This place is a bait and switch, punzi scheme they give you an attractive price to move in then in 3 months raise the rent ridiculously high, I just got a notice of increase for $100/mo after 3 months of renting, that’s a nasty increase for a storage place that have limited access during business hours only, so if you have a job forget about getting access because after 6:45 Mon to Sat you can’t get in, and Sunday you have till 3:45. Very unreasonable for these high prices

I switched my storage unit from one of the ones on Edson Avenue in the Bronx to Life Storage, and I am so glad I did! Jaszmin, Abe, and Manager Crystal are super awesome, friendly, and accommodating. It's super clean, there's a water cooler, plenty of air-conditioning, I don't have to turn in my ID for a cart or just to get on the elevator and I have a bigger room for a better rate. If you are considering getting a storage space there, do it!

we have used this facility for months and really pleased about our experiences! Last week, I rented a 5by8 room for extra stuff but accidentally put my stuff in a 5by10 room. They called and allowed me one week to come back and move stuff without extra charge because I was in a business trip out of state. I went back today to swap stuff but found even the 5by 8 storage room was too big and request to change to a 5by5. The staff (Jasmine and another gentleman) were very helpful and kind, making my moving and swapping process smoothly and effortless. I really appreciate their understanding and assistance!! I would highly recommended this facility to anyone.

I use to like this location with the previous Store Manager Maritsa but not to sure about the new staff. For one, Manuel and Abe need to provide accurate information when requested. I was mislead name misinformed. Manuel sometimes don’t know how to talk to customers and handle situations. No one picks up the phone when I call and when someone does I’m placed on hold. He asks like he is the manager but he actions says otherwise. If I could give zero rating I would.

Warning!!! The Spanish man name Manuel Ronda is the biggest con artist I have ever met. He lied to me about the insurance policy and storage prices. He communicated to me that the insurance was a rental mandatory policy and the only option were $26 and $47 insurance. He fail to mention that “NO INSURANCE ” was an optional! He made us buy a lock when I already had one, stating it was a requirement which was another lie. You don’t need insurance nor a lock to rent a storage space at a discount price with this company. Then, when I called to inquire about the situation he had the audacity to tell me if I’m not happy I have until the end of the month to vacate. That this isn’t his problem in an unprofessional condescending tone. He was extremely rude and disrespectful over the phone. Then the call was disconnected while I was still talking. He didn’t try to hold himself accountable for his lies. What kind of customer service is this?! Life Storage should focus on hiring new people that doesn’t lie to customers in order to made their sale goals. To top it off, he also did the same thing to my family member when I asked her. We ended up getting a rent increase less than 3 months, which he failed to mention. It was a rent increase of $50-$90 . He acts all friendly during the rental process to trap you on purchasing additional items. He made a few inappropriate jokes during the rental process, that should’ve been the first red flag. Manuel is a clown and is a bad representation of the brand! Please avoid this company and this person at all cost. I’m highly disappointed and unsatisfied with the service I was given. Also, they have a mice/rat infestation and water flood issue. Some of my items were damaged and no one in the office assisted me. Corporate should retrain or terminate him. I never wish bad on anyone one but this person isn’t qualified to even be an assistant manager. I will never recommend him nor this company. I regret my decision renting here. Save yourself some money and go somewhere you are appreciated as a customer and not just another dollar transaction.

I recently rented a unit on February 11, 2024 for $71 (with insurance included) and already received a notice about a price increase to $120 (with insurance included). THAT IS AN OUTRAGEOUS AND EXHORBITANT 69% INCREASE!!! As happy as I may have been with the cleanliness of their facility and how close it was to my place of residence, I will have to terminate my contract and move out before May 11, 2024.

With so many storage businesses around, I decided to go with LifeStorage, Treasure Island. There I wasn’t sure which storage room to purchase but with the service of Assistance Manager Gloria Cordero, she made the process of getting a unit easy and smooth. She was able to physically take me to a few units until I agreed on one, further talked about my renting options, and answered every single question I had. Maritza was such a sweetheart and a life saver! I had to vacate my apartment in less than 48hrs and reserved a unit at each of the 2 Eastchester locations. She reached out and addressed my concerns, was super supportive and secured the unit the met my needs AND had the BOGO promotion. The location is easily accessible by car and transit. You can pull up right into the entrance to unload easily. AC and climate control units available. So glad I found this option just in time :)

I will give this place 3 stars because when i first joined it was perfect. Since the new management its been a horrible experience. No one answers the phone. i have been calling for hours and i have never had that happen before. The new website for payment they force you to have does not work which is why i have been calling and still unable to reach anyone. They now charge to make over the phone payments which also I never had to do before. I knew i was going to have issues since the initial call i had that there was new management. They are on time to call you when you miss a payment but won't answer for anything else. Bring the old management back or get it together. ugh!

I LOVED the storage rooms! Temp controlled and CLEAN! staff is very nice and professional, more professional than you'd expect which was refreshing i felt very comfortable at the end of my transaction with the decision i made to get a storage unit, because after all it is another bill. They were very patient and spent as much time with us to go over every detail, as well as, answered every one of our questions. This location boasts an opulence of hand trucks to assist with your move and offers a wide variety of packing solutions (storage boxes, tape, bubble wrap etc). Their facility is well kept and is in close proximity to the I95; reducing the hassle of driving through local roads and additional traffic signals. I have been with Storage Post for a lot of years and one day my friend and neighbor Luis said did you look in your mail box. I saw your Ad about Ti. We went to the facility to check it out. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Dante who showed us what your company had to offer. We went back in the office where we met another employee Juan who was very knowledgeable and equally as friendly. Louis signed up right away for a space. I had to wait to sign due to my financial situation. I have now joined the TI family. The storage is clean and managed well by employees. I saw Juan sweeping and cleaning the grounds, making sure the plants were watered as well as taking care of the inside of the building while Dante was serving new potential clients. Juan is an exceptional person and employee he is an asset to your company. I had a setback at Storage Post and Juan made my move in stress free. I am so happy I chose TI. I came back to conclude my business as I told the men I would and met Kalea who was also very helpful. I now have 2 units at your facility. The staff was informative, professional, and very customer friendly. I have sent a couple over and they have rented from you, I have another person interested in a space she will make up her mind soon. I will be spreading the word about your storage. When it comes to current customers, this location is the worse. From my personal witness, the manager and the staff focus on getting new business at the expense of providing that same "excellent" service to the current customers. Note that others have also spoken about some of the same challenges. Maritza, Manny and Pamela are probably great when it comes to support at the beginning. But there are other reviewers that have commented on the "smart mouthed" comments when making inquiries that should also be warmly received. This used to be a great location when it first open...clean and customer friendly even to long standing customers. But over the years, it's management staff has been inconsistent and questionable at best. Was hoping that being acquired by Life Storage would help bring a higher standard of customer service (was a customer of them too). But I am disappointed and disheartened to say that that standard has yet to be instituted at this store to date. My expectation is that the owner takes this feedback seriously and more closely monitors the store managers to treat current and new customers the way they want their own family to be treated. And to provide a way to report and reprimand those who dont so it doesn't continue being a hardship to patronize this location.

By far my favorite storage facility I've used in the five boroughs. Treasure Island was accommodating and affordable, but can we expect anything less from them? This facility was easily accessible to move things in and get them out when needed. I'll continue to come back!

Their friendliness and customer support at this location was so far beyond expectations I still don't believe it! We went to three other storage places and at each location all the employees couldn't be bothered with us. The folks at Treasure Island were so helpful, polite, patient and friendly. They offer a free moving van (with reservation) to move things back and forth!
