I didn’t want to put a review because I’ve been part CubeSmart for a few years now, but this location has changed a lot, From the Lady manager who most of the time has an attitude when you ask her of concerns or a question, about the facility it hasn’t been kept like it used to of cleanings and the carts being in order in their proper place, in the elevator area is always beeping the alarm box things continue I will surely be out, customer service was awesome before I never had a problem, it’s a quiet facility and easy too manage not sure why the lady manager has always had an attitude.

Do not rent here unless you want to waste a ton of money for someone else to ruin your things! I have been paying for a 10x10 climate controlled unit to store my belongings for the last 12 years. Not only has the rent gone up between $30-$80 a month the last 12 years, when I went to the facility to retrieve something I found about 2/3 of my belongings covered in mold (pretty much everything that wasn’t stored in plastic containers) The girl in the office that day (she was very nice, I will say that) took some photos and filed an incident report. The manager then called me the following Monday and basically informed me that CubeSmart is not responsible for damaged property, to contact the insurance. After a week of back and forth with the insurance company (Great American, which was the company CubeSmart suggested when we began our rental in 2012) they claim that the policy doesn’t cover any type of water damage. So I am basically screwed out of 12 years of payments (I started at $95 in 2012 and up until I termed my rental this week, I was paying $442 a month. Do the math, it’s over 5k, and that’s just for this year!) as well as the cost for all of my furniture and other ruined items I had to throw away. I could have just stored my belongings in my garage and ruined them for free. There is definitely a damp musty feeling in the building that claims to be “climate controlled” as well as mildew forming on the outer locks on multiple units near mine, as the pictures below show. I had brought this to the attention of an employee a few years back but she claimed the moisture was from the carpets being cleaned and the mold was “just dust”. The carpets have since been removed, if it was because of a mold issue, we were never informed.

I'm very disappointed in the service today despite having good reviews. I was confirmed for my move-in day 2 days prior and the associate was very kind and did mention she wouldn't be there the day I arrived. I arrived this morning in my rented truck and saw the sign on the door that they would be open during usual business hours today, however, everything looked dark with nobody inside. After giving the office benefit of the doubt that they had stepped away temporarily, I patiently waited. After 20 minutes or so I called customer service and they attempted twice to reach the facility with no answer (I also left a voice message as well). Since I purposely waited to sign my documents in-person, I had to do it on my phone. It then gave me the access code but didn't work. So again, I had to call customer service to troubleshoot the problem and I found out the manager was sick and called out without a replacement. She said there was an issue with the gate code and was on the phone with the company to fix that so I stayed on the line and waited. Eventually, after more than an hour since I arrived, I got in through the gate and lost signal when I got up to my designated unit. I once again had to call customer service because the unit I was assigned did not have a lock/keypad. Since there is no service in the unit, luckily I had someone with me who went up and down to check which units actually had the green lock/keypad for them to check if it was the correct size and vacancy. Finally, after searching and lots of back and forths, a unit was open and I was able to get in, however, there was no light source that worked so moving in the dark was just the cherry on top. Overall, very terrible experience in many ways from beginning to end and extremely unprofessional not having accountability for your business leaving customers to figure things out on their own. Major props to Miguel A. for helping me through this whole miserable experience.

If you're looking for long-term storage, be warned: your rent will be subject to significant routine increases. Since signing up a year and a half ago, my rent has gone up about 50% (from ~$50 to ~$75). One tip: they require you to purchase insurance for your unit and will be happy to tack that on to your rent. But you can decline their insurance and find much cheaper third party options online. The staff has been great, but clearly Cubesmart's business model is to lure people in with low initial prices and then jack up the rent, assuming that most people won't want to spend the time/energy/money to relocate.

Tim and his staff could not have been more helpful, attentive, or compassionate to me as I had to deal with the removal of my deceased family member's stored belongings in a large unit. The facility was immaculate - I joked you could "eat off the floor" it was so clean. Their professionalism made my stressful and challenging task much easier and productive. We used the cubesmart as a temporary storage for all of our furniture during our move. Tim is very nice and helpful. He knows all of his customers! After listening my description of the amount of stuff I have, he was able to give me a perfect storage space with easy access. I would say this is a place you can trust. Downside: you have to buy their special lock for the cube. The lock is kind of useless elsewhere. It seems a standard setup with cubesmart.

This place is a hidden gem when it comes to self storage. I needed something short-term and this was, in my opinion, the best option. This was our first time ever using a storage facility, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with Jill & Tim. They were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. We would definitely recommend this location if you're in need of storage. We are hoping not to move again for a very long time, therefore not needing any more storage units, but if we had to, we would definitely use them again!

Clean, safe, accessible, friendly. Renting this space has been one of the smartest decisions I've made! Tim was professional, friendly and I feel that I got a really good deal on our unit. I haven't been this excited about a product or service since I had laser eye surgery. (OK, weird comparison but it tells a story.)

The staff at CubeSmart were personable and attentive. They helped me understand what size unit was best for me and offered assistance with all decision making. Ted and Jill went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed to make my experience top notch. Ted explained to me the security system and how only current customers have access. The safe environment put my mind at ease. The customer service is outstanding, Jill brought out cold water one hot afternoon to those of us working in the sun and heat. What a nice personal touch! I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs storage.

NEVER rent from this business. I was told by Tim and Jill that credit cards would be accepted. My grandmother wanted to pay for the unit in full and they continually refused attempts at payment via check and then via credit card despite never having any previous problems with the card whatsoever. We literally emailed them continually and begged them to accept our payment. They refused, said they auctioned off our things, and then Tim refused to tell us which auction company he sold all of our possessions to. I don't think I've ever written a negative review about anyone before but this has been, by far, the most horrific business and experience my family has ever dealt with. Litigation was initiated and is currently in progress. Do NOT trust these people with your things!!!!

I was told to find a storage unit that was climate controlled, had good lighting and was local and so many more suggestions by friends and Cube Smart in Randolph NJ has surpassed everything I ever needed or wanted in a storage unit and believe me, I did look around. Besides having everything I wanted, the staff has always been considerate, helpful and friendly. A special shout out to Jill, who helped me out, way over the norm when I was hospitalized. Thank you so very much!! Have never encountered a single problem with this location. Again kudos and thank you!!

Storage is storage ... but what I really like about Cubesmart are the people - professional and they go the extra mile. I recently rented space at S. Salem and it was Jill and Nalijah who made me want to write a review. This is not my first experience w Cubesmart but this was exceptional - 1) responsive and listening to me - I mentioned I had a container that I shipped from abroad and Nalijah made a point of asking me about the size of the truck (all worked out well/no issues - she made sure there were no "surprises" and 2) went above and beyond - when I said the truck was arriving before their office opened (out of our control as it was coming from the Port), Jill changed her schedule to be present. I highly recommend Cubesmart because of the staff.

The unit it self is great. The customer service on the other hand is horrendous. I called today to find out about renting the truck they had. When I called I got a self serve menu with different options, only one to talk to an actual person was to reach the manager. That's fine, until the manager doesn't answer their phone for hours of me calling. So I tried another option and got a corporate person. They transfered me back to the same crappy menu I had in the first place. Hours later I finally reached a manager to find out we couldn't rent the truck today because it was too late in the day... very disappointed

Being offered a cold water on a hot day before loading my car was a kind act from Ang .Since she started theres no litter and the temperature is now perfect inside the building .Thanks Cubesmart for making an even better experience as time moves on.I learned that hiring the right people who care makes a happy customer !
