Place is nice and clean. Price is solid (if you have renters insurance). The negative is that I’ve had passcode issues and needed help to get into my own locker the last several visits. I l would feel more secure if there was an option to have a locked in price for a few months. Perhaps at least a three month lock in. Ideally 6 months(flexibility for both parties). To have a choice of month to month or longer would be nice. Knowing that price may go up at any moment is not good. You’re at the mercy of unpredictability. Because moving all your stuff at the spur of the moment(due to a price increase) sounds stressful and worrisome.

They are completed unresponsive. I moved out of the storage unit over a week ago and they are putting a past due on my account. The key has been fully returned and the unit is empty. Have not responded to phone calls. There are other storage places you can use where staff is actually available.

I would choose any other storage place but this one. Used this location for a bit over a year and have had multiple issues trying to access my locker. They shut down 15-20min prior to what's listed as closing hours, which is absolutely unacceptable. The front desk randomly shuts off and you have no access to them or the moving carts. I've went there during lunch hours and they were out for lunch, which is fine, but if you are doing that you MUST list those hours online and not have people travel for half hour, only to find they need to wait another hour for you to come back. Once again completely unacceptable. And finally, I've also even called in advance to confirm they'll be open on certain holidays, was told they are open, only to show up to a completely closed facility for the day. If you like gambling on whether or not you can access your items then this is the place for you, otherwise look literally anywhere else. PS: When I filed a complained and canceled my account I was told I would not be given a refund for the remaining days that I have paid for but have not used. Utterly terrible customer service all around.

STAY AWAY!!! Hours are never as listed, more like whenever their staff feels like. Whever I ask, they usually say half an hour before, and will harrass you by announcing the whole time and even trying to vacuum in the area my storage was on. I've tried to complain several times but never got a response! I'll move my storage as soon as next month!

Jeffrey is the kindest, most patient, and professional customer service rep I may have ever met. He goes above and beyond to assist. It’s why I keep recommending this location to family and friends honestly. Thank you for all you do, Jeffrey! The facility itself is clean, well maintained, and easy to access. With that said, CubeSmart has a way of sneakily raising your storage prices without any valid explanation. I’ve tried to speak to general and corporate managers several times and no one has ever returned my calls. I would only say avoid CubeSmart for that reason; if you do not want your prices raised significantly every few months, look for other reasonable options.

Terrible customer service. We got there at 6:45pm and the guy at the front desk said they were closed and didn’t let us go in even though we told him that according to THEIR website they work until 7pm but he insisted that they are open until 6:30pm. They either have to update their own site or hire staff that actually want to work. Either way very inconvenient for customers. Other storages stay open for more reasonable hours.

As stated by other long-term clients in the feedback - the manager and District Manager never follow thru on promises or even call backs. The manager's lack of professionalism is staggering. For instance the manager did not reply for 4 days of not answering during office hours - even after his staff kept contacting him. After loosing 10h+ and hundreds of $ because of his lack of response the manager kept sighing and giving me an 'attitude' instead of trying to resolve the issues. The District manager covers for the manager and also does not return messages, calls or complaints. I for one do not trust the manager of this location to have my best interest. CubeSmart should pull the franchise from the owner - until they have competent management in place and replace the manager and district manager of this location.

I was a long time customer here, and most of the time it was ok in the beginning . But the way this place is run is unbelievable. Always open late, would have to wait sometime 30-45 minutes.They wanted to raise my rent by 36% after I was told I would get a price reduction. When I asked why so mush they told me new customers would pay the higher prices and it was good turn around. Instead of have a customer that was never late on payment and never caused problems.The manager and District Manager never follow thru on promises or even call backs. They always played off each other with the he said he said routine or just blamed the other on anything said. Don’t rent here it’s a rip off!!

I rented a storage unit for 3-4 years. I rarely went to the unit during this time period. I missed a monthly payment once, but I paid it when I remembered. When I went to move my belongings into a new apartment, I found a new lock on my unit and some of my belongings were stolen. I will never use or recommend Cubesmart.

Just way too expensive. I agreed to a set price and it was changed within a few months. Once inquiring on why the change they said it was because they look at the pricing of other storage facilities and change it from there. I found this crazy because the price never went down and I found a facility with everything cubesmart offers at half the price. I would’ve stayed if it wasn’t so pricey, but for the time my things were there I couldn’t complain too much outside of pricing.

Super convenient, clean. Easy access. Wish it was 24hrs. Sometimes 8-6 doesn’t work for my schedule. Once I was waiting outside the gate for 8a, and the opener didn’t show up till 820a. Made me late for a presentation. I used to have uhaul storage and liked it better for that reason. Cubesmart is next door to my apartment tho so still more convenient.

Storage unit was supposed to be open at 8am and no-one arrived until 9:43am. I had hired a moving company and were waiting since 8am. They charged me a fee for holding them up every 20min. I had a flight that same day to Texas and Cubesmart was unprofessional with the way they handled this matter. When they finally got there at I let out my frustration with the manager and said to speak to his district manager he said ohh well there was nothing he could do and that any complaints I could call the 1800. Worst customer service experience ever. Lets make it clear Im not one to write reviews cause very easy going but this was by worst the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had to go through.

Who is the manager of this storage facility? I experienced several issues with this location. Primarily, unexpected early closings. When I called to complain, I was told a manager would call me back and no one called back. Secondly, the workers are constantly on their phones and ignoring incoming calls. Not to mention, the restroom is filthy 9x/10. I will be moving my things out asap and won’t be recommending this place.

The facility hours posted on the building and the Cubesmart website note that this location is open at 8am every day of the week. This is not the case. I arrived at 8:45 this morning, and after almost two hours of waiting and multiple phone calls to Cubesmart, the facility was finally opened at 10:45. A fatanstic way to spend my Sunday morning, standing outside in freezing temperatures waiting for someone to just show up to work and open the building. For a company that prides itself on excellent customer service, very little was on display today. Only the call center (thank you Glenn) gets a favorable mention as they finally got the Cubesmart district manager to send a staff member to open the building. Lesson learned: Do not use this Cubesmart location if you need early access to your belongings.

There hours are in convenient 8am to 7pm. Should be 6am to 9pm. There facilities security is completely computer automated so no need of a person there to open up or close. Also the opening time on the website and building need employees that show up to open on time. This is why they need to utilize their automated security system to open and close cause people work and depend on access to the units. This is a unorganized system.

The 5 stars I give are for Nicole's excellent customer service. She anticipated questions I should have known to ask but didn't and was very patient with us at closing time when showing us units and us being so meticulous as so want to measure the dimensions. She was lovely! I would give fewer stars based on the facility itself, given most of the available units have posts blocking part of the spaces. And the fact that you have to pay more to not get, by default, a basement unit that could flood.

I had an excellent experience with the CubeSmart on 46th Street in Astoria. I have had my belongings in one of their outdoor storage units for nearly a year. I have only visited the site twice during that time, and both times I visited my belongings were in the same condition they were on the day I dropped them off. I want to commend Sharisse Beckford, in particular, for all her professionalism, kindness, and good humor. Sharisse was great to work with. I highly recommend this storage facility.

I’ve been using this location for a year, but went there today to move out. I expected to take what I did, and toss the rest. I was feeling wasteful and bit sad to trash the remaining items, but financially it was my best choice… I thought. The manager (Jeffrey) over heard my situation and had a solution. He help me find a unit that I could afford (it was 1/5 the price!) and keep these items a bit longer. Very very happy and thankful for his help.

About 2 years ago I use to rent a storage out with cubesmart at the sunny side location and omg were they amazing! So when it came time to looking for a new storage this year I found this one closer to my home. Miss Sharisse Beckford was super helpful with my transition back into a new space at the 46th street location. I expressed my worries to her pertaining to being on a time limit to get everything moved in and she was more then happy to assist me every step of the way to assure I have a quick and painful move into my new storage. I can honestly say she went above and beyond for me and really helped me feel more at ease for the move in date. I normally don’t have time to write reviews but Miss Sharisse truly took her time to cover everyone of my concerns and needs. Honestly that’s rare to find these days so a quick shout out to Miss Beckford for helping take a huge weight of my shoulders ????. As for the space it’s perfect! Clean! Well maintain, room temperature, I was satisfied with every inch of it. Cube smart alway knows how to meet my highest standards.

While I have no complaints about my experience with CubeSmart, they are complicit in partnering with a moving company in the state of NY that struggled to complete my move. The company they partner with is called A Super Move, look them up and read their reviews for yourself. The majority of their business is people moving items to storage thanks to their partnership with CubeSmart. As a result perhaps, they can afford to have abysmal service since they have few return customers. I had what can only be described as a nightmare move, which took 26 hours to complete from a 1 bedroom apartment to a storage unit. Throughout, the company CubeSmart partners with gave me the runaround and kept my stuff overnight out of my sight. The next day, boxes we unloaded were damaged. Edit: I've updated the review and rating to reflect the fact that the President of the partner company called, apologized and offered a full refund because of what I had to go through. This is a family owned business that can certainly improve their processes and I was assured they will do better next time.

The team members at my local CubeSmart are fantastic and extremely helpful. There was what appeared to be a small wet spot in the original space I rented which they reviewed with maintenance and they were able to move my space a few down to a drier spot while they work to get that wet spot fixed. 100% recommend this location to friends since we all live in NYC and can always use more room.

This is a great storage facility, with new lockers and well-maintained. I was given a lock with two keys. One key worked and the other didn't. Unfortunately, I only realised this when I went back to my locker to put some additional items in. I took the key that did not work, and left the key that did at home, and a kind employee (didn't get his name) told me that they could cut the lock, and give me another set of keys. Another employee showed up and asked me how far away the other key was and then proceeded to tell me that I would have to go back and get the other key because she checked all the keys and there is no way my key couldn't work. (basically telling me that I was wrong and this was not her mistake). I asked her if I could speak to someone else, and she said " I'm the manager. The General Manager will be here on Wednesday so you can talk to her then." At this point I am dripping in sweat, carrying luggage, and told that I am lying that the key given to me does not work. To top it all off, I am told that this will not be resolved for 2 days, unless I pay for either transport to go home and get the key that DOES work, or pay for a new lock, for no fault of my own. Cubesmart- let me ask you this- Would you rather sever a relationship with a customer that is paying a recurring monthly fee for an indefinite amount of time than accept that you made a mistake and did not check the keys properly prior to handing them out? The person I spoke with is Sharisse Beckford. Oh- to top it all off, as I'm leaving I ask Sharisse for the General Manager's contact information. She says "take that card it's over there”, indifferently pointing to a stack of cards on the counter. The information on the card is the same for both the General Manager and Manager. Same phone number, same email address. I'd rather write a review here than send the GM an email, that will end up in Sharisse's inbox and never be seen again. A disappointing ordeal to say the least.

Far and away the best moving experience I've had almost solely because of the staff working at this CubeSmart location. Honest, straight forward, attentive. Everything you hope to get but rarely receive. Clean building. Clear instructions. All well and good. Shout out to Sharisse B. for going above and beyond with her help and resourcefulness with my move-in. Would recommend this place to anyone moving around in Astoria or Queens or frankly anywhere in the greater NYC area who needs space (if that wouldn't overwhelm them too much) Have a 5*5*4 space for 20$ a month plus the mandatory insurance for an extra 12$ so I'm paying 32$ a month. Keep an eye out for specials like mine. Worth it. Have a great, stress-free move-in!

This is a brand new facility with lot and plenty of parking. I been in lot of different storage units but here I felt like a movie star, Selina was super professional, fun and friendly. This facility is brand new, super clean, and has sufficient, covered parking/loading spaces. It's never too busy, yet it feels very safe and secure. The front desk faces the parking lot too, so you know that somebody is always near by if anything were to happen in the midst of loading and unloading. Doors are very secure, especially if you are on a top floor. I did a lot of research on storage spaces before moving in, and I'm greatly happy with my choice. Do note that they advertise the first month free, but charge a one time administrative fee for $25 + you still pay insurance (I chose the $12/month option which insures up to 2k) + ~$18 for a lock. All in all, I'd say that $56 the first month and $93 thereafter, in a borough of NYC isn't bad for a 5 x 7.5 unit that fits a queen sized mattress, dresser, and lots of other junk. Get in before everybody else looking for storage discovers it! ;)

Bo one did say i needed a lock and that i needed to have insurance on my belongings. I was using various search engines and found Cubesmart to be the best balance of affordability and trustworthiness when comparing to other places in Queens, so I made a reservation for a space online. I was kind of guessing about how much space I needed since I'd never been to Cubesmart, but it turned out fine because Selina (from this Cubesmart office) gave me a tour and helped me estimate how much space I would need. Great experience! The facility was clean, check-in was quick, and they provided large dolleys to make moving items into/out of the storage much easier! The only reason why it's 4 instead of 5 stars is because the office is open later than the actual storage unit is open... so for example, the storage area closes at 6:30pm (so you won't be able to access, move in, or move out your items after that time), but the main office stays open until 7pm, so it's a little backwards. Otherwise, staff was friendly, they run an awesome 1 month free promotion, and I would highly recommend to anyone needing a short-term rental!

The moment we walked in we experienced great customer service. We were greeted and explained our options and were showed the spaces we were interested in. Great Experience, quick and simple no complication at all. Jannette and Selina were a great help, they explained everything thoroughly. I was in and out under an hour in my first visit, Selina showed me the unit I was renting and moved in the same day after finalizing the purchase. I reserved an appointment the day before and they explained everything through the phone as well, they reminded me to bring a lock but I forgot it and they provided one for an extra charge but was happy nonetheless. I would recommend 10/10.

Janette was extremely helpful and patient with me. The process was swift and she answered all of my questions with professionalism. She adjusted my storage space without a problem. She understood my needs and was most accommodating. When moving into the storage unit she supplied me with a temporary lock until I moved in without charging me (I had a lock, but totally forgot it!). She went beyond for me and I am most grateful.

Quick and thorough service with the front desk, issued our rental, explained the details of the agreement completely and provided lock for extra charge. Very happy with the location and the unit.
