I rented the unit and it was mice, infested, and water damage damaged. I never moved in and wanted my money back and they would not return it to me. I had to get my bank to do so. They had a beautiful facility right up the street, but very nice units clean and well lit, but management was absolutely horrific!!!! At every turn, I had to speak to someone at a regional or district management level because the actual store manager was so unprofessional. I do not understand why it was so difficult with the storage unit you pay your money and want access to your unit. The store manager would call me about the most ridiculous things every month. One month she called me and told me that my unit had been broken into an emptied out. She then called me back 20 minutes later and said she made a mistake. I don’t really understand what was going on with the entire situation. There should be no need for all this interaction with a manager of a Cubesmart. Then the door was broken and climate control was not happening. Items within my units were damaged because of the extreme cold that they were exposed to. A lot of regional manager now and was not offered any sort of compensation for the matter. Just a poor experience all the way around. But they have beautiful units. And the pricing increased rapidly up $50 a month over the course of six months!!!

I rented two weeks ago and still have yet to move in due to my need to find the time to call and speak with a Cube Smart Rep at my Elkton location, about WHY the exit door is ALWAYS OPEN, 24/7. One of the ONLY reasons I chose Cube Smart and that location, was because their advertisement stated they had Units that were Drive/Up and CLIMATE CONTROLLED. I noticed on my way out the last time I was there to move in, that the Exit door appeared to be broken and not able to close manually. So at this point it’s been a huge inconvenience that I can’t move in yet until my Unit is legitimately “climate controlled”. The contents that I’ll be storing will be ruined otherwise. I understand that things require routine maintenance but how long could it possibly take to fix an oversized garage door?

I had the absolute worst service by the general manager she was racist, prejudice, and so unprofessional.. I don’t want anybody to go there to experience what I experienced.. She was disgusting!!!!! horrible place to go for storage!!! Storage is not that big of a deal, The way the general manager talk to me was absolutely horrible and I will be reaching out to HR!

I personally have 2 units here. The place is very clean and climate controlled. Customer service is good but the office is very under staffed in my opinion. I would definitely recommend if you have valuable items and or books and tools you don't want messed up from climate conditions.

Beware. Bait and switch. When I first reserved my spot I needed them to hold it for a little bit longer. They said okay no problem we can extend the hold. When I got my first month's bill, it was 16% higher than the promised rate. When I asked they told me it was because somebody changed my spot and even though it was the same size spot at the same facility the rate changed and there was nothing they could do. Then, 6 months in, my rate went up by another 25%. When I called in about this they said they had reevaluated rates due to maintenance on the property and other nonsense and, again, there was nothing they could do about it. Yet on their website the monthly rate cited is still the same as the rate I was originally promised. So I guess they intend on doing this to any other sucker behind me. I've since pulled my RV from there and I'm storing it elsewhere. In response to CubeSmarts response to my review: I DID try taking to management. I was told the increase was due to property maintenance and there was nothing they can do, as I noted above in my review. But why, then, is the advertised price online still the same low price I was originally promised? Like I said bait and switch.

It was very easy, I'm sorry but I forgot the reps name, SHE WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! She made sure I understood Everything. Very meticulous, she found a storage closet for me that was close and easily accessible. What's even more great is she told me about the referral program where I told her about my friend and how he told me how easy and great Cube Storage was to use. I gave her my friends' name, she looked it up by his last name because it was under his Moms' first name. She was able to give them the $25 referral credit before I made it home. I'm mad at myself for not remembering the Reps name, just know she is GREAT!!!!!!!????????????????

Just rented a unit and a parking spot for my RV. Everyone I had contact with was very nice and helpful. They have an app and great technology. The code is your unit number and your phone number. Easy to remember and works on all doors. Did all on line and were sent instructions. Everything we needed was in a bag in the unit. So far so good hope it keeps going as good as it started.

The sales staff got me in a clean unit at a great price really quick, so good start. Unfortunately, three months in, they raised the price $18. When I called to see if they could maybe relieve the costly pressure a little bit as a courtesy for a new customer...there was no response after three weeks. Apparently, the district manager, who was supposedly addressing all price increases, didn't have time for me, my on-time payments or my business.

Very well kept storage facility. Heather was very knowledgeable and friendly. The reason for 4 stars is the fact u have to buy a barrel lock from them to use on ur unit. There is no refund on the barrel lock it’s basically yours. Where am I going to use a barrel lock after I’m done with my unit. So basically I pay for a lock I can never use. I think there should be a refund on the $20 barrel lock.

The experience is always great! The first time I went to smartcube was with my daughter she rents a storage unit there as well, that’s what prompted me to get a unit. The facility is spotless, always clean. The bathroom is always clean and smell nice and fresh. I love the fact that the facility is secure. The assistant manager Heather always full of information and I just love her energy. Heather is very knowledgeable of the facility. She gave me one of the facility locks and told me if I needed any help to call her. So I needed help lol I called and she came right over and gave me a tutorial on how to use the lock.

Do not go here they have no security and my rv was broken into and my exhaust system was literally cut from the front to back .when I reported it to management they said that they were not responsible and I needed to contact my insurance to place a claim. Why when the rv was parked in your lot ,and I’m paying a fee for storage. They scammers on another level .The service stinks in this regard. 1500 dollar repair is ridiculous that I spent unnecessarily
