Their facility is clean and secure. However, they employ a systematic method to mislead customers. When you rent a unit, the rates initially seem reasonable, but shortly after you settle in, they raise the rates to unreasonable amounts.

Literally do not understand how they randomly close for HOURS at a time during the day. If you need a package delivered inside you never know when you can reach someone. Closures are never at an exact time it’s whenever they feel like it.

By far, the best part of your operation is when i needed to chat with your folks in the office/store. I want to especially acknowledge the assistance I had from Luis and Valerie. Even with many customer balls in the air, they made time and helped whenever I had a question or concern. I have a kid going to college in Hoboken and we needed a summer storage solution when they were moving out of dorms into an apartment. The experience at CubeSmart on Adams Street could not have been easier. Great and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Plenty of parking. Easy access. The staff at 1312 Adams is the absolute BEST. Konstantine has been the most amazing manager, he answered ALL of my questions and assisted with finding the exact storage unit I was looking for. He personally took down my info to call me if one of the lockers I was looking for opened up (which it did the next day). Iris was fantastic in helping me set up the second locker and working through technical difficulties with the online reservations. Luis is so patient with the million questions I have, he gave me a tour of 1040 and 1312 when I was initially doing all the research. He just helped me today with setting up storage units at better rates, meeting all the same criteria as the original lockers. I have recommended them to all my friends in Hoboken. They made the leasing, moving and storing process seamless. Thank you to all of them for helping my life become a little less cluttered.

Not all self storage companies are the same. cubeSmart stands out not just for their bright and clean locations but also because they have great people who work at these locations. At this Hoboken location I am a repeat customer (getting additional units for my company and separately for myself). Update (3 or 4 years later). I upped this to 5 stars because we’ve had an overall solid experience. The facility is consistent and safe and cleaner than most. We recently upgraded to a larger sized unit (5x10) and are very happy with it. The employee who set us up was great. we just moved into CubeSmart. So far, overall we are happy we chose them. Driving into this facility is great and it is VERY easy to get from your car to your unit. The facility also seems plenty secure and was a great temperature. The only reason I give 4 vs 5 stars is our 5 x 5 also is home for an external fire extinguisher (which comes into our unit) and there is a pipe in the back corner that has a wall built around it. Given that we chose a 5 x 5 and it was already potentially gonna be a tight fit for everything we had, this would have been good to know ahead of time, or when you get a unit that is not the true space your are renting they give you a 5% discount or something along those lines. Again, overall, we are happy we chose this location in Hoboken and I will update this if i have any reason to change from 4 stars.

Konnie and Hank were so helpful, concise and easy to work with. After paying for a unit online, I went to the facility later that week and felt that my unit was too small. On the spot, I requested for another unit. Konnie and Hank were knowledgeable and able to quickly give me access to another storage unit which was only 18 dollars more! The facility is in a great location, new, clean, easy to navigate and has plenty of parking. Great Facility and I highly recommend. :)

I have an oversized work vehicle that I park at CyberSmart and in the past i have had trouble finding parking but the Manager Constantine has gone over and beyond when it comes to customer service. I came here after a horrific experience at another facility in Hoboken. Albert was amazing, he was helpful, knowledgeable, and quick. We toured the space, everyone was following social distancing guidelines and the facility itself is nice and new. Though I live and (have stored) my valuables in Manhattan, recent events inspired a trip to Hoboken. CubeSmart on Adams is my 1st choice based on previous reviews. Astounding. A tour of the facility and assistance in my renting a unit felt more like an afternoon at The Four Seasons. The service, efficiency, detailed-oriented speed of renting- all lived up to the 5 star reviews, and surpassed them. I believe the facility Manager "Konstantine" took care of my new account. He must treat his staff like gold. The optimistic and ProCustomer atmosphere in this specific location is so strong, none of that could be faked.

The employees at this Adam's street location were super helpful. Nisha was very thorough and patient with me, throughout the whole process and answered any question. Konnie was absolutely pleasant, professional and assisted when needed. A great leader, He was present allowed his staff to work independently but was ready to give assistance when needed. Brendan was awesome! I had a situation around closing time where my key fell down the elevator shaft! Brendan was so helpful, took down my info, contacted the manager and let her know the situation and the elevator people so they could start working on it. My key was successfully retrieved 2 days later! Brendan was on top of and kept me informed as soon as he got the key back. I would definitely recommend his services!

This place was a lifesaver!! We moved into our new apartment on the 1st and our couch didn’t fit in the door. We called Cubesmart and they were so great, Albert specifically! Update: after a 2+ years of renting... Usually very clean. Elevator used to break down all the time, but I think they figured it out. My only concern is security. I don't like seeing the gates wide open on the weekends when no one is in the office. I know the security pin for the elevator is supposed to prevent unauthorized access, but there have been times when that system is offline. What a great experience. Vanessa is awesome. She is so nice, polite, and energetic. She explained everything so clearly, even explaining every page on the signature pad. The facility is clean and looks very modern. Hand trucks. I loved working with Albert when I first decided to use this storage facility. I reserved 2 units thinking I would need them. When I got there with my truck, I told Albert I only wanted the 10x20 first and if I need the 10x10 additional I will let him know. He tried hard to get me to buy the second one that wouldn’t be prorated if I didn’t need it. This is a storage unit, why are you trying to up sell me?? Also, the prices of their products is SO SO much more $$$ than uhaul and terrible quality!! Everything else is great here!

I literally, am just trying to get information on my storage unit passcode, and the representative just hung up on me. I've been trying to get help for hours now concerning my login code, but they aren't that helpful. This was very rude service, and I'm really second guessing keeping my business here. It was literally simple information that I need help with, but the guy refused and hung up.

Love working with Cubesmart. The staff are friendly and are very accommodating. Love Hank and Vanessa. They’re great, and always ready to help. Hank even helped me with moving some stuff off site spur of the moment. It was so unexpected and so wildly helpful. Our organization stores equipment on site and both the location and security offered at Cubesmart are second to none!

The one member of staff there (who happens to be the manager) was extremely passive aggressive, hit the person I was with with the elevator door, and had an attitude when all I was asking was a simple question. Don’t plan on keeping my stuff here past a month

The facility was very clean, and Albert was very helpful and friendly. They had small carts you could borrow at your leisure. It's also in a convenient location. You can take the bus, or light rail I believe.

Hi! My mom is downsizing and I wanted to find a place that was close, clean and had real people that I could talk to and who would talk me through the process. Today I found Brandon. He is efficient knowledgeable and a really nice person... and I would have said that without seeing a picture of his adorable new kitten. We had a wonderful experience with the Hoboken CubeSmart! We had another moving/storage company cancel my daughter’s move mid-afternoon on the last day of May. We were desperate to make other arrangements at the last minute and Albert R. went out of his way to help us. First he helped us pick a unit which was the right size and then went through all the paperwork and terms of the contract with us. He was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Hours later, when our terribly horrible day came to an exhausting end, Albert personally kept the elevator running so we could complete our move in time. Thank you so much for saving the day!

Cubesmart is fantastic! I needed to find same day storage and they were able to get me set up with a storage unit on the phone. Once I got there, everyone was so nice and it was such an easy paperwork process to complete. Albert worked with me and was such a pleasure! He took his time to explain the facility, which is brand new, and he even stayed late to let me finish unpacking my boxes! 10/10 would recommend using them for any storage needs!

If I could give them 20 stars... I would! I rolled into this location after driving about 1700 miles...there was confusion on my part about office hours and gate hours...and time was NOT on our side... Vanessa was my first ANGEL.... She didn't have to do it...but she went out of her way to help us...her kindness was so unexpected I almost cried! The next morning everything that could go wrong did... (welcome to new york!) and we were running out of time to unload... and my second ANGEL... Albert appreared... when he saw everyone was trying so hard to get the job done...he did EVERYTHING in his power...AND MORE to help us... Even the manager, (who had clocked out for the day) was so kind and generous as well! We were truly BLESSED by the souls at this location. They turned what surely could have been a nightmare... into a dream. Thank You So Much!

I have been incredibly happy with the service here. Everyone has been very nice and always in a good mood, they made checking in easy and made sure we had everything we needed. On the day we moved in, the movers were running late and almost didn't make it to the unit before close. The staff were incredible, and stayed in contact with us over the phone while everything played out, and made sure that all of our things were in the unit before the elevators shut off. I was so grateful for their help, which you don't always expect from large chains.

I moved from ExtraSpace uptown due to less than stellar pricing and service. This CubeSmart is great. Virtually brand new and Vanessa, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful my move-in day. Would highly recommend.

UPDATE: 2 years into my utilizing CubeSmart at this location. The staff continues to be very professional and the facility is immaculate, still. They just installed a new access gate so hours for access have increased to 6am to 10pm. Lastly, the management of this location has commited to working with it's customers related to billing. If a corporate notification you recieve seems unfair, then contact the management to discuss your options. I appreciate the support they have shown me as a consumer. The corporate predatory practices are still in place across the entire industry so there is really no way to avoid them. So pick your poison and find a location with GREAT people like this one who will do everything on their power to make you happy. Great facility with better people. The facility is brand new and is kept very clean. Vanessa made the sign up process extremely easy and was able to address all my concerns and answer most of my questions. I would suggest this facility to anyone looking for a quality storage location with really wonderful management. Vanessa was a wonderful professional to work with. I also spoke with Brendan whom was also very accommodating. I have been utilizing self storage for over 10 years. The one area that ALL these companies lack is in transparency. None of these companies will commit to what your rental increase will be when your unit is up for renewal. They will just continue to raise your rate until you say something or move. I find this practice to be PREDATORY and DEVIOUS. These corporations have general policies in place to take advantage of their customers. Once your belongings are in a location, who is going to want to move them to save money. There is a cost to moving your items which include time, effort and ultimately money. They know this and use it as part of their business model. It is a shame. Buyer be ware and stay on top of your contract.

My experience looking at and renting the space was excellent. Couldn’t have been much better. I was a bit surprised at the “required insurance” which I challenged. Thankfully had my homeowners insurance information available on my phone which allowed me to not pay an additional charge. Right now it is Sunday, October 7th, 2018 8:45 a.m. I’m waiting outside with a carload of stuff to unload with a small crew waiting for my return. The opening time is 8:30. No one is here yet. This has been the only glitch to date. My family loves it. It's easy to get in and out of, drop stuff off, etc. Very well thought out overall and super happy with the way it's working for us. That is, assuming the employee that is opening shows up. Stuff happens. Had there been a way to reach someone this would have been a 5-star review. Regretfully, reaching someone proved problematic. No answer, left messages, no return call. When the 800# was answered by a live person then things swung into action. That was a couple hours later.

Your hours for the 1312 Adams St, Hoboken location are an absolute disgrace. The worst part about the situation is that when I was signing up for storage on 3 different occasions your employees "promised" that you were working to expand them. However, at that point your Sunday hours were 8-5. So you in fact went the opposite way and cut the hours down to 11-3, which is unacceptable. What type of business has store hours of 4 hours in the middle of a Sunday? I'd like for the owner or a store manager to get into contact with me regarding this situation. My fiance has her bridal shower today (Sunday) and we now can't access our unit to put gifts in, and this bridal shower was the reason I got the storage in the first place. I am NOT happy and am pretty close to cancelling my contract.

This was by FAR the best renting experience I've ever had at a storage unit. The close proximity to my office in NYC, first exit from Lincoln Tunnel, is perfect and the staff was perfectly helpful in every way.

Don't bother, great new facility that is never open . The hours are awful, and they will tell you they are working in expanding them .guess what? They are not . This is a franchise, not a corporate owned facility, the owner does not want to expand the hours. Open 4 hours on a Sunday, come on . Take a look around you have options that are more user friendly, go to them
