The service was absolutely great in helping me understand the process of getting a unit and Mia was extremely helpful answering any questions. She also made the effort to inform me exactly when I was moving out. Only reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because some of my items in the locker were afflicted by rats/mice. Terrible, HUGE LATE FEES, predatory, they took my whole life and all of my memories. I got a unit in 2018 following a death in my family and a separation. I had a storage unit for 5 years. When my ex and I separated 2018/19, we were not able to entirely transfer it into my name but I took over payments for years following. I had a very serious health issues that made it to where I could not be reached for a little over a month and a half. I was getting billed $150/mo by 2023. It ended up 2 months behind but somehow ballooned to over $700 to cut the lock. That is more than double.They contacted my ex - who had not talked to me in years and they threatened his credit and exorbanant auction fees, bullied him to where he had to pay the minimum fee of $500 to dispose of all of my belongings - my entire childhood, my family heirlooms (they are all deceased), all of my memories gone. I'm sure they made a lot of money off of it plus over $5000 I paid for them to hang obto it for me. I walk away with nothing but cold, brutal rudebess after all of those years paying. They do not care about their customers. I called them as soon as I was able and the woman did not care and said "it wasnt in your name", then hung up on me.

they are constantly raisin the rates , I had 2 increases in less than 6 months increasing my rate by $100 a month. I moved all my sytuff out and went to another co. and have the same space for less than 1/4 of what cube smart wanted. So Cube smart you are not very smart, I was a steady customer , never late on a payment in 4 years and you priced yourself right out of my money which is now going to a different storage company

This place has amazing customer service. Mia worked with me through an issue I was having and she and cube smart really helped make it easy on me. I wouldn't hesitate to use this facility again. Do note that this is not climate controlled. While indoor and secure, it's similar to a garage in terms of climate. Signage is all new throughout the facility and customer service is above and beyond. I appreciate the staff as they are amazing at customer service.

Showed up after hours unable to find my spot because it doesn't match the map I was given (to which I was told by their employee needed to be updated). Their outdoor parking spots are just cheaply spray painted numbers on the floor that have been washed away. Called customer service who couldn't help me at first because they put the wrong name on file (and they couldn't fix it either I have to come back during store hours). They attempted their emergency contact number to find someone on site who could help but no response. No help at all.

My unit was invaded by bugs and rodents. After speaking with Kathy Hall, district manager, I was advised that there was not supposed to be any foods stored in the unit. I had canned goods, bags of beans, and boxes of pasta stored. She says it's in the contract. If so I apologize.

The movers arrive on time. I scheduled 3 hours to move my things they arrive at 1:30pm and was done by 4:15pm and billed me for an extra hour. They weren't carefull with my belongings things were missing and they would claim they didn't see it or it did not belong with the item. My dryer was damage and they didn't take accountability for the damage. I called the office and filed a claim and the over charge of an hour. As of today I have not heard back from the company.

Property looks decent, seems like they are getting things redone. Sadly I decided not to rent here as the prices right now are currently high. However the managers on site did give me options and recommended sister properties. The people seem great, friendly. Exceptional customer service, Leah listened to my needs, showed me two units, and I moved in the same day. The rates were the best in the area and I even got the first month free. I am so angry at this place. Beware of you are storing your items outside storage, we had all of our items damaged by water, rats and mold. We placed a claim with their insurance company and after giving them everything they wanted including pictures, they denied our claim. Management is good, he tried to help but I overly caution everyone to earn for another storage facility. You will lose your items here.

Don't have to think about it. What storage should be. Easy access. No gotchas in the contract. Easy online account maintenance. I've changed my method of payment easily online without ever having to call. Worry free.

I can't imagine the Ypsilanti site getting less than 5 stars, ever. The staff are always incredibly nice and helpful when I've dealt with them. And the site itself seems well maintained and clean. Good prices, too.

Unit was infested with mice. Switched units, wanted same size, given size that was less than half the size I had. Had to move on the weekend due to my job so stuck taking the smaller unit. Had to get rid of all my furniture, and other things. All I got was 2 months free storage. Big deal, my living room recliner was worth over $600 alone. I'm not a happy camper. I tell people to NEVER go to this storage company. Also, when rates are raised, it be nice to be informed.

My things were auctioned. I can understand that. However I was bothered by the fact that they will not put the proceeds toward what I owe. I lost everything of value to me and still owe them the original balance? What was the purpose of selling my things. They profit and further penalize me at the same time. Just have to think of it as things lost in the fire. Seems scandalous to me. No good will come to them for taking advantage of people when they are down. Certainly not what they seem. Good luck.

The area looks a bit sketchy but it's clean and the staff are very friendly. As college kids, my roommate and I didn't really know how to approach getting a storage unit and the manager was very nice and walked us through the whole process. We also got a great deal on our unit! Would recommend
