This location is absolutely disgusting there are people living inside of the units there is no upkeep and if I wasn’t already locked into a contract I would’ve never put my things here. It is a halfway house and it is not managed at all, The elevators have been down for four months. This place is completely unprofessional and if you can spend a little bit more money to feel safe and know that your belongings are secure, please do that. $115 a month is insane considering the type of service that they provide you. This particular location is on Brook Avenue in the Bronx but regardless of where any of them are they should not be this repulsive. 0 stars.

I have a basement unit. There has clearly been water damage. The floors are weak and it smells like mold. Additionally, there is no lighting and only one of the elevators work. Moving in there was a travesty. It smells absolutely horrible. There is clearly mold in these basement units.

Update: Their elevator doesn’t work and their answer is simply: use the stairs even if you have move a piano:)) Please Do NOT go to this storage. Pick any other storage but not this one. They are deceiving, change rates with no notice, apply several late fess, auction fees after 30 days, threaten with auction after 30 days, cut the lock, take pictures of your stuff etc etc etc.

I’m glad that they are close by me but some of the prices for some of the storage units are a little outrageous. There are mice droppings in the units because when I moved my things from a smaller unit to a bigger unit there was mice droppings on my things.

This place is infested with rats. There’s rat/mice droppings everywhere. You can see evidence of rats in people’s units. The smell is awful throughout the building. The rats chewed a hole in the bottom of my unit. I even had a dead rat in my unit. I decided to take my things out because of this and CubeSmart raising my bill after only being in the unit for less than 3 months

The customer service experience was disappointing. The office was inaccessible while we were waiting outside for the employee to exit his vehicle and unlock the doors. When inquired about locker sizes, he directed us to a poster and casually mentioned the prices. After departing, we observed him shutting down the premises and retreating to his car. Additionally, we witnessed him ignoring a customer's complaint outside, advising them to consult the lease agreement and attributing the issue to management. Consequently, we decided against renting a locker from this establishment.

The workers are very unprofessional they lie about giving you the first month free and when you ask them about it they say no we told you about it and you said you didn’t want it, they also told my dad to lower his voice when he was asking for the keys to one of the carrying carts. If it wasn’t because I need the storage because of my baby I wouldn’t come back. My dad ended up having to put his things into my storage unit because they randomly raised his storage 8 dollars more without any warnings. Definitely not happy with the way this place is being run. They also should hire someone who speaks Spanish because they can’t understand the language and then have the audacity to get upset because they don’t understand their costumers.

After a flooding, insurance did not cover damages to damaged items. They do not cover natural disasters. Although flooding occurred one week after pay period, no type of refund was giving. I was told Cubesmart district manager is the one who handles these cases and will contact me. Never heard from them. I Reached out several times and kept being told the same. Is going on 1 1/2 months and no one has reached out to me and has resolved the issue. It seems they have no concern me loosing half my belongings in their possession due to flooding and no interest giving any portion of money back. I paid full month, only 1 week was in used before flooding accrued and was giving a 3 day notice to move out, if not it will be as if I surrendered the rest of my belongings and they will be thrown out. This is the worst storage facility. Management retaliates against customers. They also like to harass the customers when on the property. A manager is never available to provide assistance. We rented a unit it flooded not only did the General Management lie to us over the phone when I played the recording back he then wanted to tell another store manager maybe he did say that. This places floods in the basement they don't let u knw moving in after we asked for a higher ground unit and still ended up in the basement . We were told by many other guess the insurance will not cover natural disaster. This location is horrible and likes to just take money knowing there basement floods. They will clean the water n move more ppl in its not the 1st time this happened every hurricane or bad weather were it rains bad the basement floods no one covered us to move out we had to pay and move our stuff after 2 weeks of being there corporate need to look at management and there skills he didn't do his job.

Here is a brief list of things wrong with the 10x10 unit I am renting. 1. There is a support pillar in the middle of the unit that was not disclosed in the description and certainly takes up plenty of square footage. 2. There is no light in the unit and the light in the nearby area is out and has been for quite sometime according to the employee I spoke with. 3. The entire basement has a strong smell/odor of MOLD! 4. There are at least 3 MAJOR LEAKS with pools of standing water in the basement hence the mold smell. The mold is not new nor are the puddles of water evident by the large dehumidifier last serviced 10/2022 by Petro Co. 5. The “deal” involving a free truck for move in requires you to communicate via phone because that’s how this company does it so don’t expect to speak to anyone other than via text or email. Long story short I got what I paid for !

My husband has a storage unit at this location and we are very unhappy because on the website it says it closes at 6pm and he got there one day at 5:20 and the girl didn’t let him up because she said it closes at 5:30 even if it did, he got there at 5:20! That’s 10 minutes and when you’re paying almost 150 a month why would they deny you service to lock up your stuff. It’s unfair and the lady was just being lazy! If she don’t like customer service y work there?! It literally takes 5 minutes to lock up something and she seems like she just doesn’t want to do her job.

Went to get my vehicle, gate code didn't work, they admitted fault, spent nearly $100 on Lyft because I had to come back during business hours to have them open the gate. Lost my whole days plans because I couldn't get my vehicle -which was supposed to be 24 hour access!!!! Still not resolved! Even though Liz Morales was supposed to email me. What is the problem? This needs to be resolved. I took my vehicle out of storage there and need a refund for rest of month, which would cover Lyft charges...but certainly not the loss of plans that day. UNBELIEVABLE!

my personal belongings and furniture had water damage and an infestation of Rat droppings all over. I had to move my items to another floor, toss personal belongings, and priceless sentimental items. The district Manager Ravinder Setti was rude, dismissive and ignored my complaints that I clearly had proof of via photographs and the manager as well. I had to harass the insurance company that cubesmart makes you sign up with until finally there manager gave me $2,000. My items that I left behind cost way more. My brand new mattress that was covered had slids from Rats and holes in the protected cover along with a table that was considered priceless to us. My brother in law who passed owned it, and it was the last thing we had of him that was suppose to go back into my mother in laws place when she moved back to NY. My childrens keep sake stuff animals, nursery room decor and clothing was also tossed due to the gashes of holes in the bags and the immense amount of Rat droppings in between the clothing. My cube smart experience has been horrible!!!

Most of my items out of one unit were stolen. I paid for months but they claim my items were in the wrong unit. Then they claimed the unit I had my items in was a unit for storing lost and found, etc items. So why was I paying for months and no one told me. Also who cut my lock and put on a CubeSmart lock on a unit that supposedly was being used for storing lost items, (but no one called me to tell me till months later?) Seems fishy. When I was explaining to that locations GM, after a bit of time he got annoyed and aggressive, rude. Terrible experience. Plus the GM threatened to put my insurance through without my consent. Additionally young rude worker there. But a positive, professional cleaning man, about 60 years old with accent (was helpful) and tried his best to make me feel respected and showed empathy. I did nothing wrong now lots of my important items are gone, plus I run risk of identity theft for various family members since we trusted CubeSmart and had put some copies of documents in the cube/unit. DISASTER, never use them. Better to throw your items in the garbage and keep paperwork at home. After doing business with CubeSmart and their counterpart, Storage Deluxe, for at least 12 years, none of that time was worth waiting for this disaster....!

There are times were some days the storage floors are cold and others hot. My husband and I went to make our first payment. We approached the cashier who dryly "Greeted" us with a "How may I help you ?". We expressed that we were there to make a payment. The cubesmart at 3122 E Washington st it's the worst storage I have ever used. It's very narrow to manuver your car. It has storages on the second floor it stinks so much!! I made a reservation for a 5x5x8 and when I went to use it it was that measurements one side but the other side was 5x5x0 so it was cut off half the space. They changed it for me it the employee was upset that sparefoot didn't tell me how small it was. I don't recommend this place to anybody. If you are going to use a storage go to other place. This is the worse storage I have ever used. Very difficult. Second floor you have to use a stairs which are very bad and far away from the stairs. It's just all around a bad deal. Stay away from here!!!

The manager, Erica, located at the 395 Brook Avenue CubeSmart location was delightful and very professional. Although I showed up to rent a unit at 5:15pm (office closes at 6pm), Erica took her time to show me several units in order to find a unit that would suit my needs. Although I won't be using this Bronx storage unit for very long (will be relocating my storage unit closer to my permanent place of residence), I definitely plan to lease space from another CubeSmart location since my experience at the Brook Avenue location was very positive (and I'm normally a diehard fan of Public Storage!) The csr Jess was so poliet and imformative.I have no compmaints thus far I onky veen a coustomer for a few days. However, I would recommend this storage unit to family and friends.

I've had my stuff at this location for a little over 2 years and I loved it and the staff but recently they switched there employees and it has been nothing but headache... the new manager Jennifer is the worst, she isn't properly trained to deal with customers and a real bad attitude problem. If your taking over a store please train your employees and make sure you brush up on your too. Completely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and rudeness

I had a great quick experience. I was assisted right away as soon as I walked through the door. The wait wasn't long. I was explained everything in detail, was able to fill out the paperwork, was showed my storage space, everything went very well. The staff was very professional, and answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood everything. I would recommend a family member or friend.

OMG! CubeSmart on brook avenue in the bronx is a great storage facility. The general manager Jennifer helped me pick a unit that actually fit my needs, and didn't try and make me rent a larger one and waste money. The team as a whole are excellent so professional and courteous, i definitely recommend this location to family & friends

I've been a customer for 2yrs and never had any issues with this facility. They treat you as a human and not a customer number. Service there is always A+. The place was always clean and you always felt your stuff was well protected. I've got no issues with highly recommending this facility to anyone. Mr Medina and his staff are absolutely wonderful in assisting you and going beyond the call of duty. This is a big company that still remembers how to treat their customers with courtesy and respect . You don't see that anymore with companies especially in NY. If I can give you 10 stars I would. I just rented a storage unit the beginning of this year. I have just stored things this weekend. I was very happy with the level of customer service from the employees at this location. They were very friendly, helpful and very professional. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. I like that the place is clean and well lit. I am very happy that I chose CubeSmart .

It hasn't been long enough as I only just moved in last weekend (Oct 24th) but the manager has been very helpful. The unit was a little smaller than I imagined, especially with a triangle cut out of one of the corners that made me feel a little cheated of space. But I didn't mention it or complain, so that is probably half my fault. I don't foresee me being there very long because it is only temporarily needed, but the service has been awesome. I'm not much of a complainer, so maybe I'm not the best person to give reviews. Then again, it has only been less than week. One thing I would love is having access to the unit 24 hours. Just because getting out of work to put things in storage is very difficult to do since it closes by the time I get home. Otherwise, all is well so far.

I've only just loaded my stuff (as of 9/3/15) so I don't have a lot of experience yet. However, so far everyone I have worked with onsite has been terrific, with one minor exception (one guy was somewhat unhelpful at first but then brought in his boss (?) who was spectacular, went above and beyond, and turned disaster into success). The place is clean and well-lit. On a very hot day the climate control was working quite well. The prices are much better than in Manhattan; not a surprise, perhaps, but still welcome and in terms of distance from where I live, not that much further. The truck owned by the site is a very good deal, even at the regular price ($40 for 4 hours plus gas). Be aware of a couple of things 1) measurements of the rooms/lockers are nominal -- measure the one you are interested in to make sure your stuff will fit; 2) the gas mileage of the truck, as with all such trucks it seems, is dreadful -- I got about 3 (three) mpg. Not a huge deal, but don't be shocked when you refill the tank.

Lousy Service & Penny Pinching. They used to offer nice amenities like free WiFi and bottled water for customers, now they don't do that anymore. Add to that the rotten attitude of the agent that is usually there. Yet I bet they are already plotting rate increases as we speak.
