I never write reviews, but the staff here went way above and beyond to help me. I unfortunately hired a really unprofessional moving company to move my stuff from DC to Cubesmart Boston. They showed up very late and understaffed and proceeded to be very rude to the staff working that night on top of everything else. I won't go into all the details about the moving company, but Somarha and Latoya were so kind and helpful to me. I could not have made it through that experience without them. When I called in to get some more information for my complaint against the moving company the manager Tara was also very helpful and kind. These people are just genuinely kind and take care of their customers. I hope that the corporate company recognizes what wonderful employees they have at this location.

May 2023: Professional, friendly people who are very helpful and informative. Well kept storage with a pleasant climate and easy to access during business hours. Sept. 2023: Great personable attentive customer service! An easy process from start to finish. I stored my stuff for 3 months between the spring and fall semester of school in Boston, residing 6 hours away in Philadelphia, and came back to an intact storage, with all of my things clean, just as I left them, no mold, no smell, and safely stored, despite being located in a somewhat gritty area. Your actual property in an industrial area, has a great location near many universities, so ideal, and it feels clean and safe despite a few homeless people wandering around. Friendly staff were available at the front desk for customer service at all times and in the actual storage areas helping during what is considered one of the busiest times of the year, back to school. I was able to close out my account punctually on Sept. 1st, and was sent a confirmation email. If I ever have to store my things again, I'll be back. Thank you so much for a good experience!

This particular storage site has no dumpsters for customers to utilize. My 67 year old mother went to reorganize and discard items in her storage unit. The goal was to downsize. After piling a push bin with items to discard we inquire where the dumpster was located. The store manager rudely states they don't have a dumpster for costumers. We were told we had to take our items with us. We were not driving so taking the items with us was not an option. Nor was placing those items back in the unit that we spent two hours separating. I had to walk across the street to UHaul and ask if I could discard items in their on-site dumpster which they graciously appeased. My 67 year old mother and I had to walk across Mass Ave with a large push bin to discard the items. The manager at cube smart was only concerned if we returned his cart. Uhaul has dumpsters, public storage has dumpsters, and many other storage facilities. The amount of money charged for the units they could at least accommodate with a dumpster outside in case costumers need to discard items from their storage unit. Add a dumpster for costumers

We rented a unit here several months ago and we have moved stuff in and out several times. Our experience has always been so positive that we recently rented a second unit. The whole staff is very professional, very helpful, always courteous and cheerful. The facility is modern, well-lighted and convenient, with a uhaul across the street. Our highest recommendation!

Understanding that this has to be a challenging storage spot and customer service in the area must be a even more difficult to say the least you’d think Tara the manager (bahaha) would appreciate relatively normal (I think?) customer. Well I can attest she does not! What a terrible human experience it is dealing with her. Any positive review on here is definitely fake or her brothers sister auntie did them. You guys should list that daycare is available here too, who knew?! If the area isn’t enough of a hint Tara made it clear do not rent here. I didn’t!

Tara Bovell, is perhaps the worst Manager i've encountered in my time living at Boston. She was rude, mean and also discriminatory. I speak 3 languages and lived in different countries, and i have never encountered with someone asking me if "I can understand english, because we cannot assume" and then letting their staff yelled at my roommates and I multiple times telling us things like "Hurry up!" and "You are wasting your time doing it this way!" all of the staff, from Tara to the other two people working there were absolutely horrendous and mean. I had to call the Regional Manager because it was the most uncomfortable situation. If you can, avoid this place at all costs.

Extremely rude staff!! I was conducting a move with a family member across the country and the manager Tara was so rude to us. She was rude on each phone call and even at one point had the audacity to tell us she did not believe who we said we were and hung up on us. It was not your typical move as it was with an elderly woman and a family member across the country but there was no understanding of those circumstances even though it was communicated 4+ times. Completely do NOT recommend using this place. I also advise that the company train their managers to be courteous and helpful rather than the experience I had. Such a BAD experience.

Went here pretty last minute not knowing anything about renting storage. The manager Malcolm Johnson went through every piece of the process with me to make sure I knew what I was doing and I was comfortable with what I was paying for. Another employee Antonio Oliver took his time and showed me several units after I found something wrong with the first 2 (did I mention I'm very picky?). All in all although I was nervous about the location the 2 guys that helped me made me extremely comfortable to the point where I had no interest in renting any where else. I never leave reviews but they were so great I had to ask for their full names to leave one. Keep up the great customer service!!

we had scheduled for moving using SML and they showed up without a truck and we almost had a heart attack as we had to leave the country next day early in the morning . We called up Andy from cube smart and told him about the situation and he was very helpful and found us a truck at last minute and booked everything on our behalf . He also get the storage ready for unloading even before i arrived to make sure things can move faster for us . we can't express how thankful we were and i would say their service is excellent !!

I am impressed with the professional customer service at this CubeSmart on Mass. Ave in Boston, and the emphasis on security. I feel quite safe when there by myself. Recently I wanted to downsize my unit, they put me on a waiting list, I received a call within two days that the size I wanted was available. They had all my paperwork completed in a couple of minutes and sent it all to me after the fact electronically. Very efficient and friendly.

I don't really like this place,but I have things that are in storage that I need to get out they very expensive.I am adding to this review due to a phone call that I received today JANUARY 3,2019 stating that I have money that is still I was told that it is 6 days old. I just recently paid on my 2 storages,but was told that their was an increase. I was going to pay the difference but was told it would be waived one time only. Now I am being told on today that this is not the case. I had planned on getting my things out of storage by May 2019,but I hope to do it sooner.

Convenient location and the employees here are helpful and professional. Bryanna assisted me when I had to upgrade my storage unit and everything was simple and quick, unlike when I went through the process about a year ago and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Unfortunately the place isn't in a good area at all, I think Marty Walsh is secretly trying to create a Zombie army based in the Boston Medical Center vicinity to send out on the streets of Boston to terrorize the citizens. I suspect they're spliced with Gremlin DNA because everytime it rains there seem to be about 25 more added to the collective the Boston police are always herding between highway ramps and Roundtree motel.

Homeless and addicts flood the basement floor. They OD all the time here, and the company does nothing about it. They change the time of access for the storage units, did not send out an email or contact their customers to inform them. The customer service staff and managers are rude, impolite and lack basic people skills. They are not helpful and trigger instead of de-escalate their customer issues. They put an extra lock on your unit when it is however many days late in payment- even if you were not able to access your unit or the office to cancel your contract and remove your belongings before the month was up!! And then force you to pay late fees for a mistake/lack of communication on their behalf! They are disgusting. I wish i never rented here. Several breaches in contract, they are a HORRIBLE company.

I have a unit rented at the Cube Smart on Mass Ave for 275 dollars a month! One day I go there to remove some furniture and notice that my queen size pillow top, and two twin mattresses were filled with rodent dropping’s, I had to throw them away! I was there yesterday 7-11-18 and there were 10 homeless people living in their units just on one floor, there was human feces on the stairs, urine soaked floor. Some of the boxes I removed from the unit smell like they have been stored in a chain smokers house! Now the store manager and district manager are refusing to pay for my damaged mattresses! The district manager is also giving me a hassle to reimburse me money! People who are looking for a storage unit I will advise not to rent from here rent from the Uhaul across the street.

I especially want to commend the Cube Smart staff at the Mass Ave location in Boston for continued service and support I have received from Michael and Brianna over the past 10 months. I rented the space in October 2017 with the assistance of Michael who had just moved to this location. I went overseas for a long period of time and sometimes had difficulty submitting my payment in a timely matter but with the cooperation and efficiency of these two my matters where always handled efficiently. If cubesmart gas employees like Michael and Brianna in all there locations, this company is A1 in my book and will continue to prosper. Thank You for your service.

I recently made a reservation here, I ended up picking another CubeSmart closer to me but I just needed to write a review because the sweetest girl (Bryanna) called to confirm the reservation with me. First off she was so quick to give me a call. I had so many questions and she answered all of them for me. Because I decided to pick a location closer, she made sure to call the other location to let them know I was on my way. She was so helpful if you ever need anything at the Mass Ave location make sure to talk to Bryanna!

My husband & I resently went to this facility. I was going to take my business elsewhere (due to another employee (Ivian) but he was let go...?????? THANK GOD) until we met Mickel Sterling who later helped me. He made the rest of our time soooo pleasent. He answered all of our questions to the best of his knowledge. He showed us as many storages as needed. I mean Mr. Sterling was really wonderful. He went above & beyond to help us. I wish that their was more employees' like him. My business used CubeSmart for two months while we moved offices, and they are excellent. They worked with me and let us use their moving truck to move in, our items were safe and when we moved out, they took care of everything and even emailed the final receipts! Emanuel and Gloribi, the two CubeSmart employees we worked with, were helpful and professional and I would be happy to use the services of the company again anytime.
