RATS, RATS and more RATS!!! After over a year of paying over $200 for a unit which recently increased to $250, I ended up having to abandon my unit due to a rodent infestation. I did NOT have any food items in my unit, only furniture and some storage boxes. Upon visiting the unit after traveling for a few months, I noticed rat feces and urine on the side of a tv stand that was in storage. I notified the manager and she assisted with placing rat poison in the unit. She reassured me that this would help eliminate the rat problem, but was she wrong. After visiting the unit again after a few days, I noticed the problem had gotten worst, there were more rat feces/ urine on my couch. What made matters worst is the “protection plan” the company offers does NOT cover damages made by rodents. It’s best advised to get renter’s insurance and hope your unit doesn’t get infested by rats. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. The only thing good about this place is the manager is friendly/ helpful, that’s it.

I had an issue with the self check-in and I reached out via the QR posted in the hallway to chat with a customer service representative. The manager is never in the office and I have been trying to reach her for over a week and she does not answer the phone anytime of the day and does not return messages! There are no dollies or hand carts for moving our things into storage and I had to pay extra to have somebody help us carry everything from the car inside to the storage unit! I had to call the corporate number twice and I'm now waiting for the district manager to get in contact with me. It has been a very frustrating experience. The conversations that I have had with other tenants all resonate the same as mine unfortunately and they said that she is never in the office and just not answer or return phone calls. My boyfriend had a separate unit and only kept his things there 3 weeks temporarily during a move and upon moving out this weekend after only 3 weeks everything was covered in mouse droppings! I mean covered! It looks nice on the outside but I definitely do not recommend because obviously pest control is lacking as is customer service unfortunately. Very disappointing!

Horrible company. Impossible to get management on the phone. They jack up monthly rental rates without proper notice, in violation of the lease agreement. To the owner's response below: I understand monthly rate is not guaranteed for the life of the rental, but as stated above, the lease requires that you provide notice. You didn't. Also, I have no idea how it's "necessary" for "providing top-notch service and clean facility" to raise rent twice in barely over a year and by over 50%.

CubeSmart needs to exterminate for rodents on the ground level. Our storage was on the ground level and our belongings were filled with rodent poo. Also we were never notified by CubeSmart that our vehicle would not be allowed to exit after 10pm. If it weren’t for another customer who told us to hurry & drive out, we would have been locked inside the facility until the next day. Very poor customer service! We would never recommend CubeSmart!

Con-Started at a great rate; better than DC. In 2016 $75 for 10x10. By 2020 10x10 over $140 and was going up to $150 effective 12/01/2020. We moved out 11292020. Too many price increases. If anything, the longer someone rents they should get a discount. Four years later, moved on. Pro- Always had units available.

Made a reservation and was quoted at about 80 dollars thru their website. Come to find out the actual price, after insurance and all of their hidden fees was over 200 dollars. Entire business model is based on enticing people with a very reasonable rate, then more than doubling the cost when they arrive. Women on the phone could not even give me a straight answer as to how much my unit would cost, just that it'd wind up being abouut 200 dollars/ more than double the price listed online

This Cubesmart has issues the Manager is Denise Jones they need to remove her from this facility. If I could give negitive stars I would. They are very unperfessional. Cubesmart corporate office needs to do pop ups on this facility and have the mystery shoppers to go to the facility to rate their employees then they will see just how horrible they are. Think twice before going here not all cubesmarts just this one.

Dee was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she help me get the right storage space at a reasonable price, but she also made me feel welcome in my new community, informing me of all the fun amenities available in the Bladensburg/D.C. area. I have never had to rent storage space before, but Dee made it a pleasant and easy experience. The entire facility is clean and neat, and everything operates easily (i.e. entry/exit gates, doors to storage units).

REALLY 0 OUT OF 5 STARS. Terrible customer service. The lady running the place was extremely rude and seemed angry that I was even in the store. Even though I brought my own lock she wouldn't let me use it and required me to buy a lock from her stating that I was to provide my own "plate" to close the unit door even though all other units were given plates. This woman needs to be replaced. I'll make sure no one that I know ever uses this storage facility.

Got a really bad experience with this people, me bike was storage here with six others, and they got STOLEN and none of the suff saw anything, and it was on day light around 1:00PM I know there most be something fisshy there probably some of the stuff people were involved in that, all I can say dont do bussiness here with this disgusting place or your things will get STOLEN too.

I gave Cube Smart 4 out of 5 because of the customer service and economy. I was not "wowed" because I was given the wrong entry code and wound up losing a day in moving. I had to wait until the next morning to only to be told that the code was correct in the system but not on the card written by the general manager.
