the whole process of reserving my unit through to the rental and payment was seamless. Adding my friend as a referral was simple. Just being able to arrive and my lock was in the unit and we could just start moving our items inside without having to go the office was amazing. I had looked into several storage facilities in the North Bergen area and this one was by far the best. Konstantin was just great, very helpful in every way, on the ball and made the stressful experience that much easier. I can’t thank him enough. ?? The facility is like new, very clean, organized, accessible for multiple pickup/drop offs at the same time without it being a problem or inconvenience for any particular customer, pricing is very favorable when compared to other local facilities and seems very secure. I was working with a POD that potentially needed to remain overnight and that wasn’t a problem at this facility (I wish I would have known that sooner as it was an issue at the others I was thinking of using). For anyone using a POD, be advised that you pay extra for a same day drop off and pickup because most facilities will not allow an overnight stay. This is a plus at this facility because it costs as much as 1 month’s rent for a medium size unit, approximately $150, with some POD companies. So, it potentially saves you money up front. I would highly recommend this facility. ?????????? (5 thumbs up out of 5)

I've been a cubesmart customer for over 3 years and moved to this location as a function of my life planning. This location is by far the cleanest I've been. Most have been in NYC. The air smells the cleanest and the customer service is also, by far, the best I've experienced. The person managing the property on my visit was Konstantin and he's a swell person and man. This was an awesome storage place for my toolbox. Adequate space and easy access to the elevator to take it to my unit. Both Konstantin and Joe were very helpful and made the process easy. The NB facility is located in a secluded area of a parking lot with no security gate. The front door is sometimes left open at night. Plus they don't seem to appreciate someone who is long term, with multiple rooms, and pays in advance to try to avoid increases. They actually returned a check to me for a storage room after I tried to pay my rent for the entire year of 2023, on December 1, 2022 before I received notice of an increase.

Nice clean facility but not worth renting imo, they mark up the prices drastically every couple of months for no reason. They also claim to be climate controlled but i’ve had many occasions in the summer where the units are humid and hot and now it’s winter and it’s literally freezing inside. Wi-fi & service is non-existent inside the building so don’t expect to make or receive any phone calls while in the building. Also the building policies make no sense. I was moving into one of my units so i had a few moving carts parked outside my unit and an employee came over and said to me “you’re not allowed to have things in the hallway” then on another occasion i was told i was not allowed to bring the carts inside my unit.. so which is it? how do you expect people to use their units if you can’t be INSIDE them or outside them when loading/unloading. I decided to move elsewhere to avoid the ridiculous price increases.

This facility is the worst! Waited 30mins for a dolly none in site, their elevator and doors are 9 out of 10 times broken! On top of that my storage early 2022 was $124 then mid 2022 it went to $139 and now end of 2022 it is $152! If you are going to randomly increase customers rate with no notification atleast have the decency to keep up with your facility. There is no rhyme or rythme to how you charge customers bevause my husband has the same unit and hasn’t been increased. You randomly increase prices and don’t take care of your facility , bunch of crooks!

For several times, I came across the door being left open after office hours and basically inviting anyone outside to go in and do whatever they want. I’ve seen someone going inside and locking himself in the bathroom for a long time. This place should be a secure location for their customers’ assets, not open for some people to go in and out anytime they want to. Most likely, the office people leaving the electronic door open for other customers and not closing it because they probably didn’t finish their moving. Today is Saturday, tomorrow the office isn’t open. Not even mentioning the whole night and this door will be open until Monday morning. Totally unacceptable! Someone can go in and break into any unit they want to. They can go and start a fire or leave the water in the bathroom on and cause flooding. Not only these, I can’t even imagine the bugs and pests going inside and getting inside the units. I pay $160 for this?

Absolutely clean and climate controlled. The nicest facility I’ve seen. The hallways are even carpeted to keep noise down, and music is always playing to keep you company. My only complaint is that the location and nature of the building means that there is zero cellphone service while inside, and no wifi. That made it impossible to communicate with my son in LA as to what things he wanted to be shipped to him. It also felt a little dangerous that calling 911 was not an option in an emergency, though they do have an emergency panel by the elevator. A commercial cellphone signal booster system would be a big help in a building like this.

Edit to add: I went this weekend to empty out our unit as the price increase is ridiculous. One of the two elevators didnt work and there were several people doing moves so lots of traffic and time consuming. Plus no air conditioning was on ( despite them claiming it is tempature controlled false only the office has an ac on) and there were a bunch of flies like alot inside. Which I hope doesn't not mean that there are just decaying rats in all the rat traps they have everywhere. Do NOT go here. In the one year we have rented they have raised their prices 3 TIMES!! Absolutely despicable and NO one to call and complain to either.

The manager is a great person, always a straightforward person and willing to help. Unfortunately I feel like their co-worker doesn't have the same customer service skills, today this person saw me walking towards the elevator and wasn't even able to stop it for me even though she saw that I was sliding in the door to get into the elevator. This person never greets when she is by herself, she only does it when she is showing the place to new clients. It's unbelievable and outrageous that she can't be cordial even with a pregnant woman. Her service is definitely lousy, I'm very sorry if she doesn't like her job or if her life is so miserable to act this way with a costumer. Too bad they can't have more employees like the manager. The only reason why I'm mentioning this it's bc I don't want her to normalize this behavior with the costumers. I hope she improves her costumer service skills.

Julie (the manager/customer service rep) was wonderful from move-in to move-out - she explained all the details of the contract and answered questions throughout the experience. The facility is newer than most, very convenient and clean. I used the facility for over a year and did not experience any issues. Note: there was a mice infestation that was handled expeditiously and did not deter from the five star experience. Please do not store food in storage - if you must, make sure it's sealed in plastic containers.

These guys are absolute legends. I want to give a shoutout to an employee Brendan in particular. Our movers forgot the storage unit key for a multi-state move where we were out of town and CubeSmart found a way to communicate with our movers and get a locksmith there to complete the move. I'm floored; it wasn't their mistake but they provided a solution, and even called us throughout to give us updates. Above and beyond puts it lightly. Besides that, good clean, high tech unit. We enjoyed working with them even before all the above. Would give them 10 stars if I could.

Staff was very professional and friendly. Building / units seem new, and the facility is very clean. There are hand carts available by each entrance to move your things. And there are plenty of storage/packing supplies available for purchase in the front office. The location is good for a storage space - behind a shopping plaza and out of the way. I was able to back our truck right up to the entrance to move my things. The building is very secure as well - access codes are needed for both the entrances and the elevator. I've never had to rent a storage space before, but I'm very happy with the facility itself and the service here.

First let me say I can be and often am a pain as a customer . With that being stated your North Bergen Cubesmart staff especially the manager truly were considerate, kind and bent over backwards to make sure everything that would or could be done to make my experience easier was done. I would I could say it was my charm but I saw them be extra kind on multiple occasions to other customers as well. The are the prime reason that when I return to New York again in the late winter why I will go out of my way to rent there again.

I live in Jersey City, but snagged a really great priced storage locker here at this new North Bergen location in June 2020 during the pandemic! WAY better pricing and totally worth the 15 minute drive from JC/Hoboken to get there. The facility is very nice, clean and new looking. They have everything, the shop with essential items up front, entrances in the front and back, elevators, and lots of moving carts. The staff is incredible! Everyone was so nice and very helpful in getting me sorted out. If you need a locker and are in the vicinity, definitely save your money and get one here. Lots of specials going on right now, too! And don't forget the #1 rule of storage lockers: "you 1000% don't need as big of a locker as you think you do!!" Just be sure to box everything up nicely so you can play tetris with your items and really use that 8 feet height they give you!!

I showed up a little after the office had closed with movers to place some contents in storage. We found out during the process of moving in that the cube I had selected wouldn't be large enough. Erik was incredibly helpful in coming over (after hours) to help find a space that would accommodate the contents we were looking to store. Special thank you to Erik for going above and beyond to help me avert potential disaster at the storage facility and make a difficult process (moving) a little easier! The space was clean and well run, with a good price. Couldn't be happier with decision to go with CubeSmart! Updated for the move out experience - CubeSmart again made everything super easy on moving day. Thanks to Brendan for his help. While storage seems like a commodity, picking the right company really did make a huge difference. Thanks again, CubeSmart!

We were not sure about the size of the room we were going to need so we schedule an appointment for the day we thought we’d have everything ready. We had a 10am appointment and ended up showing up like 5 min before the office closed. Yvonne took care of me, showed me the room and started with the paperwork. A few minutes later we were ready to move our stuff in. The place was super clean and everything looked super organized. I give them a 6th star for the super cool music playing in the background which made moving tons of stuff a fun experience.

When I opened my unit in January 2020, the gentleman, James Mendoza helped me, he opened the door to greet me and my wife, he was very pleasant, knowledgeable and caring about my needs, he explained how the security works with putting my Code number in to get into the building and also that I had to do it on the elevator, I really like that. I would say, that working with the public, as I do also, image is everything, and if you hire more employees like James you will have an extremely competent staff throughout your organization.

I have been a customer of CubeSmart for about 3 years. In that time my rental rate went from 80 to 140 a month for a 5x10. Units that size on the first floor are currently renting for less than what I am paying. Rent increases are at the discretion of the facility. Also they no longer provide a customer restroom. I would highly recommend to do your homework and read your contract before using this facility. Long term rental is not a good option at CubeSmart. The workers there are nice they have no control of the policy. I am going to find a less expensive place. Also if you need to use the restroom they no longer provide them.

Out of all the experiences I've had with self-storage establishments, CubeSmart in North Bergen has been the BEST. Manager Erik M is BY FAR the best employee I have met. He is knowledgeable, sincere, patient, and there is NO FINE PRINT in terms of pricing and all details pertaining to your storage needs. The establishment is clean, easy to access, and has plenty of parking. So happy I changed storage provider.
