I didn’t have a bad experience besides the price increase with no notice. Never met anyone or spoke to anyone who worked there besides the day I had to cancel my unit so can’t say too much about their service. I may use again if needed for short term but would be weary of their random price increase

This is my 2nd unit, they made special arrangements to get me the available unit next to my existing one. I made all the sign ins online, it's just too easy. Managers and staff are awesome. These were short-term rentals but if I ever need a long term unit, this is the place!!!

I rented a small climate controlled unit. Unfortunately, some of my stuff was permanently damaged in the unit caused by water that got into my storage unit following a major storm. I didn’t know my unit was affected until after I moved all of my stuff out of it. Some of the boxes were soaked after months of being wet causing them to grow mold. Some of the items that got damaged were my American Girl doll accessories from when I was a kid which are known collectors items. I am so sad and let down by CubeSmart. I thought a climate controlled unit was supposed to protect my stuff at all costs. I guess not…

my items were covered in rodent feces, rodent urine and rodent poison. There were my boxes all over my clothes, all over my furniture, all over every thing that I earned the insurance that cubeSmart made it mandatory for me to purchase denied me. CubeSmart denied any fault even though they put the poison down and the stuff I paid hundred dollars for every month to store in their facility was being run by rodents. I got no apologies nothing except denials, and they wash their hands me disgusting. I would never recommend them. They’re horrible, so horrible way to do business. They are horrible company.

All managers were great in the 2 locations that I rented. BHP in EHT, NJ and Fire Road in EHT, NJ. I want to give a big shout out and a 10x review for Doris....she helped me with the Fire Road, EHT, NJ location. Without her help on my side (the customer) with the district manager....things certainly would have been difficult for me as well as my family. She certainly saved me money but more importantly she understood my dilemma and assisted me to a reasonable and honorable exit. She literally saved a lifetime of memories for us. Thank you Doris!!!!!

BEWARE! After selling our house in October 2022, we stored all of our belongings at this facility. In order to have the room we needed, they suggested the larger unit which was not climate controlled. After less than a year of everything being in there, we discovered pieces of furniture with some type of mold. We also had many items rusted, not to mention everything was filthy dirty. There must have been some kind of defect or issue with this particular unit, given the extent of the damage to numerous pieces of furniture, as well as many other assorted items. We even laid down rugs and moving blankets on the concrete floor as well as covering items with moving blankets and plastic. Some items survived; others did not. Upon contacting Cube Smart, we were advised that we had insurance as part of our monthly payment and they gave us information on filing a claim with their insurance company, Great American Insurance Group. The claims adjuster had us e-mail photos and answer many questions only to blow us off and declare that it was not covered. So essentially, the money from the monthly payment that goes to this company is useless. It benefits them and CubeSmart, not the consumer. We not only spent thousands of dollars on storage over the course of a year, we lost thousands of dollars worth of belongings and had to pay more money to dispose of everything that could not be salvaged. We also spoke with the regional manager for this location and he told us Sorry, but there's nothing we can do. Not our problem. It had to be something we did or didn't do or could have been something from an adjoining unit. Basically, it sucks for you. Obviously, we will never use them again and will tell anyone and everyone that we know, NOT to use CubeSmart. But, especially DO NOT store anything at this location. If I could give no stars and horrible as a rating, I would.

People are nice however the storage units are terrible. The locker we got has a caved in roof that leaks. Unfortunately we never noticed until we returned to get some of our stuff and found everything wet. Should've just saved the money and threw the stuff in the trash from the start instead of paying for the locker for 6 months to trash it all anyway.

Everything was good, I rented the unit in advance just in case I needed it. Found a house to rent that has a large garage, so I never actually used the storage space. The space was clean and easy to access. If I have the need in the future, you will be the first place I check out.

They've changed and are giving people less than what they pay for. Units that had electricity for instance, the customers are not allowed to use the electricity anymore. So, my thought is why rent the units, if you don't want people to use it. You should be able to make use of whatever is in your space. It's not like the units are cheap.

It’s a big concrete box, with a door. They will give you a “contract” for one price and then periodically raise the price. In a little over a year my unit went from $250 to $377, but yeah, it’s a contract. If you clear out on the 2nd of the month, you’re still paying for the whole month.

The facility is nice but the reason they only get 2 stars is because of the lack of communication and rent hikes. They raised my rent twice in the two years I had them and I didn’t get notified once. They claim they sent a notice to my house even though I have paperless as my option. I never got the notice because it was the wrong address but even then I have mail forwarding so I would’ve gotten it. That just shows that they never sent it. First price increase was by $10 then this year they hiked it up to an additional $25 dollars but kept saying it was a 25% increase which is still above all the other storage companies in the area. When I caught them in their lie I asked to speak to a manager who I played phone tag with for several days and kept referring to me as Mr. when I am clearly a woman. At the end of the day it was just too much to keep going through especially for a 5x5. Hopefully they can resolve this issue so that future customers don’t have this problem because the facility is nice and properly maintained. I hate to see a business fall because employees don’t know what they’re doing.

When there was an issue with the security features of this facility following a storm they provided no notification to their customers. An email I wrote to cubesmart about two weeks ago: To whom it may concern: Hello! It’s been a financial burden since the flood at cubesmart… I just found out 08/17/2021 that the insurance company does not cover flood insurance (unless a pipe broke). Also, Nicole Napier from the Great American Insurance Group finally called me one minute after I spoke to her supervisor. I have left weekly messages with her during the last 4 weeks. Customer service from her was not helpful. Communication would of remedied this issue. Rob was the supervisor and was quite helpful. So, back to the storage unit. It was a rough weekend because I had to change my work schedule (calling out) and rent a vehicle to get all my stuff out ASAP. I believe I got all my stuff out of the unit that Sunday. A branch hits the rental truck and damages the side mirror and windshield. So, I have that cost to take care of... I'm out a quality mattress, cost to repair a windshield and side mirror, and OT hours at work that weekend at the hospital. >>> For some odd reason the website of cubesmart stated that I gave them five stars a month ago. I’m sorry that is false advertising on reviews….

If I could give 0 stars here I would. After a rainstorm about half of our climate controlled unit was flooded and we got a call to inspect and ultimately remove all of our items. The manager immediately said they are not liable and would not help with any moving arrangements. He did direct us to our insurance plan we got through Cubesmart. Some of our stuff was damaged and had to be thrown out. Unclear how much of this will be covered by insurance since their policy says it doesn’t cover floods, only minimal water damage. When we called, the manager was sometimes unresponsive and sometimes sounded irritated that we were asking questions. Our unanswered phone calls were often routed to Cubesmart’s customer service who had no helpful information and most of the time said they never even heard about the flood. Would have been nice if they were more in the loop and could have helped us out a bit.

A great place to store your belongings. Great for short term use. But, long term, every year there's an increase on renting your unit and there is a $3.95 convenient charge if you pay over the phone which is ridiculous. There is an average yearly increase of $25 per year.

I I'm highly recommended CubeSmart for all your storage needs. I had needed storage quickly so I called several places in EHT area. Most we're already full, or did not have the size unit I need it. I've gotten too small units in two separate places. Then I called CubeSmart spoke with Dave, and he made an opening for a five by five. Then call me to tell me that he had a 10 by 10 available within 5 days. Explain the policy and said I could upgrade from the five by five. Then gave me a n unit 10 x 10. On every visit and phone call Dave or other staff members where always available and accommodating to me. I have recommended CubeSmart to several others in the other storage units I was, and we'll be keeping just CubeSmart as my storage area. Dane has great customer service and satisfaction and met all my needs.

Extremely expensive and continuous price increases each time I turn around . Originally I was using the units for 6 months until I found a new house. However, unforseen circumstances turned that to now 3 years and they have chose not to work with me on a long term situation because they feel they have you pinned into a corner thinking nobody will go through moving everything out of 3 units to save maybe $70 a month by possibly getting everything into 2 units . Other than the ridiculous cost....its a clean facility. But they are about to lose $400 a month from me as I am about to just sell everything in the units

*All in all, not a bad storage place but be aware the prices due fluctuate per month without any real explanation and there are some hidden costs when you first go to sign up (lock, insurance,..). Customer service is okay until you need a refund.
