I rely on a safe and convenient spot in Boston to access reference and demos for my business during the day. This facility is well maintained, clean, and great support by the manager Alexis. He is always available to help answer questions and focused on good customer service. My needs often change a s my business grows, so being able to upgrade or change units is helpful. I was surprised to see negative reviews regarding management, as Alexis is professional and a good communicator.

I have had units in this storage facility for 6 years with perfect payment history. I was just charged $161 late fee for my credit card that was on auto payment expiring. Not to mention the rent during my time there has went from $314 monthly to $820. They do not care about good paying customers. I would definitely consider a different storage option if you have options.

I was not expecting the cleanliness and upkeep of this place! This storage facility was perfect for us. The pricing was great to begin and did increase after a few months, but in the end was still acceptable. The employees I had talked with during setup and viewing the unit were very nice and helpful. They have carts right by the entrance for easy transport. I would absolutely recommend this storage facility in the Seaport, we would not have ended our contract if we didn’t have to move!

This place is a joke. I had my storage unit for no more than 5 months before they jacked up my rate. I was paying $132 per month all-in before. Now they are making me pay $173 per month. Over a 30% increase for nothing. Don't bother with this place. I'm moving my stuff out soon.

The management - Alexis specifically, is the WORST I've ever seen in my 10+ years of using storage units for professional reasons. He was unfriendly, rude, did not communicate and was horrible with customer service. I will be telling everyone I know to AVOID Boston Seaport Self Storage as long as he is there.

Easy to book online and their customer service team is very friendly and helpful. Pricing could be more transparent though. You don’t see the actual net cost of rental until the final steps of booking. They add in lock charges, mandatory insurance, and other fees. Also, the 10x5 room I rented is actually 9x5. But overall, the experience was good.

Great first experience at Boston Seaport Self Storage; I was unsure of exact room requirements so booked something approximate online. Upon arriving on-site I met with Alex, the general manager, we discussed my needs and how I intended to use the space, he showed me a few options and we settled on something absolutely ideal. The facilities are far cleaner and more secure than other storage spaces I used previously, and the service I received from Alex was excellent. So far, so good.

Very clean except for field mice droppings :( . Well-lit, unit accessible when I needed it, temperature controlled so I didn't have to worry about humidity, dampness, mold. Very professional polite staff. I would recommend a trash receptacle for SMALL items, much like a waste basket. I appreciate providing receptacle for large items, packing materials etc. is not allowable. Nice to see the outside grounds cleared of overgrown bushes and trash. Nice neighborhood. Thank you.

Completely unreliable as a company. I took a locker with Cubesmart in Charlestown before leaving for a few months in Europe, and while away received notification that my locker had been terminated and I had a month to move my stuff. It turns out that they didn't own the facility/hadn't lined up any sort of grace period for their customers. I'm now on the hook for movers, and they're still trying to bill for overlapping time between lockers. Deal with a reliable local company.

I had an urgent need to change our storage unit setup. I came into the office to discuss options. I am so glad that Alexis Abreu was working. He is a fantastic manager. Cube Smart is a national company that has a solid reputation and all of the facilities are very clean, modern, and managed by highly competent staff. At the Seaport location, Alexis is a fantastic manager. He is a really nice person to speak with; he is professional, helpful, and conscientious and goes out of his way to provide excellent customer service. Self Storage is always clean and has good hours. Trolleys can hold a good amount and have always been available. The elevators are a bit sketchy and very noisy but seem to always get you where you are going. Beware though of hefty rate increases EVERY year!! Especially this year as there was a HUGE PRICE increase.

You can get in til 10 through a key pad which is very convenient. I signed up for my storage unit on the internet on a Friday afternoon after they were closed and was able to move my stuff in Friday evening. They send you an email with your PIN code and there's a lock waiting for you in your unit. Very clean and carts are available as well as an elevator. I recommend this place if you needed a place to store your stuff, quick and unexpectedly especially.

The price I paid for the space (smallest unit possible) was fair and payable. I did see, however, prices went up remarkably. Hope I will get a lower offer again, should I ever need a space again. I guess request drives the prices. Place is clean, staff friendly and renting/cancelation uncomplicated.

I have had two storage units at this facility since January 2018. The location is extremely clean and temperature controlled. While building a house, our belongings felt extremely secure here. The staff that is there currently is friendly and helpful. It is also well-lit so if you need to access the facility off hours, it is not scary or creepy :)

Boston Seaport Self Storage is the best storage facility in the Boston area! Clean and organized is an understatement. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable storage experience. They take security seriously so you know your stuff is in good hands. Jay, the store manager, takes customer service to the next level. He shook my hand and opened the door for me when I arrived. He showed me the unit I was interested in and then recommended another size based on what I was going to store which saved me money! He spends time going over the entire contract with you, and won't hesitate to answer any questions you might have. If you go in enough he even remembers your name! Can't say enough good things about Jay. Happy storing!

I can't recommend this place enough. Fantastic service, clean and convenient facility, and great prices. Who knew one could feel a little remorse for ending their use of a storage unit, but Jay's service was always great and welcoming (he knew my name from the start) so a part of me felt guilty when I no longer needed the storage unit!

Edit: I just upgraded my unit, at the suggestion of staff here. I got a unit twice the size of what I had, for less than twice the price. I was shown 3 separate units, and staff suggested the one I ended up getting because the price was only $4 month more than the other. Shout out to Alex and Jay for their professionalism, and their help. Found a deal online for this place, so decided to check it out. Spoke with the manager, Jazzul Holguin. Very pleasant man, very thoroughly advised me of everything. Cost, location, access and lobby hours. Rented the unit on the spot, and was only 2 places in to my search(out of 7) I would gladly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Boston Seaport Self Storage is a great storage facility! It is extremely clean and organized. The entire process of getting and moving into my storage unit was very quick and I did not run into any problems. Jay, the store manager, is very helpful and nice. He makes sure you like the unit before moving into it, goes over the entire contract with you, and provides you with all the information you need. Overall, I had a very easy process and would reccomend this place to anyone looking for storage! Plus, the rates are great!!!

I had a particularly stressful move and then a second move within two months. Jessica from this location is incredibly professional, worked with me to resolve some issues and was overall helped make a stressful situation much better. I'm not sure how she maintains her cool given that she's dealing with people who are dealing with what most agree is among the most stressful things in life. Thanks again to Jessica and to John who works there who is very helpful, friendly and courteous.

I recently moved from San Diego, Ca to Boston, Ma for college. I rented a Uhaul truck and an indoor storage unit at the Uhaul facility on Massachusetts ave in Boston. Once I arrived in Boston, I found out that they had rented my reserved storage unit to someone else by mistake and they didn't have any units available that would fit all of my stuff. After dealing with them for nearly 2 hours, they finally found a unit for me. I pulled the truck into the loading bay to start moving into the unit and accidentally locked the keys in the cab of the truck. I advised them and they were going to have someone help me. After another hour plus, one of the workers comes out and literally YELLS and CURSES at me for being so Fu......ng stupid for locking the keys inside and that I better call a locksmith to come and let me in. I told him that my phone was also in the cab and he told me to use my head........... And to go in the office and call one. So, I walked into the office, cancelled the unit and got out of there asap. I have never felt so disrespected. They are the rudest, most disrespectful people. No customer service at all. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST !!!!!!!! After leaving the facility, with nowhere to take all of my things, I went to the university and my guidance counselor told me to come to The Boston Seaport Self Storage. OMG !!!!! What a difference !!!!!!! From the moment I drove into the parking lot, the beautiful landscape, new, clean building, in a much better area. I was so put at ease. I entered the lobby and was politely greeted by Jessica and Alanna. They were so nice, so professional, so helpful. They spent time going over pricing and size options, walked me around the facility and showed me several units and helped me pick the perfect unit at a GREAT price. They went above and beyond to make sure that I got the unit that I needed, offered me a great monthly rate and made an already complex move, so much easier. They even took the time to help me locate a nice hotel in the area. WOW. Who does that ?!?! They made me feel so welcome and gave me a crash course on the area and the places to visit, eat, all that. Jessica and Alanna are definitely a true asset to this facility and this company. If you are in need of a truck rental, a clean, safe storage, all the moving and storage supplies that you need, with a pleasant, courteous staff, that are all about their customer service and satisfaction, then The Boston Seaport Self Storage is definitely the best place to go. The facility was beautiful and state-of-the-art! Very clean and well lit. We had to move our stuff in after business hours and the self-help kiosk was very easy to use. The music playing in the facility was a nice touch! Almost made moving fun :)

This review is for truck rental, NOT for self storage although the facility was in fantastic condition and I would definitely try them for storage based on my experience with them. I called frantically at 5:00pm the night before I needed a truck in the morning for a last-minute move. They were only there until 6:00pm and I could not make it. They had a truck that fit my needs and they were the closest place so I really wanted to work through them. Jim, who I believe is the manager, offered to come in early and rent me the truck the next morning 2 HOURS before they opened because he was going to be nearby anyways due to electrical work on the building. The actual rental experience was fast, convenient and the truck was in great condition. I've rented before through Penske at Home Depot in South Bay and their trucks are in worse condition even though they have lower miles. The truck came with a full tank so there was no, "Well you're at 5/8ths of a tank so you need to be there or we'll charge you!" Check in was easy, I just dropped off the keys and Jim emailed me the receipt. Jim is a stand-up guy, the service was fantastic and the experience was great all-around. Thanks Jim!

We unexpectedly needed a place to store our house contents because our new condo wasn't done by the time we had to move out. The guys at Boston Seaport Self Storage were fantastic and very accommodating. The facilities are brand new and there's easy access. The machine in the entry to open up a unit on your own is futuristic (all automated, scans your ID, spits out a code for access to the place and then spits out a lock). The place is brand new and spacious. And it's always been easy to get in and out. Great for people that live local in Southie and anywhere in the Boston area. Can't recommend this place enough!

Clean, convenient and helpful service. The manager Jim is a valuable resource for my business. I use my locker to operate my business from, accessing it nearly every day. The hours are convenient and the front conference room is invaluable for my book keeping sessions. Conference room has a computer, free wifi, Direct TV and wireless printer/copy/faxer! Awesome!
