Customer service was awesome. The manager of the Stoneham facility exceeded expectations and went over and above her duties. She was very transparent about policies and genuinely helpful. She had the whole rental process done in a very timely manner. The facilities itself is very clean and well kept. It's easy to navigate and with the mobile app makes it even easier to enter and use elevator. Most importantly for me as a woman I felt very safe being alone when there which makes a huge difference. Definitely recommend!!

Andrew was an incredible helper for us. After our truck got stranded in front of my daughter's dorm he made sure that he did everything in his power to get us the help we needed to get the truck to the storage unit. We waited for around 6 hours until the tow truck final arrived and Andrew communicated to us the whereabouts of the tow truck about every hour until it arrived. He persisted for them to get there as fast as possible and voiced his apologies for the wait----even though it was not his fault. Overall, a great experience! Thank you, Andrew

Jeff, the manager of the facility spent considerable time explaining our options and showing us various sized units and the prices of each. He also discussed special pricing incentives being offered. He explained the use of the keys, the use of the security codes to gain entrance to the facility and the elevator, and location of rest rooms. My wife and I were so happy with the cleanliness of the entire facility.

I've had a storage locker at CubeSmart Stoneham for over 10 continuous years, and am very familiar with the facility. Looks like there has been a change in management recently, I'm there frequently and there is rarely anyone in the office, the interior corridors have: trash, spilled coffee, black scuffed walls, digital exit sign hanging from ceiling, same trash in elevator for days now.

So far, so good. The facility is very clean and appears to be very secure. I like the 24/7 surveillance cameras and that each customer must enter their personal code to gain access the facility. Very convenient to have the moving carts and truck available. Jeff has been great. He’s professional, clear and articulate. He’s been super helpful so moving in has been very smooth. Advertises free truck use but requires payment and only available during business hours even though facility is open until 10 pm. CubeSmart Stoneham is simply the finest storage facility I have ever encountered. And I've encountered quite a few. Holly and Christine are magic. They keep the facility pristine. They are all so wonderful, friendly people who go out of their way to be helpful to the clients. And not just for appearances. I came in to rent a space recently in an emergency 20 minutes before closing the day before Thanksgiving. Holly took care of everything for me instantly so I could begin moving in immediately. She managed to find me a space with the dimensions I needed, on the floor I wanted, and even in the section of the building I requested. This took some doing, but Holly made it happen. These ladies take customer service very seriously. I have never had a bad experience here in 3 years. The great experiences are too numerous to count.

This is a follow-up to my earlier review where I described an incident where an error by Cubesmart led to me incurring a substantial expense. Cubesmart replied with a message inviting me to get in touch with them. I did, twice, and they never responded. There are a lot of storage companies in the Boston area. Cubesmart Stoneham is a great facility - it's new, very clean and well kept, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The district manager Holly checked us in, she was great, and so was Christine, who was whom we interacted with every other time and checked me out at vacating. Even though we were "just storing stuff" there, Christine made it a very human experience. I would definitely recommend Cubesmart Stoneham to anyone in need of storage space in the area.

We have had a wonderful experience at CubeSmart so far. The customer service has the feel of a small, family-owned business and the facility is state of the art. Both Christine and Holly have been incredibly helpful and have gone above and beyond to help us with our move in-- they greet us and our kids by name every time we stop by. The facility is amazing-- it's clean and feels very secure. We've had a great experience so far.

Pros: + the facility itself is really great and clean + there is easy elevator access directly from the parking lot + there are 4 carts available for use Cons: - the check in process took !!!!!!FOREVER!!!!!! this could have easily been speed up 10x by doing most of it online before you even show up - the phone service was TERRIBLE and I barely had a single bar on 4G for AT&T - no WiFi throughout any part of the facility, not even the lobby

My friend reccommended this place. My first concern was mildew and stinky air. She assured me that didn't happen. I saw this place was very clean, very well organized. Holly Carver, the manager, was thorough and answered every concern I had. It is secure, conveniently located near me, easy to get to in a few minutes. The bonus was also that I could use the truck for a mere $10. I am glad to have found this place and see why my friend so highly recommended it.

My experience with Cubesmart was disappointing. They mistakenly locked me out of my storage unit the day I was due to move out. As a result I had to pay the movers while waiting to gain access to the building and was out of pocket by a substantial amount. I called Cubesmart's out of hours number to try and gain access to the building but only got a voicemail. Cubesmart has refused to take responsibility for their error. Prospective customers should also be aware, as other reviewers have pointed out here, that CubeSmart will raise your rates quite steeply once you've moved in. Between November 2017 and December 2018 they put up my rates by 39%, which is what prompted my decision to move out. Update: You'll see in their response below that Cubesmart asked me to contact them to look into this matter. I did. They never replied.

The agent was very efficient, helpful, friendly and professional in helping us to change our storage locker from a large one to a much smaller one. She patiently and clearly explained the process. She helped us to determine the size that would be best for us by first looking at our current locker's contents to estimate our needs. She DID NOT try to up-sell a locker larger than we required.

It's a very clean and well-run facility. When we wanted to downsize Holly and Christine played a large role in helping us. They were able to estimate how much space we could fit into, and, they made it possible for us to carry over the balance of the payment for the larger locker to apply to the smaller locker. They really couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They even offer bottles of water. The office has free coffee too.

Rates start low, but go up very quickly. Entire building is climate controlled. Security code needed to enter the building and to access the elevator to your own floor. Staff has been helpful when assistance was needed.

I am a previous cube smart Tewkesbury MA customer, I loved them so much I recommended my mother use the location close to her when she sold her home, so today upon my arrival at the Stoneham location, woman was helping me ... her co worker walked through the door ... and she says i f'ing hate her ... really ... then these 2 other appaling women walk in and start barking out fees and locks and insurance, telling us our rates can go up at any time with no notice , my family and I are 100% discusted with there appearance, attitude, body, and foul language... if my truck was not loaded and here with the help I needed to move I would turn around and go someplace elese.... needless to say we will not store here longer than 30 days .... so dissapointed

All the staff there are excellent (and have angelic patience for some of the most obnoxious customers I've ever had the pleasure of overhearing). They know everything about their business, are up front and transparent about process & costs, and are exceptionally helpful. The facilities are very clean, and there are always more than enough large hand carts available. A small box truck that drives like a van and fits down all the tiny Boston/Cambridge/Somerville roads is available for a very small fee, and is in excellent condition. I waited to write this review until I had finished my storage rental, just in case closing everything out had obstacles, but just as with everything else here, the staff were very straightforward and made it easy. No gimmicks here. I couldn't have been happier with my experience with CubeSmart. It absolutely exceeded my expectations.

The managers (Holly and Barbara) made my move so easy -- with short notice and after 30 years in the same place, I had tons to store and misjudged the space I'd need -- they instantly accommodated me with a second unit, allowing me to complete my move as scheduled. The facility is clean, bright (just a couple years old), secure -- I feel my things are safe and so am I when I'm there straightening things out. I do definitely recommend CubeSmart, and already have! A close friend has had her storage in a dusty, dark storage place which is just too creepy and unsafe, and she's having everything moved to CubeSmart ASAP.

The Stoneham location turned out to be ideal, and with Holly's help, we were up and running within 15 minutes and managed to get our whole move done by noon. Great location and better people!

Our daughter goes to Tufts and we needed space to store her things over the summer. Holly - the general manager - was terrific, having the paperwork ready to go upon our arrival and we breezed through that process. She thoroughly educated us on the facility, its security and codes, and we were gone in less than a half hour. The building is clean, new and climate controlled. The staff has been most friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and in very nice shape. Access and loading in is very smooth and easy and the access hours are reasonable. Night owls might prefer later than 10 pm for a stopping time, but that is a minor nit, all things considered.

My size request was not available when I got to the desk but she was able to accommodate me with the size unit I needed before I left.
