Great location to store your stuff, especially short-term storage since they have a first-month free policy. But I'd say if I ever need long-term storage I would probably still consider them, since it's secure and you can access it almost any time.

Seamless experience! Only used it for a month while between apartments, and it was super easy to cancel once I finished. BYO lock or buy one on site. I used the smallest unit and it fit all my stuff great (im an artist with a lot of knick knacks). The facilities are clean and temperature controlled and they have a great system for loading and unloading. Plus, the people are super nice. Shout out Holly and Kristen

Holly at the store and her manager Kristen were absolutely rude and unprofessional. Holly made a mistake that costed me $40 and rather than apologizing gave me an attitude. On the phone, she did not mention a document that I had to bring to the store to finalize my contract. The website also does not mention it. It is an important document that nobody carries around. She would not accept a photo of it either (which I’ve used for all legal contracts before). I paid $40 Uber to get there and had to leave empty-handed and when I was trying to politely explain to both Holly and Kristen that they should have told me beforehand (or specify it in their website) because it is an uncommon requisite they were defensive and treated me like it was my fault or that I did not understand that it’s their right to have arbitrary policies (that no other storage company had!). All I wanted was for Holly to say “I am sorry, this was my mistake”. I would have quietly gone back home, grabbed my document, paid other $40 of Uber and come back to sign my lease. Her pride made Cubesmart lose a client. She was also rude and insulting to my husband on the phone and after he suggested that they change the wording of the website as to reflect what they truly need she decided to cancel our reservation (without our consent!). She would rather lose a paying client than take feedback and improve. This is not the way to treat anybody, let alone potential customers. We went with Extra Space Storage which has clear and reasonable policies.

Forget U-haul, get Cube Smart! Their customer service was very helpful at getting us a unit that would fit our needs. Reservation was quickly completed online. The check in and check out experience was super smooth and fast. The mobile app made visiting the unit easier. The availability of dollys at the site made moving in and out easier. The staff at the Medford site was nice, helpful, attentive, and available. We had a completely negative experience with uhaul and only regret not finding CubeSmart earlier.

Do not rent a storage unit from this company. The monthly cost seemed reasonable when I first signed up, but they raised it by 40% over the course of a year. They know it's difficult and costly to move to a new unit, so they take advantage of that to jack up the rate.

Just signed up for a storage space and couldn't be more pleased with all the great customer service. Kristin, the store manager, was so helpful. She gave me a great tour and made sure that I was happy with the size of my space and jumped right in to help when I had a problem registering on line. I didn't have to waste anytime dealing with it, she just called we back when it was resolved. I'm looking forward to a stress free move-in process.

Cube Smart employees went over and beyond the call of duty I had lost my lock and was running late so I just shut my unit and the store manager had put their lock on my unit so that it would stay locked and later on the lady the stores manager found my lock down the hallway and called my phone and left me messages and I was very thankful for what they did n they did a superb job and I've been with them for about a year now and I highly recommend them!

The storage facility is air-conditioned, has moving carts, an elevator, and accessible loading docks. It’s very clean. Some of the lighting was not working, which is pretty important, as there are no lights inside the units. My only real complaint is that I was not told by Kristen in the office when I booked the unit that there was a column running right through the center of it, and there was no other unit available when I arrived so I had no choice but to take it. This made the unit less accessible, and also the column had fire retardant on it so that every time you brushed against it you got the fire retardant on your clothing. This was a real negative, and if I had had a choice, I would not have taken it. Otherwise, it worked out fine for my needs. Ask before you reserve!

Self storage is self storage. They are all the same with basically similar services. The differentiation is probably the customer service and price. The customer service at Cubesmart in Commercial Street is excellent since the office manager lives on site. However, nothing really can substitute price. I went in with a great rate but after a year the prince uncreased which is ok I suppose. Then maybe 6 months later, another increase. Then about 3-4 months later another increase. In the end $900 to rent 3 units. So I called to see if they could lower the price. No can do. I talked to the office manager. She said the I was still paying less that the regular going rate for each unit. Uh. If I move out, they will offer the unit up with the same discounts I had before to entice another person to rent. So wouldn't it be easier to keep me as a customer?? Nope. So I moved out to Public Storage. At Cubesmart, I had 3 units. At Public Storage I rented a 10x30 for around $363 move in with the second month free. The $410 afterwards. That's a huge discount. I feel like Cubesmart could have done better than a lukewarm "can't help you" and "you are still below market rate.". Maybe a multi unit discount? Not sure. In the end, price matters and Cubesmart proved to this customer that they don't care. I will say that the onsite manager is awesome!!! And I really hated leaving her!

The two woman in store front are excellent and should be commended. My only complaint is overcharging for lock that is supplied by you...taking advantage of a captive audience!...its frown upon and might be a good way to get extra $$ but business wise does not look good for CubeSmart.

If you see only 5 stars at the top, thats the maxiumum per google. I wish i could rate this review with 10 golden stars. It happened for me to close the space with Cubesmart Medford last week due to relocation. Rather than moving off my stuff i was more worried to miss a beautiful human Suzanne Tower.Her service is the only reason i continued using Cubesmart even after change in the price. She is a down to earth person. In this Northern Hemisphere, i have seen people who's tone and intonation gets changed once the contract has been signed, but in Medford Cubesmart Suzanne ensure's everything is good and we are completely satisfied and explains every part of the bill and what the charges are for. Also i felt like my belongings are safe not because of the secured space, its because of Suzanne tower's customer handling & humanity skills. She is very unique and rare, only few of them like Suzanne are left out in this competitive world. I had rented a car parking space as well, during the blizzard the car cover blew off. She had taken care of the car cover safely for 7 months and ensured i get it back. I would say Cubesmart is lucky to have her part of them. She should get a steep raise along with 401k plan and you have to make her sit in the corporate office and train the new staffs. So that there can be multiple Suzanne Tower in every Cubesmart location. If someone asks me for a referral, who is genuine, polite, down to earth, a true human, customer friendly person my first preference goes to Suzanne Tower. I can vouch for her. In the new city that am going, i will definitely rent a Cubesmart because of the great experience, but its affirmative that i can find someone like Suzanne to help me out. Lets see how it goes!

I wanted to take a minute to say how pleased I have been with the service at this Medford location....Specifically Suzanne Towers. My boyfriend and I had searched several other storage companies and were very disappointed, to say the least. The customer service we received at Uhaul near my house was pitiful and unprofessional and we had just about given up when we came across this Medford Cubesmart location. My boyfriend called me to say he had met Suzanne and she was a breath of fresh air so we signed up immediately. When I went in to meet her agreed with him 100%. She was,and is, always so upbeat and helpful. I called when our first payment was due and she knew who we were without explaining. She happily greeted me and asked how my boyfriend was doing by name. She remembered everything about us and our struggle to find quality storage. I believe people should be recognized for both big and little gestures/accomplishments. Suzanne has a professional and pleasant way about her and this actually made it a little easier to write that rental check today. Bravo to this location for recognizing what an asset it is to have someone like her working the office. I will definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for storage and believe me, the pickings are slim out there.

I reserved the storage online the first time in my life. There is no hidden price first of all. You should read all lines. There are storage space price, application fee and also insurance (3 options). These inf are not only from online site but also from phone call of the next day I reserved it. Zusana (I’m not sure I spelled her name right, sorry if I’m not), since I never met her personally. She called me twice. First call was to confirm and explained what I was expecting to pay (very clear). She is very friendly and professional. She could answer all questions and not only that she’s very honest. She told me, there would be some pole inside the space. She said if I’m not happy with that (on the 1st floor I reserved), she will show me the other option which is on 4th floor (surely its a little cheaper). The second call, the purpose of calling was she forgot to mention about the lock. She is again clearly mentioned if I don’t have it, they do sell at site and it costs $17. Thanks Zusana again coz if she didn’t tell me, I would pay extra money without realizing it. On the day I went to take a space and did all application form. There was Cristina on site. She is also sweet, help out and being professional. She explained all every details up front for any extra charges if I don’t following the rule. I like that. She also helped me about the sizes of boxes I bought on site. What size is good for what. Very helpful. Thanks again. My first experience renting the storage went not only smooth but very well with all both of them helping out. I got a very good impression for CubeSmart. I searched for different companies before I made decision for CubeSmart. I just wrote this review to confirm what others’ experiences were very real. Thank you so much for doing a great job. So far so good, the process of reserving the unit was smooth, Suzanne was really nice and helpful, the unit looks clean, and moving in was a breeze. A little pricier than other options, requires insurance $12/mo min for 2k in coverage which doesn't cover water damage which is likely the only reason you'd need it, but other than that so far so good!

After looking at a few different storage facilities, I picked CubeSmart. The reviews online said the staff was really good and helpful. Given the last storage facility I worked with (very little staffing, rude, etc.), service was important to me. The reviews of CubeSmart were 100% correct. The staff members I talked to (and I ended up talking to all of them over a several day period as I had to arrange shipping from previous location), were amazing. They were all really patient, professional, kind, and friendly. I am so glad I choose CubeSmart.

Went there to pick up some things, ate Wendy’s on the way to the place , seen a dumpster there so figured I could throw my Wendy’s trash away , drove my car to where the dumpster was the manager was outside fixing a fence , im waiting to use the dumpster because 2 other people are using it , the manager comes over to me and tells me I cannot park in the parking lot of cubesmart , it’s for paying clients only , I tell her I’m here to pick some stuff up I have a unit , she tells me I cannot use the dumpster it’s for corporate clients only , I say I’m throwing away a Wendy’s bag she tells me I cannot , so I take my trash and go to my unit , no where in the lease does it say only corporate clients are allowed to use the dumpster , I called 3 diff stores and they all tell me it’s up to the managers who can use it or not , so if I don’t know the rules , and they were not givin to me why did the manager come at me with an attitude ?? So I took all my stuff out of that cubesmart and got another one didn’t feel comfortable with the manager talking to me like I did something wrong if she cannot tell paying clients that have never been late , they way I was treated was uncalled for and what was the reason two Caucasian client can use the dumpster to throw away big items but a Wendy’s bag is a problem I wonder why

I often rent a storage in this location, primarily for convenience. And I do get good customer service. Generally the Manager and staff are friendly and helpful. The company policy on late fee is stiff and brutal. Beware. Employees try to help by giving customers reminder calls. In my most recent experience during signing-up Suzanne was very helpful, personable and it happens I lucked as a promotion was going as well. I am happy.

I recently visited Cubesmart @ 55 Commercial st, Malden. Suzane Tomar the store manager welcomed me with a great enthusiasm. She collected my requirements and helped me to find a right spot for the storage. Suzane Tomar is very polite and courteous, when i was waiting for my turn it had happened for me to see the way she handle other customer in a polite & respect way. I had requested for vehicle storage and i didn't heard back for a week. And Yesterday she left a voice mail to let me know the vehicle storage is available!!! She is kind of unique & GEM of person i have ever met. I would do business with Cubesmart again, only because of people like Suzanne Tomar.

Overall great experience. The service I received from Andrew and Kristin was friendly, helpful, and fast. The facility at 55 Commercial St, Medford was clean and well kept. I also got a good deal on the unit that I wanted by reserving online, which was very helpful since I'm in the middle of moving.

I was provided with the best customer service experience by Kristen and Mike. When I first came in to confirmation my reservation, Kristen made sure to make my experience a pleasant one. She walked me through the entire process and made sure to show me a few different options to fit my needs. She was able to explain everything in plain English and made sure I was all set. This is a great location with very good prices and to have a great team on top of that is awesome. I would totally recommend it to anyone that is looking for a storage facility.

We had the pleasure of working with Tommy and Kristen over a month period while arranging a shipment from CA. Both were terrific to work with and they made the process easy. I am very pleased with the storage unit thus far, of course, it is only our first day here. The Climate Controlled environment and on-site management was a big factor in our decision to choose Cubesmart.

To be honestly it's where my storage unit is at. It's best storage with climate control and insurance cover. 24 hr security system. Its worry free storage With codes to enter.

This facility is very well kept. The staff is phenomenal and caring. @Wendy is amazing at what she does. She goes above and beyond in what she does and the facility reflects this. She gave warm hellos to some of the existing customers as we did our tour. It feels almost like a warm family residence! You will love it here.

We have had a storage unit here for almost 3 years. It is not the closest place to our house, but we chose it based on it's cleanliness and the clear care and concern that the management shows for their customers. That was made even more clear a few weeks ago. I made a quick retrieval before heading for vacation and forgot to secure the door and lock properly. They noticed, called me and were willing to replace the lock for a small, reasonable fee, and let me pick up the replacement keys upon my return.

I've had a unit here for about a year, and it's been a great experience. Wendy helped me upgrade to a bigger unit recently and was extremely helpful, friendly, and considerate. The facility is very clean and well run by the staff/management. Highly recommended!

This place is great. Convenient and tidy and air conditioned (yay!) The pull-up garage doors, huge elevators and rolling trolleys make moving stuff in and out really easy. And the desk staff are so kind and helpful.

This CubeSmart is reasonably priced, well lit, clean, and the staff has exceptional customer service. I worked with both Wendy and Kristen over the phone after I made my on-line reservation. I was running late the day prior to my move-in date and Wendy was amazingly accommodating. I was so late that I couldn't make it to the office that day, but when I arrived the following day, Wendy and Kristen quickly worked on getting me set up with my storage unit. The movers were in and out in no time. Wendy and Kristen took the stress out of my move.

I reserved a 5 feet by 5 feet storage unit online. When I arrived and was shown the actual unit, it was less than 4.5 by 3.5 feet. If I hadn't been paying attention and had the time to seek alternatives the store would have happily ripped me off. However the response to my complaint was handled very well and I ended up with a properly sized unit, so overall a very mixed experience. Be careful and bring a tape measure.

The service that I received at this location was beyond exceptional. I had a senior citizen with me and the manager went above and beyond all expectations to accommodate us. She is by far the best storage manager that I have ever dealt with and I have been to dozens of storage facilities and all over the state. Thank you for such a positive experience.

Didn't get a name when I called in, but had a very, very helpful (and cheerful!) employee answer all my questions and set up an appointment to check out the space. Very happy with them, renting for several months this summer - will leave a follow-up review after! EDIT: summer storage worked out well, no issues or complaints. Will be renting again this summer :)

I had a fantastic experience at this location at 55 commercial street , Medford , MA Joe Tello was extremely helpful, he has a nice personality and trying to make things look very easy. He did not look overwhelmed which made me more comfortable to rent a storage at this location. It is climate controlled, easy to get in and out, very nice and well maintained facility

Had a good experience overall. Came in and their internet was down which was a bit inconvenient as I couldn't immediately access my new storage unit. The problem was fixed quickly, however, so I only ended up having to wait an extra fifteen or so minutes. The manager there, Joe, was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were well maintained and it was pretty easy to move a lot of stuff to a fourth floor storage unit.

Customer service is ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING. Kristen, the General Manager was super helpful and professional. The place is very clean, there are lots of choices and they are very accommodating to people's needs. The paperwork (reservation, confirmation, follow-up, lease, insurance, billing, etc.) is very speedy and almost everything is electronic, talk about convenience! In the initial survey, I mentioned that the main reason for us to choose this place was the location. But next time the main reason will definitely be customer service. Value and quality are also unmatched. If you don't live in Medford, it's worth driving an extra mile or two instead of going to your local place. You won't regret it.
