Realistic review here : 3.5 yrs of keeping my wife’s furniture and storage bins in this supposedly climate controlled facility has finally come to a end . If you like rats, mice , feces , strung out drug addicts lingering , non existing AC in summer and a 50 degree reading indoors in winter — THIS IS YOUR PLACE . Rate increases with out justification. Every 6 -9 months . Speaking with the manager of the month - is a waste of time over this time frame of 3.5 yrs. Not once were we given adequate notice to why there was an increase in rates . Just because . Capitalism and greed . If you have little regard for your safety while managers do nothing as we had voiced concerns many times over the years, this is your place. Show up after dark and see people lingering , syringes outside the gate were found at one visit . Not joking . Wife refused to go there at night to retrieve items . Par for the course apparently . Even a visit during day time Hours with addicts shooting up while my wife and daughter went in to try and retrieve items- This was 1.5 yrs ago - we complained . My wife left that day. It’s not a place to be period . Why did we stay ? Circumstances dictated we keep everything in one spot . Should have spent the $850 to move her stuff sooner . In hindsight sight we should have just moved. Don’t make the mistake we did and leave your stuff here . Our dresser was trashed with furniture pads chewed with pee stains and droppings . So when the CUBE owner reply comes on here to mitigate a poor review and directs me to the manager of the month, spare me the lip service - you fail to provide a good service for your customers . Period. It’s a crap hole old factory building converted to storage . End of story . If you want your stuff to stay vermin free , climate controlled - go elsewhere

We decided to reduce our storage space. Staff came to observe and evaluate to make sure it would work and found a smaller space 30 ft away. We were later called to remind us that out billing cycle in one week. We moved and received a per-diem refund for the old space. It was a very positive experience.

They will continue to slowly raise the rent on you. They will not fix issues like a strobing light making it impossible to spend time looking for things in your storage. I found a dead rat. They will not prorate your money if you close your unit at the beginning of a month and have already paid for the whole month.

Clean, safe and friendly but they raised the rent on my unit $200/MONTH!!! (From $168 - $355 per month) in the 3 years we were there. They would have raised it even more if I didn't haggle with them after they initially stared bumping the price up. If had the forethought to understand how much it was going to cost me to keep my belongings in CubeSmart Storage, i would have just given it all away and bought new stuff when we needed it again. It would have been cheaper and we would haven nicer stuff.

Personnel are great. Facility is acceptably clean but lighting on floor 3 remains poor and it is clear that water intrusion remains a problem. Between that and the smell of mildew, its no wonder the place is only half full.

Wow this place started out cheap and it's jumped from 117 a month to 178 a month, with nearly no excuse as to why things are missing crushed boxes with ruined items dead mice, flying bats and dead bats but aside from two nice workers there, I think if your thinking about cube smart, be smart and check things out and get insurance for sure

Elevators don't work. No arrows showing which numbered units are where. So you spend forever walking around to find your unit. Had a unit for less than a week and they won't refund me. CRAZY!!!!

Beth was fantastic. She took the time to take me on a tour of the facility, explained everything of how to get in and how to get out. She brought me outside made sure I could get in with my code and was just fantastic to deal with. She explained everything about the billing to being setting up automatic payments. The only complaint I would have is the lack of 24/7 access.. but it’s understandable why they do not offer. This site in New Bedford on Cove st/rd.. is very clean well organized along with the staff being very accommodating and helpful. I suggest asking Beth if you need you need anything to explained or more than the regular… as she has been the one who’s always been willing to take the time and assist me. Anything from tracking down the bolt cutters to cut the lock while staying an extra 10 -20 mins past her shift to assist me …to explaining and removing someone from my list of people who could gain access … Beth has responded and or shown up patiently to listen to my issue and held out a helping hand to assist me in promptly resolving that issue. Her willingness to stay for me while I was running late, ( which she did not have to do ) meaning I wouldn’t have had access to my unit and therefore my weekend ruined….. was greatly appreciated !! Definitely would recommend ?? -Nikki

I called to talk to the store manager and I got hung up on 3 times today. Even though they are one of the cheapest storage options out there, it is honestly making me reconsider renting a storage unit from them. I got hung up on by Jean the second time I called and asked to speak with Beth. I am not happy with their customer service at all right now and I plan on calling the corporate office on this place soon.

Took 5 minutes to register online. Clean professional storage units. flatbed carts for your convenience, there were three of them. All the entry is with a keypad and your unit lock is a mechanical padlock(supplied). Easiest rental you will ever find. A bit pricy but where isn't nowadays. A+++

What a great place to stay. Loved the room, felt like I was in my own Studio Apartment. Would stay there again. The staff was awesome. I don't know what happened but this review was for a hotel that I stayed at. As far as Store Space Storage. I have had a lot of storage spaces and this company beats them all. The price is perfect, the spaces are large, the building is always maintained and very clean. Kendra is by far one of the best Managers that I have dealt with, helpful, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond.

This place has terrible customer service. I don't know how they can have any good reviews. Sure, when you are looking to get a unit they are helpful. You can pay online. But any sort of problem and they are useless. I have been calling and emailing for six months and no one has returned my calls or emails. I had one person return a call twice that I missed and I tried to call back and there is always a voicemail. I have never once been able to call and talk to a live person. Every time I try and use chat they tell me to call. I can't wait to find another storage company. EDIT: I have upped my rating from 1 star to 3 stars just based on the fantastic support I received from Ryan. He really helped me out after months of dealing with incredible incompetence. 6 stars for Ryan. There is an app and you can pay online. There is chat support.

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the facility, and even more pleased with the service this young man provided. I just started utilizing the space today.
