Needed to store a handful of boxes for a short term lease. Website was really easy to navigate and see storage options. Once I reserved online I got a call almost instantly and received really clear instructions for self-service. Access info was also provided in email for easy reference. The team left a lock I purchased through them in a welcome bag which was awesome. I had my items in storage within just a few hours of reserving online. No issues at all getting items stored ASAP. Highly recommend.

This review is a long time coming, for which we apologize. We just want to say that the CubeSmart Self Storage at 338 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn is exceptionally convenient and well maintained. There's plenty of easy parking in the rear and a helpful staff in the office. We worked closely with Sagirah (especially) and Kiseena to set up our spaces. Hats off to them both for their knowledge regarding the facility and its operation, friendliness, and genuine concern for our choices.

These corporate storage businesses are terrible. First off the biggest gripe is they'll more than double your price after 3-4 months. That's MORE THAN DOUBLE. Then because it's corporate you'll go through a sea of pressing numbers on the menu on the phone just to get something done. Too bad there aren't many small biz storage but just have this expectation. I was paying 670 for a 5x15 and online today it says it's renting out for the low price of 770. Imagine what that's gonna be in 3 months.

I had a good experience here for a couple of years, but the smaller units that you have to access by ladder are basically impossible to reach into. The ladders aren't high enough and you have to maneuver awkwardly or (jump!) to get to your stuff in the back. I am 6' 1" so I don't know how a shorter person would even do it. In the fall, I was getting a couple of things out of mine and I slipped and fell, dislocating my shoulder, and injuring the other. I emailed asking if I could move my stuff to another unit, no reply. A couple of weeks later I found a voicemail that the regional manager had left, but then I called back, no reply. A few months later, I walked in, and asked about moving units. A young woman told me there were several larger units, on the ground, that were only $105-115 per month, and I was surprised as I though they were more like 150, and didn't want to increase my rent that much. I said great, she led me to see several rooms, we went back and forth and I finally decided on one, willing to increase my rent for the safety of access. Alas, I forgot my ID, so I said I would come back with my car and more stuff to load in, she says, great. A couple of hours later I come back with a loaded car, and ID, she starts to register me for the new room, and she flatly says, "you won't get the promotional rate, so it will be 150 for the room." What? I say, "well you didn't even mention that those were promotional rates." She says, "let me call my manager." Manager says, "correct, he will not get them." And that's that. I cancel the new room, she just says, "sorry about that," as though she did nothing wrong, and I leave, in the same predicament. I call the regional manager to explain this in a voicemail, no reply. Waste of day, waste of time, basically lied to my face about the rates for an hour.

Sadly the customer service at this location is horrible. As a former employee for this location I would never talk to people how I got spoken to. The first incident was not receiving a rent increase notice so I wasn’t prepare to pay the new amount. I end up giving them a call to let them know hey I didn’t receive notice if they can hold off on the increase till next month but they made it seem like it was a huge problem for someone who always pays the bill with no complaints was an issue. The person laron who was on the line kept calling me “my nigga” which I did inform him was very unprofessional and said well they mailed it so figure it out. I told laron payment would be made Friday And when I asked him to note the account he did say he would not do so. Today I get a phone call because laron of course did not note the account so not only am I being called multiple times but I still have this increase on my account. The person who called today refused to give her name and did have an attitude when I asked for the district managers information which she gave me a name and hung up the phone. Not receiving great customer service is a huge turn off for me. And I’m going to be removing my items from this location. At this point regardless of being a former employee they had no idea who they were talking to not knowing I am very familiar with their bosses in hcube including the president of the company.

As I write this, the attendant has just walked up, and acknowledged that I was here waiting, and proceeded to go in locking the door behind him. It’s 28 degrees. I may be old fashioned, but it’s expected that if a company has posted hours that they be open and operational by that time. This location has already minimized their hours, shortening the window of time to access the units. I’ll be moving my things.

My experience has been pretty great so far, my unit was the best price in the area, and I love that I can walk to it. I got a hand truck, and it's surprisingly easy to bring stuff to the unit from Park Slope. One warning: when we went to move in, we brought a load of stuff with us, but when we arrived, the office door was locked and there was no one inside. There was a sign saying they'd return at 3pm (at the time it was around 1) and we panicked thinking we'd have to go all the way home with our stuff. We called the number, but it's the number for CubeSmart corporate "Customer Service" which was completely useless (and the service agent was actually really rude). Thankfully, a few minutes later the staff person came back and let us in and helped us get processed (which took about 15-20 minutes to sign the contract and have him show us the unit (which they are required to do) before we could bring our stuff in). He was really helpful and friendly. He mentioned that he was the only staff person there that day, and he's not allowed to leave the office unlocked if he's not there (which makes sense) and he had been showing another person to their unit... still doesn't explain why the sign said he'd be back in 2 hours? He said that he doesn't usually work at this location and he didn't know about that sign... The moral of this story is... if no one's there but it's during normal business hours, just wait a few minutes, someone will probably be back soon! Since getting signed up, getting back to my unit has been completely easy, and it's really helped with our organization to be able to store seasonal stuff there! Another tip: we saved money by getting a unit that you need a rolling staircase to access, and I was worried that it might be annoying but it's really not an issue for our use (storing seasonal stuff, in boxes, no furniture). The ladder has always been available when we've needed it, is easy to maneuver, and feels very stable once it's locked into place.

The people working at the front desk have always been very helpful and efficient - in particular, Joyann was super nice and helped us pick an additional unit that was near our existing unit and perfect for our needs. Great experience with the gowanus/parkslope location. Easy unit transfer, Sandy was great at persuading me to transfer my unit with a promotional discount and the General Manager Branson was very pleasant and patient with my billing inquiry. Clean air-conditioned and nice staff. They are professional and friendly. We won a free month on customer appreciation day, so definitely go. My ONLY complaint is that there are no outlets anywhere to charge my phone. Probably by design, but it’s annoying because there are many reasons to need a phone in storage- to ask your significant other if they really want whatever lame thing is that they own. To list something on craigslist or eBay because you need it out of there. It can be dark in some units. You won’t regret owning an electric lantern or something. FYI They no longer let customers use the dumpster, so you have to take all your garbage and recycling with you when you go. Then you’re wandering around gowanus looking for garbage containers. But I suppose if they let customers use the dumpster oh there would be trash and rats everywhere and it would cost a lot to have someone take it out.

Don t use Cube Smart: At first they are proposing you a free truck for your move but you have to go and sign a lease: -it will be $70,00 more by month if you go and sign the lease -the company who bring the truck choose the hour of moving with a gap of 2 hours( and then they charge the extra half of hous $50,00:as i had movers i lost 2 hours withthe truck company,so i had at the end to rent a truck in emergency and pay extra hours to my movers. -if it s a big storage,don t use it as well: you will have to go the 3rd floor and the elevator is small,you will have to do a lot of travels to bring everything up. -they cut my locker because they said it was unsecured: they resent the new key but never received it. i suppose they will charge it of course. My suggestion: go to U HAul, they are really nice,have affortable trucks to rent and have storage. My move cost me $400 more because of this company af i have to pay more monthy because i didn t register online .

The facility was large,clean & had a peaceful vibe to it, I was greeted with a smile by the 2 ladies at the front desk named Bethany & Safiya, both were friendly,effervescent & most of all ATTENTIVE! This was a quick process. The manager Safiya showed me the storage and explain the process as we did the tour. I honestly wasn't sure how long this would take so I set aside about 2 hours, not knowing it would only be a quick 15 min setup (with tour included). I would highly recommend if you need a storage place then use this Cube Smart, check online for great deals and be sure to ask for Safiya to show you the way.

Terrible customer service. One of the few times Ive tried to drop stuff off I went at 8am when they open but no one was there. I had to unload the uber and sit in the sun waiting for them to open. At 8:07 the manager finally shows up and acts like I am bothering her for expecting them to honor their hours. I then had to move my boxes inside their gate, get a cart and come back for my stuff. Altogether the delay set me back 20 mins that morning. The manager didn't even bother apologizing or offering to help me with my stuff. Avoid if you can.

This CubeSmart is great enough that I'm prompted to write a review. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility has ample parking in the back plus a loading dock which makes it very convenient and easy to use (I checked other facilities near me in Brooklyn and this was the only one with parking, which makes a huge difference). It's climate controlled and clean. And, bonus, it's right near Whole Foods.

I had scheduled my free truck and driver through Cubesmart, and because of some miscommunication between the truck company and Cubesmart, we ended up at the storage unit, truck full of my belongings, at 8am just to be told that the building does not open until 9am. Luckily, Von, an employee, happened to be there getting ready for his shift. He comes out to talk to us, and graciously lets us empty the truck in the back of the facility so that we could release the driver. Once we unloaded the truck, he told us my stuff would be safe and told us to come back at opening so we could fully move in. When we returned, he was nothing but helpful, bubbly, and outgoing. He made the moving process so much less stressful and I really appreciated it! Thank you Von!!

Highly recommend this facility! Extremely quick, clean, and secure. Zaza the manager was friendly and organized even when I came in last minute. The units are handsome and with good lighting and a bit of music playing. Load in was a sinch with the easy access door and load area. Funny neighbor next to my unit works out of his unit repairing printers- you can always count on New Yorkers being resourceful.

Great price for 5x5 locker. Great customer service. Managers have all been very friendly. Convenient location, parking, and access hours. Only complaint so far into my first month is that my personal access code has not worked. I was first told that the entire system was down, but after 10 days I am not sure why it still hasn't been fixed. That said, someone at the desk has provided a temporary access code for these 3 visits and have assured me that it will be resolved asap. One additional comment - you have to basically climb to reach the 5x5 lockers, which is not ideal for heavy items/furniture, just a warning.... but I do feel like I'm getting a solid value here.

Our Team arrived in Brooklyn from New Orleans with 15 pallets of LiFE10 Alkaline Drinking Water with nowhere to store. We went to Uhaul looking for storage when the employee said go up the street to CubeSmart they have bigger units. I came in today to open up a second storage unit for my company to store things and Jervon (Von) was SO great! He helped walk me through all of the different payment options including extending the lease on an existing unit and calculating the difference in paying month-to-month or up-front with a few different lease date ranges. You guys, NO JOKE: over the course of my many work-related relocations across multiple states and countries, I have used more storage facilities than I would like to admit, and this CubeSmart location is by far the best! It's CLEAN as can be, but more than that - the staff is simply above and beyond. This was my second time using CubeSmart as a storage vendor and again they knocked it out of the park. Super easy facility to access, the nerd in me appreciated the high speed garage doors, and they have plenty of logistical aids such as hand carts and rolling stairs to help you get your stuff where it needs to go. I also want to call out Oscar the manager for being extremely helpful in our setup process. We walked in and got all sorted for a small storage unit in a matter of minutes, and Oscar was patient and thorough in answering our questions and explaining the processes of the facility. He also kept an eye on us while we loaded our first few items into the unit and was opening/closing doors remotely from their controls in the lobby. Overall a great experience, recommend these guys to anyone in the Slope/Gowanus/Boerum Hill/Caroll Gardens area looking for a little extra space.

Very clean storage place. I always am welcomed by the staff with a smile and a hello. I especially want to thank Latoya. I was a client of two others in the area, and know the difference between a Great storage place and a sad and dingy one. I always feel comfortable at this storage location, and it allows me to spend the time that's needed to organize my stuff. The hours here are very convenient for me to come, and the staff are always on time, which was not the case at the other storage places, where on many an occasion, I had to wait sometimes up to half an hour for someone who arrived late. One more compliment, the bathroom here is always shining and bright and clean, like a private hotel rooms bathroom. In a city like New York, this is a wonderful and rare, comfort. Storing in general, can be a depressing situation, but not here, thanks to your superior staff. Thank you also to upper management, which allows its staff to do a great job, and not be too stressed to be kind to its clients. Thanks again. Joel Warshawer.

The service here is awful, the guy working there was so rude to my Movers. The fact that you can't pay for one week at a time even if you I my need a a day is petty and pathetic. The elevator door only stays open for about ten seconds when you may need to put at least three dollies in, the list goes on but basically and in short, if you can find another storage place, Do So.... I just moved into a bigger CubeSmart space when it became available -- a 10 x 15 that now contains most of my household goods, furniture, clothes, books and other items, as we fly to California in search of a new home. I have been using this location for about 5 years now. Cubesmart took over and WOW! what a great lift! It's the cleanest storage spot I have ever seen, friendly and helpful staff and I feel really safe with my things here and also when I am moving stuff in and out. There is always staff present and they have dollies and supplies if you need them. Always a spot to park inside and a really clean bathroom. Great job!!! Also side note on recent trip. They could see on the camera that I was making lots of trips so they kept door up for me so I could do it more quickly and efficiently. Always going the extra mile. Love the staff and Von always has a welcoming smile and great help. Can't say enough about this location.

My profession requires a storage facility. I've been in NYC for almost 5 years and have had experience with a few storage companies. I like CubeSmart for the following reasons: 1. Professionalism of staff. Numerous times I've come in and not once does it seem what I need from them is a burden. They are always helpful and they remember personal details about you. 2. Accepting packages. CubeSmart accepts packages sent to this address from UPS, FedEx, even USPS. Manhattan Mini doesn't do USPS so the fact they accept packages from any reputable delivery service is appreciated especially when I'm not cannot always select what company is doing the delivering. 3. Handling of packages. Once packages are delivered they dutifully log each one and then call you to notify you it's arrived. They even hold it for a few days if you can't make it immediately for some reason. You don't get dirty looks either if you come a few days afterwards but I try not to make this a habit. I find it's much safer to have the packages sent here than risk it being taken if it's left outside my apartment . 4. Facility. It's busy but never overwhelming. Always space for parking. Clean and well maintained. I do wish they were open a little later on Sunday but nothing major. There is always someone at the front desk unlike some other storage companies which took an hour break for lunch everyday with no one at the front desk! 5. Location. Easy location to get on/off the BQE. I can't speak to the competitive rates because I've been here now almost 3 years but I did inquire about a rate jump within 6 months after I first came. They made no hassle and extended the initial rate for another 6 months. Doesn't hurt to call their office, they seem to be willing to work with you.

Been storing belongings there for awhile. The manager Latoya and her staff have always been friendly and easy to work with. As far as the facility - tough to beat: excellent parking, easy load in, secure, clean, climate controlled, and an awesome Italian pizza place down the block.

We walked in without notice and the staff was extremely accommodating, professional, courteous and polite! They were awesome! And this place is CLEAN! tons of parking, very modern, very convenient. And very affordable! !!! UPDATE: Walked in without notice looking to upgrade my space. Latoya immediately dropped what she was doing and showed me several options to help meet my needs. She was wonderful and extremely helpful! I love this place!

My experience was great. I came in on the last day of the month of November after being away for a while in Los Angeles and was helped by Samuel Moise. He was really patient and helped me get into my storage after being away for a while and facilitated my purchase of a new lock and even waited for me and others past closing just to make sure I was able to successfully get my lock on. I really appreciate his kindness, patient and above and beyond service. It makes a difference when someone sees you need just little more time, gives it to you without making it hard. What great customer service and such a self-sacrificing spirit to not be rule by the clock but by compassion. Thanks Samuel!

This location is now owned by Cube-smart, but they kept all the employees so it's the same great service, it's been about a year now that I've stored here, the free doorman service is super useful!

Cubesmart is awesome! The office is helpful and always knows which cart I want before I even have to ask. The place is clean and safe. I heard such horror stories about storage units I never wanted one, but Cubesmart makes having a storage unit a great experience.

It's a nice enough storage place. But they pulled a complete bait-and-switch with the price. Quoted us a low price over the phone, confirmed in person, then with the discount for first month it wasn't obvious that the actual price was 5 times what they told us. Will cancel our unit ASAP.
