Only has 2 entrances for the entire building, no courtesy carts like other local storage places, and I was greeted by an unfriendly staff member who came back late from lunch according to the sign on the door. Which also means that the office is closed at whatever time they feel like taking lunch that day and you’re unable to reach anybody for any assistance. It was a very poor move-in experience. Hoping that the rest of my experience with this storage facility goes better.

Horrible experience. Rented unitl on Thursday to move all belongings out of apartment over the labor day weekend and the keypads are out of order. No ETA when they will be fixed and it's 5 days later now. GM at the 930 Holmes rd location was moving her own stuff with key access and was extremely rude and nasty. Called corporate multiple times and still no call back or info on when keypads will work again. Another female staff member said on Labor day, we could go in through front entrance only during business hours but no idea when keypads will be fixed. Hispanic GM just sat there and gave me the evil eye. Don't rent here. Unreal!!

They wine and dine you with cheap rates in the beginning but then every so often they keep hiking the price. They will rip you off more and more the longer you stay with them, it’s like the opposite of a loyalty program. Edit: It’s not just a little bit, it’s gone up “significantly” in only a few years, like double! Anyway, we’ve since moved our stuff to another facility who has never had these kinds of ridiculous price hikes. Good riddance!

The process of using the service was fine had no issues. He cancels our membership because of the increase of prices since we have used them. I was sad to see once I moved my items out that there was mouse feces in the unit. I had to check all my boxes to make sure I wasn’t bring mice home. If this is normal for storage facilities I was not aware. This was my first time using a service like this.

Mangers are not trained properly. One will tell you something that will not be backed by the other. The Gm blames the customers when the manger they trained and hired gives out false information. Can’t wait to get my stuff out. BBB needs to step in. Don’t try contacting me now that you have a public review. I spoke with the Gm before posting we will keep it like that.

This storage space experience was my best in the industry that I have encountered. This includes my storage experiences in CAlifornia, Massachusetts, Michigan and CT. First of all, the price - it is as transparent as possible. Yes they have the promotion but they explain upfront what and when the promotion ends and give you heads up when it expires so that you are not surprised. The intaking experience with Cassie was very nice and professional - no pressure. They offer a lock but also allow you to bring your own. No pressure whatsoever on using their products. And their products are not pricy - a coat hanging box was 14.99 As I was closing out, again the experience with Carly, the manager was very pleasant. I was just a couple of days into my new month and she offered to give me a discount on what I owed, without my asking. Overall, this business is less greedy and more customer oriented. Place is clean - lots of Dollies. Lighting is good. They have spaces per your preference. Great experience.

Carly was a delight! She made getting a storage space an easy and pleasant experience. Edit: Previous review was made when it was extra space storage, not cubesmart. Cubesmart held my things hostage after they took over the building and blamed it on the customers for units being locked out. They held my things hostage and forced me to pay to get them back even though I wasn’t under contract with them yet. Cubesmart is nothing but money hungry.

Cassie was absolutely Amazing. She answered all my questions and was an absolute sweetheart. I highly suggest using this place for storage. They have a few different ways you can bring your stuff in. The inside of the building is very nice and clean. They have Several cards you can use to make it easier to transport your stuff. There is the indoor storage and then they also have outdoor storage across the street and they are very helpful on helping you choose what is right for you to save you the most money.

Terrible and dishonest. I am on my second month, and they raised my base rate from $104 to $161, not including taxes. Once your things are there, they can charge you anything they want. Dishonest business. Stay away!!!!

BEWARE rate bait. Had a unit for several months at $45 per month, just got a post card saying that it will increase to $70 at the end of the month due to "market value increase". Seeing as others have had this same problem, I'm going to guess that it's not the "market" ?? Previously rated 5 stars but this is just scummy.

Very impressed with the repurposed building into storage units. Clean and easy access. Doorways are a problem with big furniture pieces. Need to address that. Lights overhead need to be activated when in personal units. Auto off is too rapid. Units are cleaned after each end of rental. Heated to keep contents from elements. Cleared area around facilities and camera feeds for safety.

With a giant indoor facility, with a beautiful front fascia, and friendly staff, Carly comes to mind, very sweet and knowledgeable, you get the climate control you need, because in Michigan, you might want to go in there in the middle of winter and really go through a few things. I wouldn’t recommend CubeSmart on W. Holmes. Had to make a police report due to my rims and tires being stolen. Then claim they wasn’t on the inventory check and only outside cameras which aren’t working. Stay clear of this place they are thief’s and liars. Take your business elsewhere. Trying to save people from the same mistake I’ve made, God doesn’t like ugly!

My experience with Extra Space Storage was nothing but amazing! I was from out of state, dealing with an emergency. I only had a few hours to move some things and didn’t have a solid game plan. I came in for boxes and got some great info/advice from one place and store manager Carly got me set up with a unit and great pricing. She didn’t try to up sell me in my time of great need. My family and I rented 2 storage units from Extra Space Storage after moving to Lansing in 2020. We have been nothing but impressed with all of the employees we have met (at least 4). They have all been very friendly, helpful, caring, and accommodating. Once we left a unit improperly locked and we were notified soon after. They also informed us early on that if we informed them during the last full month we planned to rent a unit, they would be able to prorate any extra days we needed. I talked to them about a small oil leak in one of our units and they are going to put stuff on it to make it easier for them to clean it. So glad I made the effort to ask them questions as it has made moving out go so smoothly—especially the prorating of a few extra days and the fact that they do the cleaning up after everything is out. Our experience with Extra Space Storage was great!

The office manager was very nice and helpful. I wanted a unit with temperature control, but was not difficult to access even though it’s indoors.

My move in process was a breeze. I worked with two store managers and collectively they took great care of me from the initial phone call to the last document I signed. It was my intentions to lease from the MLK location however, I didn't want a second floor unit. The manager, Tosha, is a sweetheart! This place is clean, the units are easy to access, and there are dock height doors that are accessible for unloading if needed. There are cameras everywhere and all access to building is logged for security. For what you get, the price is absolutely fantastic. I do not leave very many reviews on google, only when something exceeds my expectations. You won't be sorry if you rent here. Let her know Dave recommended her. I don't get anything for it but I want her to know good customer service yields business.
