Poorly maintained. Trash, rats, dust and debris inside and outside the units. They don’t warn you when they randomly increase payments unless you count sending a letter in the mail months after the increase. This place is scammy and predatory. Just don’t.

Poor customer service This location can do better. The staff just provided me with a code I navigated the place on my own. They charge you for a lock and didn’t have any available on the premises. But I done paid for my unit already. I’m hoping no real issue arise as I occupy this unit for the short time that I need it

The location can be difficult to get to using mass transit but overall i dont recommend. I didn't like that the hours posted on the door/online wasn't reliable. The price increases at least every 6 months and by $25-40/month. The customer service was very basic, I felt like I was a bother. The worst part was seeing rat/animal dropping all over my items in my 5x5 unit.

Would not recommend this CubeSmart location to anyone. The staff there are thieves. I had to move out of my apartment, so I stored all my belongings in this CubeSmart unit. Went there last week and all my belongings were stolen from me. I asked to talk to manager and he did the minimum to help. Just told me to call insurance and went to hide in the back. They have cameras, security codes and staff but apparently no one can recall people moving mattresses, TVs, furniture etc… They have cameras in the elevator but not by the hall ways ?? A worker there told me they have new hires every few weeks who work a week or 2 there. ?? I’m not the first nor the last person they will be doing this too. This place is a disgrace. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE

Rate went up within a few month of having the storage. The time I been to my storage room there been men hanging inside the storage and I didn’t feel safe going there alone. There are post about no hanging out or eatting but there was always the same group if men.

Employees are not trained well. I got a storage unit online and the one they gave me was already used by someone else , and the staff had to cut the lock twice to figure out what’s going on with the unit. I was evicted after 4 days because I wanted to store a motorcycle, which is allowed according to the lease agreement I signed. The facility also has a major mold problem and make you sign a page saying you will give up your unit if there’s mold

I've had this storage unit back when this place was called storage deluxe. There were things that displeased even then but now that it's been renamed Cubesmart it's gotten progressively worse. Not only were there missing personal items within my storage unit when my locks were clipped, they see fit to both unreasonably and unnecessarily raise the rent as well as the late fee on my storage unit. I was told by one of their employees that the rent will go up every six months. For what purpose other than greed? The employees are aware or involved in the theft of people's property. They have no cameras in the unit areas so if anything was stolen no one will be seen departing with whatever was taken. Between that and the constant rent increase and coerced insurance they make you pay it's been an unpleasant and insufferable experience. If I could do it over again, I'd have never come here. I can only hope that I get a big enough residence to house all of my things so I won't have to be here much longer. Lastly, the owner of this facility is obviously crooked and corrupt so I hope that they get whatever harsh karma which awaits them along with their theiving employees that work here.

Wouldn't recommend them.The light in my storage died and was never changed. Overtime there were spider webs all over my products. They raise the rent every year based on the "market". That's the problem with Publicly traded storage companies, Find a local storage unit. You'll have better luck.

Not happy at all choosing this location. A few things you need to be aware. The last bldg in the back. The floors are dirty. The unit doors dusty. It smells bad in the bldg in it’s entirety. I arrived and the unit was still locked and not cleaned out and ready for usage. Even tho I received a text a few days prior stating that it was before my arrival. I don’t feel safe going in alone as a female do to the fact that they allow the African vendors to sit and lounge around there units all day making hard to walk thru. I regret choosing this location. Will be relocating as soon as I’m able too.

Instructions were clear and easy to book online. Employees were helpful in guiding me to my storage location, and the use of the access code made the location seem secure. I was appreciative of the elevator and trolley carts to help me move my items. Of note, the initial pricing was confusing on the website (cleaning fees etc. not communicated upfront) but was not of big issue.

There was an issue with our credit card at when we were late with a payment. Destiny B one of the managers at 200 E. 135th St. reached out via email. When I emailed her back that we were out of the country traveling and there was a credit card issue which is why the payment didn’t go through. She jumped on the phone and helped me make with the information I needed to make the payment and resolve before further penalties. Her quick action and focus to help a customer was above and beyond.

Edit: if you're going through any financial issues, if you're disabled and can't come in to make a payment, if you're a veteran in status limbo. If you're elderly, disabled, ever got sick or have chronic pain, never store here. Domestic violence in transition, save yourself the trouble. If you're already feeling robbed and taken advantage of by publicly traded companies, you will only receive mocking and disrespect here. You will be convinced that there are no consumer protections. You can reach out to consumer affairs and the attorney general and no one will help you. The district manager will not call you. Supreme Court wants $200 to help you. Destiny will make sure that she puts you in your place. You can rest assured. How she was re -hired as the general manager as she claims is mind boggling. Supposedly Thana does not work here anymore. That is so depressing. You can go to public storage, you can go anywhere else, or better yet, just throw your things away. You will not get proper service here. You will be robbed and your things discarded. That is a promise. Original: Thana is the reason I would gladly give five stars. He is the only face I ever want to see at any cube smart facility. Professional, logical, helpful, thorough. A true problem solver. Please have him train others and the people on the customer service call line. I have to take away a star for the people who make it a contentious experience and are intentionally condescending. I've been seven years at this facility. Very efficient check in and check out process. The price seems to be the best in the Manhattan area. Units were kept at good temperature. All door latches were in good condition. Staff was available and responsive. I highly recommend that for Building E the door entrance is improved. Everyone uses a wheeled dolly to transport their goods, but the curb of the entry is big enough that it always creates a problem and leads to items falling off the dolly. Please pave a ramp to the entrance. Also, people need to remain aware of the access hours. They are indeed 8-8 as posted, but be alert to this; it's not a 24 hour access location. Which is fair given their pricing. I would use this place again for storage.

Rented a storage unit, no problem.. reserved the moving van for the next day at 9 am, no problem…went next day to pick up van, big problem. Staff on duty did not find any signs of reservation and stated that van was in a different location. Staff stated that there was nothing he can do and i would have to wait until the other staff member gets there but that he can’t do anything about it either so it was irrelevant. He began getting an attitude when questioned about the process, he got very disrespectful and started yelling.. And kept saying the conversation was irrelevant. I don’t think he knew the meaning of the word. The discussion was about the issue and inconvenience caused and I was calm about the situation. After telling him that if he didn’t calm down I was going to meet him at his level, he stated I was lucky he didn’t speak to me worse.. I told him if he did I would report him. he said all I can do is wait for coworker to get there at 10:30am (which I told him I understand that n know it wasn’t his fault)and see what can be done and if anything he will pick up the van from other location. I agreed to it. But he was still speaking to me very rudely. he stated that he will give me a call at that time.. It’s 8:47 pm.. they never called. Ended renting a UHAUL truck. Thank you cubesmart for you professionalism. Once month is over since it was already charged and paid for, will remove my items and go somewhere else…unruly costumer service ruins overall facility, no matter how clean location is.

Easy and clean, no frills storage. Easy move out process. Helpful and friendly staff. Only annoying thing was at move-in time, they lock out of your empty storage unit and you have to get a key to open up your storage, even if you provide your own lock.

My daughters roommates had to store her entire apartment quickly during Covid and we were just able to get her stuff out now. I'm extremely disappointed. I was excited about the free truck rental until I learnt no commercial vehicles on the highway. I stay a distance away and within the fine print there is a certain time period and than a charge of $100 plus a hour. For the truck ,you have to have your own movers to move quickly but the time is limited to create a charge , so not Free. The staff on certain shifts are unprofessional in regards to answering the office phone to address customer concerns. I called numerous times on different days to get one question answered and I had to call the customer service number to get in contact with this location with no resolution. I eventually had to leave a message to finally get a call back days later. On my move out, I found rodent feces in my belongings and traps along with pistachios shells within my unit that I did not leave which would cause the rodent infestation. I end up throwing some things out because of the feces contamination. I wasn't notified of this issue within my unit at all. Than to make matters worse my unit increased in price from $109 to $125 for a 5×10unit. I gladly moved my things out and found a different storage provider to assist me better for a lower price and better customer service.

I recently became a member of the Cube Smart family in September 2020. The facility is fine but the third party movers they suggested, paid for by Cube Smart (2 hours free with new storage unit), was horrendous. Never again!! They cost me $200 and were 5 hours late while I was standing on a loading dock waiting. Cube Smart - you should know better than to put your customers through that kind of service. Third party or not, they were recommended by your company and are attached to your overall customer experience. Now I feel like I get what I pay for. Competitors may be a little more expensive but have top service and solutions to moving and storage issues that don’t require 3rd party nonsense.

I made a reservation and arrived with no lock and told their locks were sold out. Juani the Manager was really great at helping me. She showed me the unit and told me to come back tomorrow..my rate is already locked in. Due to social distancing the next day I had to wait outside until the current customer was taken care of. Juani immediately recognized me from yesterday came outside and took my info to help expedite my move in process. She is kind and gets the job done! I highly recommend them.

First time doing storage and I was expecting the worse. Made a reservation this morning and there was a prompt callback (which I missed). When I called back, their rep Juanette (juan-net) was so helpful. She took the time to explain what needed to be done and the best time to do it. I can tell this going to be a smooth process Update: I don't know where they get their employees but this place customer service is beyond remarkable. Their manger, Ronald, helped me with all my questions after move in. I had a issue today and their rep, Angel was more than willing to help. Not too many places that exist like this with happy, helpful employees.

Honestly the easiest most seamless process I could have asked for. I got a free truck move-in for 2 hours included and Reginald (“Reggie”) was our driver. He arrived within the time period promised, was super communicative, gave me a heads up when we were running out of time, and was very helpful. Given my experience in New York with moving, I was shocked there was absolutely not a single issue. The cubesmart employees at the desk promptly showed me my unit and gave me the lock and it was done.

If I didn't need storage in an absolute emergency I would have gone elsewhere. I got offered a free truck and driver to move but when I called them, the office was closed. I didn't get to select how much I wanted my things insured for. Staff was polite but the way they talked made me feel stupid. Also, the manager stopped helping me to converse with another employee and another customer. I doubt I'll use the same location twice.

We went to rent a unit and we heard about them giving us a truck to use for free for 2-3 hours and we found that to be a good idea but when we got there the truck was not working so when we went the next day we asked about the truck and it still was not working and now they are not giving us the free truck to move our stuff for 2-3 hours so we are going to ask for a refund because this is poor service and we can go elsewhere and get better service

Ive only had my storage unit for 2 weeks, and it was broken into. The management team never called me to inform me about this and Im sure the other 5 people units thats were near mine dont know what happen as well. A lot of hidden fees. The offers that are promoted with the rate you don't really get. They don't tell you until you get there and already paid for the storage unit that the "free" moving truck and driver is on a first come first serve basis and it's not guaranteed that you will get one.

I rented a 10X10 space and the price I got per cubic feet was significantly cheaper than storage units in Manhattan. The space was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the carts were quite useful. The staff was friendly and informative throughout the registration process. I walked in here one day and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful and friendly. I liked what I saw and reserved a place. Moved in there today and had no issues. I like the fact that they pretty much don't interfere with anything and leave you to do the move. My room was deep inside so it took a LOT of walking but I had no issues. Some annoying things- you can't prepay. So if you want to lease from jun 16, you need to come into the store and pay on jun16. I wanted to do those formalities earlier so I didn't have extra work on moving day. But they didn't let me do that. I'm guessing that's more a company policy thing.

They have rats on the outside and mice on the inside do not put your items here..do you know what it is to fi d a dead mouse on the top of your belongings. I have no food in my unit.. totally disgusting, review all bills.. Our experience at CubeSmart Self Storage was great! Hector Rijo did a great job. He made sure we got an unit that satisfied all our requirements. He was courteous, proactive and very good at explaining all questions. Everyone at the office was friendly and I would recommend CubeSmart at 200 E 135 St., Bronx, NY 10415.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The hours are ridiculous though, they are open throughout the day and close at 7:45 , but many people work during the day and for the price per month, one should have greater access to the units. Although, this appears to be specific to corporation policies and not this specific location. Also, they have strict security in that you need to constantly punch in codes to get into the front door and to your particular floor in the elevator, but there have been break-ins to individual units, so the added security seems all for naught.

CubeSmart has been a wonderful storage company from the beginning. Mel, the professional who assisted me when I moved in last week, was awesome. Mel took the time to explain everything about the space options, the prices, the terms and all the various other details that I needed to know. The facility is very clean, tidy and welcoming, and I really didn't feel like they were trying to "upsell" me or anything like that. I like it so far, and I would recommend this location. If you do go, ask to speak with Mel - he will take great care of you.

I wouldn't recommend this storage site to anyone. There are African vendors sitting around all day selling things from their storage units. And yes I forgot the most important thing, my unit was broken into and a lot of my things were stolen.

It started all so good. I was shown the spaces in advance, could choose etc. On the day I tried to pick up the truck I was rejected becauw se of my foreign drivers license. Please train your staff better, and explain to them what to do if a foreign drivers license --valid in the US as per The Hague Convention -- does not have an expiration date. I felt harassed because the provincial employee of a multi culture city couldn't deal with a world beyond her horizon.

The I rented a space the day before I was ready to move in. I was offered the first month at half off. The next day I picked up your truck and after loading it up I realized the room I had rented the previous day was not adequate. I returned to the site and asked for a larger room. I was told that I was only entitled to a $38.67 credit from the $80 that I paid the day before for the smaller room and that I would not get the half off for the room which they did have(which unfortunately was larger than I need). So I was penalized for needing a larger space even though I had nothing in the first room I rented (rented to make sure I had that room). As for the rooms they are very clean (they wouldn't let me put my stuff in until they swept and mopped the room). The location is excellent. I just feel that I was not treated with consideration in the rental process.

I had a great experience at this CubeSmart location. When I arrived I was taken to see my unit before committing to it and was allowed to change to an even better location after asking. The employee that helped me even waited to go on his lunch break, so that he could make sure it was swept and cleaned before I started moving my stuff in. This company also allows you to use your own locks if you prefer (whereas a lot of other companies make you purchase their overpriced locks), but does sell fairly priced ones too. Overall, I had an easy time moving into my unit (they have dollys for your use) and appreciated the ease of my experience with them.

Ricky provided exceptional service! Quick check-in and handling of paperwork. Very good company, but you need to fully understand the facility options before picking a unit (e.g. climate control, floor number, accessibility). Also, best rates are obtained online from the corporate web site and not from the facility itself. The better employees at the facility will assist in clarifying locations of available online listings.

Cube Moving moved me belongings from Forest Hills, NY to Charlotte NC, last week and my move could not have gone smoother, the movers are fast and friendly.
