My family has rented storage units from here for years. Never had any issues. The only reason I give it three stars is because I went to downsize my storage unit and noticed mold on all of my belongings. Made the process super long to get everything cleaned and to throw away things that could not be fixed. One of the garage doors nearest my storage unit was broken and would not close. Hope they got that fixed. But, Shelly is a great manager here and is very helpful!! She's always so nice and pleasant.

We're definitely post four or five stars had my outdoor accessible 10x30 storage unit not had a leak in the roof, that caused damage to several of my items in my unit. If you do rent one of these units, because they are handy if you are emptying out an entire home such as I was, ask the staff beforehand if there's any problems with a particular unit you are looking at, because I can assure you trying to file a claim is like being run around the barn and never let in.

I am so disappointed with the Cube Smart on Ball Ave in Grand Rapids. My cost keeps going up and up every year. However, the place looks like a dump. The outside has piles of trash, which have been there for over a week, trash around the parking lot, and the inside has broken cardboard boxes strewn around. This is unacceptable.

While the staff has always been friendly and helpful, I can't give this facility or company a better rating since they increased my monthly rate from $153 to $190 after 6 months. A jump of $37 per month!! I am/was expecting to rent my storage place for 2 1/2 years, and you've already increased my rates by 25% for no apparent reason. Supply and demand? Then increase the advertised rates for new customers, not your existing ones who are on autopay and give you no problems. This was also not made entirely clear (that they would be increasing rates basically every 6 months) when I originally signed up for my unit and told the rep I was planning on renting for a period between 2-3 years. When I called to complain about my rate increase, I was met with essentially, "too bad, you'll find these same higher rates everywhere."

The prices are too high while other places are renting out the same space with climate control with 24 hour access for 40-50 less. When trying to close account they want a full monthly payment when only there for 9 days. The manager Nia Depas is very rude when explaining things and locking doors so you can't come in while she changes the trash. She also tells people she will put a lock on your unit illegally so you can't get your things for wanting to move out your unit early. Bad service and prices. Will not recommend to anyone.

I've been with this storage room for two years. Since cubesmart took over they have raised my monthly rent by $25 twice with only a month notice. The place is indoor but still extremely cold. Bathrooms inside are trash. I only come and go with my holiday decor and there is a radio playing 24/7 which is nice but not if it's going to cost me an extra $50. Not like anyone other than employee are listening to it. Highly irritated!

I thought it would be harder to rent a unit. Nia made it quick and easy. Went here because of past reviews and they are correct. She showed me a couple of units to make sure I got the size I needed. I like that I can pull into the bay, which helped when it was raining when I moved in.

Simply self storage has a gem in the store manager Nia. I was in the office when someone was complaining because of a late fee. She handled herself professionally and didn't lose her cool. I have always liked my storage, but I have a new respect for the manager there.

I used this storage facility for about 8 months. It was really good and convenient with the Budget Truck rental on-site. You can drive a big truck right into the facility and load or unload your storage unit. I highly recommend. Staff is great too!

The manager at this storage facility is amazing. Really goes above and beyond to help her customers! I had a relocation company move my things from another state to the storage facility and to make a long story short i had to open up 2 extra units just to fit my things. The relocation company made a horrible miss calculation in the amount of cubic feet needed to store my belongings adding an extra 245$/month on to what i was already paying. The manager gave me a discount on the 3rd unit i opened which really helped out! The units are also very clean and secure!

It is also nice that you can arrange to pick up/drop off budget trucks and trailers here - a great perk if you are using the storage facilities while moving.

Nia DePas is the most Amazing person. I called her at 4:58am Friday morning to rent a Budget truck for an urgent need. Nia answered her home phone and was at the office in less than 15 minutes. This is an aweskme place to store ur things. Its all inside so no water can accidentally leak in from outside. They also have carts u put ur things on and role ur stuff to ur unit. The person who helps set up ur unit she is fantabulous very helpful. . UP DATE AUGUST 18 1017 ITS BEEN A COUPLE OF MONTHS SINCE I RENTED BEWARE THEY WILL SEND U OVER TO COLLECTIONS AND SAY U OWE MONEY EVEN IF U DON'T! !!! EVERY ONE EVERY TIME I had to work these guys. They WERE TERRIFIC! I had quite a few terrible life circumstances within a short period of time and with little resources and THESE FOLKS were there for me 100%, where it really counted. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Left unit same as i found it month later got a call telling me i owed over $200 for an extra month after i left and damages that did not exist. I explained that i did not owe they said ok and a month later i started getting calls from a collection agent. Unprofessional con artists. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE..

You have to give them a 10 day move out notice to get a refund. The price increased about 20.00 per month per year. They are rude when you call them. The facility isn't that clean, when we moved out we seen at least 2 mice...which we didn't have when we moved in. I have been with another local storage place for 3 years and have never had a price increase and the have a 20'x30' for less than a 10'x20' at simply storage/cube smart. With much kinder customer service along with a clean well maintained facility. I will forever more be an Everkept Storage customer!

the unit was clean, the office was friendly, UNTILL.. We rented a unit on the 15th of the month. were pro rated to the end of the month. On the first of the month, we were charged the next months rent. We were finished with our move, on Aug 4th, and went to close the account on the 5th. Was told that there is a NO refund policy fr the remaining 25 days. seriously? $140, for 5 days use? and now that it is closed, they can rent the space to somebody else? Definatey will not ever use again, and could never recommend.

I ordered a truck online. I received a confirmation email. No further attempt was made to contact me about my reservation. While Budget did indicate in the terms and conditions that not all models are available at every location, I didn't think that this meant that NO trucks would be available at ANY GR location. I was told that not only was no truck available in Grand Rapids on the day of my rental, and that one would not be delivered on my reservation day or the next day but that I could drive to Muskegeon (!!!) to pick one up. So, yes, one star.
