Bought a "climate controlled" unit that I believe is 5x15. Five feet deep and 15 long. First thing is instead of one door, my unit has 3. So I had to buy extra locks to keep it secure. You access it from outside, just like a normal unit and all 3 doors have worse seals on them than an abandoned house. I went on a 85 degree day and inside the unit was almost as hot as outside. There's nothing keeping a heavy rain from running through the bottom of the 3 separate doors and flooding the unit either. The place is mediocre at best. I only went here because it's 2 minutes from the house, but I would have drove an extra 10 mins to Leonardtown if I woulda known how this place is.

Not suited to store anything beyond decorations. The “climate controlled” section is only about 5 degrees below the outside. This means on hot days the units are in the mid 80’s. The very high inside temperatures combined with lack of air circulation means the humidity is very high, and your clothes and soft materials (padding for helmets or boots) will mold. They lock the thermostats so you also cannot lower the temperature when the system is not set to a proper temperature, even though you are paying extra for that feature. You wouldn’t rent an apartment that went into the upper 80’s even though you were paying for air conditioning would you? Once you’re out of the introductory period, rent is increased by about 10% a year, which is staggeringly high. The hours of access are extremely limited. The office closes about 4-5 hours before access hours end, so there isn’t anyone there anyways, but they arbitrarily cut off access at 10 even though it’s fully self service.

The person running the facility any time I was on location was extremely helpful and kind. I felt the prices were fair. Only suggestion would to make all the units weather proof or with better air circulation. The units left alot of my items smelling mildewy when picked up. Nothing a little wash can't take care of. Just a suggestion but over all it was a wonderful experience renting the space from you.

Good product, very happy with the local facility (they get 5 stars) but the interaction with corporate was marginal at best. I called because the pricing wasn’t clear on the website then the person who added my reservation didn’t take my email address and, most importantly, didn’t mention that not having the address in the reservation would prevent finishing the transaction online - because (get this) it’s impossible for an associate to add the address later. They also gave me a run around on how the discount works. Still am not sure, I have been told three different things. One from the local office, and two from calls to the corporate office - two calls, two different answers. I’ll find out who was right in time I suppose.

Velvet was amazing. Her professionalism, customer service, and flexibility was greatly appreciated. That said, (out of Velvet’s control) the hvac stopped working at some point in the midst of summer and it took the contractor too long to fix it. It was broken at least a month. CubeSmart compensated me monetarily on that month’s charge, but I did end up with mold on some items. Additionally, recommend the written policy on not pro-rating when checking out be changed.

Several of the other storage facilities I checked out did not have anyone minding the office. Rather than speaking to someone in a call center somewhere overseas, I spoke directly to the manager on site when I called, and they were happy to show me around before I made my decision. I had 4 units at this site over the past 2 years. None of the units had a working light (it was reported) and the gate was broken (left open) more than it was closed. So much for secure. The last unit had a roll up door that was so difficult to open my dad injured himself. The only thing good for me was the location and no elevator.

Ms. Velvet, the on site manager, was friendly, very accommodating, and easy to work with. When I called to store my travel trailer, I voiced concern over having enough space. She immediately went into action to make sure there was enough space, while also confirming with the owners of other trailers around me to ensure they had enough space too. Excellent service, easy access, and a clean lot means I wouldn’t hesitate to store my trailer there again in the future.

When I moved my things out of the unit, Velvet was there to help. She was there to help me with a payment issue and made it easy and stress free. We are new customers. When we first got our unit the gate was broken and we could drive right in. Today we tried to go to our unit and our code would not work. The office was closed during posted business hours. We called the help line thru the app, the first person we spoke to was very helpful and called the general manager of the location who didn't answer the phone. Gave us a temporary code, which didn't work. They then called the district manager who also didn't answer the phone. We were instructed to wait 10 minutes per their policy for a return call which did not happen. Called again and the 2nd person gave us a couple more codes to try and we finally got in (after an hour of sitting there). We expressed frustration that our entire household would be delivered to this unit and we may not even be able to access it, nothing was offered to remedy the situation or our frustrations, except that "someone will contact you soon." So far we are not impressed with the services and will probably be looking for a new facility to move to. While waiting there we also spoke to 2 other new customers who were unable to get in.

We were so delighted with the customer service from the first call until the first time we met with CUBESMART! The facilities are so well organized, neat & clean and exactly what we were looking for. Our representative was very courteous and attentive to our needs. She took us to our unit, showed us around the facility and made sure we could get in and out of the unit and the facility itself with no problems. She explained in detail all the options we had and what we getting and what was to be expected. The property is huge and located in a perfect area for a storage facility. It was easy to find and there is more than ample room for you to drive around and park near your unit. The prices for the units as well as their selection far surpassed that of the other facilities we looked at. We are happy we chose this CUBESMART Storage Facility.

Both ladies in the office were very helpful, friendly, and answered all of my questions. The first month was free and the pricing was very reasonable considering I priced several other facilities and the other facilities were more for the same size. I'm actually glad there is not a 24/7 hour access to the facility due to that, in my opinion, would not be as secure from criminal activity. I would definitely recommend this facility to others looking for a storage facility.
