Evil. I must give them 1 star because of their ruthless, relentless, disgusting corporate policy of jacking the rent up, up, UP at every opportunity. They got me in with a low monthly rate. $125 or something like that. But they openly admitted that language in the contract gives the company the right to raise the rent after an initial period of a few months, at their discretion. So I asked when that might happen, and by how much? No answers, sorry, that's all we know. Well guess what? A few months goes by and, just like clockwork they raise it to $160. A year goes by and they raise it to $199. There's no reward for being a good customer who pays regularly. There's no concern for offending you and making you move out. They are a huge corporation with an army of MBA consultants and strategists and they've factored all that in. You have no voice, no say-so. There's no humanity here, just a cold pursuit of maximum profit until you break and move out, and they re-load with a new sucker. They understand exactly what the rate of attrition will be from raising rents on their customers, and they have decided that this is what works best for themselves and their shareholders. You will sit there for several years longer than you should, because it is such a colossal pain to deal with a storage unit full of things that must now be sorted and thrown out, or moved to a new place. They know this. It's cynical, but this business was designed with the singular mission of exploiting people. Providing a place to store things is merely incidental to that mission. If they could exploit you even more by selling toothpicks instead of providing storage units, they'd be in the toothpick business. CubeSmart is disgusting to it's clients.

I have had no problems so far and the staff have been consistently helpful. However, I just rented my storage unit in late October and was informed by mail in late December (only a mere two months later), that the monthly rent would increase quite significantly - by $40 a month. The annual increase and cost will just be too prohibitive. In speaking to the staff, I was subsequently informed that I should expect a rate hike annually going forward. I wonder how long-term customers - similar to those that provided reviews on this site - are able to continue storage with this particular company at this location when these costs continue to increase by such amounts! Reading various online reviews, I see this seems to be a specific practice of this company. I am curious if others have had a similar experience? I will now have to find a more affordable option and move everything out - no easy feat for a single person with a young child. UPDATE: the manager of the location contacted me personally. I was shocked that she did that and worked to resolve the issue entirely. Amazing customer service! Though now upon reflection, it makes me wonder how rate policies are set and implemented. But truly, the manager was amazing.

For the most part this facility is clean and well maintained, although there is a fly problem. The staff are great and helpful. But they lose one star for their rates, which have gone up nearly 50% for my unit in just a few years, while at the same time they cut the hours back, so they lose another star for that. They're only open 9:30-6pm M-F. Thats when people work. I literally was never able to go to my unit during the work week. All their competitors in the area have better hours. Not sure how you can have a self-storage business that's not open when people are free to access it.

on February 28 I went to visit the storage at 900 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn once I opened the locks I realize 50% of my collectible were gone. I was devastated I call management immediately and the police. I realize that they got into the unit through the top of the storage. management told me there’s always a security guard making rounds. I said nobody saw this. This takes time it was over 20 boxes or more. I called a moving company to get the rest of my stuff out immediately. usually thieves always come back for seconds. inside job? detective on the case said we’re looking at everything. Once I got my stuff home and took inventory, that’s when reality hit me about $18.000 to 20.000 of collectible items were gone. Things that could never be replace again. Total nightmare for me. so if you have a storage unit, be careful.

The storage is clean and well run, but renewal pricing is abusive. Watch out for crazy increases on renewal, their pricing practices are really abusive, you will not feel like a valued customer but just being taken advantage of. It's a shame as it's a good storage facility, access is easy with the app and linked elevators & automated access doors and easy parking.

Would’ve easily gave an 5/5 star but finding out my card was not enrolled in autopay after I specifically asked it should be and could’ve risked losing my belongings if I had not checked my email. This is my first storage space and Someone of the name of Rubi G helped me out. Everything was easy and accommodating except for my card being forgotten about for autopay. Also the 3.59$ fee for online payment is confusing and not direct.

The staff is amazing BUT We had water damage in our unit on the groundfloor. The insurance they provide does not cover this damage and they require you to sign a document waiving them of any liability. All Cubesmarts likely have this. If I were to do it again, I would not rent any of the ground floor units. We were forced to do it because we booked a larger unit that was around 30% smaller when we measured it. I am suspicious of Cubesmart knowing this is an issue but continuing to rent it as they have no liability. The least they could do is get insurance that covers this damage but it looks like they are working together to screw over their customers.

They Are extremely pushy at When it gets Close to time to close nothing they don’t take into consideration that others are getting off of work at 5 PM and a 8 PM closing time please and narrow window for any type necessary storage. Went out side at 7:45 and the doors locked I tried to beg my way back in At 758 when the guy was doing his walk around I told him my storage was open and My jacket and stuff was still inside and he told me hurry up after he saw me knocking on the door when I was locked out

I had a nice experience renting a unit at this CubeSmart location. Joyanne took me to view several units right away, and afterward, my reservation was immediately confirmed. I also received a call from HQ to ask if I had any questions and prime the upcoming rental with some logistical info for me. The day before, Sherwyn at the facility gave me a reminder call and also asked if I would need the complementary truck with driver. I asked if it was okay to come a day earlier -- no problem they were ready anytime. Deshawn and Simone were helpful at the location and Joyanne was also there with a smile. She remembered me from my earlier booking tour. This facility is kept immaculately clean and the front office is neat and functionally organized. The units are competitive in price to other facilities in the area.

I’ve been storing my stuff with Cubesmart on Atlantic Ave for a couple of years. I went in to upgrade my units from two small lockers to a larger walk-in unit. From the minute we walked in Simone was super accommodating and helpful. I have used this place for years. It's clean and exactly what you would expect a storage facility to be. I wish the hours were longer but I really like the staff. They are always kind and helpful. In the past I have used cheaper places like istore green, but ultimately the time saved by paying a little more for better service and availability is absolutely worth it!

I tried to book a space at the 900 Atlantic Ave location and online it quoted me a certain price. I went in this morning and they no longer had the space I needed because of a computer error. I was upset, but Kenya gave me the number of another location 2 blocks away. I found the same space but it was going to be more than double because different locations have different prices. After asking them for help, Simone and Kenya called the other store and got me the space I needed for my original quoted price. Those two ladies are professional, nice, and really care about the customer. Now my space is all set and they helped me with the boxes I needed. They were wonderful!

CubeSmart's 900 Atlantic Avenue was the third storage location I tried in the process of my move, which ended up being hectic for a number of reasons. Senee Nash was super helpful from the start. She calmed me down immediately (who isn't frazzled on move day?!), helped me work through my existing reservation, and then speedily made a new reservation for me. She was very patient as I tried to decide which size space to take and took the time to show me each option available. We ended up moving until the last minute, but she was really nice about it and helped as much as she could. During a move wherein everything that could go wrong went wrong, Senee was a much needed, smiling, accommodating, helpful bright light. All of CubeSmart's staff have been lovely, on the phone and in person. I highly, highly recommend 900 Atlantic Avenue for excellent customer service, later hours, and general ease. You will agree!
