If I could give a negative one star I would. The price goes up every 10 minutes. The lights never work in a facility when you complain about it they terminate your contract and tell you to move your stuff out in the dark. They don’t reimburse you they make you get insurance, but in the insurance contract, they don’t cover anything that you would normally put in storage do not recommend. Do not come, corporate does not answer the phone. They don’t answer the emails evin the district manager. Does not answer does not return calls has a snooty attitude and the DVP Stephanie is invisible. She doesn’t exist cause she doesn’t call back either. The staff at the actual facility is not that bad but they don’t know nothing past nothing to not attend. Do not recommend never ever ever ever come to CubeSmart no matter what.

They lie and tell you that it is Google's fault but the reality is that CubeSmart falsely advertises AND puts in their CONTRACTS with the renter that the Access Hours are until 7 PM. In reality they CLOSE AT 5:45 PM. This is ridiculously early. They also DON'T open as early in the morning as the put online OR IN THE CONTRACT you sign with them. Instead they call you on the day of you move and tell you the problem with the hours not being shown correctly is "Google's mistake"... NOT TRUE. if that were the case my contract documents should have had the correct time, right???? THEY MISLEAD & LIE.

“Worst Storage Facility Ever - Avoid at All Costs!” If I could give this CubeSmart in the Bronx zero stars, I would. My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. 1. Horrible Customer Service: The manager, Felicia, was incredibly rude and aggressive toward customers. I watched her nearly start a confrontation with a customer who was simply asking about a unit. It was completely unprofessional, and I felt uncomfortable just witnessing it. 2. Dirty Facilities: When we were shown a unit, it was filthy and had RAT DROPPINGS. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. 3. Ignored by Staff: After being shown the unit, we waited for further assistance, only to be ignored by Felicia, who was on a loud, personal call. Instead of helping, she talked openly about “getting lit” and her plans for the night. We were eventually passed off to someone else who, thankfully, actually wanted to help. This CubeSmart location is a joke. If you value your belongings and expect even basic respect as a customer, go somewhere else!

This place used to be great and I’ve been using their services for over five years. For about the last year or two they have had an issue with timing. I used to go early in the morning. I have been working on a new job for the last two years so I can only get there about an hour and a half, half or two hours before they close. Online one time you go in person they always seem to close an hour or two before that said time. It seems like they only update their time once a year because this has happened twice this year including today. I’ve also noticed that they’ve had a lot of new employees coming and going and for three employees there’s one that is always rude and it seems to be some of the women. They give a lot of smart, snarky and nasty remarks and often are not helpful when asking questions. I don’t know this place anymore, but it seems that they need to clean up a lot of things, including the people in this location. They also need to be more on top of updating the time online because I hate to load up my car with stuff and get to the gate and they’re about to close. Meanwhile, there’s two more hours before they close according to the time online..

Receptionist Felicia on 10/8 was extremely rude, unhelpful and very aggressive! I nearly felt that if we kept speaking this might get physical! I have yet to even store my stuff here and I’m so turned off of the unprofessional staff that works here. I’m am thankful for a staff member who was on break who walked over to explain to me what the hours are and how this works and the confusion goggle has with the hours not being updated. I believe her name was Amanda. Then I found out she has some title here. This is the worst ethic & unprofessionalism I have yet to deal with and to think this is who is in charge !!? After waiting to view the unit I had to wait while she spoke on the phone and we sat there knowing we were on a time crunch due to Cube smart & google not having the updated times online & within corporate office. I called to make my initial reservation online due to sales on the phone saying they are open till 7pm. But once on sight I was told it’s 5:45pm. At this point I don’t know how long I will be using Cubesmart. Or if I will follow through as I still am waiting to close out this sale and Felicia speaks on the phone ordering inventory and speaking on personal life matters… Shameful !!!! I was not assisted till I asked why am I waiting! After her looking over and sending me over to Amanda who then assisted me. She made sure I had the worst experience here on purpose!

I’ve been with this CubeSmart for a few months now and they are ALWAYS closing early. Says they’re supposed to close at 7 and I’ve came in even around 5;45 and it’s closed. No way for you to get in. I’ll be moving back to extra storage and just taking a longer drive.

This will be the first and last I go to this location, I went to set up my storage unit and when I ask what time they close they gave me the times I thought to my self Il get there and if I need a grace period they would work with me . I go back a few days to store my things I get there before closing time I spoke to them there was traffic and my day was long . I start loading my items rushing running to make sure I get things done and on time before they close there was a gentleman behind the desk announcing they closing and I said ok , than time passes he starts to talk over the intercom saying they closing and every 15 mins after that I was thinking to my self that this guy can’t be serious all I want is a grace period ! It’s annoying and not great consumer service I got into a heated conversation and there was no supervisor and not a leader to really hear my complaints. . Be aware of this place .

If I can give a 0 star I would this place has a rat problem after having my stuff in storage I noticed some of my sneaker boxes and the outer box had been chewed through by rats there was also rat feces all over my clothing and on the unit floor then when I asked the employees for help they refer you to make a insurance claim then when you make a insurance claim the rodent problem doesn’t fall into the list of things they cover so they claim is voided basically if rats destroy and eat your property the insurance won’t cover you and CubeSmart won’t do a damn so it’s not worth using this facility at all. This was my experience

As an original tenant since 2017, I paid my rent sometimes six month ahead of time. When I attempted to change my unit for another one on sale, I was barred. I was told that the District Manager only offer advertised deals to new tenants only. It was at this point I realized that CUBESMART was not “SMART” at all. It failed to hold on to old or current tenants. In fact, CUBESMART does not have a “tenant retention plan” at all and do not value their BOTTOMLINE: CURRENT TENANTS like me. So I literally moved my treasured belongings across the street to their competition, “LifeStorage,” who accepted my tenancy with open arms. They told me how they value not only new tenants, but more importantly their old and current long-term tenants. I really prefer CUBESMART, but their nickel and dime approach to long-term tenancy, forced me out. Hey, my new facility may not be as aesthetically pleasing and clean, but there price points are significantly cheaper for the exact same size unit.

I spent over $320 to have my things moved to a storage room at a specific time and they were not there and I could not get my things put in and I could not get my money back from the person who I paid to put my stuff in the storage nor from CubeSmart that charged me $90 to rent a small space at that then they kept calling me telling me that I owed them money after I spoke to a supervisor and a worker and let them know what happened when it came time for me to put my things in storage and no response just kept getting a bill to pay pay. Time is of essence and that was totally unfair

The hours are changed consistently at this location. I also believe they need to change the hours generally to accommodate their customers. Opening at 7am and closing at 8pm. Location hours do not accommodate to working people schedules. When they come out of work the place would be either closed or closing. Some people work extremely early in the morning so they need time in the evening to get things. Below are the current hours at this location.

I've had a cube smart account for about four years. Since opening an account, the rates for the same unit has gone up about $30-$35. It was scheduled to increase another $20 on March 1st, a total of nearly $55 since I opened it. Then when claiming we had full access to the van for moving, I couldn't use it and was expected to pay an extra rate to move my things with a third-party mover. I ended up using UHaul. Would've recommended it when it was affordable, but now not at all. I moved to public storage. Their insurance coverage in twice as much for $3 more. They also didn't falsely advertise free use of a van.

Great Storage! I had it for five years and it had what most storage places don't which is affordable storage. Even small sized storage. Great memories of having it. If I ever needed to go back I would go back to this particular storage. Zero issues while having storage there and I would recommend it to anyone. Especially vs. any other storage. Don't know how they handle late payments because I was never late so can't speak on that but otherwise good.

Horrible place, the new staff is the worst. I tried to change my due date due to covid-19 and was told no! My payment was due on the 1st and by the second they were calling me threatening to place a lock on my door. I received a call everyday until payment was made. Their lack of consideration to what was happening was the worst. I was never late until covid-19. I closed my account and will never utilize this company ever again. Shame on you for not having compassion to what the WORLD was going Through! I highly suggest next time someone asks for their date to be changed that you do it.

It was my first time in this storage and at first I experienced a few glitches but I went into the main office and was greeted by super friendly and helpful staff. Mr. Clarence Neely went above and beyond to help my sister and I get to our storage unit and even brought us a cart to put some belongings on. If it wasn't for the staff I would have not been able to navigate the day there. Both gentlemen where courteous and helpful. I really appreciated it. Would recommend this storage unit to others.

The people that work here are amazing! Right when I walked in Dorothy Nieves explained everything so throughly and clearly I had no questions at all and I understood everything fully about my rental. I purchased one of their storage units at an online auction. When i got there i had to wait more than 30 minutes. They even sent me outside into the cold because they had to leave the office for a few minutes.. I got pretty annoyed but calmed down again quick. After all, I believe they did a good job and the manager seemed to really know what he was doing.

I really cannot remember when a company has had so many great employees in their hire. The lovely woman who helped me was Dorothy Nieves. Dorothy went way out of her way to help me. The movers, not hired by me, were late by over an hour. When they finally arrived, the foreman told me that 'there was no way all of this stuff was going to fit in this unit'. We then looked at the next size up and it was still too small. Finally we decided that this unit would hold my life of 22 years. These movers really crammed my things in there. I am sure that many of my things are damaged but that is not the fault of Dorothy , nor her manager, or the custodian. The Cubesmart team, led by Nedra, stayed for way over an hour putting together my new contract. Not once did I hear a complaint that they were staying late or had to go or some other excuse to get out of work. I am so impressed by the service and friendliness of this particular branch. I can only hope that others have as great of an experience as I did. Nedra made a horrible experience into a bearable experience. I learned something over the phone a few days ago. Each person needs to be reviewed separately. I cannot remember ever working with a finer, calmer, respectful than Dorothy Nieves. The Dorothy really went out of her way to really take care of me personally. I was a nervous wreck when I saw the way the movers treated my things. She really tried to calm me down and comfort me. She practically took me by the hand to make sure I got on the right bus to take me back to the train station. I really cannot thank her enough. The store manager at the time was Sept Logan. He was so helpful to Dorothy and me. He continuously approved keeping the store open for me as the movers were so late in arriving at the location. I appreciate all of the help that he gave me. He should be commended for his great over view of the situation. What a great guy! He approved all of the contracts and the and all of the price reductions that Dorothy could give me. I cannot forget Clarence Neely the custodian. He calmly walked me to my storage space as I was totally in a daze for the entire time of this move-in. He also should be commended for his politeness and calmness during my entire situation. What a great team! Cubesmart store at 955 Bronx River Avenue is really on the ball with doing their job and for the great customer service.

I love this place, my items are alway secure and the place always smells good and is well Kept. Awesome working vending machines which sell beverages and snacks. Forgot my passport about a month ago & the same day I left it Dorothy called me none stop even left me voicemails notifying me that I had left my passport at their location. I've been renting at this location for two years now without any issues. The ladies were always super polite and helpful. I had a personal situation so was late on payment so of course could not access my unit but I had a family emergency and needed to get a luggage out of the unit. I explained my situation to Mr. Clarence who was very polite and kind however he referred me to the manager Sept and he was utterly rude and disrespectful saying that he couldn't help me even going as far to say "well you can't find someone to front you the money so you can pay today and gain access" and even when I asked if he could possibly walk me up there just so I can get the one thing out he flat out angrily said NO. So needless to say I am in search of a new facility to move to because I understand policy is policy but it was unnecessary to be so mean spirited, rude, and nasty.
