Beware! These are not secure units. The property manager is combative if you have any complaints. Really nasty if you have concerns or issues happen like theft. We had thousands in missing and irreplaceable things stolen because the side panels and top wires of units are completely insecure. Just a few screws to loosen and all of your things are gone to anyone with access to the building. The property manager KNEW that units were being broken into and she did not tell renters, then even those who reported items, she had zero empathy for and screamed at us that it wasn’t her responsibility to notify people that this was happening and their units may have been broken into. She emailed us about our complaint and still did not tell us about internal theft she knew of and instead told us she auctioned off all the items. Some could have been ours. We have since learned that this has happened to many people at this location. Do not put anything of value or sentimentality here!!! And be careful interacting with the property manager, she seems real sugary sweet nice at first. Never have we dealt with such a combative person in a customer service position, who should be kind to people who just lost so much under her watch. Why behave that way to us? Her stuff wasn’t stolen, why such an emotional and defensive response? Photos are of the flimsy interior and lose and missing screws after our things were stolen.

DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!! Thousands of dollars worth of our things have been stolen from the top flimsy wiring of the unit. My partner and I videoed how the wiring at the top is bowed, we discovered screws on the floor of our unit that match the screws from the wiring, and we were able to push the wiring up without issue to see if it was possible. Someone did this methodically too, they took time to not destroy or damage the items that have been left, but simply remove the items they took through the top of the unit. We’ve stored with them since 2018, we moved to a larger unit in 2023, now half of what we moved is completely gone. This is gross negligence on their part, as there are others who have clearly reported the same issue and they have not taken the time to make the necessary reinforcements to ensure the security from the top.

Cube Smart overall got 4 stars from me, because Tiana the property manager was very knowledgeable and informative and polite as well in supplying the best unit for me. Great job Tiana. The gentleman whom I spoke with over the phone prior however was not so informative and failed to give me a heads up on other charges that would apply on top of the prices he quoted in making the reservation. Exercise caution when renting this place (cube smart at Central). They may lure you in with a lower rate online, but that’s a deceptive trap. Once they see you’ve stored a significant amount of items, they’ll assume you either moved or lack other storage options. At that point, they’ll drastically increase your rent. I’ve experienced this firsthand, and so have my friends. I don't know about other branches, but the practices of this cube smart are unethical.

Access was extremely convenient. Having the moving equipment on site free to use was also immensely helpful. Especially when multiple people came at once which happened often. I just moved out of my storage unit. Had this unit for almost two years. Pretty happy with my Cubesmart experience. The place is very secure and clean. They provide carts so it’s easy to move your belongings, but there’s only two so if it’s busy they might not be available to you. They will give you a really great price in the first six months but then they will double the price. They also recently increased the price again without even sending me any notification and that’s why I’m only giving four stars. Also if you want to upgrade to a larger unit, they will not give you a discount that you got in the beginning because you’re already in a unit.

Earlier this week Tiana greeted me at the door when I came in to rent a unit. I already knew that if I was using my own insurance I could not rent the quick way online. I knew they had some units open and she was able to find me the size I wanted . I asked to view the rental. Ray took me up in the elevator to see it . He was very informative and courteous and answered all the questions I had. Once we came back down to the office, Tiana completed my rental lease with me and provided additional information about the facility. She made the process very easy to complete. Both Tiana & Ray were professional and very friendly people to do business with . The place looks well cared for and clean.

This Cubesmart is amazing--it has an enclosed parking area that is private and allows you quick access to the elevator. The units are all very clean and well-maintained. April at the front is amazing to work with! She is attentive and very knowledgeable when it comes to questions. The women who work here allow certain people to go into storage units after hours and steal peoples things as well as allow homeless people to sleep in the units over night for 200$ a week. Do NOT rent here until the 3 crooked ladies working in the office are replaced.. they are extremely unprofessional and dirty and they will lie and make false claims to save face. I sincerely regret renting a unit from here and having to deal with this. Also good luck trying to get a cart to move your belongings up the elevator because they only ever have 1 single cart avaliable and its always being used. Another great reason to stay out of crime ridden albuquerque . Save yourself the headache and store somewhere else.

Walked over every hallway of that building trying to find others, but no dice. If they can't even keep the basic amenity of a cart available, why give them over $100 a month?

Despite rent increases, the doors have been broken rendering the entire building unsecure, and it is definitely not climate controlled as advertised. To put the cherry on top, I was called last evening by the new manager to inform me that my lock had been cut off and found that thousands of dollars of my belongings have been stolen from my unit. Not sure the cameras are even working in this dump. UPDATE 12/11/2022- After multiple requests to view camera footage from the date of the break-in (ignored), a complaint through the BBB (ignored), and CubeSmart's total lack in following their procedures of filing a report of the incident, I am taking legal action. I understand that I am not the only person who has had issues with this location, and will be happy to hear from anyone else who has had the same or similar experiences with this company. If it were possible to give less than one star, I would.

April, the manager at this location has been a great help and is responsible for the rating. . From the minute I walked in just to inquire, everything was handled professionally . Still undecided as I left the initial tour of the facility, April handed me her business card to keep in touch, and told me about the app we could use. Part of our reason for deciding on this storage location was the manager & although a few were cheaper, the customer service value was not there. When we returned to sign the lease, we were not disappointed. April helped us finalize our rental and the level of information and care continued up to closing the lock on our new unit. So far we are very satisfied . This not our first storage rental , so we have the experience to compare.

I can't brag on this place enough. Not only is it VERY reasonably priced for the quality of the units, amenities (large elevators and wheeled-carts available for customer use), and the customer service/staff, but it's so much simpler a process than I anticipated. It'll take you 60 seconds to get the hang of (at most), and then you won't need to interact with anyone to use/access your unit. The general manager is an absolute peach of a person - I only spoke with her briefly, but she has "MVP" written all over her. 10/10, if you're looking for an indoor storage unit in ABQ, don't bother going anywhere else.

When I got kicked out of on-campus housing at UNM in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic lockdown, they were luckily available in a pinch and I was able to move all my things quickly into storage. The facilities always seemed clean and secure and the staff were capable at their jobs. I had to move my things out of storage with the recent price hike since I can't keep the unit in my budget on top of my rent, but for someone who has that extra spending money, they should be pleased with the space and service.

By far thee worse customer service I have ever received!! April had no business insulating me when I asked her a simple question such as if they accepted Apple Pay!! She was so rude and had the nerve to tell me “that’s why you can’t pay your bill” then kicked me out of the store when I came to PAY my bill in store!! And claimed to be the store manager!! We had to leave town for family reasons related to Covid, and we stored a few things at CubeSmart on Central in Albuquerque. The staff were always super friendly and helpful, the facility was clean, secure, and well-run, and it was a real lifesaver to be able to leave some things of sentimental value and family heirlooms there, knowing they were safe. Definitely recommended.

Worst place ever! Someone stole my jet skies from the facility. Cubesmart wouldn't even let me or my insurance investigator see the video footage. Apparently the criminals where inside the facility for two hours cutting the locks off my trailer and jet skies. The Manager's or owners would not relate video for us or the police to view. Do not use this storage place at all!

My experience at this facility was absolutely horrible, there were several shady characters in & out of this garage area on a sunday after business hrs spray painting a vehicle, another very scary couple hooked up to electric system wit extensions blow drying tint they were putting on the Windows of their vehicle , it goes on & on so sorry i rented here

The staff is nice, professional, and knowledgeable. They return phone calls and if not answered, it is a clear message to answer my question or concern. They say hello or wave from afar. The office is clean, they are following procedures for Covid-19, and have smiles on their faces. They are able to have small chats with me without trying to rush through it, say they dont know, or that they will get back to me by answering my question or addressing my concern. The elevator and walk to my unit is clean and clear. Overall, very happy there.

I'm editing this old review in Feb 2025. I just had an experience with Tiana, who was current manager until yesterday, over the past several weeks. She was outstanding, human & professional & even funny. Management, NOT, as management would not even respond on a 60.00 rate hike per month from 73.00 a month. Today I got a call saying Tiana is gone, the new woman April just going on & on justifying everything the company does & listenig to nothing. I don't know what else to say but getting rid of the decency in the business, decent, kind on site managers, is colossally short-sighted & not community positive. My previous review follows about another great manager some years back, Estella Bravo, also now apparently gone. The manager, Estela Bravo at the Central Ave, Albuquerque, NM location. Would have been a 10 if the prices were just a tad better and the out of state management had moved faster to allow Estela to get this done quicker. Estela is outstanding!

When I moved to the town I live in I had planned on having ALL of my belongings kept inside of a storage locker. Now I had forgotten that I do have a couple little things of great value back home. Thanks you all for helping me remember that. Emphasis on that. Anyway, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with barely a plan and very, very little money. So it should go without that I shopped around before I chose. Now as I shopped I had three things I was looking for? They were: Location, Temperature, and Value. Well as they say location is everything. But sometimes it ain't just sayin. Secondly is because climate-controlled protects your belongings better. And Well the third... nothing to do with 1st month being free...no literally. So. Here I go one day walking my little carry on sized suitcase, myself, and a backpack down the street and walked in to their office....late and disheveled or a "hot mess". So being as how i had an appointment the little must-haves were discussed; which to be honest kept irritating me due to all of what kept happening there. So I bought their stupid insurance, didn't leave until a lock was put on, and just put my schtuff into this tiny locker. I had the locker LESS than 30 days. My invoice didn't add up, my locker had been tampered with, i was assaulted, i had to call emergency services for help, and was challenged by the office staff. I stand up for other disabled americans who have been through these tactics. I now have a pending charge from them in my credit union account I guess this survey is supposed to release.

Very convenient location the one on Central. Good customer service. I had no issue except on the web you will be quote a base price but when you get there you find the price is double or more because they have add the insurance and a second months rent. So before you go call and ask for the full payment amount; do that with all the storage companies in town.

The facility itself is clean and well maintained. As with any business on Central Avenue there's some folks that seem to just hang around all day, unclear if they're customers or not. The units are neat and clean. I recently rented a 10'x5' unit. Actual interior dimension of the unit was 9'-11" x 4'-6". Wasn't able to fit some items as I intended. I looked at other units and one was as small as 9'-11" x 4'-2". Just a reminder to ask to see units to make sure you're getting a space that's as close to advertised as possible. The online reservation price increased marginally once I was in the office signing up for the lease, at one point I was able to see the lower price but then it changed. Make sure you have the correct unit selected and double check the price when making the reservation. I understand that CubeSmart is a large company and managers may not be able to make better offers to customers (like charging 15% less for 15% less space) but overall the process was definitely "take it or leave it." The space is almost brand new. The lighting is nice. They keep it clean.

Oh my gosh! I was so hesitant in getting a small storage unit because I only have a few things and I didn't want to be paying a ton of money every month to store them. Today I met with Nigel and he was very warm and welcoming. He showed me a small unit and it was exactly what I needed. I discussed the price with him and to my surprise it was a lot less than I expected. I got my first month free also! The entire facility is super clean and secure. I will highly recommend this location if you need a storage unit with helpful staff.

The place is clean and well lit. The access hours are great, but they routinely lack an adequate number of carts. And carts are essential to the facility. There is no drive up. Today someone moving there stuff in took both carts, loaded them and left them to go have a smoke. I asked one of the staff if there were any other carts available. He said no. I asked what I was supposed to do. He informed me that I should just hang out and wait for them to unload the truck. I said I have stuff to do today. He shrugged and walked away. Please don't ask me to change my review until you have figured out this cart situation.

Nigel is awesome. He is so funny, sincere, and helpful! I keep hoping I'm going to run into him so I can have a good laugh! This storage facility is excellent and a welcome find in Albuquerque when most of what's available for storage can be pretty sketchy and janky. It is brand new, very clean, easy to navigate, and feels safe. I think their prices are really fair for what you get in return. As an indoor, multi-leveled facility it's really easy to navigate. They provide carts and the elevators are sized appropriately and super fast. Thanks Nigel!

This cubesmart storage is great! It is clean, feels safe and has great friendly staff. They are patient. This is my first time renting storage for my belongings and I would definitely do it again. I was assisted by Nigel Decker, who was definitely patient through my undecidedness in regards to what I needed in size and affordability. (He was awesome and patient and positive even with all my questions) He had a great attitude and made the experience painless. It is businesses with customer service like this that make me happy to spend my money to store my belongings. As an additional note, It was getting close to closing time and Nigel never made us feel rushed!! :)

The place is very clean and the leasing agent was very helpful. The pricing is fair and the first month was free, which was perfect for me since I needed the storage for less than a month. Apparently the docking doors might be too small for some trucks (according to my moving company), but they are big enough for pretty much any U-Haul truck. Inside, the place is a bit of a maze, but overall it is very presentable.

So far I am very pleased with the both the Staff and Service from Cubesmart. I have never used storage before, but the process has been a smooth and easy one. I reserved a unit online, and within a few hours was contacted by a Cubesmart rep to help fill me in on any information about the process, which was way more helpful than I would have thought. The next day I came in and was helped by Blake Salas, who was incredibly nice and helpful in explaining everything and setting me up. I can't stress how nervous I can be when committing to long term monthly costs. That said, I felt like I was dealing with professionals, and not salesmen who needed to make a quota. I chose this location because it isn't far form where I live, and they offered climate controlled storage, a must for me. The online site gave me a great deal. At first I was nervous that it was on the 4th floor, but was pleased to find that the elevators are absolutely enormous, fitting a huge couch and a queen bed with ease. They also have awesome courtesy carts, as well as indoor unloading area. All said and done, I moved the entire contents from my truck into the storage unit within 30 minutes. I highly recommend cubesmart to anyone looking for high quality storage solutions.

Great experience. Candace was very helpful in explaining everything. I received 1 month free, however, I did not have to utilize that as I was moved out of the storage in less than 3 days. I did pay a $24.00 set up fee and needed to purchase a lock $17.00 for my unit because I could not find one. The unit was in a good location, clean, 2 large elevators, multiple hand carts, and well lit with motion sensors. I went to my unit late one night (After 8pm) and did not feel afraid. My only issue is with some of the other tenants that maybe live out of their units. It's kind of creepy when a person keeps walking past your unit attempting to talk to you when you are in the process of moving in and out of your storage. Other than that it was a great experience, Move out was quick and painless, paperwork processed and everything was good!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. There phone system is a little weird. When I called you don't call straight through to the local business it's a call center and when the local store calls it showed up as a Illinois number. The storage is great though. Great security, elevators, motion sensor lights, and carts for moving your stuff. They even have locks for sale that are better than the disk locks I've always used. I would have given them 5 stars but I don't like not being able to call the place directly. Almost forgot to mention the storage door open and close so easily unlike a lot of storages I've had that nearly broke your back just trying to lift the door. ????

Those negative experience's have changed to positive remarks under the management of Estella at that property. Her kindness, professionalism and attentiveness to her customers should serve as an example to all other employees of Cube Smart. I'm so use to seeing her whenever I go to the property that whenever I see someone else working in her absence I get concerned. I recently needed huge storage spAce with no time to find one in the past I did business with a different location so I saw this building was brand new at the time I was so stressed out with all the packing and the fact that I needed this space asap I was created by a lady named Candice whom by the way is an angel from God she has the best patience in the world not only did she immediately find and rent me a unit she was genuine and she helped me as much as she good and put my nerves at ease cube smart is blessed to have someone like Candice working for them not only am I gonna rent there for a while I encourage anyone in need of a storage unit to go talk to her thank you again Candice I respect and appreciate you so much!!

So far so good. They opened this unit on Central by Sierra in August. It is clean and climate controlled. You park in the unit to load and unload. They seem to have 30 parking spots. They have two roll up doors to get into the parking. Once inside, you use your code to get into the storage units. They have tons of cameras. My only issue is that our initial 5' by 8' unit was only 4' 7" wide. We switched to a second unit that is 5' wide and 7' 4"'.

This was my first time renting a storage space but CubeSmart made it super easy! The facility is nice and brand new, the manager was super helpful and explained everything that I needed to know, and it was quick. I also appreciate that this is an inside facility and they give you a lock that is included with the price! Check it out!

Facility is state of the art . It is clean as a whistle. I like the new key that is completely tamperproof. The manager very accommodating and efficient. Place seems like a fortress .
