically charged $243 today for the next months rent. Called store today multiple times during business hours and got no answer. Called cube smart customer service and they emailed store. Majority of my items were damaged and had to be thrown away. All together a horrible experience paid $243 a month for 6 months. Only to have to throw away a majority of my items due to a problem caused by lack of cleanliness and regular upkeep on the storage unit locations end. DO NOT go here.

I don’t know why I’m being charged full price every month. There is always something wrong with the security gate or the garage door to get into the climate controlled facility. If it’s not one, the other is. Be it they’re always open, or closed. Regardless, it makes my life harder and I really don’t know why on earth I pay hand over fist to rent a unit here. The ONLY pro about this place is the employees. Lee is a great dude, the others are kind too. But corporate- get your stuff together. This is a sin that you get away with highway robbery charging a premium for your storage space and the location is either not secure (security gate is regularly left open because it’s broken.) or the climate controlled facility is inaccesible in some capacity, be it the giant door not operating, the elevator being broken, etc. I’m just at my wits end at this point and needed to put my Karen hat on. This is not a dig at the employees.

I was helped by the store manager Joey who showed me the facility and explained things while Ashley the other store manager took care of helping with the registration process at the office, not to forget mentioning Lee GM who all have a great attitude, and their customer service skills are beyond magnificent. The location is at Pulaski highway in a very strategic location. The facility is well maintained and clean. It’s a place to have your storage when you need. Biggest point is: I’m a person that asks too many detailed questions before I make a choice, and those people were happy and excited to answer them all positively in a friendly manner.

I applied for a 10x15 unit for $131 month ... when l got there l was told that only a 10x20 was available for drive up...l refuse it...but was told that she would give me it for $131 if l took it... So l signed a lease...9/18...l dropped in the back office to pay my second payment n was told it was 153 dollars for my payment... what happened to keeping your word at least 6 to 12 months...l haven't even gotten all my stuff in it n started robbing me right away... not feeling to happy about this...now l have been waiting for the owner to let me know if my contact for my unit is still in effect or do l have to go somewhere people keep their words...l need to know if I should remove my stuff to a more reasonable offer because of this or stay because the contract signed up for is still in effect?... been waiting for an answer several days now... need to know something...

They keep your stuff safe and all. Years ago I would have given 5 stars, but the storage rates keep going up here. They were affordable to me for many years. The public bathroom is always locked to prevent people from "messing it up". The temperature controlled spaces have a elevators, but they don't work so well. Better get yourself a hand cart/truck that can go up and down stairs. The garage doors have issues more often than not as well, per customersi have spoke to that use the building spaces.They also took away the dumpsters, but that I can understand from a liability stand point, and over filling charges can cause quite a loss. I feel if the customer's rate is going up a business should reflect that in there businesses. In this case, a working toilet, elevators, and garage doors.

I have requested help for late fees and lean fees for i have no work since march, but I found that they can't help only for fees or leans fees, but not both. So, I was force to start moving out from one unit for I feel more impacted for the fees. I felt they just care for their business, not to the customers. I only requested to forgive the fees, not the rent.

Although I ended up not needing the storage unit after confirming, paying the deposit and paying for the lock, everyone was very professional and helpful. Thankfully I did the first month free rental agreement so I didn't have to pay anything else. If I ever do need a storage unit in the future, I will go back to this facility.

Keep your things sealed in plastic containers here. Plan on everything in your outdoor storage unit being wet, then molding, due to the Florida swamp-like humidity from the water that constantly seeps up and runs through their lot. The older people that work here don't like to answer the phone or call anyone back in a timely manor, or deal with them at all. The younger people seem to have the only quality customer service here.

Rented with this location for 2 units. When we started in February of this year things were well. However during the few months we were there, we experienced multiple times the roll up door being broken which meant we were unable to pull in and had to take our items out of a side much smaller door. There was no notification of a door being down and unaccessable (other than the smaller door) until you get there. Also there are not very many carts to load and unload. If there were multiple people there you can guarentee that you were not getting a cart. Also from Februay until June our rate stayed the same. Effective July 1 rate went up with no notification to us. The only way I knew of the rate increase was by going online to pay and see the updated statement.

07/07/19 update on update. The district manager had one conversation with me... then would not return my calls. This is the most unprofessional business I've had the displeasure of dealing with. They know they have rats so the insurance clause excludes rats specifically! Safe your self and go to any other storage place. 07/05/19 Update- I appreciate that the district manager has reached out. No promises we're made but I am waiting to hear back from him. Also Cindy( Manager) has checked on me. I know he visited the site and are planning to check out the rodent problem. Keep you posted. 5/29/19. Rent some where else! Rats!. I asked to use the rental truck but it was wrecked and they didn't replace it. Cust service was great until there was a problem. A problem they created. A rat or mouse infestation destroyed the majority of items. I was told that the mandatory insurance I was forced to purchase did not covered mice and I'm screwed. I've paid over 2k in storage. Obviously the items meant a lot to me and NOTHING! Go somewhere else.

Manager was rude, took over an hour and two calls to customer service to get a call back. When the manager finally called back had an attitude, acted like I was stupid because I was quoted a totally different price, and he was charging me almost $50 more than my quoted price. Just an overall bs experience.

Pricing per square foot is a tremendous value in this area--even moreso when you compare CubeSmart's climate controlled indoor rates vs. nearby competitors' outdoor rates. If you're worried that it's too good to be true, worry not! The facility is very clean and exceptionally well-maintained. This location is stacked with a strong, proactive team. In particular, look for Cindy, the general manger, and Randy, the onsite master technician--both of them with years of experience in their respective positions.

The climate control building was a little warm and there was no room to unload stuff due to people that have some sorta business setup in a storage and 3 of their cars were taking up space,,, and the lighting isn't too great

This storage facility seems very secure and clean. Easily accessible to the units and to the place, in general. Both outside units and inside units available. Sturdy doors and well maintained property. Various checkpoints to enter a code so not just anyone can get in.

Cindy and her staff members are very knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. I was very impressed with Cindy she offered a hands-on approach to renting, she actually walked me to the actual unit to see if it would accommodate me before we signed any contracts or paid any money. She was very informative and friendly. I especially liked the drive through/entry of building it was what I was specifically looking for when choosing a unit and the unit was clean and well kept. Johnathan is my go to guy, Not only is he very friendly he forever make his presents known, always on the premises walking the floors checking on things (I feel safe) he makes storing at Cube Smart a Great experience. Cindy was amazingly friendly and helpful, and the units are clean and well kept. I appreciated use of the free truck for initial move in. My only issue was that the drive through lift doors were not working for over a week, which caused my 2nd floor move in to take longer and require more energy than should have been necessary. Since the drive through/entry of building is what I was specifically looking for when choosing a unit, I would say that it should be an immediate priority on any repair list. But, overall, and I did TONS of research, this place is by far, a great deal and well cared for. I feel confident leaving my precious belongings here. :)

After looking around at several area storage companies, we easily choose CubeSmart over all the competition. It had the best prices, friendly staff, good hours, clean, climate controlled, well lit, multi-passcode security and and convenient location for us. Not to mention the only place that has a moving truck to use. We were able to reserve a unit and lock in a price until we had time to look at it in person. After seeing the until it only took about 5 mins to get all the paperwork settled and 10 mins before we had our first boxes in the unit. I don't have to worry about my personal belongings at CubeSmart, they are in good hands.

Great customer service, they are always willing to answer questions. I have even stopped by on my way home to pay the bill right as the girl was going to lunch and she held off on her lunch went back in and took my payment so I didn't have to make another trip. I just recently went from a 5x5 outdoor to a 5x10 indoor storage unit. The climate controlled ones are so nice.... I couldn't be happier!
