Claims to allow you to begin a rental online, but does not leave your unit unlocked. Claims the office is staffed monday to friday, but nobody is in the middle of the day. I just paid $170 dollars for absolutely nothing. I guess I have to call corporate now.

It is funny how CubeSmart responds to my review saying they want me to contact them to 'look into it'. When literally they can just go to the facility and see the burnt out lights, the broken soap dispenser, how dirty things are, and look at their own employee timesheets to know when someone is working there or not. I have added some pictures since CubeSmart seems to need help in finding these issues in their own facility. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I first rented over a year ago and am in the process of moving to another facility. When I first moved in there were these 2 great ladies, Kathleen and Carol. They were always so helpful and kept the facility so clean. The situation today: they only have one site manager who is not there a lot of the time. The place is getting dirtier. There was a power surge LAST SUMMER and a lot of the lights have yet to be fixed. The light outside my unit does not work so the inside was extra dark. They have rodents inside the ceiling which I have heard on multiple evenings. The bathroom soap dispenser broke off the wall and hasn't been fixed in 2 months. Light bulbs in the elevator have been burned out for at least 4-6 months. The main access gate was broken and stuck open for weeks a couple months ago. The place has a severe mosquito problem because they are attracted to all the lights at night. The paper towels to dry your hands have been empty for weeks. The trash can was changed to a much smaller one months ago that is always overflowing. But not so much recently due to there being no paper towels to dry your hands. The manager Anthony has been pleasant when I have been able to see him, but clearly they need 2 full time staff and he is being sent to multiple locations. To top it all off I just got a notice of a rate increase. Which seems weird considering I see tons of available units when I'm walking to mine. It would not take much to bring this facility back to what it was a year ago. But clearly CubeSmart doesn't want to staff it appropriately.

My rate just jumped from $456 per month to $562 in one month!!!! Whaaat? This is close to what I was paying at Extra Space storage on VFW Pkwy for twice the size. I also agree about the bathroom. No soap the last two times I've been there. Disgusting.

25% rate increase after 7 months. I opted to downsize. I waited 1.5 hrs for someone to show up during office hours to release a smaller unit. I was charged a rate higher than the reserved rate. After escalating the issue the next day I was given the promised rate and refunded the difference. They get one star for that, but lose it again for making me work for what was promised. While waiting the hour + for someone to show up, I found months worth of filth in the bathroom. It took staff five tries to program my elevator code leaving me stuck between floors with loads of stuff multiple times. She ended up giving me her code since she couldn't get it right. Oh yeah, and rodent traps throughout. The only reason they get two stars is because after multiple calls, I stumbled upon an out of state manager that was nice enough to help. Spare yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.

Terrible experience. They cancelled both of my reservations instead of one. When I requested to see the message confirmation. Anthony was not helpful and said it was our fault. The district manager was supposed to call us to resolve this problem, instead, they just randomly placed us in another unit. TERRIBLE SERVICE would not come back

Careful of these guys. I had an old card which failed payment, received a voicemail from them and updated it on the day the invoice was due. Got a voicemail today that payment was past due. They ran the card today and all good. Except they are charging a late fee…essentially because they re-ran the card late. They refused to remove the late fee. They’re unethical and cruel. Stay away. There are better options out there.

So far, so good. I just rented my storage space yesterday. This review may be premature, but I was impressed by the physical set up of the building and the code access security. The facility is very clean and parking is easy. The manager who took my application and processed me in was very helpful and knowledgeable and made the rental process easy. I expect this storage space to work very well for me, but I’ll be back on the review pages if anything changes. We all know that first impressions are not always final impressions.

CubeSmart was a great storage facility - well lit, clean, good access, friendly and knowledgeable staff BUT the one major caveat is the pricing strategy. Every six months the price increased and this was never disclosed in the contract I signed. The contract makes you believe that you will receive your initial monthly rate for a long time and if never mentions price increases every 6 months! Beware of this pricing strategy.

The service experience goes beyond the stars. Kathleen and all of their staff members are such great team players that makes me wanna apply to work with them. I recently had an incongruence issue with the rate on my new unit, and they were understanding and quick to resolve it, as usual. Great place that’s clean, temperature-controlled, and easy to use. You just need to come with ID although you should get a reservation and it will be a cakewalk. I was worried it was going to be hard but much simpler than previously expected. Kathleen was wonderful and went above and beyond. Five stars because you don't have five thousand.... I had a bad, bad afternoon. With a long list of things to do and a long way to go, my car broke down; the alternator went, and the only good thing about it is that I was parked at CubeSmart in Waltham. I lost all my key (including my keys for my storage) this past week, and I was at Cube Smart trying to figure out what to do about it. These great ladies there not only helped me to break my old padlock to get a new one, but they took care of me by calling AAA for me. They stay WITH ME all through it, and they were very worried the tow truck would not make it on time and that I would have to wait in the cold. Seriously... Kathleen, Keryl... I don't have enough words to let you know how much I appreciate you and what you did for me! Thanks!!!

I set up a reservation online and pretty soon I got a call and arranged to visit for a tour and to move-in. Keryl was fantastic taking me through my options, filling me in on the details of the facility, and the rules and regulations. The facility is brand new and very clean, I feel confident that this is a secure spot! Keryl helped me with everything I needed, I signed a lease, and now I'm freeing up all sorts of space at home. It used to be you could walk down this sidewalk and see beautiful trees and plants on one side of the street. Now you just see this ugly building filled with people's stuff. People have so much stuff nowadays that we have to pave paradise to put up a big box for all their stuff. It absolutely sickens me every time I have to walk past it. Somebody should burn this place to the ground if you ask me. If it's not important enough to keep in your living space, just give it to someone else or throw it away.

I have been renting at this CubeSmart location for eight months now. The building is nearly new, immaculately clean, well lit, and quiet. The hallways are carpeted, and rolling carts for move-in are always available. The staff, Kathleen and Joe, have gone out of their way to accommodate special requests for specific spaces or floors. (I'm now up to three units.) And they have carefully replied to my billing and insurance questions. An all-around great experience. My home away from home.

Joe was terrific as a manager, the facility is top notch, and pricing was reasonable for what is provided - all in all, a very good experience!

Was told I was required to purchase insurance. Was not told that my renters insurance would cover and that I was not actually required. Saw this in the handouts after. Was also charged a $24 administrative fee at the last minute. Wouldn’t have rented if I knew of the hidden fees.

Just rented a unit at the Waltham Facility. Joe Carver made the registration experience an excellent one as he was very knowledgeable and very responsive. The facility is very clean and has very easy access to upper floors. Access and security is also quite impressive. I highly recommend this Cube Smart facility for your at storage needs.

I was very impressed with the service I received at Cubesmart on Linden St in Waltham MA. Joe, the manager helped me set up the account for the unit rental for the summer. He was very nice and easy to work with. We had a wonderful conversation while taking care of the paperwork. The location itself was clean and well cared for. It was easy to enter and exit and flatbed carts were available right inside the door, near the elevators for use. It was easy to pull up to the "loading dock" toss everything on the flatbed and get right into the elevator and go up to our storage unit. We unloaded and were back downstairs and on our way. Every step of the way we could see how well kept the place was. It's obvious that Joe and his staff take very good care of the place and keep it clean on an ongoing basis. I'm very happy that I chose to rent a unit at this location and will go back again next summer when I need another rental for my daughter when she comes home from college for the summer.

I was incredibly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and outstanding service provided by Joe, one of the location's managers. Joe was accommodating to levels I have never experienced before in my time working with any business and fully transparent with the services offered. I felt safe and content with my choice to work with Joe and this CubeSmart location. Additionally, Joe seems to treat the customer exactly how they want to be treated. As a cherry on top, he is quite the conversationalist so moving felt so much easier and more pleasant by talking with him. Hats off to Joe and CubeSmart for hiring him!

I’ve been to quite a few storage units over the last 15 years, and it was a pleasure doing business at CubeSmart. Very professional, convenient location, clean etc. Probably the biggest difference is that there were always carts left to use. For one of the most profitable real estate investments, I find it shocking how many times storage companies have broken or insufficient carts to move storage.

This facility is very clean, easily access and i feel really secured when I am there. Nate, the General Manager, for the location is excellent and very professional. Always going above and beyond to meet my needs. Two thumbs up. It's now move out time and new manager tries to be detailed and meticulous but her process is daunting arcaic and redundant. Being charged a full month even though I moved out on the first day of the month. Don't mind being prorated and charged but they want full month. Still waiting on regional manager to call back. They have redeemed themselves. The district Manager called today to inform that a refund was being made. Guess it's a great place after all. I would store with them again if the need arose.

Not only is the facility itself impressive (one of the cleanest and most modern-looking I've ever been in) but the staff really go above and beyond what is expected of them to make sure that customers have a positive experience. There was a Comcast outage in the area when I went to sign up in person, and Nate managed to find a way to reserve my unit even without a fully-functioning computer system! He answered all of my questions and helped make the renting process as smooth and as easy as could be asked for. When we had some problems with my door code not initializing, he took care of it right away. I couldn't be happier with my renting experience.

The Waltham / Linden St location is TERRIBLE. Accessing any unit requires the elevator, and one of the only two elevators has been broken for over a month. The carts which are supposed to be available are rarely there, and the parking area is horrible. During our recent move, it took our movers only 3 hours to pack the entire house, and FOUR hours to move it into this terrible facility because of how poorly it was set up. I would highly recommend any OTHER storage facility.

George was transparent, detailed, efficient, thorough, and friendly. After explaining the process and getting me set up George politely asked if I had any questions, of which I had none due to the thorough and precise nature of the onboarding, and then showed me to the unit and made sure I was ready to get my stuff moved in. A pleasant conversationalist as well, he made me feel very comfortable about storing and accessing my belongings here in the future. This storage facility was crucial to my recent move!:) I’d lived in the same apartment for many years, and had roommates who were staying in the apartment. I didn’t want to disturb the rest of the house with boxes everywhere, so I began putting the items that weren’t crucial in storage. (seriously helpful strategy for those who are moving with minimal help) Once I officially moved to the new place, I was able to move those items in at my own pace. Peter, the manager of this CubeSmart was down to earth & helpful, and was really helpful since I’d never rented a storage unit before. He made the whole experience seamless, and I’m super thankful for that!

Its a new Facilty, well maintained, clean unit and Mgr Peter Alhart made the process easy. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and you can tell he cares about maintaining the space and customers. I got a great price, half of what I would have paid somewhere else (I've rented units before in Cambridge and Brookline). I thinks its deal pricing right now but still a good rental if it wasn't.

The check-in process with Peter was fast and easy. I found that store 0107 was keep very clean and secure. I also loved that fact that they had several dolly's for anyone to use to help load there items. That was a life saver for me.

Reserving the space via phone was easy, the shock came when I arrived to secure and move my stuff in. Never had it been shared during the phone process that there would be a monthly insurance fee. After a loud argument with the GM of the facility he kept repeating it's a requirement and his insinuation was that it must be purchased through CubeSmart, we finally calmed down and I asked if there was any way around the fee then he changed his tone and answer to YES, if I had homeowners or renters insurance! I certainly have homeowners and am still baffled as to why he was adamant that I buy their insurance nor note that I was distraught about an "EXTRA" charge. FOLKS, beware...you DON'T need to buy their insurance...just bring proof that you already have it or prove it afterwards.

Got a 10X10 at the new facility in Waltham. From start to finish, the process only look 30 minutes. Everything was brand new, clean, secure, and accessible. The website is also really useful as well. Recommended if you need storage at a good price!

CubeSmart on Linden Street in Waltham, MA is by far the best storage facility I have ever rented. (Mark, the general manager) and Dustin (manager) they go above and beyond to make your move as efficient as possible. They are amazing staff, provide great storage option, price and by far the cleanest, and easiest storage move-in I’ve ever had. It’s a top notch facility with very friendly and helpful staff.
