Steer clear and check your bills. Supposedly, CubeSmart was awarded a customer service award, but I have no idea how We rented a unit at $57 a month, for a 10 x 10 x 8 unit. The next month it jumped up to $84 insurance For total of $96. I called in and they let me know that in three more months my unit would be going up to $113 per month plus $12 insurance. Speaking with the store manager to inquire, they told me that is pretty rare to have a price jump in month but there's nothing they can do about it. Check your bills And find a new storage facility.

Garage doors for vehicle parking stayed out of order during the winter months.bathrooms were not clean a majority of the time.customer service was great and my unit was very clean when I moved into it.i would have given more stars but their were times I needed to unload things during the winter and couldn't because of the doors for vehicle parking was out of order.

The building is clean and easily accessible. However, the pricing of the units is inconsistent. There is no rhyme or reason to how the units are priced. They like to blame it on promotions which is non sense. I’d shop around.

The local staff are good people BUT they have no power to make a decision. BOTH Garage doors have been broke in the Closed position for a month.. All garage door companies now refuses to repair because corporate NEVER pays them !!!!! I asked the district mgr for a rent reduction and was told I was welcome to move out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very dirty. Smeg all over the floors and carts. They never use the floor scrubber they are supposed to use, and the staff has lied repeatedly about it. They say they are going to use it, or they have been using it the whole time. Their stories never add up. I've been trying for eight months to change this, but not even the vice president cares. Inflationitis. Edit: their response below is typical. Just lip service that goes in a circle and is detached from my complaint and reality.

Don't expect them to return calls in a timely manner, they don't. As for making a payment, supposedly they don't have a secure line when you try to give them a new card number over the phone, poor excuse. What about your employee that took the card over the phone last month, get your story straight.

Very affordable you can get first month free and use of a big truck to use for free for 4 hours. The storage areas are very clean and air conditioned and nice music to listen to. The people on the phones and at the desk are very friendly and helpful.

When did I report a poor experience? I shared neutral scoring at a 5 to the previous question, "How likely are you to recommend CubeSmart Self Storage to your friends or family?" To answer your 2nd question, "What can be done better?" Is your company against providing us renters with a timeframe on when we will have access to both garage doors? Moving in was very difficult with how many people were only able to use the one garage opening. How are renters suppose to move freely and safely if they have to unload from outside in the winter behind multiple vehicles in line?

I have no complaint about the storage facility itself. I had 2 units for several months and the prices were fair and it is a very clean building. What I am very frustrated about is the poor customer service I have received!!! I had two units from Sept 2020 until June of 2022. I checked out of both units in June - on the 16th we cleaned out the 5x10 unit advised it was empty and then came back the next day to clear the 10x15 unit. Payment had been by automatic bank draft and we were told that it was cancelled so no further payment would come out. Well, in July a payment was deducted for the smaller unit that we had had. I have called numerous times in attempts to get a refund for the extra month I was charged and I have been lied to. I was told it was handled and the credit would go back to my checking account. That did not happen. After several other calls I was told that the refund was approved and that a check was issued for the refund. That still has not happened!! It has now been almost five months waiting for the refund!!! When you call their number the recording says winner of best customer service award, but I would have to disagree with that. I'm still waiting for my refund check. UPDATE: After making the review I was contacted right away and it was addressed and taken care of. Thank you, but it should not have to taken many phone calls and months for this to happen.

More of the same. They just don’t learn and they want me to call to talk about it? Pictures are worth 1000 words and it hasn’t changed and it’s going to rain soon tonight. I’m parking inside for a bit so if you are loading/unloading you’ll get wet because CubeSmart uses us tenants indoor loading area. No CubeSmart tenant cares that your van’s catalytic converters is stolen when they are standing out in the rain. We pay for inside parking while loading and unloading.

I tried to rent a 5'x10' storage space at this facility. I stopped by a couple times because I wanted to see it before renting and no one was there. I went on line last Saturday and reserved a unit and did not complete the transaction because I did not need a lock or insurance. I got an email stating that I would be contacted on Monday May 2nd. I was not contacted. Instead I received another email saying I must complete online registration. I called Cube Smart and got ahold of someone in the corporate or nation rental. They told me that the manager must be helping some one. She tried multiple times to contact him. I was on the phone for over 30 min when she came back and said the manager was at another location and would be in on Tuesday. On Tuesday once again I did not receive any calls so I again reached out. I did however get another email and a text. I responded and requested a call . Finally the manager did call and said he could meet me but was confused and unsure of a time when he would be there. I wasted a lot of time and I also had a truck and help lined up on Monday to help me move in. I would not recommend this place based on very poor service. I also tried to give zero stars but had to give 1 to complete my post.

I have a storage here due to a pal of mine and his referral he Received a discount for the month I signed up. I chose a 10 x 5 locker and I want this because I have a studio apartment and there is not enough room for all my belongings. I rarely visit but when I do I have an access code that I enter any large garage door opens so I enter the facility. I appreciate the large door because that the last storage I rented scratched my car due to the arm closing to soon on my way out of the door. The atmosphere as well it in music is playing. The energy overall feels positive. There is a bathroom on the first floor near the garage and an elevator right next to it for easy access to the upper level. My unit is the second level out of two levels. It’s not much of a walk to get to my unit and I use a combination code by choice purchased through CubeSmart at the time of rental. The prices are reasonable and it was very convenient upon the initial visit. At the Front desk was the managers son, who was knowledgeable and kind, my 1st lock became jammed so he gave me a 2nd free. He actually took initiative and set my combo for me. Prior to leaving I mentioned I was hungry so he shared two Nutri-Grain bars with me because moving day was stressful. I definitely recommend this facility due to the organization, cleanliness, location, price, and the employees! They make it a success.

The staff is incredible!! GiGi and Jeremy know the meaning of customer service to it's fullest extent. They are accurate and knowledgeable about needed space and pricing. My experience is with the Prior Lake, MN location. The facility is clean, secure and welcoming. You drive in to a load/unload area where transport carts and elevators are readily available. Need a box truck to move your furniture in? No problem, you can reserve their truck with minimal admin fee, a refundable deposite and a gas replacement! Their office store sells all of your packing needs to make your move easy. If you are looking for an indoor and climate controlled storage experience (do yourself a favor) and check out Cube Smart.

Prices change once you get there. I reserved my 10x10 unit on ground level. The manager called me to confirm my reservation saying they did not have any but would put me in a 10x15 for the same price. Then confirmed my move in date saying it would not be a problem. I show up on that date, they back out of the offer for the larger unit. Now I am a reasonable person and I understand if a mistake was made and can't do that, but I would also expect some attempt to make it right. I am here with a truck full of stuff on the verge of moving my residence and they offer me a 10x10 non ground floor unit for 50% MORE money?! No thank you.

I have been to a lot of storage units in my day, but I have never had nearly as good an experience as I did at this CubeSmart. The facility was clean, so easy to access, had a comfortable waiting area and clean restrooms. But the best asset was the people who worked there. Over the course of my long move to the area, Jessica helped me over the phone several times, arranging contactless payment from out-of-state and checking on the status of packages that arrived. She was such a kind, knowledgeable, and helpful person through the whole process and made moving a joy — I always looked forward to our phone calls! And when we did arrive at the unit for the first time, Darice got us access instantly and welcomed us warmly to the area. When we had some issues with our access code, she jumped right in to help, and she also directed us to the carts we'd need for moving items between our unit and the car. One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had in my life. Thank you!

Friendly staff, easy access, clean. The only thing that needs to be improved apon is maybe include a location map im the hallways. The place is huge. EDIT**** DONT RENT FROM THEM. They lie, steal from you, lie some more, take money out of your account unauthorized, harass you. That's why nobody uses that place longer then a couple months. Don't use it unless you like to be ripped off. There are plenty of other storage facilities that are decent. This is not one.

The facility is meticulously maintained! It is very well lit and secure. Lights automatically turn on when you walk down the hallways and when you enter your "garage space". there are security cameras everywhere and the front desk attendant was super friendly, professional and helpful. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I am very happy I made a move to Cubesmart in Prior Lake. I was renting another unit, but found a space twice the size for about the same rate at the Prior Lake facility. I received the most excellent customer service from Jessica W! She helped make the transition as worry free as possible, and treated me like a friend, and I found it extremely refreshing in today's world, to find a representative who went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed Thank you, Jessica!

We have rented here for our local business for the last 5 years. Prices are going up at a steady rate and we were told by the big wig manager "not store manager" if we don't like the price increases we are free to leave. So much for a mutual beneficial arrangement. The store team is great! They do a nice job with what they are given. The door systems are broke at least 50% of the time and are not fixed in an appropriate amount of time. Both main garage doors are currently broke leaving only a side door to haul all your stuff through. Last winter a door was broke for over 9 weeks leaving every renter only one garage door to navigate through. One month later! One door works for three days, breaks and now back to only having access door! Rent goes up again and no response to email or this review! What does that say about this place?

Jessica at the Prior Lake CubeSmart could not have been any nicer. she was a joy to work with and very helpful. Almost sorry we were able to move all our storage items out. We no longer needed the space. But if we ever do in the future this will be the first storage facility I think of. Would highly recommend. Clean, fair price, use of a moving truck for a nominal fee.

Love the security of this place, wish it was this easy to find a home this safe and reliable, nonetheless. The storage spaces are secure and easy to access. We are between homes currently and have stored most of our belongings in a unit. I was really impressed with their loading area and security measures. You won't be disappointed if you choose this location to store your items. :)

Great storage facility, clean, and new. Prices are great. Management is friendly. One of the selling points for us is they have a moving vehicle you can use! I would highly recommend this facility! Editing to lower to 4 stars. We’re about to move our things out of storage now that our house is ready. When asking about using the moving truck again, we were told it will cost money to use the truck + mileage + filling it up with gas when finished. (Which we had to do anyways so that’s not a big deal) we are spending money there every month while our belongings are in storage. It is free advertising for them when their truck is out on the roads. It’s the whole reason we went with them, we saw the truck on the road... not by looking them up online.

When here first time to get a unit was never told that I have to pay a prorated amount for my first month and I had a promotion for free month and then get told that I have to pay $14.99 for their dislike which I already have my own lock come on everybody else needs to have their own lock needs to be the same across the board and I think that's a bunch of BS wasted time wasted gas going to a facility just because you got a free truck so what but the the fact that you wouldn't honor everything up front and then you want somebody to pay for a month and they're not even in there when it supposed to be for free when a free month is a free month not the next month very disgusted with this property

We used select space storage for staging our home and moving things prior to our move. Our experience and the costumer service was great. The facility is very clean, they have moving equipment to help free of charge, and some moving supplies for sale in their office. We loved being able to pull into the indoor garage to load/unload our vehicles, and that all our belongings were stored in a climate controlled space. We would certainly recommend using them to our friends/family, and we would use them again in the future if more storage needs arised.

Great people, Great access, Great Storage, This storage facility recently opened up, and I noticed an add that they had placed on Facebook. It was almost like fate showed me the add as I was moving out of my house late in the month of August/early September. I have always been weary of self storage units, especially with a few bad experiences with the company public storage. Units usually advertised as clean, and climate controlled were turning out to not be as advertised, and I had lost quite a few belongings along the way. Every time I would rent a new unit, the people were always very rude, and I always felt like I was a burden on the corporation. Let me just say that I ABSOLUTELY did not feel that way with Select Storage of Prior Lake. From the moment I called to inquire about availability I was greeted by an extremely pleasant and well spoken employee. They happily informed me they had openings, and I ended the phone call on the promise, that if I came in I would be able to tour the facility before making any decisions, especially on the size unit I needed. I went in the same day with my wife and four year old and was pleasantly greeted and made to feel welcome immediately, even with my hyper 4 year old son! I was taken on a tour of a few different size units by Jessica, who was probably one of the nicest individuals I have ever encountered, and she merrily explained what space I would most likely need, and informed me of all the cost differences of units on the second and first floors. The best part about moving in was my first month only cost me $1 plus the cost of the insurance and lock, as well as a small administration fee!!! After choosing my unit and getting plans together to move in the weekend to come, I was told I could use their moving truck for FREE on my move in! I took advantage of that and they without a huge hassle ( just a few documents) I was able to take the truck to go and move all of my belongings. The truck was in immaculate condition, and a perfect size for me to move my 2 bedroom homes items out. It didn't burn excessive amounts of gas, and I can honestly say that being able to use their truck saved me a ton of money on my move. When getting to the facility with my stuff I was able to use the company's multiple push carts, and furniture dolly's to seamlessly load my unit! This made life so much easier on me and my pregnant wife. The condition of my unit was immaculate, as well as all of the amenities that I was able to take advantage of! I felt so secure leaving their facility knowing my items were secure in their state of the art building, from fire, as well as theft. I also want to note, that I love how they have dock doors you can pull a truck right into, which will make accessing my unit in the winter super nice! (GET TO BEAT THE MN COLD!) It is so easy to get into the building with your pin code, and I really couldn't be happier with how my whole process of renting this unit went! Definitely a welcome addition to the local businesses of Prior Lake MN. I would most definitely RECOMMEND this storage facility to anyone in the market for one!

Select space storage is amazing! They have employees there that will answer every question you may have, help you out if you need anything and they are fun to talk to. First day we moved in, we got to use their moving truck free within 30 miles. That helped us out a lot, so thank you! Conveniently, have a loading area that is indoors due to weather and goes straight to elevators just in case your unit is upstairs and they also have carts to load up boxes! We definitely used all of the carts to make the trips easier! I highly recommend coming to this storage unit! Great place and people!
