Brian at this particular CubeSmart location was a lifesaver for us. At the end of a long moving day, we discovered our couch wouldn't fit up the stairwell into our new apartment. We found this CubeSmart nearby, and ran over to see if they could help us out. Brian went above and beyond to help us find the cheapest available first floor corner unit that we'd be able to maneuver the couch into, and he stayed a few minutes after closing to make sure we were able to get the couch in and all the paperwork sorted. It truly saved us on a very stressful day. And when we went back to pick the couch up and close out, he remembered our names and our story. Bonus: first month was free, aside from the sign up fees and insurance, so it was all very affordable, too. 10/10 would recommend.

I am uneasy about my continuing renting a unit at this location. My recent experiences at this location, specifically in relation to one of the staff. In this review I would like to express my concerns about potential discriminatory treatment. Firstly, I would like to mention that I find the overall quality of the location to be fairly decent. However, it is regrettable that my interactions with the General Manager, Mr. Brian, have been far from pleasant or welcoming. I have noticed that he consistently exhibits a condescending attitude towards me, which has made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. To illustrate my point, I would like to share a particular incident that occurred recently. Due to a change in my card details, I had to update the payment method for my unit. When I I received a call from Mr. Brian to discuss and update the payment method, he not only made snide remarks but also threatened to evict me from my unit. This was an extremely alarming response, especially considering that it was merely a payment-related issue. Furthermore, during our conversation, I began to realize Mr. Brian was making my disputes with him were personal and even insinuated that some members of the staff were not fond of me. It is disheartening to believe that such animosity might exist based on personal biases, particularly considering that I am a person of color and Mr. Brian is a white male. I cannot help but perceive this as a potential case of discrimination, which greatly concerns me. As a customer, I believe it is essential to address these issues as they not only impact my experience but also the overall reputation of your establishment. Discrimination, in any form, is completely unacceptable and goes against the principles of fairness and equality. I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate actions to ensure that such incidents do not occur again. It is important for all staff members, including Mr. Brian, to understand the significance of treating every customer with respect and professionalism, regardless of their background or ethnicity.

Quick, easy, and comforting. I’m normally used to people doing the bare minimum because that’s all that’s needed really. The moment I scheduled almost immediately I got a call and instead of an annoyed voice I got Brian simply letting me know about the specific location, and making sure he got all of the information correct. I had to reschedule again and he wasn't annoyed in the slightest but told me it’s fine and just told me the updated version of what’s to happen. I’ve already made this long enough but leaving it was just a warm nice feeling. To move items back and forth, no matter what you’re going through, whether a good time or bad time, these guys will make the process easy, comfortable and judgement free. Thank you for being so awesome, and thank you for being so understanding. I couldn’t recommend a better place to place your storage in.

This CubeSmart location is by far the best - for its size, options, and consistent cleanliness, but more importantly, its customer service and management. Brian, the General Manager, is kind, friendly, and goes above and beyond for his customers — I’ve experienced this first-hand with every interaction for years, and have seen him deliver great support to other customers, and CubeSmart employees, as well. The gentleman who maintains the facilities is just as passionate as Brian is in delivering exceptional service. Both he and Brian clearly take great pride in what they do - ensuring a great environment for all - and it means a lot to be welcomed by them when we go. In fact, this year, I considered switching locations because we have moved a bit further out, but after visiting other CubeSmarts in the area, we decided we will stay; this location is just the best of them all. Who knew going to a storage unit could be such a pleasant experience :) If you are looking for a location, don’t hesitate to choose this one!

Go somewhere else -manager blue eyes blond hair male very disrespectful, speaks with nothing but sarcasm. Last but not least try to find reasons for me to stay to pay for extra time, I removed everything before closing . He told me you’re all set & he just sent out the email . I knew not to trust him so I waited and as expected he never signed me out to add to his petty tantrum. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I wish I went up the block to the nearest one: I’ll never recommend this place again & will definitely gladly be back to help my friends relocate.

The local employees and facility are great but corporate policy causes multiple aggressive rate increases, sometimes within a short timeframe, and they give their local employees little power to counteract them. I don't understand penalizing long-term rentals and the lack of effort to build brand loyalty.

This location is fairly convenient and I was assigned a unit on the ground floor, so it's nice that I don't have to use the elevator. The price is a bit higher than some other storage operators, however, and the size I received wasn't quite what was advertised. I rented a 5'x5' unit online, and when I arrived at the actual unit, it was more like 4'x5'.

Manager Brian Clement is Brash, Agitating, Rude, Aggressive and lacks interpersonal skills. Please deal with Mia if you need this particular location. Otherwise go to Grand or Vanderbilt locations - right down the block.

Clean, secured by a pass code entry and cameras. Very pricey. The unit I had for years was equal to a car note. This price will continue to rise over time, so I paired down and got a smaller unit for now. I can appreciate your response. I was and am aware of the contract I signed. My review is rooted in facts, not malice. Thus, I am still a customer of Cubesmart. Just as Cubesmart decides to increase cost because of the rising cost of business. I made the best decision for my financial cost as well. And found a happy medium. I was able to acquire another unit closer to my home at a more cost-effective end. There are rats here—I stored my belongings in Unit #1237 for three months, from October 2021 until January 2022, and in that time, rats chewed through many of my clothes, boxes, pillows, and sheets, and left droppings on my mattress. There was rat poison in the unit, too, beneath my furniture and behind my mattress. CubeSmart is not offering to cover the damages. The insurance policy the facility requires you to purchase upon leasing a unit does not cover damages related to rodents. (It deliberately excludes them.) I paid $750.00 in rental fees over three months only to lose an additional $750.00 in property damage. It's a scam: I'm out $1,500.00. Don't store your stuff here. It's not worth the health or property risk.

When are you ever open? I've called twice, tried to enter the lobby twice, once with someone standing behind the desk, and tried to use the elevator with my access code (the access box had the wrong time listed and claimed the area was closed), all during business hours, and haven't gotten through or gotten in. I did manage to drop my stuff off one miraculous time, but hopefully I'll see it again sometime? I only have a small window to access my unit during the week, so it would be just amazingly useful if you were open during the business hours you list both online and on the door. That's like the bare minimum of being a business, right? Deeply regretting all the time and effort I spent storing my stuff there.

Great service and facilities at this location. I am not giving five stars due to the hidden fees I was forced to accept. It wasn't until the end of registering that I was told that the amount quoted to me online didn't include all of the fees. There was an additional mandatory $12 per month insurance fee. The final amount was still reasonable but hidden fees are extremely predatory. There are also very high fees if you are late with a payment or there are issues with your bank, card, etc. Long story short I wouldn't recommend this storage spot if you have a tight budget and may not be able to pay on time.

My company upgraded to a larger storage space, so we had to change locations, but the folks at 1050 Atlantic were SO nice, efficient, professional, and clear! Shout out to Affiya & Brian. Charizma helped me on move-in day too (she's from 945 Atlantic), and Sherwyn at 900 Atlantic (our old space) was great too. Excellent, cool, and fun staff!! Glad we're sticking with CubeSmart. (The space is great too - very clean, easy to access, and secure). Also the music at 1050 is SO MUCH BETTER than at 900. ;-)

Bait and switch price tactics, STAY AWAY! We got a small unit for storing some leftovers after a move for a month. The lady helping us was all smiles and help, let us move all of our things into the unit before we did the paperwork. The quoted price minutes earlier now had tacked on all sorts of extras: service fee (I pay you to get a new customer??), insurance. We declined the insurance as we're covered through our renters insurance for storage as well, this became an impossible task for her to take off, we'd have to come back the next week for her manager to deal with. On move out day, 30 days later, and still June, we got charged a single day worth of storage because "we didn't come yesterday" but at this point we couldn't get out of this place quick enough. Advice: take your money elsewhere, don't give these crooks a single cent.

This was my first time using a storage facility. I went to the wrong cubesmart on Atlantic Ave and the young man there was very soft spoken and kindly directed me to the right facility a block away. As I walked into 1050 Atlantic I was so impressed with how sparkling clean everything was including the air and the atmosphere. This young lady Afffija Blackwood, omg, sweetie you're the best. She was pleasant, didn't rush me and didn't rush to explain things to me. It was like seeing someone I hadn't seen in a while. We were laughing and catching up on old times. She casually ask about some of the things I would be storing and I told her and a gentleman (another sweetheart) I would be storing my craft supplies and showed them some pics , they seem so interested ( I bored them and they were polite lml). Affija thank you so much for your help and time. Your service was impeccable.

EDIT 2019-06-15 After an unexpected bicycle breakdown (brakes stopped working) forced me to stay at my storage unit a few minutes past closing, the janitor came by my cube and started berating me and harassing me to leave. This happened mid-repair, which pulled focus away from the emergency fix and further delayed my exit. I am currently keeping all my possessions here while sleeping on friend's couches. This means that the timing often only allows me to stop by just before closing. This is not the first time I have been harangued by this janitor during close-out. It's hard already making this arrangement work, and it's just that much more unpleasant to deal with his terrible attitude on the way out. -------------------- Original Review: PROS: Staff is pretty friendly (except when it comes to shooing people out before closing). They offer a free truck & driver service to assist move-in, which is great. CONS: Storage access is only during business hours. Facility claims to close 15 minutes before the posted time on the front door. The music playing in the background can become maddeningly annoying at times.

My wow moment at this facility started when I was greeted professionally by the manager Phil. I was moving my late father's belongings out of his apartment. This move was during a very emotional time, and Phil helped me get an appropriate sized room at a promotional rate along with a van. The move went smoothly, and I could take care of my late father's property without hassle or stress. I highly recommend this location for storage and moving needs.

Our organization rents three units at this location. There was a complicated issue with billing that we needed resolved. Phillip was very knowledgeable about the billing system as was able to explain the descrepency and send the detailed reports I requested in a timely fashion. Had a WONDERFUL experience this week with the staff here. Tara was incredibly helpful over the course of a confusing day where I didn't know how much stuff was coming, how big a unit I needed, how to get it there, etc. And then I ended up with more stuff and had to come back a different day and get a new unit and she and Phillip were both totally awesome for me, figuring out the best plan for my stuff, etc. Really lovely folks, super helpful, couldn't have gone better. So I never thought a storage place would be where I got the best customer service, but the staff went above and beyond. Not only did the staff make the rental process stress free, they became the warm and friendly faces as I moved my items in. I had a wonderful experience at this CubeSmart location. Elizabeth went above and beyond then call of duty, staying extra late hours waiting for me to drop off my first load of storage when the van I was using broken down and I had to wait a long time for the breakdown truck to come help. She was friendly and relaxed and never made me feel bad for getting there so late and keeping her from getting out of work. Thank you Elizabeth! Jassen also was great and helped me select the best cube for my needs. Overall I *highly* recommend this CubeSmart. Words cannot describe how friendly, helpful and great this staff is! Also the facilities themselves are spotless, efficient and easy to use. GREAT location!
