Have been a customer here for 2.5 years. It is staffed daily, video-monitored, and climate controlled facility with discounts available. Two loading docks available (one raised for elevated truck beds and one at ground level, ample number of dollies to move too and from units. Best thing about the place is the super helpful staff. Formerly acorn, now “cubesmart” with an app that actually works for monthly payment by card. Multiple types of units on multiple floors, two working freight elevators (4500 lbs capacity) in a convenient location, and competitive pricing. Highly recommend to friends and family.

Should make it easier to upload a PDF copy of your homeowners policy (or link your online USAA or State Farm account) when Booking a storage unit online. Could not get military discount, despite being a military spouse and a veteran myself (w/ my official ID in my hand), despite getting unit as a part of my family’s military move for my wife’s career. I moved to here from another local Kensington Storage facility. They turned out to be cheaper, cleaner, and with better hours for access! Both Thien and Jheromell in the front office are great as well! They even let me jump on a freshly vacated larger unit when I saw someone move out, with minimal procedural hurdles or extraneous paperwork. This place is great!

Acorn in Kensington, MD has always been a high class act. Their storage facility is always clean. Carts are readily available to assist with moving materiel. The loading bay doors and the elevators just work. The two young men who run this facility are especially attentive to their customers, dealing with issues cheerfully and fairly. They are always neatly dressed and ready to help. It was with mixed feelings that I closed out our storage unit on Saturday, after many years. It was now empty and we no longer needed it. I am glad to be out but not so glad I will no longer see those two fellows again. If you need a self-storage facility give Acorn in Kensington a try. Over the years I have used other such places with less than satisfactory results. Acorn has been the best!

Honest and Helpful! I was looking for some special features in a storage place, and did not know how to go about finding what I needed. Robin (the manager) was honest and direct, telling me that her facility did not have what I needed, but also offering to help. She offered to (and did!) contact several other facilities to help me find what I was looking for.

This is the cleanest, nicest storage facility in the area. Jheromell and Robin go above and beyond for their customers. I cannot thank them enough for helping me coordinate efforts to have my elderly father's unit cleaned out after we moved him into a nursing home. Clean but customer service is really bad. Went to talk to them in the office and found the office closed with a sign saying they would be back an hour and a half from when I walked up. If they don't want to be around from 9:00am to 6:00pm it would be a good idea to consider changing those hours.
