TOP NOTCH STAFF! I call them family and will always swing by to say hello. Dasiny and Omar were my favorite! In general the team were fantastic and always so welcoming with a warm smile, ready to rectify any issues, and offered a hand to simply hold elevators or doors and my heart is full of gratitude. I had to go in to the office to make a payment and upon arrival, each of the three staff behind the desk rose to greet me! Quite impressive. The staff member who worked with me was Edwin. Edwin went the extra "mile" to bring me something that I needed to keep me from having to walk all the way back. He went above and beyond and I really appreciated it. The office and storage area is always immaculate. Absolutely no complaints.

2023 rented small space. Nice clean facility Excellent friendly customer service. Rest room is clean but requires maintenance and “repairs” to make it a welcoming space. In addition to upgrading the appliances to a modern status. Overall I would give this cubesmart a B+. Ok 2025 update the restroom is finally finished and clean. However, the two stars are referencing their pricing policy where they intentionally raise the price literally every six months. I feel that My payments have now become ransom. Pay or I’ll never see my storage items again. Climate control environment and clean is an expectation of any consumer. That’s why we don’t store our things in a dark alley in a garbage can and it shouldn’t be an opportunity for corporation extortion on the consumer. I’m just saying.

Motion sensor lights don't work. After the rain storm we had in The Bronx there was a huge puddle in the storage area. The motion sensor lights didn't come on so walked right in it. Called to complain and was told by the manager that it's a big facility so they didn't know about the water! The facility is always dirty.

If I could give cubesmart a zero I would. I posted a review on google and someone actually wrote to me and told me that I would be contacted and assisted. I was contacted nay someone who told me they couldn't help me and wrote me a general letter. End of story. I had to rent a new unit at a lower price and move all my belongings over because they would to honor the lower rate. Customer service is awful. Find a better company who knows how to treat their customers.

The young ladies at front desk are great, however their maintenance person BENNY is an arrogant rude disrespectful & overall a poor image for Cubesmart. His behavior does not represent customer satisfaction what so ever, and instead of helping customers who PAY for their rental storage, he feels going home is his # 1 priority. He told my movers & myself that he does not care, he completely disregard orders that were given to him by the on site manager, he used profanity at everyone involved, and it was pure disgust felt that I chose this particular location to store my belongings. Bartow Ave - Our storage was in the lower level and the smell was always horrible. Sometimes it smelled like rotten eggs and other times it smelled like human waste. There was always water on the floor that I couldn't avoid stepping in and then the smell was in my car. ?? Also, prices increased too frequently. I decided to move my stuff to another storage company where it didn't smell and the prices were cheaper. I gave the storage 2 stars since the employees were always helpful.

I was just at this location to drop off stuff. When I entered the elevator. There was a high smell of gas that got me dizzy and also smelled on the second floor. Near the elevator doors. Worst storage ever, previously for my storage needs I used uhaul they had 24 hour access and steady price. It hasn’t been 3 months since I signed up for a rate here and they increased my monthly payment. Then this is a location with lazy employees that close the place early. It’s bad enough we have to stop doing what we have to do to try and be there before 8 just to find out it’s actually 7:30 and you can’t get in.

So my car was vandalized while parked right in front of the entrance at this location and staff/management refused to show me footage of this due to their policy, police had to arrive first. After 5 hours waiting in the cold for the police that never arrived, I pleaded again to see the footage since I walked in as one of the employees who viewed the footage yelled "omg they did that on purpose". With the EXCEPTION of one employee, I believe his name is Brian, this was all handled inappropriately and without regard. The gentlemen Brian (he sits at the front desk) was courteous to come outside to make sure I was ok and showed empathy with the crime that took place. I am now traumatized with this as I will never know the events that took place within the 13 minutes I was away from my car and do plan on ending this lease to take my business elsewhere. Many thanks to the ONLY employee Brian who was most courteous and attentive.

This place is a scam! They tell u one price and few months later they charge you something different saying the fees have increased. Plus the people who work there are so rude and unfriendly.. I had a good impression of the place upon signing up, seemed clean and good service, large parking lot, but that dwindled quick. My move in day, the garage access was broken (I chose this location primarily because of the indoor garage access also making it easier to reach my unit which is like a rat maze) . my unit is so far back and hidden and the lighting on move in day did not work, so I am walking in complete darkness by myself, feeling very unsafe. The manager there (hispanic young guy) was very nonchalant about it when I called asking for help down there. Also very nonchalant about the garage access being broken over the course of multiple days and would not give me any sort of information about when/if it was going to be fixed. Lastly, on my move in day I got there right on time to when they are suppose to open, and waited at least 20min in my car because they did not open on time. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place, and train that manager on friendly and proactive customer service.

My family and I was initially concerned and not happy with the customer service provided from the Bartow Avenue location due to contacting the store manager to inform that the third party movers (Super Move) were delayed in their pick up and might be getting to CubeSmart after the agreed upon time of 6:30, to no fault of ours, the store manager was not willing to be flexible which resulted in having to contact the owner. After this, when we showed up at the facility, at 7:30pm, the gentleman who greeted us was helpful.

I was a long time member of extra space storage but got tired of all the fees. Decided to get a unit at my local CubeSmart and the difference is night and day. Luis left my unit super clean prior to moving my things. I needed the automatic sliding doors to stay open and Benny didn't hesitate to accommodate me. I also constantly see Omar cleaning the floors/restroom and leaving them spotless. A few days later i lost my keys and they didn't even charge me to cut the locks. Other storage charge for this, so it was nice. The entire team is great.

Yesterday I went to the Bartow location to pay my storage bill. The bill is getting exhausting. Without hesitation, after mentioning it, Julie Flores was able to make me feel like a valued customer. This will be the beginning of my third year at this facility. I haven’t had any problems while storing, the facility is clean and well lit. Everyone is usually pleasant but Julie went the extra mile. I’m extremely happy with the service I receive at the Cubesmart on Bartow Avenue. The staff there is AWESOME (Felipe,Omar,Francis,Benny). They always make my visit to my storage a very enjoyable experience,I’m always greeted with a warm smile and kind words. I feel like extended family. I don’t get to see her that often, but the Senior Manager of the store Julie is AMAZING!! I can see why her staff is such a great group, she is a very nice person. She’s attentive, and give the customer the utmost respect. I say this from a personal interaction I had with her. I won’t lie, I came into Cubesmart one day intent on raising hell over charges for a late fee, and Julie happened to be there. I was told to speak with her regarding my issue. She greeted me with a smile and asked how she could assist me. I immediately started barking & screaming that I was gonna “Move Out” because I thought I was being “Ripped Off”. She didn’t say one word, she let me finish venting, then politely ask me what was my storage unit number. She then went to the computer and looked up my information. She came back to me and explained why my rate was the way it was. She then proceeded to “upsale” me on a unit that was just a few dollars more than what I was paying, but twice the size. I was truly impressed by her. Here I am walking in ready to cut ties, then end up staying and with a bigger unit. Hats off to Julie and her team @ 1880 Bartow Avenue. Love you guys!!!

Staff is polite and Facility is clean and well lit. Our unit had interior lighting. Please note that the basement level is not climate controlled . The other levels are. There is a front and rear entrance. The rear has three loading docks for trucks. The facility is secure as entry is by a specific code entered in a keypad. Hand trucks can be borrowed by turning in one's driver's license as security.

I don't understand what's the point of having multiple workers if no one "is available" to assist customers. There aren't enough ladders depending on the timeframe of visiting your storage unit nor is there anyone to help move it if necessary but you're rushed out when it's time to close without any consideration whatsoever.

They left out the other fees from what they show online. Just know you'll pay atleast $30-40, on extra mandatory fees. Appreciated them contacting me to explain in detail exactly how the process works though. Their managers and customer service is really good. I still don't like the idea of the up and down changes in prices while you use their storage. Unless you pay for the entire year, your monthly charges may change.

They are the worst place to read from. The smell there is atrocious and the building itself in some areas is caving . The manager woman has very nasty attitude they lie to your face about security and have broken door downstairs that anybody just walk into. The place smells like throw up and sulfur mix. As far as the customer service; Superb. Why is it a 4 star rating then? Well, they don’t explain all the details when you reserve online. The price they offer is the unit alone. Thankfully I was prepared having everything else they required. But just a heads up, you’ll need: renters insurance (which the storage offers if you don’t already have it for your home), $19.99 for a lock (Also something you can get from Amazon for much less) and $25 for a one time admin fee. Other than that, the security was great, service great and unit spacious. Price couldn’t be beat.

- Worst customer Service ever, is unbelievable how negligent is this stuff when helping customers. - They don't offer containers for the garbage, no even small trashcan.

The staff is always friendly here. Very courteous. Every time I come in, they always greet me with a smile. I must say that even when you know I call in to make a payment over the phone they're always very courteous and polite. The service is great, 1st floor level is also great. Do not get storage at the Lower level, it's horrible and it's very hot. Feel sorry for those that will develop mildew.

This was my first time using self storage, I was a little nervous about leaving my stuff somewhere other than my house. The place is clean ,the staff was super helpful, & polite. I would recommend this location, also the lower level is gigantic, basically the size of the parking lot located right above it. I feel they're reasonably priced , I'm a happy customer

Loved the experience. I have an emergency and need to move. I’m also not very well health wise. I was worried about my possessions and found this company online. When I arrived it was such an amazing experience I walked away only worrying about resolving my health issues and where I will move to, my possessions are safe and the customer service is amazing.

A while back they overcharged me and it took 4 months to get the refund but as soon as you're late they're quick to call you and charge late fees... Even when they owned me they still charged me late fee, took 4 whole months to get a refund and they didn't pay me any late fee, aside from that their electronic payment is very limited so I literally have to go there each month to pay..... This is 2018 these kind of issues would never exist...

Outstanding Customer Service Once i walked in the office they greeted me with a smile and didn't had to wait in line. I needed to store a few things from my old apt and they quickly took care of me with a nice storage space on the first floor. The manager her self walked me around to all available storage units & within minutes all the paper work was done and i was ready to unload my Uhaul truck. Extra Space Storage should learn a thing or two from these guys. Great job ??

Upon numerous back and forth, it was clarified to me that Leticia at this store was the one making it very impossible for me to close out my storage. She was insanely rude, unhelpful; and condescending. I was formerly informed that so long as the unit is kept open (where the lock is removed), that they can close it on my behalf. This woman refuses to acknowledge that and so condescendingly reminded me to “LEARN HOW TO READ YOUR LEASE”. I am doing everything I can to ensure the storage is closed out and that I don’t incur further charges BUT THIS PERSON DECIDES TO BE COMPLETELY UNHELPFUL AND RUDE. For a company that markets itself for its exceptional customer service, more needs to be done to ensure you refrain from future hiring of incompetent workers incapable of customer service

The staff here is awesome! The General Manager Julia is very sweet and always professional. Melissa and The other tall gentleman I think his name is Jason (forgive me if I'm wrong) are also very professional always great customer service. I see them work well even when it's hectic and they have to deal with obnoxious people. I wouldn't rent or trust my things any where else but here. This is my third summer renting here. I hear people complaining about the smell but when they go shopping at the mall I bet they don't say anything about it there! it's not their problem co op city was built on swamp land and I must say the location is always clean and well lit. I love this place the staff gets rotated quite often but the General Manager has been there for a while and everyone she works with are so nice! Ask for Julia or Melissa and you won't be disappointed.

More professionally run than extra space storage across the street. Posted hours are the true hours. The rates are reasonable and increases are done yearly after the 6 month promotional price ends (extra space storage increases their rates every 9 months or so)

Our experience has been terrible. Someone (I believe that someone works there) changed the lock on our unit and stole our flat screen TV. When we brought it to there attention they expressed no sympathy or help but instead were very rude.

But in the case of CubeSmart in the Bronx at 1880 Bartow Ave. I will make an exception, due to the fact that all the staffs there are very very respectable and polite! and I say this with emphasis.
