I've had a unit at the CubeSmart on Branch avenue in Marlow heights for at least 3 years never complaint the staff has always been cordial and accommodating knowledgeable and professional I recently had to upgrade to a larger unit and the help I have received and am receiving from Mr Anthony is five star I would recommend them especially this location to anyone.

Poor communication. Rude on site staff. Broken elevator during move out which resulted in moving my items down 3 floors (6 sets of stairs) and was told that I would be charged for non removal of items I was unable to remove due to the broken elevator. Called customer support for assistance and was told a District manager or General manager would call within 15 mind and if not call back. Waited 30 mins with no call. Called back and was told it was nothing that could be done due to no onsite staff. Staff lied to General manager stating the elevator was fixed and it wasn’t. I was told that I could “just come back to finish because it’s fixed now so we are not going to dispose of it without charging you” after explaining that I lived in a different state and made arrangements to travel to complete the move out the day I reported the elevator issue. I never received a callback as promised and had to call back 3 times before speaking with a higher up. Matter was resolved but not without delay and a huge inconvenience.

Please stay far away from this place! I stored my things there for a period of 8 months. When I went to move out I noticed mice droppings all over my things and on the floors. Luckily all of my belongs were in tubs. It was the most disgusting thing to see especially considering the price of the unit. The prices increased after a few months with no notice! Find you a clean storage unit and definitely not the one in Beech Drive.

Whenever I have questions she is very knowledgeable, credible and has a great personality. I've had my storage unit for more than a year and it's always a pleasure to interact with her each time I pay my bill. The monthly fee has increased alot so I thought about finding a cheaper unit elsewhere but I change my mind cause currently I receive quality service for my money. I had the worst experience with this location. this facility has a major mice problem. When I got my things out of storage, 2 mice ran out, and 2 were dead inside of my unit. My couch, dining rooms set, some chairs, bed, and a lot of other items were destroyed. They ate holes in everything and dropping where ALL OVER EVERYTHING!!. My movers said they had never seen anything like this ever. they tried to get the dropping off of my bins and boxes as much as they could before bringing them to my new home. this was my first time having to use a storage unit, so I didn't know something like this was possible. The young lady at the desk stated that this happens when someone has food in the unit, or when customers bring food and put it inside of the trash cans on site, it cause mice. She also said that someone on the floor where my until was must have food stored inside of there unit. She told me the only thing she can do is put in a report and the legal department will call me but most likely I will not be paid for all of the things I lost. She said the insurance that I was paying for does not cover rodents. I have been paying $257 for 10 months only for my belonging to be destroyed!! I would suggest if you have to use this facility to check on your stuff often!! After posting this review I see other mice reviews of customers who had the same problem as I did at this location. BEWARE putting your things here!!! Update:As of today 5/16 I still have not been contacted with an apology or reasonable solution by the manager of this locations. It's obvious paying customers concerning are not addressed and taken seriously. But I'm 100% if I didn't pay on time, that would have been an issue! But yet, my things have been destroyed by my rats for 10 months and no follow-up at all!

This review is WELL overdue. Firstly Miss Tania. Her customer service was phenomenal. The situation(which I will not publicly disclose) that could've have went completely LEFT went completely RIGHT with her resolution and resourceful help. I thought she was the General Manager. ?? ?Happy Sunday, I wish ous all health and wellness. Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of being welcomed warmly into the facility by CubeSmart team member Tania. I asked her if she could step outside and take a look at the UHaul van & my things to help me decide what side I’ll need. Then efficiently explained my options, while provided a visual of the options. After she took me on a tour and actually showed me two sizes I was undecided on and it sealed the deal. I already felt like she went above and beyond at this point, she just smiled and said it alright. After we handled the business and I was moving myself in, I got lost on my floor ??????? and had difficulty finding my unit, so I made a call and here she goes again, unfrustrated, peaceful and patient as she simply found my unit. It was the day before a major decision and helped things go smoothly as I made my power move. I’m thankful for her.

February 28th I rented a CubeSmart to only store my things for a month. I went out of town that same day after moving everything in. I returned 5 days after my move in to find that my storage was broken into from the ceiling and over $6000 worth of items were stolen and broken. Mind you only the assistant manager saw me move into this unit. I don’t know what type of inside operation cube smart is running, but DO NOT store your items with cube smart. I called the police as soon as I saw my unit was broken into. I spoke with the assistant manager about the security footage and very nonchalant she said “ oh we can’t see anything on the cameras.” I’ve been asking to speak with the manager and never received no call or follow up. I was moved to a different unit then they tried to up my price. I was still waiting to speak with the manager but no response. But some how when the bill was due they were very prompt at calling me smh. I told the guy on the phone what happened, then went in few days later because I didn’t receive a phone call or anything from the manager still and the guy that was there at the storage says to me “ oh people break in everywhere and we don’t have security cameras in the hallways. This was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I’ve ever had with a storage facility. If you store anything here you would be a fool. I’m still trying to get in contact with corporate or district manager and no response. Something will be done about this, this is not the last they will hear from me.

Rent is kinda pricey for such a small unit with bad lighting. The person that works in the front office is hard to find when you need her and hard to contact via phone call. Everything about my storage experience was great, from the opening of my account to when I closed out except when I was told I would not qualify for the discounted rate for a larger storage space because I was already a customer. Upon my arrival by appointment at Cube Smart on Beech Road in Temple Hills, Maryland I was warmly greeted by Monique Rosier who fielded all of my questions and concerns about renting storage space. Sge was knowledgeable and candid about all of the quality services available to first time customers. She provided me a valuable experience by walking me through the facility and reassuring me that my decision to choose Cube Smart was a competent one. The entire building was clean, well lighted, safe, and sanitary. Monique was extremely helpful and professional in her familiarity with company protocols and my specific needs at this time. This interaction was favorable and leaves a great impression in my mind as it correlates to recommending future customers. I leave here extremely pleased even on a less than stellar day weather wise. I rented my unit in 2018 and every time I enter the Temple Hills location on Beech Rd it’s always a pleasant experience. The employees always speak and asks if we need any help. They also have pull carts available to assist your moving. Today I actually went to move out of my unit and I had the pleasure meeting Latisha the GM. She’s was very helpful and informative with all of my questions and concerns about ending my time with Cube Smart. I would also like to mention a special employee by the name Rayquan, whenever I see him he makes sure I am well taken care of. He’s definitely an asset to the Cube Smart team. Not only is my experience good in store, my phone calls are also very pleasant. Good job Cube Smart I would highly recommend. PS when you FIRST get a storage unit they have a free truck that you can rent for your move ??

Not safe not secure. There is a black chain link fence in the back that criminals can access(they cut the gate in several places)they sheared the whole lock housing on my unit off. 20k plus gone. Please look somewhere else Do not store your belongings here for any amount of time. This happened feb 2020 police called nothing happened. I asked to see the video surveillance. I was denied. Then told later from staff the was a 4 hr lapse in the camera. It’s dark the lighting is very poor. We all thought our belongings was safe simply because of how the front looks and the vertical gate. until our stuff was gone less than a month later. I can’t stress it enough do not use this place!!!

Leticia at the Temple Hills location on Beech Rd gave outstanding customer service to me yesterday. I got there a couple of minutes before closing time and instead of turning me awathat should y, she assisted me stating that, she cannot send me in the pouring rain without being helped. A co worker stayed with her to ensure her safety. She went, what I believe is over and beyond. She didn't rush me she gave me full service providing me with all the rental information. She then showed me where to stand so I can be safe in dry out of the rain until my help arrived. I have worked in customer related jobs for about 20 years and Leticia displayed the type of customer service that should make this company proud and I hope her recognition goes beyond this review. I moved out of my storage unit, 10/31/2020, from the Temple Hills location. I received the ultimate customer service from a staff member, I believe her name starts with a K, I can describe her as having short curly hair, which I complimented her on, and she made a stressful moving experience great. No matter when when I called or what I called about, the staff were knowledgeable and displayed great customer service.

I agree with some of the other reviews, CubeSmart in Temple Hills is brightly lit and so far clean of vermin. I also agree with Bruce Jones about the frequency of rate increases. I moved into my unit January of 2018, received a rate increase within a matter of months. 2019 another rate increase almost 30%. At this rate, my monthly rental rate will double in a couple of years. Considering shopping around. I rated 4 stars because of store manager Jasmine M. She's new to this location but her personality and professionalism are exemplary. I hope her spirit for this industry continues and wish her well.

This facility is the worst I paid for a inside locker and when I went back for my monthly payment it was empty!!!With the lock still on wich means somebody went over top of the locker or I believe it was an inside job!!who else would know it was no cameras in that area!! They were no help they were rude and very non chalant about the situation like it wasnt even important!!I plan on going on 7 on your side and filing an insurance claim!!They said no cameras were in the area so they couldn't help me and when I called the police they said they have been to this location several times before about the same thing!Do not trust your stuff is safe in there!!I thought it would be more safe on the inside but I see I was wrong and will never use a storage facility again especially not this one for sure!!

The mice had a field day in my unit for the 7 months I was there. And you would think because I was next door to a vegan catering company i would have been informed of it and offered to move units NOPE NOT THE CASE. I wasn’t informed that there was an issue with mice. Nothing was said to me until I said something to them then EVERYTHING came out. Naturally I had their insurance and it doesn’t cover rodent damage. A young lady came in the unit with me and took pictures, it was mice babies in the unit while she took pictures. NEVER AGAIN, and the staff has a turn around rate out of this world so nothing gets recorded you continue to talk to new people all the time. Save your money don’t waste your time, it’s not worth it in the long run. EVERYTHING HAD TO GO ON THE TRASH.

Don't believe the hype! My entire unit was infested with mice their urine and bowl-movement. I discovered this after visiting my unit to store some of my personal items. Based on the amount of visual mice-terds my unit had been invaded for at least several months before I discovered my mice infested unit. After confronting the manager on duty she told me that the infestation has been an on-going issue and the exterminator was just their treating the building. As I stood their gathering my thoughts it dawned on me that Cubesmart NEVER took the time to call the renters of the units who could be effected by this invasion. She put it off like it wasn't a big deal. I then ask her how we should move forward and all she could offer me was one free month of rent and another storage unit. Bless her heart. I then reached out to corporate and finally spoke to someone who could offer me some peace. I have moved from Cubesmart and will nevet support this franchise. To all the renters looking for a place to store, I would tell you to be wise looking for the perfect unit .

I reserved a locker on Friday night and went on the following morning only to find it was too small...the staff was very kind and was able to assist me another unit that better fit my needs the same day. They were very polite and prompt in helping me. I would recommend to a friend.

Let me first say that I was in desperate need of storage at 545 pm..I was delighted to know that they were open till 6pm and I could access my belongings till 10 pm..Tey Ana was very helpful in my time of need and even stayed later to assist me.. a couple weeks later I accidentally left my locker open. With the lock on and David called me to tell me..unfortunately I was out of town but he promptly locked the unit down for me..Thank u to everyone at cube smart service has been amazing!!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience today with Monique (the GM) at CubeSmart ... who knew picking out a storage unit and moving boxes could be such a good time? haha. Seriously, the facility was nice, clean, and very secure (my girlfriend liked that the most). The whole process was easy and quick, we did a walkthrough, shared some jokes, learned the process, paid for the first month and were gone! Check them out for some specials and get in there if you need some storage.

It's a shame that this establishment is limited to the 5 star rating. The staff at this location always greet you in a comforting manner. It might be by phone giving you a courteous call to remind you of payment or when you are visiting your unit and they greet you with a neighborly hello. Keep up the good work. I am always recommending this location to others who are in need of storage space.

I pay my bill at the Cube Smart every month, in person. The staff is always nice and friendly and accommodating. When I first got my unit there, I always asked someone to show me how to get to it (because I kept going the wrong way!!). They would always walk me to it. I really appreciated that! I actually had a reservation at another cubesmart location and came to this one by accident. However, they were so helpful and the facilities were very well kept, I decided to store my items here. Its been a great experience and the units are very nice. Its a smaller place so not too many are coming in and out of the building, and the location is very quiet. I look forward to continuing my relationship with this site and cubesmart.
