Have had a unit for over a year with them. 800 customer service is a delight!! Gina, the manager of the store is NOT a delight. I called about rodents in my unit and she said all you can do is fill out an incident report I have a customer I have to get off the phone…so me a person who gives you money monthly isn’t a customer?? Horrible customer service by her.

The prices might be low, but the facility is a mess. The light in my unit doesn't work, the bathrooms aren't open and the staff is never there. Then I just got hit with a $110 fee for being late on my payment. Even though I called to have my auto pay changed, they still tried to charge my old card. This place is crooked and disgusting!

Been in this storage facility over 5 years. And it's going down in service and cleanliness. There are always different people . Can't keep employees. Must be why they hang up on customers when they call. And nobody is ever there in the office. During office hours. It's getting way worse. NO GOOD.

Tom, the new property manager helped assist me today with an issue that would have resulted in a huge loss that I would never have recovered from. All of my daughter’s baby things were in a unit that a friend of mine neglected to pay, and also caused me to deal with a situation regarding fraudulent activity. Tom helped me settle this issue so that I did not suffer a loss. Because of him, my daughter will not lose her memories.

Very communicative when phoned for assistance. No issues on site, except mice but I had an outdoor unit so to be expected. No safety issues on site when on premises after business hours or when dark outside. They could use another dumpster as the current singlenone on site is regularly full.

I have been a customer before they took over the previous owner affordable storage. I have spoken with many employees to get certain things resolved and it's been close to a year and not one issue has been resolved. I went to verify my payment date had been updated and eventhough the staff managers and employees continue to change monthly. There seems to be no accountability or any real person in which you can speak with in regards of getting things corrected. I've been back and forth with so called managers and yet and still have not received any corporate number and now I wonder if this business is even BBB rated. Will keep you posted.

Currently a customer. Unfortunately, I won't be for long. I will be moving out soon. I just made my monthly payment, but won't be there the whole month. They recommend a notice, not sure why. They will not prorate and I get no refund. As expensive as these units are. They should have the facility on climate control temps and they DONT. I will not recommend this facility.. :( Too bad because the front desk help (Jenny) is great :)

Horrible. Double billed. Called constantly but no one had any authority to reverse over billings. Just an overall head ache. Would not recommend. Would not use again even if it was $1 a month. Tried to sell my things because of their own mistakes and even charged me a "lien sale" fee since they were going to sell my things. PS - half their doors don't even work.

I would have to put so many zeros. My husband went to pick up our winter stuff and was told it was gone. He had called and said he had till a certain time to get our stuff. Stupid people threw away our stuff two days before the due date. Now all our stuff is gone and they sent an email and changed the date on it. They will probably lie through their teeth so they won't be found liable for this stupidity. Now we have to rebuy everything we owned.

DO NOT STORE HERE. YOUR STUFF WILL GO UP FOR AUTION AND YOUR ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT SOMEONE ABOUT IT WILL BE POINTLESS. Cubesmart took over and sent the place into the dirt. Attempts to charge accounts only one time before applying a b.s. $100+ fee. The charge was attempted before money even was deposited from direct deposit. Also, management doesn't occupy the office or return phone calls. My stuff is now on on auction because they wouldn't accept a payment in person on the first of the month.

If I could give zero I would. Let me ask anyone reading this a question…..would you want to pay around 150 a month for an indoor unit to have all of your stored item covered in mouse poop, fabric chewed through, etc??? Yeah me either but here we are and almost a week and a half later no contact from the “Site Manager”. Multiple voicemails left bc a phone call is never answered. Super poor customer service and terrible price to have stuff ruined.

I have a unit for over a year the second month there was roaches in everything and now several dead mice and mice dropping and the unit smells horrible. I was told that the unit would be covered through insurance but even that was untrue and now I have to pay someone to clean out the unit because insurance don't cover bugs, mice, or bed bugs. I would give a negative five stars if that was available.

And for the price of "climate control" might as well get an outside storage. I've complained to the company but they really don't care one bit. My opinion is skip this place and go to extra space storage, they are half the price with real climate control and impeccably clean.

Great place if you like continuous and non stop price increases. I rented a unit for 17 months and underwent 3. Most importantly - beware of Unit #P4 (and similar units) as there is a large utility pole that eats into the square footage making it a 4' x 4' unit, as opposed to the 5' x 5' for which you are charged. The tops of many, if not all, units are also open air so you WILL get a lot of bugs in there.

These units are super clean! We moved all our stuff here from another nearby storage facility that had HORRIBLE pest issues. So far, we haven’t had any issues at all with Affordable Family Storage! The manager cleans the building routinely, the staff are amazingly pleasant, and everyone seems to care about the business and the customers. The manager worked with us to find something suitable for our budget, and helped us take advantage of a promotional rate that brought our rate down to roughly what we had been paying at the other facility. They even have furniture carts to use for loading/unloading, free of charge! We really could not be more pleased! The phone staff are just as wonderful as the staff who work on-site. No issues with theft either- they keep everything nice and secure, and there is surveillance everywhere! We love it!

The manager is really nice and the units are good size for the price. However, the keypad by my storage unit didn’t work to get in after hours. I still could access the building, it was just a hassle to have to go such a far away entrance.

If you ever need a place to store your things, this storage facility (50 & L) is the place to go! It’s big, clean but most importantly the professionals that work at this facility is beyond what any person could ever ask for. I read their business reviews online before deciding to give this place a call. To my amazement, the reviews they had received were in fact true because Edgar and Rosa are two amazing individuals. They are kind, friendly and show the utmost care for their customers. I called around before choosing this place, and they were by far the best in town. Best people to work with and the best place to store your things! They have everything you need, trucks, dollies, carts, etc. and storage units in a variety of sizes. With that being said, Thank you Edgar and Rosa for being so amazing and for providing us with such a pleasant experience. :)

Setup and move-in was very quick and smooth. Facility is extremely clean, well-lit, and secure, with several cameras visible both outside and inside the facility, and keypads at each entry. I found this place convenient because it was close to my current place, close to where I was going, climate controlled,etc... After calling around to multiple storage units around Omaha I found Affordable Family Storage. I was able to call them and come in right away for an appointment. I was helped by Jess who was incredibly friendly, professional and fast. In addition to the building being extremely clean the prices are well under others around the city and offer great discounts. I was in and out with a new storage unit in less than 30 minutes and would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a unit for a month or years.

Affordable Family Storage is a wonderful facility. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Reserving a unit is very easy and quick. I checked into my unit a week and a half early and there were no issues. The units are temperature controlled, clean, nearly brand-new, and the facility has a dust filtration system to keep stored items clean. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or anyone in the Omaha area who needs to store items.

For starters I want to say that this storage facility has been outstanding. I needed a storage unit to store some of my belongings while I transitioned to my new house. While browsing the web I encountered Affordable Family Storage and saw a really good promotion so I decided to go with them. I booked an appointment in less than 5 min and reserved a unit. They don't charge you for reserving which is great, instead they follow up with a phone call to double check with you. On the day of my appointment, I went in and there was a hiccup with my reservation. Some how I got a smaller unit than requested but this turned out to not be a problem at all because they ladies that work there were very helpful and got me setup with a storage the very next morning! One of them was Jess, and bless her for being very good at customer service and accommodating me. Highly recommend this facility. Clean, friendly and good prices/promotions.

They are not affordable my friend had to pay them off she only has some junk in there but she has her daughter's medical equipment there her daughter has very bad asthma and she is on a nebulizer and she also has a intestinal issue with a feeding tube but they would not allow her to go in a get the medical equipment even though she offered to pay for half of the storage balance in order to get her daughter's medical equipment which is more than the amount they would get with trying to sell her stuff. But they would not let her get her daughter's medical equipment.

My wife and I walked in to inquire about a 5’x5’ storage unit and were greeted by Jess, who was friendly and helpful. She gave us the information we needed showed us the facility and had us sold in a matter of minutes. The facility is very clean and orderly, there was absolutely no garbage or clutter laying around anywhere, there are multiple entry points around the building, it’s climate controlled, very affordable and has secure entry. I don’t think you’ll find a better facility in the metro area!

We had some trouble at first concerning pricing but Edgar was very helpful and quick to help us get everything corrected. We had a miscommunication and put our stuff in the wrong storage, and rather than making us move everything, Edgar switched everything around for us so we wouldn't have to do any extra work and move our stuff around. We are very pleased with the customer service we have received, and we definitely recommend Affordable Family Storage to everyone, especially the location on 50th and L. They also provide moving carts/platform carts inside the storage to make it easier for you to wheel your stuff down to your storage. If you are looking for a place to store your items, this is the place to go!
