I wish I would have retrieved the young woman that helped me name. I believe it was Shantay, however she was absolutely amazing. She provided me with all the information I needed and showed me how to work the elevator. I truly appreciate her patience and professionalism. The location is very new and I am still upset Chuckie Cheese is no longer there, but hey at least I have a place to store some items. The cost was reasonable and the space was just right. THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH MICE!!!!!! Thousands of dollars worth of my possessions are completely ruined- peed on, pooped on, scratched, damaged, thousands of dollars gone. On 04/09/2024 I discovered that Cubesmart in Union, New Jersey has a mice/rat infestation problem. My belongings are covered in mice/rat droppings and urine. Please see pictures. I have been paying my bill online and did not know there was a vermin issue until yesterday when I went inside my storage unit. No staff member at Cubesmart notified me that there was a vermin issue. A Cubesmart representative took pictures and filed an incident report with their insurance company. I have also emailed two supervisors in their corporate office and no one has responded. Many honest customers have written reviews claiming that Cubesmart's insurance company is denying their claims for property damaged by mice/rats. Now I am very concerned that an insurance fraud scam is being run on customers.

<UPDATE FROM 4 MONTHS AGO> I just wanted to update everyone on my experience with CubeSmart in dealing with this. I have since moves out of my unit but my sister has a unit on the first floor. We have laid out mice traps with her own money and every time time we have gone to our unit we have caught at least one mouse. The manager contues to be very helpful and everytime my sister traps .ice we notify them of the situation. Its been about 7-9 mice thus far. I myself have call the district manager (left a voicemail) with no reply. My sister has called , also with no replay. I was told to email the store which I have since done. We are very disappointed that both mine and My sisters situation has been dealt with poorly and not to mention to the even bigger problem with their contracted pest control company which clearly seems to do a terrible job. I would post pics of the mice on the traps but I'll save everyone that displeasure. In conclusions so that everyone is aware, youre CubeSmart Insurance DOES NOT cover pest damage. Oroginal post 4 months ago "I had a very severe rodent problem in my cube where feces and urine was all over my unit. They ruined a couch that was given to me by my parents for My wedding. I reached out to the front desk that proceeded to file an insurance claim on my behalf all to be told pests are NOT covered on the insurance you are paying for. I'm very upset and sad about this situation. I confied in CubeSmart with my belongings all to be told that the insurance I am paying for does not cover something which your in-house pest control failed to take care of in the first place. Then building and space is/was nice aside from my issue. The front desk staff was caring and helpful with my issue as much as they could have been)

Yesterday was my first time renting a storage unit. My first stop was cubesmart self storage, When I walked in the door the worker greeted me with a big smile and introduced herself as Shaniqua Silver. Shaniqua had such a welcoming energy, and carried herself very professional as she took her time showing me different size units and asked plenty questions about the number of rooms and items I was looking to store. She assured me of the cleanliness and security of the facility which in itself sold me to rent a unit. I will definitely refer family and friends to use cubesmart self storage and have them ask for her assistance.

First let me say if I could give them zero stars I would. I signed up online for a 5*5 that's all the information that was given to me. I received a call from Shaniqua asking if I wanted to see my unit before moving in. She was the only positive thing about my experience. I went there and to my surprise this was an attic not a storage unit. I immediately pulled out my phone to ensure the PICTURE that I saw online represented the 5*5 that I reserved and surely it was right next to my unit information. The picture and the storage unit did not match. I was also told the truck was not available even though this was stated in my agreement. I asked for the manager and made aware that he was not in but he would call me the next day. The next day I'm calling and there's no answer and the manager John never called me back. I called the day after and finally get in contact with John. I explained my issues and asked for a solution. Instead John insisted on trying to insult my intelligence as though, I don't have a college degree! I quickly stopped him and explained that I'm looking for a solution and basically he said no, I don't have one. Lastly, the price that you see online will change because they have hidden fees and any discounts is only a few months. He couldn't even tell me for how long the discount would be. The customer service from John was disgusting. I'm truly convinced the reviews are paid or was forced. Please keep your units before moving in and asked about hidden fees and when discounts expire.

I was so afraid to put my things in a storage unit, but after visiting this place my fears went away. This place is super clean! I mean uber shiny and smells fresh. The man who helped me was super friendly and helpful. He made moving in a breeze. The unit I have is bigger than I expected. I moved my whole 2 story home and I still have room in there. Overall, I definitely recommend them.
