move in was super easy, and customer service was great, only reason this gets a 2. Facility is a bit challenging to get in and out of due to the lack of shoulder on 46 and the hard turn into the facility. My unit turned out to be 30% smaller than advertised, was filthy dirty, damp, and very poorly lit. I have since moved my items to another storage facility. EDIT: Changing this review to 1 star. As you can see below I was offered to share feedback of my experience by an employee at cubesmart. I reached out to them and it's been many weeks with no response. Customer service was the ONLY thing going for this place, and now they've lost that in my eyes.

This place for storage is great you get a nice size storage unit for the price being paid but when I parked in the parking lot after hours waiting on someone the lady inside came out and started yelling at me that the store is closed and I must leave even though the storage unit is 24/7 so it was unnecessary to yell at me while I was just waiting on someone and even after that informing her of this I still got an attitude.

Nancy from the Parsippany office has been excellent. A real help. She was well organized helped me to find the right unit very professional handling multiple clients by herself keeping up the property very polite her customers love her. Nancy is an 11 out of a 10. Nancy in Parsippany was the best. She is the type of employee companies like this need to keep. From the very beginning Nancy was managing the entire operation from customer service to unit management and sales. She monitored the location constantly. Whenever I was there she was managing inside and outside. It’s almost like she ran it like her own business. You have to handle all the day to day tasks and it’s difficult when you are handling the customer issues. When I was there she was always handling everyone’s issues. I don’t think businesses like this could survive without the Nancy’s of the world to be there putting out the fires day by day.

I rented a unit there about two weeks ago. I made the reservation the night before, was contacted the next morning and all went smoothly. I was also able to rent a truck from the facility to move my boxes in the same day which was super helpful and a great price as well. Also, plenty of trolleys available to transport your items in and out which was a huge help. The unit was clean as well and good security situation. Thank you to Nancy who made the entire process stress free and easy. She was friendly and super helpful and provided wonderful customer service. Update! My movers damaged the latch on the storage unit so that it couldn't be locked. This happened on a Sunday but, luckily, there was an employee on site, though they were technically closed. She was unable to fix the latch (it needs to be replaced) but was able to get me a different unit for me so that I could move and secure my items within an hour of identifying the issue. The main building's units are quite nice and customer service was awesome.

Was charged another month ($215) even though I was moved out of unit and the lock was off. Had covid at the time so I told the office I would not be coming in to close anything out. I explained that I would be out on the date given. I was a customer for 3 years on auto payments and had the second unit for 6 months on auto - this is how I am treated ? Even after talking to the managers they said corporate wouldn’t issue the refund. Not a good look. They hike rent up every 6 months, I would find somewhere else.

The people there are great. Not having 24 hour access for the rate they charge is one of their shortcomings and their rate increases are on the steep side & quite often. I've been there a couple of years now & their rate for my unit has more than doubled. Plus, I NO longer have any lights inside my unit since they converted to solar panels.

Horrible experience! We rented a storage unit since 2016 at Cubesmart in Parsippany, NJ. The facility is NOT rodent and pest controlled as they claim prior to renting. We were told that there is monthly extermination and maintenance. However, when we went to retrieve our possessions, we were astonished to find a severe rodent infestation with urine and feces all over the unit. Please be aware, there was no food in our second floor unit, only furniture, boxes, and other belongings. They replaced the garage doors and obviously ransacked our unit. All of the contents in our storage unit were rummaged through and thrown about with damage to all of our belongings and furniture; with broken lamps, paintings, as well as family heirlooms. We also had items that were stolen from the unit. We attempted to get compensation through Cubesmart’s insurance, only to be rejected as they claim that rodent damage is not covered through the insurance the provide. Please be aware that this damage was not only caused by rodents, but also vandalized by their people as well. After paying four years of rent, our entire storage unit is now unsalvageable. I am pregnant and cannot be exposed to these toxins. We cannot salvage any of our possessions and I don’t know how to even begin to assess the damages. This is unacceptable that Cubesmart is not reimbursing us for this disaster! Do not rent from this company. It’s a nightmare!

Horrible experience! Today was our move in day, cleared our old storage unit in this cold and got everything ready to move in and the elevator does not work. Great so now we call the 1800 number for help since it’s our first time I thought may be there is a different way to open the elevator, but I guess not and we just ask where is the staircase as we could not find it and they did not know or the manager was not interested in saying anything. To make it worst the 1800 help Centre just hung up the phone and was simply super rude. In a nutshell if there’s emergency and you need your things the elevator does not work. Horrible horrible experience. Unhelpful and very careless people.

Reserving a unit online is the most convenient way to do business and be able to take advantage of online specials. I had the pleasure of being called by Elvis one minute after reserving online. He went over my reservation, my needs, and the requirements on my first visit to his location. Upon arrival the next day I was welcomed by Ed, who quickly rode me to the reserved storage unit in a golf cart. Unfortunately it wasn't the appropriate size for what I needed it for and Ed quickly began to run down options for me, I of course selected the recommended unit, signed the papers and left very pleased and happy with my experience starting from my online reservation. Ed and Elvis work great together and are a perfect asset to Cubesmart!

This has been the easiest moving experience of my life. Ed explained everything simply, helped me get the right size and really made moving easy. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a friendly hassle free experience.

Update to the post below: When dropping off my first boxes, the manager or one of the managers came out to speak with me, and provided me with all the information I needed to straighten things out regarding insurance. He was extremely helpful. When I had submitted my questions to Cube Smart after logging into my account, whomever is on the receiving end of them, or their system as a whole, either didn't pass my messages along or just doesn't do anything with them. This is not the fault of anyone in the Parsippany location. I recommend calling/speaking directly to the staff when you need any help, as they are very friendly. Old post: Never got a response about changing out the insurance. It's pretty expensive and I would rather switch it out with another company that offers more protection for much less.

Ed Madan, the location Manager helped me with selecting and reserving a storage unit. I came once to "shop" the units and he was very helpful and non-pushy. I came the second time to reserve a unit and he was again very helpful. We agreed to start the rental a week from the reservation date and he made the administration process a snap. He was great and we even had some laughs throughout the process. Based on these initial observations, I'm sure a made a good decision to rent from him and Cube Smart.

This Cubesmart is great. I have been using them for almost a year now and just got another cube today. The process was so simple and easy. They are in a great location for anyone in the Parsippany, Morristown, and Florham Park areas. It’s very clean and well maintained. They have a truck you can use upon move in for only $10 which is a huge plus and money saver vs. using a U-haul. The people that work there, specifically the manager Ed, are so awesome to work with. They are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. It’s just a great experience all around. I highly recommend using this facility for your storage needs.

Ed and Elvis at store #0372 in Parsippany were very patient and understanding. I had to change my move in date a few times and they made sure that I had the the right date and unit that fit my needs. Ed had helped me deciding on the best unit that fits our need and budget I was very pleased and happy with how he took his time in helping me decided and he was very nice also the facility was so clean and well maintained that I let my 8 month old crawl around on the carpeted hallway! I am currently leasing a 2nd unit. I upgraded. The available accommodations , location, customer service, moving equipment and van all free for my use, at such a reasonable rate made this a no-brainer for me. My sales manager, Ed, was patient and kind as I asked a million questions. I will continue referring friends and family. My only concern has been that once the office is closed, there are no restrooms available. I understand the reasoning behind it, but it has been an issue at times. Also, I've talked with several Others who said having vending machines available would be helpful. Regardless, I'm a satisfied customer.

I contacted several facilities for storage and moving truck. I was able to find both at cube smart for a great price. The grounds are kept immaculate and the customer service from everyone ed, emerald and elvis at Parsippany location was wonderful. Ed was very informative helpful polite empathetic and compassionate toward my situation and need for the unit. Ed is what sold me and I made the decision as soon as we were done going over everything. I would use cube smart again in future and recommended to others .

Honestly, I wish there was such a thing as 0 stars, because 1 star is way too much credit. Elvis is NOT a nice person and he does not go above and beyond to help his customers AT ALL. I asked him once to add my name to my wife's account and was told that it could not be done. I called the 800 number and they did it right away. He also treats his employees just as horrible as he does his customers. Not sure how he was able to get any good reviews. I think they're staged.

Elvis Lugo was awesome. Courteous, efficient and friendly. It's what I expect and deserve as a customer. I have a competitor's storage facility 1 mile from my home but the staff was so petulant, condescending and rude that I went over to CubeSmart 8 miles away and have nothing to regret! Dave Brown was the person who helped me and he put in a lot of effort to make sure I was happy with my space. He looked to see if there were any promotions and was very helpful & informative. I would have given 5 stars but I am pretty sure the space is a bit smaller than advertised. In a different place, but same size unit, I had two pieces of equipment (one was huge) that I got rid of. What was left JUST fit into this current unit. I would not have been able to fit the equipment if I still had them. But, since what I do have does fit and I love the access and the price is very good, I am very pleased nonetheless.

The woman who assisted me was great and knowledgeable. She showed me my unit and explained all the lease information. However, I never received a confirmation call online and showed up without my homeowners insurance copy or a lock. I had to purchase their insurance and lock or I could not sign the agreement. I was extremely disappointed that this information was not given in advance.

Very friendly and responsive. The free truck was nice. Make sure you have them lift the door of the unit you are looking at . There was an unexpected lip in our unit which we specifically asked about. We can work around it, but should have opened the unit.

From the first step in to the office, Peggy was wonderful and made my experience fantastic. Though the call center misguided me about a rental truck, Peggy ensured that I would have one and took care of it. The facility is clean, the storage unit is fantastic. My only qualm is that I had to buy one of their cylinder locks when I already have a lock that I wanted to use. I wish they gave me an option rather than dictating what I can use. However, the price is great; especially since all the other storage places around here are much more expensive.

This place is by far the worst storage unit I've ever seen or used. Everything is crudely bolted together. The elevator is laughably slow. There are nails sticking out of the ceilings. The carts are all barely usable; all have crooked wheels and are not level. The units themselves have no lighting and pieces of sharp metal dangling from above. There is a an open space between units from the ceiling to about a foot down, meaning someone next to you could reach into your unit and grab or touch something, or even put something into your unit. There were people using an outdoor unit to run their auto repair businesses out of, with jacked up cars out in the parking lot, giving estimates on repairs, and drinking beer out in the open. UNREAL. And, you will problems reaching them on the phone and/or paying your bill. Trust me. This place is a horrible joke. I can't believe this place stays open.
