Cubesmart saved the day! After researching and calling around, I found most places were overcharging and were just out to rip me off. Cubesmart offered the best prices and was the most affordable. Overall positive experience, as usual. Mike and Christina, who run the location, are always a pleasure to deal with. The only complaint would be the company's lack of any discount for existing customers when you rent a second unit. I don't see any valid reason why, just because I have been a customer for several years now, that I should be told that any promotional offers on an additional unit do not apply to me. It shows no loyalty to your customers.

I was able to reserve a small storage space very easily online. The monthly pricing was excellent with an incentive consisting of 1/2 off for current month. I took the deal. I moved in on the scheduled date with the procedure completed quickly through the expertise of the office staff. The space is fine with a cart available in the hall and property gate opening and closing seamlessly via my phone. At this point I am pleased with the service provided by the Cube Smart organization.

Renter beware! I rented a climate controlled unit at this facility. When I went to clean out the unit the building was musty smelling and humid. While removing my belongings I found many of my belongings had mold and mildew on them. When I brought up my concerns to the Desk Attendant Christina she was very pleasant, took my report and the pictures I had taken and told me it would be escalated to the district manager. Unfortunately when I spoke with the district manger Tony D. he told me there was nothing he could do and I should have taken out more insurance to cover the loss of my belongings. The storage unit was costly and I was very disappointed that despite paying for a climate controlled unit my belongings were ruined in a short period of time. I was more disappointed that upper management appears to be uninterested in rectifying this issue and want to warn other renters there belongings may be at risk

Hi, Unfortunately one of the worst experinces here Policy (0 out of 5): My unit which I reserved online with an offer started for $147.26/month and ended up being $240.18/ month after less than a year. Then I see a the same size unit with better access availble for $97.80, less than half the price, which I'm allowed to reserve but since I'm an existing member I can't actually get, I can only reserve it. Not sure why they didn't realize I'm an exisiting member while reserving it and sending me a confirmation email address on the same email for both units. This is same SCAM POLICY that most subscription gyms uses to lock you in and start hiking their prices and there's nothing you can do about it. Service (1 out of 5): -The elevator close to the unit wasn't working for at least three weeks so I had wheel everything all around the whole building twice. -The light in the unit is very dim and there's no way to even plug your own light, makes it hard to see, organize or do anything inside, I asked them multiple times about just raising the intensity of the light since they are on motion sensors and are off by default most of the time. -Bathroom is never accesible, even though it's a code gated facility, like who are we protecting the bathroom from, paying customers? Thank God there are multiple other Storage places in the area... Update: The Elevator is still not working and I had to move out my unit making multiple trips across the whole building to the other elevator which took the whole day.

This is the first time my chorus needed a storage unit and it was so easy to make a reservation at CubeSmart. When we got there, Michael, the manager was so kind, helpful and easy to work with. Even though he was so busy and needed to go to another CubeSmart site, he stayed to help me check out the storage space, show me how the lock worked and was just generally so helpful. The storage unit was clean, the perfect size and worked out well. When we had to give up the unit, it was very easy to do so. I would definitely use CubeSmart again if we need a storage unit in the future.

CubeSmart Storage : Located @ Freehold NJ -on Route 9 South is FANTASTIC !! Michael the New Onsite Manager Rocks, he is so compassionate about his clients and his job as the Store Manager. He goes way out of his way for his clients and his is always so professional. The location is always clean and they have super clean bathrooms with access from outside the office and a nice bathroom inside the office space. Everything onsite works and the entire place is spotless. They even offer their own Box Truck for local people moving into their property ! 5 Thumbs Up Folks. !!

I moved from another storage facility to cube smart rt.9 freehold about 7 years ago... best move ever..I'm extremely happly..Mike..that works inside the office is great..he takes so much time going over the units, prices and what is best for you. .size and best price ..they run many specials and he always let's you know the best rate for your needs..the facility is immaculate..inside and out...always..extremely safe..I have absolutely no problem coming there by myself at night..well lite inside and out and camera's everywhere..again inside and out..also the property manager lives on the premises that also makes you feel very safe..love the place..xoxo :)

We were moving and Freehold Movers (great place to use) told us to get a 10x25 storage unit. We needed unit for about a month and a few days. Most places don’t have that big. My wife was on the internet searching and ended up talking with a manager for Cube Smart who got us a 10x20 and a 10x10 for a great price and promised us no hanky Pankhurst and extra charges when we would show up . Other places would cycle to the beginning of the month and I would pay for time I didn’t need. Frank at Freehold handled the actual details and was extremely helpful and worked with me on our problem, There are cheaper places (maybe) but the service and the honesty at Cube Smart was best and well worth it.

Very helpful staff, clean facility (including rest room!) and climate controlled units are comfortable to be in while moving things in or out. My only complaint would be the transition from the concrete to pavement at the end of the main building is poor and it's hard to get heavy carts up or down.

I would rate this place with 10 stars if it were possible. Transitioning out of active duty military is already a huge burden now add the moving part and it could become overwhelming. I was greeted by very friendly staff (Frank Capell) who was very knowledgeable on prices and storage space availability. After searching a few other storages in the local area, it was evident that this place was by far had the best rates, offered a 1st month incentive and by renting with them you have a moving truck to use at your leisure ($10 service fee and fuel). I reccomend anyone searching for storage space to use CubeSmart! Thank you for your excellent service.

This is a great place to store your belongings. Every time I go to my storage unit the facility is always clean and there are always carts available to help me move things into my unit. Recently I needed a truck to move out of my current location. I met with Frank Capell the store manager and he had the truck for the day I needed and the truck was mine for the day. Also it was the best price for such a large truck. I was able to get everything moved in one trip. Frank made the whole thing easy for me. His customer service and professionalism are top notch! BT

Visited CubeSmart today to switch to a different size storage unit. Dealt with Nelida who was PHENOMENAL. Helpful, diligent, kind, and very thorough. Even though it was busy and the phone was ringing and people were coming in, she stayed calm and collected. She answered all my questions and was wonderful to deal with. I'm very grateful to her for all her help. CubeSmart is very lucky to have such a dedicated, diligent, customer-focused employee! In the past, I've dealt with Bill at CubeSmart and he was also great. The facility is clean and well kept. The grounds are spotless and my interactions to date have all been very positive. Even during this coronavirus pandemic and with all the limitations and restrictions that now exist, these folks do a fabulous job. I'd highly recommend folks rent from here. Nothing but positive experiences on my part!

Frank was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a process that would otherwise be a drag (lets be honest there is nothing exciting about opening a storage unit) quite interesting with his anecdotes. Took only 10-15 minutes to finish all of the paperwork and I was able to start moving my wares into my unit.

I'm closing out 3 other storage locations that I have to move them into my new CUBEsmart unit in Freehold! Does that tell you anything? I'm a longtime storage renter because of the work I do which requires a complete pack up and store of my home be longings. Yes, I have to pack up my lifelong memories such as my first radio from my father and a hand knit sweater my mom made on a special Christmas when they had no money. Junk and storage collateral for most, irreplaceable priceless memories for me. Other storage places have treated me in such careless ways after feeding their meter for years and then after a friends experience with CUBEsmart I decded to make this consolidated move to CUBEsmart. Both Frank and Bill ,the top guys that make this place special are always there when you call. With all the health stresses I'm currently facing now can you imagine what feels like to have someone say that not only do they have a great temperature controlled room for you for less money, they have an on site truck for you to rent and guys that you can hire to move you. Yeh! You know what, life has tossed me around enough and sometimes you need someone to put there arm on your back and say "hey we've got this,don't worry"! I called around to about 8 different storage places choose this one over all the rest because Frank and Bill were very professional and helpful. When moving and deadlines can be stressful Frank offered expert advice and help. Bill was just as friendly and helpful on the actual day.. I work 2 jobs and stop in to pay. I take advantage of the free coffee and wifi, and if I have a few minutes to kill, Frank is always up for a conversation. Bill is always helpful as well. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The deal breaker for me is the outrageous insurance they demand upfront before you move in. It is uber-expensive as well, $144 for $2000 or coverage. I'm already on a waiting list for other storage units.
