We used their climate controlled facility. Very clean and dry. Very helpful office manager. Got a great discount with second month free. Easy entry and exit. Large flat bed carts to move items easily& efficiently. Tamper resistant locks to purchase. First day bring your house insurance policy to apply better insurance then they offer else you are charged with theirs the first day and you can’t “uncharged” it a day later with your paper work. Fairly close to I 94.

Be careful about being lured in with low pricing. It’s a nice indoor facility, but after my first year, the 10% savings per month stopped, which I expected. However, I did NOT expect another 20% increase six months later, and it’s only August…. One more increase and it will be better to move to Climate Control Indoor Storage on Maple Rd.

Overall, I am definitely satisfied. The large bays for unloading indoors was a huge plus. The contactless reservation was easy, and they kept a key inside my unit. I did have trouble contacting them the day I moved in and I did not receive a call back, but it was all ready for me. I was able to sign the contact online for same day access to my unit.

The staff itself is excellent, but when CubeSmart took over they changed the hours of the once 24/7 enclosed gate section to 6 AM - 10 PM, which was a huge selling point to. Now the hours are now AM - 10 PM, which is not acceptable. If you own a business you can still have that access for an additional $15 a month. I’m not sure what charging an extra $15 does. I’ve owned a space there for approximately 3 years now, and will have to look for another location, due to the new hours of the once 24/7. I’m sure others feel the same. Again, this has nothing to due with the staff at this location but the new management company.

In anticipation of a move, I was looking for some storage for items from a one-bedroom apartment. I was able to reserve a storage unit and move in the following day, smoothly and sensibly. The loading and unloading areas are sheltered, which helps prevent concerns relative to weather. Loading carts made the transportation of luggage a breeze. I loved that the units were close to a nearby vehicle rental area, and would highly recommend Storage Sense to anyone in the Ann Arbor area.

2 catalytic converters stolen from “secure” yard. Their response was “ that’s why we stipulate you must have insurance”. We were on a road trip with our rv and they saw the spot was empty. Even though we were fully paid, they “thought”, we’d vacated and canceled our spot. Gate was left open and unattended several times when we’ve been there. Not well managed and not secure.

I'm very satisfied with my recent unit rental. The price and properties amenities are exactly what I was looking for! They have lights in there units and a outlet available right by my unit. I have my own business and sometimes work odd hours, the last few storage units didn't offer 24hr access or if they did my rent would double... Not the case at storage sense. The staff made my move in very pleasant and fast. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have been working with Storage Sense on State Road in Ann Arbor for two years. The facility and the staff are top notch. I rent a parking spot for my trailer and a storage unit for my business. They have a full dock for receiving shipments. I get a lot of deliveries and Storage Sense makes it easy. Deliveries can be made when I am not there which is great, since I am on the road quite often. They also have an enclosed area for me to pull my van into. This makes loading and unloading so easy, especially if it is raining or snowing. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I plan on using their services for years to come.

I am only giving this place an extra star because of its location. Otherwise it would be a ONE star. I have been a customer of Storage Sense since it was Devon Storage. I wish Devon would take it back over. Their customer service was absolutely wonderful. Now, not so much. The desk clerk is rude, insulting, and condescending. And those are his good points. And for some reason or the other- I'm going with the other- they keep losing your payment info causing you to be charged a late fee nearly every month. Don't get me wrong- love this place and enjoy being their customer. It's a good place to store your materials- if you have the patience of a saint when dealing with the desk clerk. Thank you.

Whatever you do, DO NOT rent storage space from Storage Sense. First of all, they do not have the lowest prices as they claim to have. Second of all, not only do they add a late fee if you are one day late in paying your bill (a late fee is to be expected) but they will tack on an additional $50 no matter the size of your unit for "beginning auction proceedings". The former owner, Devon Storage, had a five-day grace period after the payment due date before tacking on a late fee, plus Devon did not charge an extra $50 for beginning auction proceedings. In addition to all of this BS, if you are over a month late in paying your fees, Storage Sense will not allow you to pay online. You must call their phone number and deal with an automated message. The company is the pits. Run far, far away.

I was moving my daughter into U of M and we had a reservation to store her car there. The lady at the desk was on the phone when we walked in so the mananger came out to help us. He was extremely rude the entire time we were there. I finally asked if we were inconveniencing him. He said he was too busy and had other things to do. i asked if he would like us to come back later or prefer I take my business elsewhere. That still did not change his rotten attitude. If We weren’t from out of town I would have left right then and there. We will be moving her car out if there within the month. Worst customer service I’ve had in a very long time.

From the moment, we walked in, the worker was very friendly and asked us to fill the form. The manager walked in a little later and took care of everything. He was very friendly. The worker offered us to show how to move-in after hours with a walk-through right from the gate to the storage room and walked us back. Great facility, friendly and helpful staff. The loading doc is large enough for semi-trucks and they have ample carts for loading and unloading. Solid rates for the area too!

A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Deceitful, false advertising. They advertised a $12 locker and then WHEN I FREAKING GET THERE... A SCAM!!! made me fill out a form, and then told me the total blah blah blah is $49.75 smh bullshit... It's very deceitful

AVOID! Terrible business practices with surprise fees. Twice now I've NOT been given what I've paid for. Once they locked my out of my unit even though I was paid up for another 3 days. I thought that was a simple miss understanding because when I went to the office it was taken care of quickly. But I rented a unit there a second time and paid in full for 3 months. Near the end of the prepaid time I got a random bill. The call center could not explain the bill and they said someone would call me back to explain. No one ever called. I paid it thinking it might be the bill for the next month which I didn't prepay for. I was wrong and then a week into the next month I get no notice of a bill until it already has late fees added. Everytime I call I get a person at a call center that cannot help me and am told someone on site will call me back. I never get a call back or email. Avoid all Devon self storage locations.

Great service. The person at the desk explained everything very clearly, drew me a diagram and was considerate and helpful. The space is very clean, no clutter or garbage. The grounds are well maintained. They had the cheapest rstes for the size I needed. They also provide secure locks as part of the fee. There is a huge garage where you can load and unload if it's raining or snowing with hand trucks to make hauling easier. I definitely recommend Devon Self Storage.

Manager was okay. He walked me over to my storage location and talked through options with me. There is a locked gate with a code at the front; however, the side gate along the side of the facility was wide open both time we were dropping off items. There is also a guy who appears to live in the unit across from ours. Everyone was nice enough and the unit was clean. Overall it's okay.

This Devon Self Storage facility is a great experience and a great value. The managers are knowledgeable and helpful and offer superior customer service. The units offer secure, safe, and clean storage for my belongings. No worries about storing electronic items or photographs, as Devon's climate-control prevents temperatures from spiking into damaging ranges. The gated access and interior entrance make moving things into/out of the facility simple no matter what the weather. Devon Self Storage is even better than my own garage or basement!
